Overall was underwhelmed. Good space and set up, greeted and seated quickly on a Saturday at brunch time (although it was just the wife and I with a reservation). They had a special event with the "Grinch" walking around, interacting and posing with guests which was well received for this holiday season. My wife had the croquet madam - this was a large and heavy but delightful breakfast sandwich with a mass amount of pan-crisped Gruyère cheese! It came with an abundance of shoestring French fries and red beet ketchup. Note to self, the cheese is a fantastic pairing with the French fries! She chose to drink an espresso martini was as as good as any, but oddly served in a wine glass (rather than a martini glass). I had the corned lamb shank hash - this meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly! Unfortunately it felt as though they forgot to season the rest of the hash entirely. This was especially surprising since the description included a horseradish sauce which is often quite potent. At least I had a lovely sparkling wine with grapefruit and lemon Bellini to wash it down! This dish also came with an abundance of fries and the red beet ketchup. My wife did not prefer this condiment but I enjoyed it since it allowed for incorporation of beets without the overpowering earthy flavor that it normally carries (and a more pink color for the fry-dipping). For dessert the wife and I shared a skillet chocolate chip cookie with scoop of malted milk cookie dough ice cream with chocolate drizzle. This was enjoyable and the ice cream had particularly nice sized dough chunks, but was no comparison to a pazookie (found at any BJs Brewhouse). Our server was very nice but incredibly awkward. He definitely made an effort but could tell his significant lack in people skills. Would consider returning to try again but perhaps with less adventurous expectations. read more

Food is wonderful. Apple Blossom is owned by one of my favorite restaurant teams in Denver (other concepts include the Coperta and the now-closed fan favorite, Beast + Bottle). However, it's located in a hotel (Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver), and you can feel that. From the decor to the cafeteria-sounding music that played throughout our meal, this place unfortunately screams "hotel restaurant". The table, chairs, and color scheme don't help. While the other restaurant concepts by this team have been cozy and romantic, perfect for date night, I wouldn't consider Apple Blossom a great date night spot. Apple Blossom's Sunday drag bingo brunch is a must! It's so much fun and the food is great! I went with. A group of girlfriends for bottomless mimosas and a good time, didn't disappoint! I ordered avocado toast which was really yummy. Plenty of avocado, fried potatoes were HUGE! I don't usually like mimosas but theirs were fantastic, better champagne choices than other places and the juice tasted fresh squeezed. Highly recommend, the staff is friendly, and I can't wait to go back! read more

We tried this place on a whim and it turned out to be great! The staff was very friendly and gave us some great recommendations. We ended up doing a couple small plates and then split some larger ones amongst the table. The highlight for me was the skate. It's something that I haven't had before, so it was a great to try something new that tasted great. We had the pleasure of dining at Apple Blossom for dinner during our stay at the Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver. We arrived at Apple Blossom and were seated in the main dining room. Apple Blossom encompasses "The Best of America's Seasons" - they have a strong focus on the agricultural offerings of local and regional ranchers, farmers, & purveyors. The aesthetic of Apple Blossom is light & airy and we really got that farm-to-table feel from the décor; specifically from the enchanting wall mural depicting vibrant fruits, flowers, birds & butterflies. This mural was painted by Apple Blossom's pastry chef - talk about talent! The staff at Apple Blossom were spot on with service - Service Manager, Jeremiah and Server, Toni were inviting & warm. Both ensured our meal ran smoothly and had great recommendations on what to order. We started off our dinner with shots of the Apple Blossom cocktail. The Apple Blossom is made with Laird's Apple Brandy, lemon, & apple cider. The Apple Blossom cocktail had good tang from the lemon juice & a sweetness from the apple cider. The smooth apple brandy mellowed the acidity of the lemon and cider out the palate. Next I had the Gin + Tonic. The Gin + Tonic is made with purple gin, fancy tonic, & aromatics. The Gin + Tonic was served in a wine glass which really enhanced the cocktail's aromatics. The bittersweet taste of the tonic water was a good counterpoint to the piney smell of juniper. For appetizers we had the Bay Scallops and the Housemade Spam. The Bay Scallops are made with sweet pea, ham, bell pepper, & tarragon. The Bay Scallops were delicately sweet and buttery with a tender texture. The sweat peas complimented the scallops and added a snap of springtime to this app. The Housemade Spam is made with pan fried rice cake, rhubarb amba, nori, & smoked pork tare. We ordered this appetizer per Jeremiah's recommendation and we're so glad we did. This is something we never would have ordered unprompted - Apple Blossom's staff knows best! The Housemade Spam had a savory, Polynesian inspired taste (spam is very popular in Hawaii) - the glazed spam slices went perfectly with the warm, sticky rice cake. The spam had a great salty & teriyaki taste to it. For entrees we had the Potato Gnocchi and the Olive Oil Poached California Halibut. The Potato Gnocchi is made with Florida white shrimp, wild sorrel, crème fraiche, & caviar. The Potato Gnocchi was incredible and became my favorite of the meal. The gnocchi were soft little pillows coated in a creamy sauce. The Florida white shrimp were mild in flavor with notes of natural sweetness. The chewy texture of the shrimp went really well with the pillow-y texture of the gnocchi. The crème fraiche and caviar certainly took this gnocchi up a notch in decadence - SO GOOD. The Olive Oil Poached California Halibut is made with king trumpet mushroom, mushroom cream, pickled mustard seed, & green chickpeas. This halibut was perfectly cooked - light & subtly rich with a silky, buttery texture from the olive oil. With the entrees I enjoyed a Riesling from Forge Cellars per Jeremiah's recommendation. This was an old world style Riesling - very dry with nice acidity and it paired beautifully with the gnocchi and halibut. We had the Roasted Spring Radishes as our side of vegetables. The Roasted Spring Radishes are made with heirloom farina, tatsoi, white truffle butter, & pink peppercorn. The fresh Roasted Spring Radishes were gorgeous in color - a welcoming sign of spring. The radishes were pleasantly mild in bitterness and had a flavor comparable to turnips. They had a crisp and crunchy texture. As a pick me up before dessert, Ross had an espresso and I had an Espresso Martini. For dessert we had the Skillet Cookie, the Thai Tea Panna Cotta & the Lemon Meringue Pie. The Skillet Cookie is made with a salted chocolate chip cookie, your choice of ice cream (we chose cookie dough), chocolate sauce & is *baked to order*. Holy moly, this skillet cookie was sinfully delicious. The soft and chewy cookie had an ooey-gooey brownie-like consistency. The temperature variation from the warm cookie to the cold cookie dough ice cream was everything. The Thai Tea Panna Cotta is made with pistachio shortbread, & butterscotch whip. The Thai Tea Panna Cotta was a lovely shade of orange. It had a silky texture and a vanilla, sweet taste. We enjoyed each smooth bite - shout out to Toni for such a great recommendation. The Lemon Meringue Pie's filling was smooth and creamy and the meringue was billowing and irresistible. The pie had a nice balance of lemon and sweet. read more

