Staff are extremely friendly and able to answer all your technical needs. I give the store a one star because I had Apple store replace the battery on my 6s iPhone. On my way home I noticed an autumn bleach mark on the upper most part of screen, on edge. There are 2 burn marks on screen. This was not an issue before my battery was replaced. After Apple store replaced my batter I get autumn bleach marks on screen. Anyways wasn't able to get back to Apple until a week later because of life. When I finally managed to go to Apple store to bring issue to Genius's,I get told it's $149 dollars to fix it. Apple isn't liable for damages to phone after replacement. This is a lil lengthy but bottom line, don't get ripped off here for phone repairs and advice!!! The advice I was given was going to cost me $1,000 compared to what I really had to pay which was $45. Go to JI's phone repair. If your phone is in that desperate need of a repair and your so called warranty doesn't cover the repair, don't waste your time at the Apple store!!!!! It has taken me a little while to get to this but worst experience ever. If I could give negative stars, I would. The only reason for the one star is because 1. I have to and 2. The one guy who checked me in was extremely nice. Other than that what a crap experience. The lady next to me at the "Genius Bar" was losing her mind and I overheard her say she already had paid $350 to get her phone repaired and was looking at another $250 to have it shipped out and repaired again was begging them to at least get her a loaner phone. The "Genius" helping her was an ass and was very condescending. No help at all. The issue I had... after the "diagnostic" found out my charging port was dead. According to the "genius" couldn't be fixed. Was told all of my data was lost but could try their recommended recovery service and it would cost $1,000!!!!! Offered to sell me a new phone with no data to download bc my current phone was "dead". Are you serious dude? Was devastated. I knew I needed to upgrade my phone and had been putting it off. Just needed it to turn on to get my pictures, contacts, notes with passwords, etc. There was no compassion. Went to JI's and for $45 they replaced the charging port and got my old phone enough juice to get my new phone transferred over. Another thought.... I had a bogus battery that Apple admitted to. Why couldn't they have just replaced the battery so I had enough charge to transfer my data?? Nope... recommended a $1,000 service as my only option bc I didn't download to the iCloud... Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out a new battery would have worked for what I needed it for but he never took the time to care or even try and problem solve. I am definitely no "Genius" but even I came up with better solutions but was told "there is nothing that can be done." Bottom line, the tech who helped me could've cared less and offered no solutions except to pay $1,000 for data recovery. Waste of time. Will NEVER go to an Apple store again and will be telling everyone to avoid their "Genius" bar at all cost. read more

When I first arrived, I was greeted by more than 3 people; despite it being busy. I came a little early to my appointment and while I was early to be checked in, I had 2 more people ask if I needed help. Finally a woman came up to me and asked if I needed anything and told her that I'm just waiting to be checked in to my appointment. She asked me what time it was for and I told her 7:15. Once checked in, she brought me to the table to wait for a Tech. As I was waiting, one of the guys apologized and mentioned it would be another 5 mins till the Tech was done. I purchased an iPhone X online through Apple, then about 30 minutes later I received a email telling me that the order was ready for pickup. I arrived at the store, which was packed, but I was immediately approached by a staff member asking if they could help me. I had an appointment at 2:40 and I got there at 2:35. Sat for 20 minutes and 5 employees walked past me without even saying hi or acknowledging me, when I finally got helped the guy said "well we are busy with other customers" like okay honey there's 5 employees standing around talking and none of them even said hi when I walked in. My MacBook-Air died. After 6 years it gave me the "grey screen of death" which essentially was a "O" with a line through it. After a failed but valiant phone call to Apple's support line they successfully booked me an appointment with the closest and soonest time/location. Keep in mind it was 11:45a on a Monday, but I got right in with someone who checked me in easily. I sat down and immediately someone walked over to help me. I was very thankful for "Kevin" he was super helpful, relatable, and most of all very knowledgeable. Thankfully, my computer was 100% restored and fixed within the afternoon. Took my iPhone there because voice dictation wasn't working. They told me I'd have to replace the screen and the bottom microphone for $140. I knew this was wrong! I guess when you hire a bunch of IT people, great customer service isn't your goal. Rude, judgy, condescending. They were put out that I got to the store 15 minutes before my appointment but then didn't make their self imposed one hour (after my true appt time) deadline by nearly 1/2 hour. I had to show my ID to 5 different employees. I had to wait in line just to hand my phone to someone even though there were twice as many employees doing nothing as there were customers. In the end, they did what I asked them to do but getting there was a real pain and seemed really unnecessary. I don't think the issue is store specific though. Apple stores are always busy, active, and crowded. This store was appropriately staffed to handle volume. I was greeted every time and escorted to my direct contact. It was clearly evident an efficient system was in place. Loved being addressed by name. They were able to accommodate both my walk in visits for Genius Bar with only 15 min wait. After the 1st visit for a battery exchange my phone started acting all sorts of crazy. I came back the next day they remembered me and my issue. They ran further diagnostic but to fully resolve my concerns and a 3rd trip back they replaced my phone. I helped me w backup and set up. Now that's guaranteeing their product!! read more

