I have tried many different menu items here over the years. This is a great place for the usual American fare that you find in any cafe. The service can range from stellar to frustrating depending on the day and time you visit. Most of the time it's great but there have been a couple times where it's slow. My son and I enjoy searching for little spots like this, and it was wonderful! The service was great everyone was super nice and attentive! But the food was great and especially the price! $17 for 1 pancake, French toast, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, ham and hash browns! I asked for extra crispy hash browns and they delivered I asked for a substitution of one pancake for a French toast and they accommodated because I never know what I want lol. My son got the eggs Benedict and I couldn't even get a picture before he was devouring them! His eggs perfectly poached with a runny creamy yolk! The sauce was so delicious, I will definitely get those next time I come into this town. For 2 of us it was $41+tip. This place never disappoints me. Delicious food at a reasonable price. The service was great, no waiting on a Friday morning for breakfast. The ambiance was quiet even though it's an open place where you can see all the tables. They do have an enclosed banquet room which can be reserved for a meeting/large gathering. I have going to Jenny Lynn's since the new owner opened it. The food has always been on point and plated nicely. The servers have always been super nice and check in frequently to see if you need anything. It is one of my go to places here in town. The owner Jose comes out in the dining room to welcome customers in and see if they are happy with their meal. The ambiance is light and sunny which makes your dining experience pleasant. I am speechless !!! Beyond my taste buds of an experience, the chicken penne pasta salad is one of the best salads I ever had! I couldn't get a picture of the delicious desserts I had but I had a slice of carrot cake as well as the orange cream cake and let me just say WOW!!!! What the heck!!! My sister has been talking about this restaurant since I moved back to Tulare County from San Diego. I love diners and when my friend from Bakersfield wanted to treat me to lunch last week, I suggested Jenny Lynn's. We were the only ones there (which should change big time after reading this review). I used to BBQ some rib eye steaks before I retired five years ago. Medium Rare. Perfectly cooked. My sister came over and cooked a rib eye last month that she bought but I should have known better as she likes her steak Medium to Medium Well. Overcooked it and I was internally disappointed. Jenny Lynn's was to be the best choice I made. I ordered a rib eye steak MEDIUM RARE, MEDIUM RARE. Said it two or three times to make sure. Found out that Jose the chef likes his steak Medium Rare. Promising. (I'll get to the humongous side portions in a minute). I kept getting asked for my choice of side portions that came with my steak and even turned down a couple so I could enjoy my steak. As the dish landed on my table in front of me, I could instantly tell that my steak was cooked perfectly. I was ecstatic. I took a bite and it melted in my mouth. There is a God. Let me explain the enormous amount of side dishes. Firstly, the salad in and of itself was large and so delicious. So fresh. The ranch dressing was fantastic and I got a side of bacon green beans yum and the toasted bread was great. I am using run-on sentences since my experience was like being home 50 years ago and mom and dad are BBQing all kinds of meat outside. My friend ordered the patty melt and sweet potato fries. I couldn't believe she ate everything. She's a tiny thing and I've never seen her clean her plate. I won't have to have another overcooked steak again!!! Life is great. Take your non-vegetarian friend (JK) for a terrific steak dinner. I could have also had mashed potatoes, fries, and so many other sides she mentioned but I was centering all my attention on my steak. I even had leftovers that were just as delicious! On the way out I spotted delicious pies and desserts in a glass covered tray handled by Veronica if I'm not mistaken. Next time I'll try to leave room for dessert. Head on over to Jenny Lynn's soon to have some of the best home cooked meals ever. I'll try a cheeseburger next time. You won't be disappointed and prices are fair and your portion sizes are huge. read more

When in Porterville give this place a try. Service and restaurant was clean and inviting. Our server was very helpful and provided suggestions. They were also accomodating with our service dog (we did call ahead of time to confirm policy). Good portions and food was served hot! Glasses were never empty. The atmosphere was horrible when first walking in. An older lady took our order and was very impatient. When ordering our meal we were snapped at and rushed. They seem to be picking on and saying hostile comments towards her. When I asked to speak to the owner to let her know about the service she shrugged it off and said we're stressed. First visit.. Yikes! Thw older woman is rude. We placed our order, and my husband asked for sausage and received bacon. He let the nice waitress know. She comes back with a plate and apologizes, but the chef wants the bacon back. She told him he could use his fingers to put it on the plate. Why would he want that back?