Came here for brunch and had a very pleasant experience. We decided to sit in the bar area to give us ample light for taking foodie photos. What I liked about dining in the bar was that the chairs were comfortable and the tables were higher so it was not difficult or awkward trying to eat our food in a "lounge" type setting. I really appreciated that. Service was a touch slower however again we were in the bar area and the bartender had a full bar of people to attend to as well so no qualms with that. I started with a lavender lemonade as I am not currently drinking and though it wasn't pretty and purple like I was hoping it was quite good. They did a salt? rim which I thought was a brilliant idea as it added a nice salty touch to the lemonade and it made me feel like I was actually drinking a cocktail! We got poutine to start and I was quite a fan of the thinner shoestring fries, as that is a personal preference for me when it comes to fries, and I like that it added more of a crisp factor than some thicker fries can be more Of a mushy potato. Big fan of that. The dish was incredibly rich and flavorful which I loved and had no problem with, especially because that fresh green onion added a nice burst of flavor to cut the rich fat content. I thought it was perfect. Though definitely a dish for sharing as we eat only had a few bites. We all ordered different entrees and ended up sharing which was nice and gave us a taste of many things on the menu. I went Colorado Breakfast Burrito which I very much enjoyed. I personally could have had a touch more spice in the green Chile, but alas you know me; I am a spice fiend. I loved the salty, smoky flavor the bacon brought to the dish, and you can tell they use high quality meats and ingredients. One gal ordered the croque madam which I was eying but felt it might be a tad heavy for brunch, but damn am I glad she ordered it. The ham they used was salty and smokey and reminded me of a Spanish Jamón and was so flavorful with the cheese and crusty bread. This really brought me to flavor heaven and I have to say might have been a favorite bite for me from the whole meal. There was also a beer cheese on there, but ham is what really stole the show for me. The other gal ordered the shrimp roll which was good, it was fresh and flavorful, but me personally I'm not the biggest seafood roll person so I'm thinking that's why this did not stand out to me. I will note the everything roll it was served on, I thought that was a unique addition, and I will mention again the freshness. It was nice to have a bite of this in between decadent bites such as the other items ordered. I also need to make a notable mention of the side salads that came with the roll and croque. Both were mixed greens with a white balsamic and I have to say, quite possibly the best dressing I've ever had. Tart, yet light I am buying white balsamic immediately to have in my house because it was amazing. Another nice touch. All in all I though Apple Blossom was an adorable space with incredibly good food. I also believe as they try to order from local vendors and eat through the seasons, this must mean their menu is ever changing to include seasonal items. Which I love. Staying at the hotel here and decided to try the breakfast here. We both had the omelet, and we both took one bite and had to literally spit it out. The egg on the inside of the omelet was still liquid, and coated all of the mushrooms and stuff inside. We didn't have time to send it back, so I just paid $18 for an omelet I couldn't eat. Then We ordered a side of bacon for $8 and got the picture below. It looked freeze dried or something. My husband and I ate at Apple Blossom three days in a row during our stay at the Hyatt Centric. I was expecting boring "hotel" food, which this was NOT. I was greeted by one of the managers, Kaylin. He very proudly told me about his favorite breakfast item, the Colorado Style Breakfast Burrito. He went on to explain why Denver green chilis are the best. I followed his advice and it did not disappoint. My only complaint was that the burrito was too big! Delicious and stuffed with fresh ingredients. Our server, Alex, was equally delightful and attentive. I am confused why this place wasn't packed. There's some unusual treats too. For instance, they have beet ketchup that was fantastic. We came here for brunch with friends on a weekend, and I was satisfied, but not blown away. Good standard brunch fare, but a bit stuffy & overpriced in my opinion. It's in the central business district of downtown, which I think unfortunately lends a place to being stuffy to begin with, so I don't think we cuold say this is Apple Blossom's fault. They do a good job of lightening the atmosphere as much as possible, I just wish there were more booths or things that helped it feel like a cozier place you would want to stay & hang out in. The food was just fine, and nothing that struck me as super innovative/creative. All in all, we were full & satisfied after brunch, but not sure I'd make the effort to come back. read more