I bought my new iPhone 6s Plus here a few months ago and had a wonderful experience. The person I dealt with made sure I was happy with the decision with which phone I was getting, as far as the 6s or the 6s plus. When I went in a few weeks later to buy bands for my new Apple Watch I was very happy with the experience also. Today I went in to have my MacBook looked at, and they let me know that there is nothing they could do, but I could pay to replace the parts inside for a pretty expensive price. I do not need a new laptop right now so I think I will wait. I had a case on my phone though I thought I should ask if I could exchange it under their 1 year warranty. I had an IPhone 6 with a cracked screen. I didn't realize I had coverage through apple care, nor that the Apple Store did repairs onsite (i live under a rock). So I had stopped by the Tech Defense kiosk near Starbucks in this mall. The guy was having a replacement screen dropped off, so I went in the Apple Store to buy a case. In talking with one of the apple folks, he warned me that I could void my warranty, but then checked with another employee who stated that the policy had changed and the warranty would not be voided. I would have grabbed the phone back from TechDefense if the warranty would have been voided as they hadn't dismantled my phone yet. Ended up getting 2 bad screens from TechDefense. Went to Apple Store yesterday to get the screen fixed under my Apple Care and was initially told I had voided my warranty. I was pretty upset as this was the same store who told me it would be ok. I asked for a manager who got me with a tech. They ended up changing out the screen without charging me anything. read more

My upfront suggestion here is that you go to CostCo. They have the same stuff and they are nice. That said: The people at the Apple Store are complete jerks. The disrespectful treatment shown to me, an older citizen, was annoying to say the least. If you are deemed worthy enough to buy a very expensive Apple device, just hope nothing every goes wrong with it because getting help or getting it repaired isn't going to happen. Let's also mention the new policy of two security guards watching the intake cordoned que, with the officious person with the clip board being oh so important. Think you want to pop in and just take a look around? Nope. Not even if the store and line are empty. "Moving forward, you will need to just go online and see if we have an appointment at least 24 hours in advance. Apple is no longer doing same day appointments." So, I decided to buy a new SSD hard drive. The customer service person went above and beyond to install my new hard rive and upgrade my OS. I would first like to start by saying that this Apple store has some of the best customer service that I have ever experienced. I came to the store to get a new charger and as I walked into the store they had announced that they had no more appointments Despite having no more appointments they were still able to take care of me. Alex was super awesome. She found a way to help me out despite having a store full of customers. She was very good at handling multiple customers at once. She went above and beyond to ensure that I not only received a new charger but that it was only the charger that was the problem with my Mac. Christina was also amazing. She came in to help Alex out and ensured to continue to check up on me during the process. I will definitely recommend people go to this Apple store if they need assistance with anything. read more

