This place has by far the worst customer service on the planet. Even though they acknowledged that I would get a replacement rather than fixing my watch, they need to send it out which will take 3 to 5 days. Apple is quite a busy store. Their products sell like crazy. Apple phones and ipads and are quite simple. They try to get to you as efficient as possible. The manager was gd and patient at explaining things. I would go to Santa Monica or Manhattan Village or Brea next time. I'm sure South Coast Plaza would be quite hectic as well. I LEFT IT FOR REPAIR AND IT TOOK 8-9 DAYS (BUSINESS DAYS) TO HAVE IT BACK. WHEN I RECEIVED IT FROM THE SHOP THE TRACKPAD WAS BROKEN ‍ THE MOST HELPFUL APPLE ADVISOR WAS MICHAEL FROM THE APPLE CORPORATE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY PHONE. HE WAS AMAZING, VERY UNDERSTANDING AND CARING. SOME OF THE EMAILS I SENT: # 1 I talked to Erwin, last week regarding my problem. My family member received the macbook air today. My Husband turned it on but he is not sure if everything is working right. Erwin advised me to try the macbook air for 5 days and take it back to the store if something was wrong. This is not possible because I had an emergency and we decided to wait until Monday (the day that I go back to the States), to try it, to make sure that the macbook air is good. Like I told you before with my customer experience and as apple's devices user, I can tell this macbook air is defective. I can not believe that it took 7 business days + 2 weekends, for you guys to gave it back to us. I was promised by the genius bar lady that it was going to take no more than 5 days. Erwin also mentioned that most likely that I was going to received it by yesterday and I ended up receiving it until today. That macbook air is pretty much new, thisis why I keep thinking that something was wrong with that macbook air since the beginning. I just wanted to confirmed what we talked about before, the repair of my macbook air was covered, because it was still under the 1 year warranty right? This was a horrible experience. We had to wait way to long to have that mackbook air back. It took to much of my time, multiple calls, frustation to the tears, mental stress, etc I am behind on my work and my kids are behind on their homework, their grades went down, all this and much more, just beacause of Apple. I am very dissapointed of apple service and repair process. #2 2 I just got back from Mexico. I tried the macbook air that was repair and I am more upset and frustated. This place was PACKED. Luckily I was able to make an appointment to meet with someone from the Genius Bar. They got to me right away, and they were really nice. My problem was...they were no help at ALL. I brought in my Macbook Pro, and I told them what had happened to it. They took out a TV monitor and plugged in some cables to see if it still turned on. I told them the batteries died, and it doesn't accept power (because the circuits in that area burnt out). The lady then told me that she will fetch me a price. At this point I was baffled because they didn't really check my laptop! At least my dad popped open the bottom and inspected the circuits carefully (which was how I found out that something burnt out). She came back telling me it could be fixed for $755 and that the DOWNSIDE is, they'd have to replace every single part, including the HD. MIGHT AS WELL BUY A NEW COMPUTER RIGHT?? -______- I know they don't have to replace every part because it was only one area that burnt out, and you could actually buy that part separately, so I knew they were just after the money. Maybe I'll come back again and see a different person, but for now, I'm really just hesitating on going back to this place... read more

I paid for accidental coverage with AppleCare (AppleDon'tCare) only to find out they want to charge me $80 to repair a cracked screen. If I didn't get AppleCare (AppleDon'tCare) in the first place a repair elsewhere I could have taken it to that would have been $40 through Amazon but because it's not an Apple (CrApple) approved store it would void my warranty if I went there. I called AppleCare (AppleDon'tCare) on Saturday morning and they set me up with the soonest appointment which wasn't until Monday at 8:30pm. I get there 30 minutes early to check in and the Apple (CrApple) sales rep tells me he can't check me in but I need to check in with another Apple (CrApple) sales rep who he points to across the busy overcrowded Apple Store. I check in with him, my appointment is at 8:30pm but they don't see me until 8:45pm and the Apple (CrApple) rep Chad tells me they are closing soon at 9:00pm and tries to rush me when he was the one who was late. The Chad tells me if they fix my phone I would have to leave it over night and pick it up the next day because they are closing soon because he has no time to fix it. The rep I spoke with on the phone told me I would be receiving a refurbished phone only because it's Apple (CrApple) they don't like to use the word refurbished. Chad argued with me that wasn't what his notes about my phone call said. Chad who is white also white like me gave me the feeling like he was giving me a bad attitude because I was with my boyfriend who is Latino. Chad didn't outright say it but he gave me the bad vibe that he couldn't stand seeing an interracial couple together. Fortunately because we made his skin crawl he told us he was getting the manager right away and the manager came to us in less than a minute asking what the problem was. I found it strange since we weren't being loud, cussing, or asked for the manager. After talking to the manager he looked at my phone and said it needed to be replaced with a different phone like the rep on the phone said. He also said that because of this it would take 3-5 days to get a new phone, and he ordered Chad to get our information to get a replacement. I asked the manager why it is if I made an Appointment already on the phone with an Apple (CrApple) rep and they already knew what needed to be done why it would take them 3-5 days. He claimed that it's a first come first serve basis and they're not always in stock. That seemed stupid to me since they knew what needed to be done, and gave me an appointment that was 2 days later. If they knew it takes 3-5 days why not make my appointment 3-5 days later when the phone comes in so I don't have to come back again and wait around? Why did I pay for AppleCare (AppleDon'tCare) if they are still going to charge me $80? Not to mention their Apple (CrApple) sales rep Chad is an obvious bigot. read more

