    Sashimi

Unfortunately the sushi made my tummy hurt. None of the sashimi was served on ice which may have been the problem but unsure. Originally we were told we could only order 5 pieces of sashimi per round for the entire table. Then we were told it was 5 pieces per type of sashimi per round for the table. Not sure if the number changes with the number of people, but as a table of 3 this was the rule. Rolls were fine. Their ice cream is basically the ice cream cups you get in school.

I will say I've had better ayce sushi, but the variety on the menu here was the one thing that I liked. Especially with all the new places opening up in Houston, I'm not sure that I would come back here. While the food was ok (it didn't taste bad or anything), I got a really bad stomach ache after eating the food, and I don't know if I felt like the fish was the best quality in terms of freshness. Also, one of my rolls had a piece of a barcode sticker on it. I was told it was from an avocado, but that's never happened to me elsewhere. I really appreciated the ambiance and liked how modern and aesthetically pleasing it was inside. Also, I will say our server was 10/10 - super kind and attentive and would keep checking on us, which was really nice.

Everything was delicious Server was great and very informative! Ambiance was really good as well. Very clear

My first review of 2026 goes to Aokicho, which I had the pleasure of dining at during the first weekend of the new year. It was recommended to me by an Uber driver recently. And, boy, was she right about it. Anyone who has eaten at Ohayo and Sushi Moshi is likely to enjoy this fairly new culinary gem not too far from League City's South Shore area. I swung by during the Sunday afternoon lull. Getting a table wasn't that difficult. A friendly waiter then introduced himself, handed me a tablet, and explained the ordering process. So far, so good. Selection wise, I'd say that Aokicho tends to have a little more. Plus, there were some items that you wouldn't find at either Ohayo or Sushi Moshi. The way I order at AYCE sushi places is I always go for the starters and appetizers first. Aokicho's tataki selection is in the neighborhood of top notch. Its poke salad isn't only delicious, but an amazing sight to behold. The kitchen staff put lots of effort to assemble it. I then helped myself to some fried rice, gyoza, and hibachi and teriyaki entrees as I would at the other two places. While the items came in small portions, they were enough to make me stuffed. So much as that I was only able to manage just two orders of sushi. With Aokicho, sushi lovers in the Clear Lake/NASA area have another option. It's a bit of a ways from 45 so it could be a quite a drive for most people, but it's worth it once you get here.

Texan roll spicy, soo good ordered two.

This place is the best all you can eat I have ever been to. The food was delicious and the Kyoto roll is the best roll along with the shrimp tempura. The service was amazing and the server was very nice. The music was nice and the place looks amazing inside. Definitely recommend going here.

We went during their 3rd day soft opening and upon entering, their decor is so beautiful. Very upscale and modern vibes. The thought and details they put into decorations really stood out to me. The service was great as well. Ash and Jacob were attentive and checked on us frequently to see if everything is okay. Super friendly and easy going. The food here is awesome. The fishes were fresh. I love that they had mini chirashi and poke bowl options for when youre craving the rice and fish combo. I really love their tonkatsu broth! It was truly rich and bold without it being too salty. I haven't had the opportunity to order any specialty rolls this visit since I got full way too early but that will be an updated review for next time. My husband said that he loves the portion sizes. His favorites were the appetizers such as the edamame, chicken wings, and the robata skewers. My son really loves their salmon hibachi and the cheese puffs! I liked almost everything I ordered, however some of the sushi appetizers could be a bit too salty with too much fried garlic. Overall, this place has a lot of potential. A solid 4.5 stars! We cant wait to come back when they have their grand opening!

Loved this AYCE sushi! Our server very attentive and everything came out pretty quickly. Ambiance is very nice - you don't feel like you're eating at da club like at other sushi places!

First visit at this new AYCE sushi place. We were headed to Sushi Moshi but saw they aren't a BAFL member anymore. There is only one price here, Dinner, at least when we went which was a Sunday at 1pm, so it is more expensive than Sushi Moshi BUT the choices include beef (yes even Kobe beef) and just more selections overall. I saw later someone in a review got a lunch price so maybe that is during the week? If its like Sushi Moshi you dont get those beef selections on the lunch menu and a few less options overall. For my husband the dinner was best option anyway. Place is clean and modern in decor. We were greeted, seated and served promptly. Cody was our server and saw hes had good feedback on other reviews. We agree. He is friendly, attentive and professional! We ate alot. My husband who doesnt care for sushi had the gyoza, cheesepuffs, kobe beef, grilled chicken and beef skewers, udon noodles, pineapple fried rice, coconut shrimp, tempura chicken and shrimp and possibly more I lost track of. I had seaweed salad, gyoza, spicy edamame, some of hubs cheesepuffs and coconut shrimp, shrimp tempura, poke bowl, three handrolls, salmon and tuna sashimi and salmon and tuna sushi. We had to tap about before i could order any rolls but nice selection of those and hibachi and terryaki. Ice cream options for dessert. Everything was fresh! Nice presentation and the serving sizes are perfect so you can try several things. Even hubs who doesnt love this cuisine said we would definitely do again! I would return for lunch as I eat the seafood primarily so dinner price isn't worth it for me.

