He wants to price gauge because he sees dollar signs thinking insurance will be involved. I had a…read moreroof leak caused by my solar panels, and after calling multiple companies, no one wanted to touch it because of the panels. That's when I reached out to Pacific Water & Fire, and I'm so happy I did! They came the same day, inspected the damage, and had a team of technicians back that very same day to start repairs. Dorin treated my emergency, as his priority, which meant so much to me. The roof over my balcony had already rotted due to water damage and needed full replacement-- but thanks to their fast response and expert work, the roof held strong through all the recent Portland storms! Next thing he did was treating my fire damage after an electrical fire. During the winter, my furnace stopped working, and while we were waiting for the repair company, we had to rely on space heaters. Unfortunately, something went wrong, and one of the plugs caught fire. Easy to reach, honest, great work, and they keep good records…read more Unfortunately we need to rebuild our chimney, and fix a crack in our flue. I had our contractor friend take a peak after The Top Hatter reported all this last year, after I hired Top Hatter to clean out our chimney. The company I had hired the 2 years before, reported nothing of the sort. Our contractor friend agreed with Top Hatter's report, and said the price they quoted was fair. I misplaced the the quote/paperwork from last year. And wasn't even sure which company had made the report. I called Top Hatter the other week, inquiring if they are the company who had seen us last year. The lady who answered the phone was cheery, did a quick search for my account, and had all the notes from last year, in front of her, in the company's system, with in seconds. We were so impressed with their low cost, professional business that we asked if they would expand in the future to include other home repairs we had! Mike, AJ and Joey were the best! The owner got back to me almost immediately, and took the time to figure out just what I had in mind for my possible chimney work.
