Go to this store during early morning (after 9 a.m.) because it gets crowded during the lunch time and later. Employees are relatively nice and helpful. The Genius Bar has several good professionals. My only complaint about the GB is the guy named Michael or Mike. I've been observing him since last winter and I noticed his condescending manner towards young people like college students and girls. He's a skilled technician but he lacks etiquette and exhibits crude behaviour. And I wish he'd refrain from tapping on my shoulder or arm without my consent. It's considered culturally rude in several countries especially in Russia, Germany, Japan and the UK. Made an appointment a week ago because the screen on my iphone was showing zig zag lines for a couple of hours. Brought in my phone today to make sure things are ok. the service guy ran some tests told me he couldn't find anything wrong but since I got the phone 4 months ago the screen is under warranty so I can have this fixed. Came back an hour later to pick up my phone, told me they can't fix it because water damage was found. When I turned the phone on, all its been doing is flashing an apple sign. the technician who gave me back the phone couldn't give me an explanation. He looked pretty surprised as well. But told me I can pay 300 dollars for a replacement. I was furious. I brought in a WORKING phone. Now it doesn't even turn on !!! Called the lady manager who gave me a bad attitude and didn't care to help. Poor product with bad service. Not a good combo for Apple. read more

Best Apple Store I have been to yet. The Victoria Gardens store installed the replacement screen on my very expensive MacBook Pro with Retina Display crooked. Instead of dealing with them again, I decided to go to Brea. Turns out I made my appointment for the next day, but they were able to squeeze me in after their meeting. I was literally in and out of the store in less then 15 minutes with my MacBook completely fixed. And that is with being squeezed in! I have NEVER gotten that fast of service at ANY Apple Store, EVER. Way to go Brea Apple Store! A similar story with my iPhone. After 2 replacements at Apple VG, I went to the Temecula store, but they were out of my model of iPhone. I called Apple and they reserved me a phone at Brea. I walked in, and got the replacement device in my hands within 5 minutes. I also lost the silicone tip to my In-Ear Headphones, so they went ahead and replaced them with the newer model, even without a receipt! I will only come to Brea for support from now on. read more

Brought my iphone6 into the store as it wasn't turning on. Before they even looked at it, they told me its old and should be upgraded. Then they proceeded to diagnose it, and said it can't be fixed. I took the phone to a a repair store in Pasadena, and they just opened it and found slight corrosion. They cleaned it and the phone turned right away... And it was free. Don't trust the Apple Store. Throughout the tour of the store which was neatly organized and their shelves were appropriately stocked, Lisa was thoroughly demonstrating the several options and all their unique features that their products come with. I was amazed on how far technology has evolved, becoming a smooth and efficient way to sow and reap more productively. Apple Brea Mall - Rechargeable External Battery. A "must" have for my iPhone. - Mobile Phones Near Me - Brea, California

absolutely unbelievable. I called Apple support about a $50 iPhone silicone case that fell apart after four months. I sent them photos, and they made an appointment for me at the Apple Genius Bar in Brea to walk in an exchange the case. The store manager Michael refused to exchange the case and even accused me of" picking at it" and destroying the case myself. I explained to him numerous times that I'd already spoken with Apple support and they were willing to make an exchange for me to simply come to the store. Michael refused- unbelievable. in my opinion he is poor manager and should be retrained in customer service immediately. I don't believe Michael is the kind of person that Apple should have representing their product. I believe he has failed miserably at his job. Is this really the best you can do Apple? A store manager who refuses to communicate with Apple Support? Finally Apple Support apologized profusely and mailed me a new case. Whole issue could have easily been easily avoided. and it's a shame, because in the past I've received excellent service at this location. read more

I tell you what - I am pretty impressed with the Apple Store. I never wanted to go in here because it is always crazy-packed. But when my husband and I decided to replace our 10-year-old PC with a Mac, we sucked it up and stepped in. Immediately we were greeted and set up with a sales person. It was then that I realized that almost half the people in the store are actually Apple store staff. So, that was pretty cool - we were able to be helped right away. And the guy who helped us was very knowledgeable and helped us out a lot. Sold. We got the one-to-one package so that we can go for free training for a year. What a great deal! I love just making an appointment online, showing up, and getting my own little one hour training session. I have been to two trainings so far. One guy was pretty great and the other guy was pretty mediocre. But that's okay - I can do this for a year. So overall, I am pretty happy with the service I get here. They do a great job and seem to really value their customers. read more

