By the looks of some of the other reviews on this page, Apollo burger may be slightly off of its game as of late. Honestly, I think all businesses are to some extent. I went to Apollo for lunch today and as I sat at my both eating I realized that there is some sort of nostalgia about the place to me. I grew up going there with my family. Yes, the decor or the building have never been fancy, sexy or fashionable, but to me that's alright. My birthday dinner turned out really bad. Onion rings were hard as bricks and burnt as well as the bacon on my tangy blue, and BBQ sauce?? nope none. Granddaughter took an onion ring and threw it against a wall and it shattered. How sad.. We did door dash and it arrived super cold like it just came out of the fridge and had to pay a $4.99 delivery fee for this that we had to throw away. Ended up paying a small fortune for no birthday dinner. I have done apollo for lunch and its amazing. but you failed my dinner on my 60th. $44 in the trash, not to mention door dash fees, wow!!! If you're looking for "fast" food, I would skip this Apollo. I waited in the drive thru for 20 minutes before getting my food. My baby was screaming and I was pretty bugged by the time I got to the window. HOWEVER. When I looked in the window, I saw that there were only 3 employees. That's gotta suck! I felt so bad for them. They're trying their best and I bet they get people mad at them on the daily. They asked for a tip and I gave one because I felt bad for them. Hopefully things get better for them soon. read more

Horrible they used to be good but the service is so bad. Drive through asks for tips which is weird never had that before at any other drive through. The food is still good but they always mess up on your orders now a days and they don't take credit for what they do. The recipe flew and the guy didn't even care. Consistently slow bad service. Eating inside is usually okay, but the drive through is a mess. Invariably you will get home with the order and find out they left part of your order out. Often fries which should be hot and fresh are old and cold. I do not recommend. I have had a bit better luck with the North Temple location, but even there check your order when you get it. I am not sure what has happened with Apollo, but in the last few years service and quality have made a nose dive. On top of that they ask for a tip when you pay. I always add a tip but then it was not earned. The people there are friendly though. Not sure if better managers or training is the answer. read more

Apollo's food quality in Woods Cross/Bountiful has been on the decline over the past year. They have burnt our onion rings three different time now where we have had to go back for replacement. Their fries are under cooked. The portions are smaller while the prices have gone up. I don't know if ownership changed, or if the people working and management there just don't give a shit. read more

The food is good. It has gotten really expensive...I'm talking close to $30 for two meals. But the reason I quit going here is they request a tip IN THE DRIVE THRU. Recently, I complained about there not being a Crown Burger in Bountiful or somewhere within 20 minutes. That friend pointed me to Apollo Burger, stating it was virtually the same. It tries to be, but is not the same quality or flavorful yumminess! It would be like saying I virtually slept vs I slept - there is a difference! First, I went through the drive through and was surprised how long I waited after paying for my food (almost 10 min) for what I would expect to be their most popular item - the Apollo burger. Second, the burger was very juicy but otherwise lacking in flavor. I expected some kind of flavorful sauce or the pastrami to be peppery, but neither were true. I will say the fries were delicious! Overall, an ok option if I am craving the competition and want something virtually similar, but not a replacement or a place to frequent. read more

This place used to be fairly good, never up to the standard of Crown Burger, but consistently decent food. I used to like the beef dip sandwich which apparently they no longer offer. I ordered the fish sandwich which had a breaded fillet that really was marginal in quality. The ice tea dispenser had a hand scribbled sign saying " no ice tea" so I had to get a soda. The fries were the one bright spot to make the meal acceptable. The facilities are becoming a bit run down and due for a facelift. It's time for Apollo Burger to step up their game. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Every single time we go here they claim our food is all in the box. Without fail they forget MULTIPLE items in each order. Last time we got shorted 4 fries that we paid for so we went back. My husband took the receipt and they argued with him, saying he was wrong. We usually enjoy Apollo's food, but the last few times the food has not been good! We've given them additional tries to be sure it wasn't just a bad day the first time. It wasn't a one time thing!! Today the food, specifically a Cheeseburger had a weird taste and texture. The zucchini fries, which we normally love, had a different batter and also tasted weird. None of our food tasted real good. So we have decided, after giving it several tries for them to redeem themselves, and that not happening, we are done with them. In addition to the food not tasting good today, 3 out of the 4 of us that ate the food all broke out in hives, right after eating so we know it was due to the food. read more

Hubby was excited for me to try this place as it is a staple for him when he skis in the Wasatch. Right off we were ignored several minutes by counter staff. Once we ordered, I had a chance to take in the place. It appeared to be a former Wendy's - good on ya Apollo for repurposing, I am all for that. We are frequent customers but tonight might have been our last visit. We usually go there for food quality despite slow service. Tonight we ordered and waited about 35 minutes for food to be delivered to stall #2. I went in to check on our order and they didn't even have ours on the grill yet.... I asked for a refund and am not sure of my status as a customer going fwd. Hopefully things can get fixed as the burgers are great despite being a bit spendy. I could have had a sit down meal for a similar price in the time it took today. We ran down the street to Atlantis. Alright, this is slightly embarassing, but I gotta be honest. APOLLO HAS THE VERY BEST BLT'S EVER!! And they are consistently awesome!! They never skimp on the bacon (which is so yum!) & always cook it right, which no one ever does when I ask for "extra crispy". I can't speak to much else besides the fries & shakes on the menu because these dang BLT's are so flipping delicious, I can't NOT order one when I go. Oh, wait! I advise if you want to eat here, make sure it's to go. They seem to prioritize their drive thru than making it equal with their dine in customers. The food is delicious, the Burgers are really good but the thing that ruins your appetite is when you have bad customer service. When they bring your food out they practically throw it at you. Wow!! Amazing for being fast food!! I had the Hawaiian burger and my husband and had the Blue Burger. I had the sweet potato fries and my husband had the regular fries. Both were wonderful and amazing! The meat was FRESH, the "fixings" were fresh as well. Tried the "Apollo sauce" and that was wonderful too! Service was great and with a smile. Slow. We arrived at 8:15am. The place was empty. One car pulled in to the drive thru just as we drove in, otherwise, no one. It took us almost five minutes before we placed the order because the ONE employee was busy working on the drive thru order. We finally ordered 4 breakfasts and the employee asked if we would mind waiting for him to prepare 20 cheeseburgers for a phone order. How long? 20 minutes. When we protested he decided to work on both orders simultaneously. By now a 2nd employee came from the back to help. 15 minutes later our order was ready and we left. The guy waiting for the 20 cheeseburgers was still waiting. The food was pretty good. Our family of four ordered a breakfast platter, a breakfast bowl, French toast platter and an omelette plate. All for only $26. Maybe the long wait was an anomaly. I don't know. But if you're in a rush, I don't recommend this place. If you have time to wait, the food is good. read more

I like Apollo Burger. I am not saying it's the best but it's alright. I usually come here and order the Junior Cheeseburger combo ($5). I appreciate the fact that they serve a very consistent charbroiled burger at such an inexpensive price. Good luck going to crown burger and paying the same. I would not compare this place to Crown Burger because each has their own take on the Pastrami burger and both are completely different in taste. I recommend that you come here when it's not lunch hour or dinner time to appreciate a decent burger. I lived in the midwest for a while and would crave charbroiled burgers. There were none of these type of burger joints in town. With that in mind - I would take Apollo any day of the week to satisfy my burger fix. read more