My friend had bought an iphone here in the U.S. in 2013 and took it back to China, the phone was DOA, it would not read any SIM card. This year when I visited him in China, he asked me to take it back and see if there's anything Apple could do for him considering the phone never worked out of the box and Apple stores in China refused to do anything about it. So I went to the store and tried to make the case for him, but those ignorant and arrogant so-called "geniuses" told me there was only one option, which is to pay another $300 to get a new phone on top of $900 he had already paid for a now out-of-date iPhone 5s. What a way to treat its customers! I myself has been somewhat an Apple since I bought my 1st iPhone back in 2008, and I have spent thousands of $s buying iPhones iPads, MBs, iMac,Apple watch, Apple TV, you name it. Worst experience ever!! Not that my previous experiences at this store were 100% excellent, but, today it hit the lowest rank. Today I walked out feeling like a delinquent. The store has a section were the watches are displayed in the open where you can physically try them out. No where in the area does it say to not touch or grab them. So here I am with my daughter trying one on when a staff approached the display table and with a dire attitude demanded us to leave it alone. He gave us another watch that was taken out from a hidden drawer. But, the way he said it made us feel as we were stealing something. In addition, there was another customer in front of us when he confronted us. Never did he explain his behavior and neither did did he apologize. I had to wait and asked why he did that. His response was that the table should have never been left alone without an employer and the watches were not to be tried on and went on to another customer. But, he never apologize. read more

I had an issue with the apple iwatch series2 that was gifted to me. It was past the 2 week mark but Lyndsi and her team went above and beyond to take care of me. They were all very patient with me and my watch issue. Unfortunately they didn't have what I wanted to had to come back the next day and although I didn't get his name, Lyndsi had her employee take care of me and again was very amazed with their service. He was very patient, and opinionated when I needed it. I too work retail and know sometimes the days can be tough especially if you can't answer questions. But the whole team helped each other to help me! Not to mention I went with the same issue to apple in brea and they completely shut me out saying there was nothing they could do. Came in to get my screen replaced and I was actually happy for my wait time, I was told I was going to get a message(which I never received). Literally had to wait 10mins past the suppose able time. I was greatful they added me in the right away to wait for a technician but seriously had to wait almost 50 mins just to ask again if I were to be getting any helped(while there was workers everywhere walking around or just standing and completely doing nothing). Now I have to wait an additional hour and a half for my phone to be ready ? Seriously you guys need to step up your customer service. Took my phone in because my camera wasn't working. They said they had to keep it overnight for the service. I asked the guy "and this doesn't cost me anything?" To which he replied that it was covered under warranty. I come to pick it up in the morning and they said that they replaced the camera and it was a $60 fee. I told them I was told it was covered under warranty and wouldn't cost and he goes "yeah I don't have any note of that. If you don't want to pay it we can put your old camera back in." No one tells you their name so you can't even hold someone accountable. A very frustrating encounter. read more

Your standard Apple store, which has the usual layout and helpful staff you'd expect. Today I went to the Genius Bar because my battery needed to be serviced. I expected to pay for a replacement battery $100 because my warranty was expired, but they said the battery only lasted 2/3 of the time it should so they replaced it for free anyway. He helped me with another issue I was having with my laptop, and was both friendly and knowledgeable. I'll be back to do some Christmas shopping! read more