I rolled in on a Friday afternoon expecting the apple store to be not so busy but it wasn't. The store is well staffed, friendly and I had no problems getting the help I needed as soon as I walked in the door. My purpose was to exchange the headphones for an iPod shuffle under Apple's quality control program. Although, Apple recommends an appointment with the genius bar, I skipped that step but received assistance within 30 minutes. Anyway, the iPod's were outside the replacement programs purchase date but Apple staff honor the replacement headphones anyway. They really didn't have to. They hooked me up with the new style Apple earbuds and they sound amazingly better than the previous generation. I'm impressed with the service and really stoked on the quality of the new earbuds. While I still have my POS PC laptop, nothing can come close to my Macbook Pro. This store was no exception to the general experience that I have had with Mac Stores all over the world. Best service outside of the USA still rest in Japan though. This location was clean, orderly, fully staffed (in this economy that says something) and just A+ overall. I like this mall too. Not packed with weird people and also plenty of PAW to browse through. Quick and Easy transaction! I came in to see if they had an iPad 2 available, the customer rep checked and had a few choices available. She discussed my needs and helped me to decide which one I should get. At the end, I walked away with something that fits me well. I also came here 2 years ago when I had an issue with my 3gs iphone, and I had an issue with the white iphone cracking and I wanted to replace it with the black one. Since I only had the phone for 2 weeks they escalated the issue to the store manager and somehow they were able to go ahead and do the swap considering how unhappy I was. Its nice to know that they are willing to bend the rules when it comes to customer service. I hope this store keeps it up because Apple stores like South Coast are JERKS!!! Can't even be CHANGED on the same day by computer OR on the phone * The staff is younger that our oldest MAC computer My daughter dropped her iPad the day before our trip, so we made an online reservation at the Genius Bar for the night of our arrival in Anaheim. We arrived earlier than anticipated, and after a 20 minute wait on the phone, were told we should not cancel our reservation (I just wanted to come in earlier). We took the kids swimming to kill time, then still arrived at our appointment 30 minutes early. The personnel did sign us in, and retrieve us from the Apple TV when it was our turn. Young lad accessed the situation quickly - yes, shattered screen confirmed. We paid half price for a new iPad, and bought the Apple Care for $50 (good for 2 years from original purchase date of shattered iPad) which will allow future shattered iPads to be replaced for $50 instead of $200. Left store prior to our scheduled appointment. All is good. read more

I always find myself in this store for a reason other than my own free will. From trying to find out what is wrong with my $2,000 macbook pro that shutdown abruptly, to a defective power button on the same macbookpro, to an Iphone 4s with defective speakers/sound, to an Iphone 5s that constantly loses battery power, to getting lured into buying a new macbook pro because my other one is obsolete and supposedly I can get at least $500 for it on the market (which would help pay for the new macbook), this is why I have grown accustomed to not trust Apple nor its employees at the Brea location. On the upside, these experiences have helped me develop into a more knowledgeable computer and cell phone device user and a more weary and calculated electronics consumer. As part of these experiences, I have found out that the Apple Technician's working at the Genius Bar are not in fact geniuses. I found this out the first time I brought my laptop in for repairs and the only advice I was given is that I should pay Apple to send it into a technician to figure out what is wrong. I was given no effective diagnosis of the problem with the macbook. Also, Apple was late getting my macbook back to me. Furthermore, when I went to the store to pick up my macbook I had to wait 1 hour for an Apple technician to bring my laptop over to me and read two sentences about what they did to my laptop. I have had one good experience going into Apple because the technician actually seemed like she knew what she was talking about. The other six times that i brought my device/s in for service have been a waste. One thing I learned about Apple from being an IPhone and macbook user for the past 5 years is that the value of the product and service looks a lot better than what you actually get. read more

i visited the apple store to trade in and get the iphone 11. i was told i could not trade in my google pixel 3a in the store (it looks like you can only do it online which means i have to ship it for trade in). overall, 2/3 employees i had to talk to were really nice and helpful. the person helping me tried really hard to help me with anything i might need even if i didn't ask which i really appreciate. I love Apple and I love their products but this is my first experience with bad customer service. I went in on a weekday with an appointment to get one of our work laptops fixed since all of a sudden the disk memory wasn't working after erasing the computer ( I've never had one issue with the computer up until this point) after sitting for 2 hours to try to get help and the Apple associate bouncing back and forth between 2 customers making me wait when I had an appointment.. long story short after 2 hours of trying to upload the software the computer needed to be repaired... after a few days I get a call saying that, that repair is done and it would be best to replace the whole bottom of the computer for a flare rate and be additional money and time ... cool done. Today I get a call that my repair is ready and I call to have my dad pick it up after being on hold for 10 minutes and 4 people later I was told that I had to add a person at the time of my repair or I would have to go in physically to add him???.. which is stupid because I might as well pick it up myself and would have no need to call about adding someone. I know they're busy, but do your job and communicate I'm paying $500 for a repair on a computer I spent $1400 on the least they can do is not act like I'm stealing it by adding someone to pick up read more