We stopped by on Day 2 of their soft opening--I've been waiting for this place to open, so it was a pleasant surprise to see it finally up and running. Still not sure when the official grand opening is, but we were excited to give it a try. The decor is super cute, bright, and clean. They even have those fun claw machines up front, which adds a playful touch and keeps the kids entertained. One of the coolest parts is that you can actually watch the chefs making your sushi right behind the counter--always a good sign of freshness and quality. It's an all-you-can-eat buffet with separate pricing for lunch and dinner (dinner is a bit more expensive). On weekends, it's dinner pricing all day. If all you can eat isn't your thing, they also offer a takeout menu, which is a great alternative. I had the Holiday Roll and it was delicious--fresh, clean, and well-prepared. Everything we tried was really good, and even my kids enjoyed everything they ordered, which doesn't always happen! The staff was very attentive and patient, which we appreciated. They're clearly still working out a few soft-opening kinks, but that's totally expected at this stage.

They had many options and the quality seemed pretty good over other AYCE places I've had. The offered sauces on the side-eel and spicy mayo. This is a good value for AYCE. The crab Rangoon was not it though. It was really crunchy which is good but the inside lacked the cream cheese filling. It was like eating basically the shell. I tried the dragon roll, snow crunchy roll, red snapper roll, and rainbow roll. My favorite was the dragon roll and snow crunchy roll. They were full of flavor and their rolls aren't too overly stuffed they were small and came with 8 pieces.. I liked that they were easy to eat. The service was ok I wish there was an easier way to get the servers attention. There were times where I wanted to order more but the server was elsewhere. It didn't even seem busy but the place is so spacious that maybe it's hard to check on customers? They have dessert too but I did not try any.

Nigiri, sashimi, and rolls were tiny - and also took the longest to come out. And it sucked, because we could only order "1pc per person per order". So it took about 30 minuted for one order of 5 tiny sashimi pieces to get to the table. For someone that can't eat anything else with mayo or sauce in it due to GI issues, it was agonizing waiting for my meager pieces to arrive. There was so little raw fish in each order, I couldn't even confidently gauge the quality. I'd say around grocery store quality. Desserts came out way before before earlier sushi orders. There was also very loud rock music playing the entire time. The place felt claustrophobic and sticky.

We were initially told the wait would be about 20 minutes, but it ended up being closer to an hour. Once we were finally seated, ordering through the iPad was simple and convenient. The sashimi and hibachi dishes arrived quickly, while the specialty rolls and fried items took considerably longer because of how busy the restaurant was. To get the most value out of an all-you-can-eat experience, I usually focus on ordering sashimi. My favorites were the salmon, yellowtail, and eel, all of which were fresh and enjoyable. The spicy scallop sushi was the standout of the entire meal and easily my favorite bite of the night. We ordered a wide variety of dishes, and that was the one I kept going back to. The steak hibachi was solid, with well-seasoned meat and generous portions. The fried oysters and crab rangoons were both crispy and cooked well without feeling overly greasy. The specialty rolls were good too. While none of them particularly stood out, they were all enjoyable and well made. Overall, there was not a single dish that I disliked. Even with the much longer-than-expected wait, the quality and variety of the food made for a satisfying all-you-can-eat experience. If you plan on visiting during peak dinner hours, I would recommend expecting a wait, but once you're seated, there are plenty of options to make the meal worthwhile.

I feel like it leans a bit too much on the chili oil taste and struggles to stand on its own as a dish. I enjoyed the cucumber here, since it helps balance the overwhelming flavor, but I do wish there was more and it was cut into thinner pieces. Thai Style Chicken - 5/5 - Always has been my favorite dish here. The chicken is flavorful but not overwhelming. The lettuce helps balance the dish. The peppers add a strong kick if you're feeling spicy. The sauce is perfectly salty whilst not powering over the other elements. No complaints. Birria Ramen - 4.5/5 - Definitely not the choice if you want ramen, and thankfully I was not really craving ramen on this visit. For the standards of this dish, this is a perfectly good example of this dish. The broth is rich and extremely, almost to a fault, flavorful. The ingredients are not natural for a ramen, but they all somehow come together well. Not everyone's cup of tea, for sure, but it definitely was mine this time.

We were not the first customers and a nice crowd gathered by the time we left around Noon. It's clear Fuji Ramen has a good reputation and it is well deserved. The place is decent sized and has a nice vibe. We were greeted when we walked in the door and our server quickly stopped by to get our drink order. She told us to take our time with the menu. Mark had a question when she returned with our drinks. Her guidance was informative. We ordered Gyoza to start. Mark ordered Spicy Miso Tonkotsu and I got Black Garlic Tonkotsu. The Gyoza was typical and delicious. Mark couldn't stop gushing about the Spicy Miso Tonkotsu. In addition to the broth, the pork and egg were standouts. It was so good he had to pick up the bowl and ensure he got every drop. I was equally enamored with the Black Garlic Tonkotsu. The noodles were done to perfection. The broth was slightly thick and delicious. I agreed with Mark that the pork and egg offered explosions of flavor. We would definitely be regulars at Fuji Ramen if only we lived nearby. Because we have family here, Fuji Ramen will always be on our list any time we visit.
