Brought my car in this morning and had such a wonderful experience that I felt compelled to immediately leave a review. I worked primarily with Fred, the owner. I had been told by another mechanic that I had a timing gasket cover leak (+ quoted an expensive repair) and I wanted a second opinion. I greatly appreciated how Fred did not speak ill of the other mechanic and instead said that it was likely true. What he did differently was take the time to show me the leak and educate me about the possible causes. He suggested attempting to fix one of the other (cheaper) possible causes, but was honest that it was 50-50 whether or not it was the issue. Time will tell if this is the end of the leak! Either way, I'll be taking my car to Fred (Antonio's) for all of my car needs & will be recommending him to my friends & family! read more

After reading excellent reviews, decided to take the wife's car to Antonio's for an engine light issue regarding a cylinder misfiring. Issue was fixed the same day and picked up the car that afternoon. I was traveling to San Diego to get away and be in the warm lovely sun. And then my car started doing weird stuff and I couldn't tell if it was just the battery or if it was something worse. Anyway, this spot was about 6 mins away from where I was staying and let me tell you!!! I can't recall the name of the gentleman who helped me but I LOVE me an honest mechanic. I don't know ANYTHING about cars and I genuinely appreciated that helped me figure out that it was JUST my battery. And not only that but he also told me that if any other mechanic were to tell me it's something else, DON'T BELIEVE THEM. He was just incredibly kind and helpful. 10/10 would recommend. Antonio fit us right in for an inspection on Saturday mid-day for $60, a decent deal for the job. He's straight-forward and gets to the point, he showed us everything he saw and detailed concerns. He also hooked into the computer to make sure no lights had been cleared. He also offered to inspect our second car for free! I'm not from the area and unfortunately my car broke down nearby on a Saturday morning. I called 3 or 4 other repair shops who were booked up and couldn't take me but Fred answered right away and said he could take me right away. As soon as we arrived he greeted us and got to checking out the car asap. Unfortunately the part wasn't available until later in the week but Fred did everything in his power to try to help solve the problem (called 4 dealers to try to locate the part). I was having some challenges and hoped it was only my battery but it did turn out to be the alternator. The incredible thing is that he was going out of town on a vacation with his family the following day, had cars in the garage and in the lot but somehow still managed to replace my battery and alternator all 5:00 p.m. He didn't want me to have to go the weekend or rent a car. This was about two and a half months ago and everything is running spectacularly. Toyota of Poway told my wife she needed $3,000 worth of work done on her 2014 Prius. I took my car to Antonio's for a second opinion. They checked over the car and told me that Toyota was wrong about needing to flush and change the coolant, as well as wrong about needing a $2,000 fix on the timing cover. Toyota lied. There was no timing cover leak. Antonio's changed out our front brake rotors for a fair price, and we were on our way later that day. I had no idea what I was doing when I pulled into the parking lot this morning but I was immediately helped by Antonio himself. His first recommendation was for me to consider another option that would be a lower cost for me. Immediately I know that this guy was not messing around and knew exactly what he was doing. I thought I had an electrical problem with my trunk and they diagnosed the SUV only to find out there is a secret switch on the inside of the glove box.