Although they couldn't personally help me with the problem, they told me exactly what to ask for when I called At&t. Remember when Apple got sued for purposefully making the phone batteries give out just in time to purchase the latest iPhone model?? I have a feeling that they are doing the same thing with their new phones, making them last long just long enough to outlive the warranty, but give out by the time the iPhone 12 comes out. That's been my experience with the iPhone X. I am livid, as the iPhone was purchased 4/29/2018 and is no longer working as of 4/3/2021!! NOT EVEN THREE YEARS! I went to the local Apple store to get my phone reset, as I wasn't able to do it at home. The employee who helped me could not fix it and told me the phone had given out and that was the end of it. I said, "You mean to tell me that I spent $1,000 on an iPhone X, which I haven't even had for 3 years, and it's given out and I just have to buy a new one??!" He stated that he wouldn't put it that way and became condescending and patronizing with me, but basically, yes - I was stuck with a worthless phone. I asked to speak to the manager who came over with a bitchy attitude. She said there was nothing I could do, but pay 500 dollars more to get a replacement, as if the warranty had not expired. I was livid. I could not believe that she wanted me to pay an additional 500 dollars for another iPhone, which would have brought the total for the phone to $1,500!! Not only could I not afford that, but my conscience would not allow me to spend that much money on a phone. I need to speak to someone who can remedy this, or I will start raising awareness as to the issues surrounding iphone X. Am I the the only one whose phone conked out not even having had 3 years?? I had an appointment to come here with my sister to get her battery replaced. We did our due diligence to call the day before to confirm our appointment and even have a voicemail confirming it with instructions to check in when we get in. When we got in the next day and tried to check in, the first employee we hailed down told us that our name was not listed for any appointments because we needed to call back to confirm after receiving the voicemail. We tried to explain that the voicemail WAS A CONFIRMATION FOR OUR APPOINTMENT and to show her our appointment confirmation email but she insisted that we did not have an appointment if we did not respond to the voicemail. We had to hail down a 2nd employee after that and he promptly found our appointment and checked the phone in to replace the battery. We came back two hours later and checked in as soon as we walked in but were informed that it could take another 30 mins because they were busy with a lot of pick ups right now. We waited patiently for another 30 mins and then approached another employee to see how many more pick ups we had ahead of us, to which they respond that our name was not on the wait list and we had to re-check in at the bottom of the list. 20 minutes later, we ask the same question and they AGAIN tell us that our name was not on the wait list, asking if we had checked in with anyone. When we told her that we had already checked in twice, she was able to pick up our phone almost immediately. After this whole debacle, they bring out my sister's phone untouched and as is because the water damage seal was red. I understand that's the policy but the service was frustrating to say the least. It should not have to take us so many tries to get checked in for our appointment and pick ups. read more

BUYERS Be Careful!!! This store sells phone with missing parts to their costumers!! I purchased a "new phone" from them in October 2015, and after two months the camera did not work. When I came to the store to get it fixed, as it was still under warranty, the store attendants informed me, to my dismay, they could not do anything because the phone had missing parts. Again, the warranty is still valid, and I certainly do not need to bring my phone some place else to repair it and for a fee. They are tricking and stealing from costumers. I talked to the manager, Peter Lee, who did not do anything to help me but rather assumed that I was lying to him about the phone and the missing parts, which they assumed, I presume, I had stolen. So in conclusion, first they rob the costumer by selling phones with missing parts, and then, they do whatever it takes to deny responsibilities with respect to their poorly constructed phones. Never drank the Kool-Aid To be fair, I'm certainly not an Apple fan boy who thinks the company can make no wrong turns. I'm not a "super progressive liberal" who drive my hybrid to starbucks, whips out my macbook covered in "Go Green" stickers, and tweets all day. And oddly enough, neither are all the employees at the Apple Store- the one redeeming aspect of this store. I stopped by the store to check out some accessories for my iPhone and entered a dirty "hipster" zone. It seemed like half the people at the mall were in the Apple Store- which isn't a fault of the store, but still makes a unpleasant experience when you have tons of screaming kids running around and playing tag, while their parents are talked in to buying a computer that they don't yet realize they can't afford. Despite the craziness, some employees still manage to make the rounds and check to see if you're finding everything all right. They do have the elitist employees who know everything about a mac product and silently judge you if you don't- but there's also a segment that is comprised of people just working a job, with no discernible fanboy interests. They can be the most helpful. They are employees that actually help me find what I need and promptly and courtesy help me complete my purchase. This Apple Store needs MORE of these employees. If they did, it could make it a better experience, but they value a different type of employee. Which is fine, but it doesn't help sway anybody, like me, who is in the middle of the Apple spectrum. Management misses the mark on a very basic fundamental business fact- you know you have the fanboys on your side, so cater to the customers on the fence and try and earn more of their business. I'll still come in whenever I want to browse accessories or get a new screen protector, but never have any desire to stay and look at anything longer. Another time I came for a standby, but they wouldn't let me, so I sat there and some nice guy replaced my iPhone. I also bought the iPhone 4 here 2 days after the release.