How is it that the iPhone 7s isn't working properly so you take it in and they give you the run around and then they say ok let wipe phone clean and try that for a few days and oh drive all they way back here and we will give you a replacement phone. Well I got the replacement phone and I asked if they could replace the glass protector since it's apples fault that the old phone never worked right and she said oh not that will cost you $35.00 um yeah I don't think so, there is a place called Amazon where you can get them for $6.00. This is by far the worst Apple Store I've ever been to. I don't get why their managers and service people hate their job. You can just tell by walking in. No one greets you, smiles or even care to help. They love saying No To everything. For somebody who spends a lot of money here, I think they do should do a better job taking care of their customers than just treating them poorly. I hate coming here. i dont leave many reviews, but my experience last night was so unprofessional, rude, i was compelled to write this review today. ive been eager to purchase the new iPad pro(or the new Air), and a new iPhone, as im due for an upgrade. i had every intention of purchasing both, plus all relevant "accessories", plus who knows what else. i went after i closed my own business. arrived at 6:20pm. had my mask on, so did my employee who went w me. as were walking into the store, we get stopped by a security guard. he says we have to wait in line. oh, ok.. this is a first, but i understand we're living in some strange times. i gave a quick glance inside the store, empty! i turn around and see the 'line', which was also empty. we walk over to it and immediately get stopped by the rudest security guard ive dealt with in quite a while. rude enough to take time out of my very busy day to write a bad review... first thing this young man said to me is "why are you here!?" not, what brings you in today? WHY ARE YOU HERE!!! i was dumbfounded! i said "to purchase items?"... why else would i be there... do you have an appt, he barks. uh, no, i didnt think i needed one., i say. well you MUST have an appt and we dont have any open appt's left for today. you can make an appt for another day, he says. its 6;25ish, no customers inside the store. no customers in line. 3 security guards standing outside, and for some reason this security guard didnt want my employee and me to go inside the store?? needless to say they lost a fairly decent sale. as big as Apple is, i know my sale doesnt matter much on the big picture, but this isnt about the $$$$! im a business owner myself, and that 'type' of customer service is unacceptable!! and i didnt even get in the door.... read more

I had amazing free help on my iPhone from the Genius Bar. The walk in appointment didn't take long at all to get (even shorter than they said the wait would be) and they were able to diagnose my phone. Unfortunately they were not able to fix it which sucks. My phone has no cracks or damage on it but the microphone for phone calls decided to stop working. Apparently this type of damage cannot be fixed and the entire phone has to be replaced. Not great design for that but oh well. I was happy with the free diagnosis and the apple genius looking and trying to clean out the microphone several times. There was also a bunch of really cool sphero toys and other apple gadgets. read more

My daughter just went through 3 days of Apple Camp and it was awesome and very well done. There are 3 different tracks to choose from. We went with the programming/robotics track and she learned the basics of coding and was able to apply it on the Sphero robot in camp. It was great fun, very educational and informative. Each camp is 90 minutes which was more than enough time for the kids to explore and play. They each got a very nice t shirt, a certificate and a sticker. It was all hands on with iPads and Sphero. This place is a joke. I only came to this store because it is usually the least busy apple store in the san diego area and easier to find parking. BUT they probly have the worst service. I stood around the iPhone area for maybe 5 minutes already knowing I was gonna buy one. No one helped me. So I asked 3 different people for help and all of them said theyre working a different section and would call someone over to help me. No one came for at least 3 minutes (kinda long in terms of shopping customer service time), and none of them were actually helping anyone. So I stood over by the roped off area. A girl behind the rope asked me if she could help me and I told her the situation. She said she would call someone to help me and I politely told her she's the 4th person to tell me that. A minute later another guy shows up and gets behind the rope. Same thing happens and I tell him he's the 5th person to tell me. 5th guy makes a call on his headset then says "nevermind I'll just help u out." sold and set up my phone in maybe 10 minutes. He was really nice but I'd have to say the place is run pretty poorly. On the plus side, they didn't have the typical B.O. that most apple employees carry.
