Went here during a big reenactment in town to get away from the crowds. Situated away from downtown is this local hideaway from the typical recommendations. For a cheap beer and some wings Earles is it. Don't come expecting the Ritz its a dive bar type atmosphere and that's the way they like it at Earle's. Nothing fancy and good food,people and drinks. Best to come when you've had a long a and u just need a beverage and some food. You can come other times too Earle's doesn't mind..that is unless you're an @$$hole about it. read more

We decided to stop because every time we travel by, the parking lot is full. Ashley W. was our Server and she was very attentive, courteous, and personable. We felt like we were locals. Talking with people we've never met before. The Earles Supreme Burger you build. I chose Pepper Jack Cheese and Chipotle Mustard. Quality Meat and loaded and so was my date's Italian Sub. Great neighborhood bar, $.80 wings on Tuesdays! Everything is priced cheap in comparison to most places. If smoke smell bothers you then stay out. I grew up in places like this so the nostalgia factor was. 10/10! read more

Great place with great food. Yes this is what appears to be a biker bar but it is a very friendly place. Food here is bar food and very tasty. The only downside and why I gave it three stars is because it is a smoking bar. I really liked this place but the smoke is really heavy for a non smoker. If this place was non-smoking I would hang out all the time. Give it a try if smoking doesn't bother you. read more

Great food,Friendly atmosphere. I had the hot wings. And as always not spicy enough for me. But I really think restaurants don't do good spicy wings anymore because people order them, find out how spicy they are and try to send them back. I'll just start bringing my own wing sauce. No fault of the restaurant it's the patrons fault I can't get spicy wings anymore. I do recommend Earle's to anyone who hasn't been here. I'll be back. read more

My mom and I stopped at Earl's based on the reviews after shopping in Gettysburg. The biker bar vibes were strong as soon as we pulled into the parking lot, but my mom was game. The patrons and staff could not have been nicer! The food was excellent. My only negative is that it was smoky, but it's a bar. I'd absolutely go back. read more

Not a family friendly place. They need to make it better known on their site that because it's a smoking bar families with kids aren't allowed. We drove 20min to find out the hard way. We wanted to try their great seafood selection but couldn't. Can't post star rating but because we were asked to leave ... Please update your 1980 looking site to better communicate so others won't make this mistake. read more

If you are worried about covid don't come here. There are no masks by the staff or customers. There is no social distancing. The night i was there it was wall to wall people. The service was friendly and great on getting drinks and our order. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Prices over all were not that bad. The food quality was really good. My only complaint was i wish my soup was warmer. I had a good visit here. I would definitely come back. This place is good pick if you looking for a drink and good food in a bar atmosphere. read more

Great food, great staff. Yes its a smoking bar. Yes you must be 18+ to enter because its a smoking bar. Most patrons are respectful about those eating. Most patrons are friends or soon to become friends. I've never seen anyone that was made to feel unwelcome. I highly recommend Earl's. read more

I would like to say I was informed about this place from a friend. I yesterday on my drive wanted to try this place out. I enjoyed the clean atmosphere the customer service and the food was amazing! I tried the steamed spicy shrimp "OMG THE BEST" I ever had! I told the bartender that! I will most definitely come back for other foods that look and sound delicious! We visited for the first time early evening on Saturday. The one bartender/waiter was a bit overworked! Food was pretty good, most of the customers were fine - except for a couple that should have been cut off from any more drinks. The gal wasn't loud, but a young guy came in, already drunked up using the f-bomb 3 times in every sentence, loud, obnoxious and was proud of the fact he'd been in jail more than once. He kept getting served, never asked to tone it down or leave. The group of motorcyclists there were angels, the drunks should not continue to be served plus it ruins the atmosphere for others. This is our favorite bar/restaurant in Gettysburg. The food is AMAZING and we have never had anything that we did not love.

Stopped in for a quick beer, turns out its bike night or something, and I was having such a good time so I ended up staying until the wee hours. I ordered their crab cake combo, and honestly was the best I have ever had!! The staff is simply amazing, I recommend this highly to anyone in the area!! read more

Food wise, Earle's is a 10 STAR, but for non-smokers it is a zero. After reading glowing reviews about the food, I fired up my Road King took a spin over for lunch. I've been riding motorcycles to places like this for 50 years, and as far as the food is concerned, there has never been a better place. Testing the waters, I ordered the Cream of Maryland Crab soup, and a BLT. Took awhile, but I'm in no hurry. The Soup was the best I've ever had, and that includes many shi-shi restaurants in Annapolis, and Md. Eastern Shore, Florida, California, Alaska,etc. it was the very best. Hot, loaded with crab meat, served with crisp crackers, and spiced to perfection, just delicious. The BLT came next, and once again, it was the best ever. Absolutely loaded with bacon, loaded, fresh l&t, again, delicious. Bartender/Server was terrific, and the other patrons where friendly and the communal chit chat was cool. No attitudes, no stink eye for a new guy, just friendly folks. I think I may have been the only patron that wasn't related to at least one other person in the place. Very friendly. For me, here are the only downsides. Bike parking is okay, sort of paved in the narrow strip out front, but the rest of the parking lot I don't believe is paved. Minor issue. Smoking. It's a free country, if you want to smoke, it's your business, but eating and breathing 2nd. hand smoke doesn't do it for me. It is a big turn off. I understand that maybe the economics require smoking, but I can't help but think that maybe no smoking might build up equal or greater business. I'll work around the smoking issue to enjoy the food and good cheer. I'm sure outside seating will solve the cloud problem, and the food is worth fighting for. read more

Your food is pretty good and reasonably priced. The unfortunate thing is that you allow smoking in your establishment. I am highly allergic so I will not be back until there is some change to this policy where I can either pick up a carryout or enjoy a meal onsite. read more

If you like bar food and don't mind the typical dive bar this place is great. Great burgers etc... but it is a dive bar.
