Visited this place while in NYC and I dream about it every day! Food: I got the Smoked Salmon on the everything bagel and all of the flavors on the bagel just fit perfectly! I also loved the tanginess of it all. They were pretty generous with the smoked salmon, I loved it. Service: Staff was kind and quick! Ambiance: Lots of seating inside and it was pretty clean and spacious. Overall coming back when I'm back in NYC!

Weeks later I'm still salivating. This bagel was incredible. I had a craving for lox and Apollo fulfilled it and then some. Their smoked salmon bagel is perfection. The bagel is a bit crunchier than I typically like it but the flavors came together so well and it was absolutely delicious. The lines can get long so come early! There are two lines - one for ordering and another for picking up food. It didn't strike me as a dine-in place, would recommend picking up and eating elsewhere. The place isn't too big. Classic NYC spot! Next time I want to get the scallion cream cheese too.

I'm bummed I just discovered this place and also mad that I got so quickly addicted. I went 2 days in a row and now have tiny daydreams about the sourdough bagels. As someone whose tummy is very happy when I avoid gluten but is also a bagel lover the struggle is real. I have walked by Apollo Bagels for many months not knowing that they specialize in sourdough bagels. The shop is spacious and there is seating and a bathroom. Line is often long (one of the reasons I never stepped in before ) but moved quickly. Service is quick ,the menu is small and this place runs like a well oiled machine without sacrificing customer service. Very friendly staff and I saw orders being doubled checked while packing. Bagels are more than fairly priced especially for the fantastic taste and quality ingredients. The tomatoes definitely had a good upbringing :-) I was very fascinated by the orange juice machine, it juiced out a cup of fresh oj in seconds from the huge feeding basket . I have to try it on the next visit. I had tomato and cream cheese on sesame bagel. ( ok I had 2) they were so damn good. I was greatful I had it in the privacy of the car . Devouring it the way I did would have got me on some viral shame video had I done it in public. The bagel was crunchy om the outside , warm and the inside light, fluffy but still a little chewy. The tomato slices were farmstand perfection. Slightly yet perfectly seasoned with a touch of salt and pepper . My second visit the day after I had smoked salmon with all the fixings. Another hit . My ace is still going to be the tomato & cream cheese, simple- but demonstrates that you dont need bells amd whistles, just quality ingredients. Plain, Sesame and Everything are the 3 bagel choices.

As a native new yorker, this bagel was pretty good! Ample amounts of seasoning, fresh toppings, and a decent crunch.

Worth the hype. Line moves quick, service is quick and nice. Casual walk up and the tomato bagel was awesome! Iced coffee was great too.

I could not stop thinking about this bagel my entire trip. We got there on a weekday morning around 11 am and it was pretty crowded but we got our orders quick and the lines moved fast. Service was nice and friendly as well! I got the lox bagel on an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. The lox tasted so fresh and light, not fishy at all, and their marinated onions added the perfect crunch and acidity. Scallion cream cheese had a good flavor and I think they put lemon juice or lemon pepper seasoning on top? Which was chefs kiss. Probably one of the best bagels I've had in new york for my visit. You guys HAVE to try the lox bagel here i totally understand the hype. There wasn't much indoor seating since it was so packed at this location, but they had benches under their awning outside which was nice to sit and eat at.

Located in the Financial District and within walking distance from the hotel I decided to come here to try out this new bagel store. This place is quite popular and there is a wait. The menu is simple with just a few items that they serve, but it is so good. I ordered the everything bagel with smoked salmon and added scallion cream cheese for an extra $1.00. The bagel itself is quite crispy and the cream cheese is super delicious. Made with fresh ingredients and the dill with it was just great! Also ordered fresh-squeezed orange juice for $6.50. The juice is very refreshing but the size of a kid's cup for sure. There are some small tables and chairs but it is quite packed in here so you might not find a seat. They put everything in take-away containers anyway.

I'm not a bagel person but this bagel was DELICIOUS. It lives up to the hype! - Smoked Salmon with capers and cream cheese on an everything bagel (5/5): so delicious and smoky. The fish tasted fresh and the capers and oil on top paired so well with everything. The bagel itself was nice, chewy and dense. But beware, this was a $15 bagel, but it was very filling. Would like to try the tomato cream cheese bagel next time. Good spot for takeaway or to sit (maybe a total of 7-10 seats). You order at the front.

Picked up bagels on a Sunday morning and they did not disappoint! The options are limited but very good. I got the everything bagel and regular cream cheese. The bagel was seasoned very well. The exterior has a nice crunch while the inside was light and fluffy. Very good!

Great bagels and service. I ordered the salmon lox and a bagel with just tomato and cream cheese. Both were delicious

I like sourdough and the bagels here are good bouncy and full of airbubble holes w a good slight tang. Usually I get it toasted and or just sliced and always a sesame bagel. I didnt wanna justify paying for tomato slices and cream cheese for $7, but today I did and it was flavorful peppery and good olive oil drizzle it was delightful to eat. I like the coffee it feels slightly fizzy and comes from a tap, another one of my go to.

We visited Apollo Bagels on a Saturday morning, and there was a line out the door. However it did move quickly, so we weren't out in the cold for too long. The interior had pretty much no decor - just some seating and a casual ambiance. The menu was tiny for a bagel shop, which kept things simple. I ordered the smoked salmon, cream cheese, onion, dill, and capers on an Everything Bagel. We were able to snag a table inside and service was reasonably quick considering how busy they were. The girls at the counter were also super sweet and friendly. I generally believe that a fresh New York bagel doesn't need to be toasted, but this was the most evenly toasted bagel I've ever eaten. The smoked salmon was delicious and buttery, and everything tasted great. I also tried a bite of my friend's Whitefish Salad Everything Bagel, which I didn't think I would love because it had mustard. But this was also very good and the mustard taste was quite subtle. Would totally return for more!

I am just absolutely obsessed with Apollo Bagels. Their menu is simple, because their sourdough bagels don't need anything else. Also, don't skip their orange juice- fresh squeezed and delicious!

FOOD: We ordered a bag of 3 bagels-- everything, poppy seed & salt. The bagels were cute, medium sized and served warm/hot. We chose the scallion cream cheese which came in a lil container. Apparently the bagels are not made in the traditional manner, but they were still delicious with great texture and taste. We also ordered the tea (ok) and strawberry lemonade (yum). We enjoyed our bagels on the little countertop area outside. OVERALL: Definitely recommend! A different bagel experience than some other places (as in, those places where you are served bagels topped with cream cheese and other things) but we enjoyed the simplicity of the bagels and controlling the amount of cream cheese.
