    Found a hair
    Erika S.

It was my first time here.. I was enjoying the food until I found a hair on my plate with my biscuit and gravy.. I notified a male staff member he stated okay.. mind you he never apologized or anything and walked away. I then told the waitress she picked up the plate and I was like oh I see it then took the plate and walked away. Again she didn't apologize neither. When I went up to pay no one apologized or nothing either. Overall bad experience I will not be returning..

Whitlee is still Amazing! The service and food are top notch! I had The Mary's Mess which is not on the menu. OMG the Mary's Mess is out of this world delicious! My wife and father in law had the BLT Sandwich and Corn Chowder Soup. My mother in law had a ham and cheddar sandwich with corn chowder soup. We all had ice water and I had strawberry lemonade. My father in law had ice tea. Everyone loved the atmosphere, service and most of all the food. This is my favorite breakfast place in the valley!

We love coming to this place food is always great and service normally is great too but unfortunately tonight service was very sad it seemed as if we were getting avoided not sure why, sat for 10+ mins without a refill unfortunately they didn't seem to busy we had to ask another staff member to even get our check after waiting longer and somehow after asking for our check a table that came in after us was given their check before us. Not sure what was going on tonight but I hope it improves!

I'm an Uber driver based in Visalia but I've been all over Tulare county. I've driven by Apple Annie's lots of times and thought "I gotta try that place". Today was the day! (finally). My wife and I were in Tulare to pick up a piece of furniture she bought on marketplace and she decided we should get a bite to eat in Tulare before heading back to Visalia. I've got just the place! We were greeted and seated promptly in the cozy dining area. It has an old school diner vibe that I enjoy. The menu had all the American diner favorites and an assortment of house specialties. The wife had a BLT with fries and I had the Monster Burger with fries. The burger features bacon, cheese, a whole half of avocado and an onion ring as well as fresh lettuce, tomato and a dill pickle slice. The food was delicious and priced very reasonably. The wait staff were all friendly and there seemed to be many regular customers which is always a good sign. I'm looking forward to returning for breakfast and a slice of the house made apple pie !

Won't be the first or the last time as a minority treated with racism at a restaurant. Everyone dining in today 06/28/25 was the same color as my MIL, the server skinny white chic kept checking on all the tables around us but skipping us every single time. She would not make eye contact or check in on us. Food was okay and I probably would have come back again, the owners look Mexican which look like nice people as I saw them interact with several customers, but their employee totally ignored us our whole time dining in. There was also another girl waiting on us, she looked Hispanic w black hair and she went MIA after she brought our food to us. The restaurant looks like an old school diner, my MIL had mentioned she visited frequently in the 70s. We lived in Tulare county for a while and would visit Tulare/Visalia area a lot but never visited Apple Annie's. This was my first and last time coming. 90% of the time I would rather eat at home, but if we're in the mood we like to check out places we haven't visited. Today was super unfortunate and I haven't felt this kind of racism in a long time, but I do know it's not the last time either, I almost brought my 81yr old mom with us too, I'm glad she didn't come. If you have never visited, you're not missing out, just go to IHOP or Denny's. I would not recommend this restaurant to any minority. Even my husband who is half white felt it and my son who's 1/4 white also felt it.

Love me a classic American breakfast. Their apple cake? was so good. I smothered it with butter too. Staff was nice and friendly. A fun little family vibe that you can find near the freeway.

Wow! wow! wow! This place is so amazing throughout from the moment you walk in. The workers were all amazing and friendly and smiling well they were working which only means management is doing something right. Now the food was absolutely amazing nothing was disappointing everything was welled seasoned and cooked perfectly. This will definitely become a new regular for me.

Apple Annie's is one of our go to places when we're traveling. They serve comfort food, traditional dinner items, and a little variety of Mexican food. There's always someone friendly and warm to greet you and to take your order. We haven't had a bad meal in all the times we've stopped there over the years. This day we ordered the French burger, one of the daily specials, to the eye, it seemed kinda small probably because it was cut in half. The patty was cooked just right the only thing was it kept sliding out of the bread. The decor is definitely a collectors and kids paradise with so many fun things to look at. You definitely want to leave room for a piece of pie or take a slice to go. The place can be a little chilly so be sure to cover up a bit if you tend to be cold.

I've promised myself to stop here for years and I finally did on a trip to Visalia. The decor is severely dated and the chairs are almost all wobbly and cracked but the food is amazing. All three of us ordered burgers and they were juicy and perfectly cooked. The onion rings were pretty good. I wasn't blown away but they were crunchy and fresh. We ordered desert and everyone really enjoyed it. Mom got a lemon merengue pie, dad got a slice of apple pie with ice cream and my best friend and I split the apple pie burrito. My only critique on the burrito is that it wasn't fried long enough to really be crispy. The filling was superb but the tortilla was very tough and hard to cut. Over all I really enjoyed my meal here and I will be back! Also, our waitress was a peach! She was attentive and so nice!

We had the prime rib special with all the fixings! It was cooked to perfection and well worth the 22.00 price tag! Laurie was our server and she took excellent care of us. Yes, the booths were a little worn but that wasn't a big deal. Would recommend trying this place out when in the area!

My 5 rating is for what this is - an old fashioned family restaurant. If you're looking for an upscale experience, go somewhere else, but this is homestyle food like you used to get. The menu has a fair amount of variety, from breakfast to dinner. I had the grilled chicken taco salad. It was very good, but be forewarned if that's something you might be interested in - there are three different items on the menu that are all similar, and both we and our server all had a little confusion. This is Tulare's long-standing home for comfort food.

Big selection of breakfast option plus a lunch/dinner menu and dessert!! The omelets come with choice of a large homemade muffin or other bread option and potatoes or fruit. And giving homage to their namesake, plenty of homemade apple desserts on the menu too!! Reminds me of a country homestyle restaurant with a train that circles the ceiling. They also have a pretty patio for outside dining. The service was phenomenal!! And the kids were all smiles with the mini arcade.

Nice table and chairs with linen napkins. A small play area for kids (!) in the part of the restaurant that looks like it serves fresh made pasties and coffees. All fresh ingredients are used along with local food sourced by the community, she used the example of the fresh local pecans and walnuts used in the salads. Fresh french butter and cheeses. We had a Kir Royale to add to our beautiful lunch. I felt like I was back in France for lunch! We had a beautiful grilled salmon salad, the traditional french sandwich- Le Parisien, a Parisien omelet , also with a side of french fries and the well known Lyonnaise potatoes. We were all very pleased and happy with our meals. Each server was very helpful and kind . We brought home fresh croissants and the chocolate filled croissant. So delicious. We will return for crepes and many more items we were not able to try. It's worth the drive to Tulare. Only open until 2:00 PM. They do have a special dinner that you need to book in advance and it sells out, this is done about once a month.

We started by sharing the wedge salad. I am a blue cheese girl, and this blue cheese was BLUE CHEESE. Rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I could have happily made a meal out of that alone. We also ordered the calamari, which came with two dipping sauces. One was a sweet and sour-style nuoc cham sauce that was incredible. The other was a fresh, flavorful tartar sauce. The calamari itself was prepared perfectly--light, crispy, not oily at all, and cooked just right. For dinner, I had the pistachio-crusted salmon over vegetable quinoa. The salmon was excellent. The quinoa was good, but probably just not my personal style. My husband ordered the pork chop with polenta, and wow--both were fantastic. That polenta was especially memorable.
