Maybe I should've been warned by finding out their website is still under construction. And in Joomla, no less. Bad all the way. I was in the DC area and my Samsung Galaxy SIII glass was cracked months ago. Now I could go on a tirade about Samsung's cheap "Gorilla" glass, but that's not why I'm writing this review. I'm writing about the place that 'fixed' my phone. Living in LA, I had a few options on getting my phone fixed. Places that would replace the glass for $200 or more or go the internet approach on purchasing replacement glass from someone on eBay and then fixing it yourself and hoping for the best. I decided I wanted a pro to do it, but I also didn't want to overspend for it The fact I was in DC with time to spare in a decent mall, and the promise the Galaxy could be corrected in about an hour was certainly appealing. So I spent my 95 bucks and I went ahead and got my glass replaced. The guy who fixed it, Israel, seemed like he knew what he was doing at their mall kiosk (one of several in the mall) and there was a six month warranty in case something went wrong. He warned me that while he usually has had success replacing the glass, he couldn't guarantee that the operation would be successful. I understood that, and I gave him my phone and went shopping. An hour later, it was done and a nice piece of glass was on the case looking great. Or did it???? Took it back and my brother called me. He couldn't hear me at all. I couldn't hear him either, but that was his phone, not mine. No biggie? Wrong. Then I tried to call my girlfriend in LA and I might as well have been talking in a dark closet. It sounded even worse than before and he should have made sure the call quality was good before handing off the phone to me. I explained to Israel that there were already phone issues with the mic and he just told me if that continued with the new glass to simply restore the phone. Definitely a last resort since I would lose all my data, but after realizing the phone quality was getting worse, I had no choice. Restores the phone to its original settings but the quality did not improve. So now I had lost all my data....and I had even weaker call quality. Great! Not just that but the new glass made using the smartphone features much, much worse than before. Swiping through a news site often misinterpreted swipes as clicks so I'd end up on a news article when I just wanted to continue down the list of articles. It made surfing an extremely frustrating experience. So I call their support line (on Vonage.....certainly not my Sprint phone!) and while the woman on the end of the line was sympathetic to my cause, she wasn't the decision maker on issuing me a refund. That was management and they turned it down. So basically I spent $100 with taxes included for a phone that no longer has cracked glass but now has lousy call quality and is impossible to surf or type on the glass. Win! Uh, no. Just a lousy experience and I would highly recommend staying away from any of their five DC/MD locations. Can't trust them. read more

Hmmmm... $140 to replace a cracked iPhone screen then noticed that they had broken the LCD. We took it back and they refused to cover their mistake under their "Gauranty". Said they needed manager approval and the manager was not answering his phone. So we had to pay another $40 to get them to replace the LCD which they had broken. On the plus side they smiled while they took advantage of us since we were on our way out of town. So - be careful here. read more

I can't tell you how grateful I am for this little kiosk. I went to the Apple store in the Annapolis mall with my 3-year old daughter and a baby in a stroller. My screen had come apart from the casing - a "screen separation." I was told to "move your stroller to the side" immediately upon entering by the nasty front of house person. She took a look at my phone, then told me I'd need a new screen and hardware, and to come back tomorrow because they were so busy. I went looking for the CPR place that used to be in the mall, and the Best Buy people told me about the Appcessories kiosk. I walked all the way down there, which took forever with my kids. When I got there, the guy looked at my phone, unscrewed a couple of things, screwed it back in, and then handed it back to me. For free. He was ridiculously nice, said hi to both of my kids, and didn't charge me anything. I hope these guys know how thankful people like myself are. The Apple store has a great product, but when you have crappy customer service and questionable repair service, people are going to turn away. Appcessories for the win! read more