Me and two friends made an appearance at this restaurant on June 14th (2024) and it was a very enjoyable experience. We were vacationing in Denver and this placed looked welcoming, I had no idea that it was a hotel restaurant. The space was lovely - well-lit, plenty of seating, there were an appropriate amount of TVs, and the decor was modernized. The prices were a bit high but thankfully we went during happy hour and got to enjoy ourselves on a modest budget. Our server was a quick-talking, seasoned black woman who knew almost everything you could ask. She took our orders without pen or paper, offered advice on the menu and even gave us local recommendations. We ordered Umami-flavored Cauliflower wings, hot wings (Umami and spicy pineapple), and jalepeño poppers. The Umami flavor was incredible - a great source of spice, heat and flavor - we had it on the cauliflower and the wings. The Jalepeño poppers were spicier than expected but still great! I ordered a Moscow mule while my friend ordered a pear martini. All wonderful drinks. We then escaped to the rooftop bar. We were welcomed by two great hosts and there were plenty of seats to choose from. We all ordered our drinks again to enjoy the ambiance of the rooftop. We also ordered the cheesecake which, honestly, was a but underwhelming. It was a twist on a blueberry cheesecake but it wasn't as satisfying as it could have been. The crust wasn't as stiff as I'd like and the filling was doing everything but it's job. But, we still loved the experience and would return if we were in the area. read more

I've been traveling a lot for work. Let me just say that this restaurant and service tops a lot of destinations. Hands down delicious food! Bar service so friendly, and they remember what you've ordered before. Do not skip on the oysters and the duck leg sandwich! Hamburger is a perfect size and doesn't skip on anything! Once again visited with friends (they picked the restaurant) and just overall not impressed. Menu is small, dishes are small, prices are high. My pasta dish was not very good, really strange combination of ingredients, like they were trying too hard to be unique but it didn't really work. They had run out of espresso so couldn't make the espresso martini, other cocktails were batch made and some had run out. Seriously lacking meal and poor service for an added 23% gratuity. We have food allergy and a lactose intolerant family member and the staff made sure to help select foods that would work, and even made suggestions like steamed oat milk with chocolate instead of hot chocolate for the lactose intolerant little one. The most disappointing part of the meal was that there is no warning and when they brought my bill and added a $21 tip already!!! If they want me to pay the cook staff and their service staff for them AND pay for the food,really? They should have told us before we ordered!! My bill was $89 and inside that was a $13 glass of wine. Is tip to include alcohol? I don't know and I would have actually tipped more but that was frustrating so no way was I leaving anything else. I was upset! She gave a pen that did not work and didn't come around enough to get one that did! Only 2 bathrooms that were coed and there was a line and they were gross! Couldn't get tissue off the roll to wipe a tear from my eye for having to use that bathroom The food was not too good. The fried oysters did not taste good. The pork was too salty and raw yet it was tender. I can't drink enough water. The the dessert was tiny and cold and not very tasty. The gnocchi was $20 for a very very small portion. The only thing that was great was the service staff and really nice presentation of the food and atmosphere is wonderful although it took her quite a while to take our order. I really just wanted to get out of there I would not go back. $117 later for 2 people to eat dinner. I feel bad for leaving a bad review yet that $21 service fee really upset me! Terrible service came downstairs to get a drink we a vouchers for free drinks but there was only one employee working and she was less than nice. It's my wife's 40th birthday and we were trying to celebrate but she saw the vouchers when we asked about house drinks and blew us off. We planed on ordering more than one drink maybe even closing it down but instead we just ordered cappuccinos. She made the point to tell another employee she didn't want to make anymore free coffees. We were misinformed about one of the specials (told it was salmon burger but it was swordfish) to start-which one of us ordered. Then they forgot to bring one of the entrees out and was told that they can bring a box for it in case it doesn't come in time..excuse me? Why aren't you rushing to make it? So she can eat with us? The food itself was great, but that couldn't overcome the service experience. What's worse, they told us they would comp the entree on the bill, but when we received the bill, they charged an automatic 26% tip and they charged on the original bill which included the entree they comped.