I just tried to get my iPad Air screen fixed by these guys and I agree they are complete crooks and don't know what they are doing! First, there is a sign on top of the kiosk that says ANY iPad screen replaced for $100. The guy tells me my iPad screen will cost $150. I point to his sign and he says that's an old sign, but he'll do it for $120. I should have known then to turn around and find someone else!!! He told me it would take a half hour, one hour later he was still working and seemed to be having trouble. He finally told me he would need more time so I told him I'd return after work (4 hours later). I arrive to pick it up and he is STILL tinkering with it. Finally tells me it's done but I notice it's disabled so i can't check the functionality of the screen. I do notice that when I touch the white border the screen jumps like I'm trying to enter a password. This is definitely not right, so I show the "technician" and he says he knows how to fix it. He keeps me waiting an additional hour and then claims its fixed. The iPad is now disabled for 60 min and I can't really verify its working, but he assures me there is a 30 day warrantee and if anything is not right he can fix it. Fast forward to when I am using my iPad later that evening and the edge is literally coming up on the screen, it's not even adhered properly and I'm still having issues with major screen sensitivity where I cannot control navigating correctly. I take my iPad back- long story short, he cannot fix it, not only cannot fix it but the problem is far worse then before. I can barely swipe to unlock the iPad it is completely unusable in its current state, with a screen that isn't even aligned. I did get a refund after much complaining but I now have a completely non-functioning iPad which will be much more costly to fix then a simple screen replacement. In summary: very very poor customer service and communications, bad warranty, poor workmanship, and very bad quality screen. (reference Bethesda Montgomery Mall location) I brought my iPad to get the screen repaired. Three weeks later had problems and a different technician was there, Evan is what he told me his name was. I waited an hour and came back to find he couldn't fix my problem. "Why didn't you text me, you had my number?" I asked. "I was busy" was his response. I went to the Apple store to learn about a setting inside iOS. So I came to learn it wasn't there fault. What bothered me was that he didn't text me, said he would fix the problem, and he said he would and then he didn't. The problems don't end here. If you are not aware, as part of the screen replacement process, the top of your screen will now have a slight bulge and separation from your ipad case...bet you didn't know that! And I know they won't tell you this. It's the only way they can replace the screen. iPads are not meant to have this service done. (see below). About 5 weeks after the work was completed, the bottom one inch of my screen stopped working entirely. I brought my receipt with me. Same guy, Evan. Told me an hour. Came back to find that he told me the service was guaranteed for only a month, 30 days. Are you kidding me? I said, "You couldn't look at my receipt before I walked away and you said you would have it fixed." "I was busy" - same exact phrase as before. I took my Apple 5C phone (2-1/2 months old) to Appcessories at the CapeCod Mall to repair a port. The phone was working. The technician opened the phone and realized he did not have the part. When he returned the phone it no longer worked. He called his boss and said he had damaged the phone. For the next 2 weeks they kept promising to either fix the phone or give me a new phone. Finally a week later I had to but a new phone. The last time when they handed me my phone the owner said he didn't want to do business with me anymore. I took him to court and he never showed up but he told the court he would pay for the original amount of the phone ($99), but since it wasn't due for renewal it cost $637.50 so I could not accept and continued with the court proceedings. 3 months later I finally got reimbursed (7/2-10/24). read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Saw that their kiosk stated that they repair iPad screens with a sign that they did it for $100. Asked about them doing an iPad Mini screen repair and all of a sudden it was $150. They promised they'd order the part if we paid a down payment (of 1/3 of the total cost) and that they'd call when it came in. Never called despite us calling to inquire. Went back 2 weeks later to try to get an answer from the person at the kiosk. Found out the part had been in for days and that no one had bothered to call us. Was told by the person at the kiosk that they could repair the iPad in about an hour and that we could leave it with them and come back later to pick it up before the mall closed. Got a phone call about 30 to 45 minutes later (as we were on our way back) that they couldn't do the repair because they needed manager approval (a lie, they weren't allowed to do the repair because a "manager" needed to do the repair). They told us they would work on it the next day first thing in the morning and we could come pick it up at that point (bear in mind we're at 3 trips to see them and still have a broken iPad at this point). Got a call the next day from "customer service" (I use the term loosely) that they are having "quality problems with some of the parts" and that they were going to order another screen and it would be repaired in about another week. Went down to get the iPad (since it was still useable even with a cracked screen before dropping it off with them) and was told by the person that it wasn't a part problem but that they had broken the LCD when doing the repair and had to order that part (once again getting the run around and differing information). We mentioned about how upset we were with the service and they "offered" a 10% discount (more on that later) which was insulting at $15 given all we had to do to get it repaired. We were told they couldn't do a better discount because the parts they had to order cost that much (not our fault since they were the ones that broke the screen). Had to leave the iPad with them because they had made it worse than it was when it was first dropped off and was unusable. Came back after finally being contacted that the repair was completed and had more problems. When we went to pay for the item, they informed us that the discount was only the remaining balance (not truly 10%). The person at the kiosk told us all he could do was take the remaining money and give us our iPad back in whatever state it was currently in. We couldn't talk to a manager, we couldn't discuss the fact that they did a shoddy job of repairing the screen (there are places on the screen where the touch sensor doesn't work any more) and the home button is raised above the screen with "sharp edges" on the button. DO NOT USE THEM TO REPAIR YOUR DEVICES. Everyone gives you the run around and won't give you a straight answer. Their recommendation is to talk to someone else at the company for whatever you need, and when you contact that person they point you back to the original person who said to talk to them. Also, despite the "warranty" guarantee they advertize, there is a LOT of fine print that means that they basically don't warranty anything. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I had my iPhone 5s LCD screen fixed for $120.00 and do I regret ever walking up to this place. I was told my purchase came with a 6 moths warranty. My bad experience with this company began when my screen went blank a month after I had it fixed with them so I took it back and the "technician" tried on about 10 different LCD screens before finally giving up and forced to issue me a new screen. 70+ days later the LCD screen gave up this time giving me a very distorted screen to the point where it no longer registered any commands. I took it back and right away the "technician" with out even doing anything to my phone other than feeling it in his hand claimed that I had damaged my phone by dropping it let me tell you he and swore that I had dropped it and it was my fault so he couldn't do anything. I was aghast at the knowledge this so called "technician" has by just feeling phones in his bare hands. I stood my ground and had him open my phone and show me where it was damaged from. He claimed that my phone screen was coming apart and it was my fault for dropping it. Now there was another gentleman with him and I asked who he was after he magically felt my phone and concluded that I had damaged it by dropping it. I turn to the other gentleman who claimed to be the District Manager. now this guy was a joke of a manager because all he could tell me was he had 3 years experience and that phones always damage by people dropping them, sitting on them, setting them down on a desk or table so they couldn't do anything because I had damaged my phone. I argued with him and told him that they were falsely giving out 6 months warranty on the work done and that I would be reporting them to the BBB and he said to go ahead as he had no problem with me doing that since he had 3 years experience fixing phones. At that point I had enough of that clown of a District Manager and walked away furious as I felt I had been ripped off by them. I happen to turn around and he is telling something to the "technician" laughing at me and I happen to catch him. Anyhow, stay away from this place they will take your money and then use their magical powers to turn you away from what you pay for. read more
