The 2 stars is ONLY because the 2nd associate we worked with was great and got our issue resolved. His name was Chris and I would give him 5 stars for being friendly and helpful. Our first contact was with a girl named Ashley who I can only assume was having a bad night because there is no other way to excuse her surly behavior towards my husband and I. We had an issue with upgrading a 2nd iPhone. Granted the fault probably lay squarely on ATT however given that we had spent many thousands of dollars on Apple products in the past 12 months and our problem began with the ATT rep stationed at the Apple Store 2 weeks earlier, we went to the Apple Store to purchase our 3rd iPhone 6 and get the problem resolved Ashley was nice at first but when things got complicated we asked for her manager The manager came over and outlined how the transaction would be handled and it was exactly what we expected but when he left Ashley returned to her assertion that WE needed to handle the issue with ATT and she could not help us. The coup de grace was when she (with a straight face) actually said to me that apparently I did not know how to talk on the phone which is why I was asking for her help When I asked her (still in a relatively calm voice) why she was being so rude to us she said "I can't work with you" and walked away The manager returned with Chris, who helped us and we left the store with our issue resolved (45 minutes later) and at least 2 calls to ATT which would have gotten me nowhere since the problem lay with the SIM card being switched and the lingo was something that I would have been hard pressed to explain to the ATT rep, but Chris had no problem with at all Not only should Ashley be removed from working with customers, she should be disciplined and probably fired for her inappropriate and inexcusable treatment of my husband and I My next step is going to be to write a letter to Apple headquarters about my experience read more

Came into store at 2:30pm to get screen replaced, they gave me an appointment for 3:50pm. When I came back to the store they told me that they were a bit behind. Then I got a text at 4pm saying that my appointment has been moved to between 5:50-6:10pm. This is unacceptable service. Do they expect people to wait around all day for something that should not take more than one hour. I regret buying AppleCare it would be easier buying insurance from my carrier. read more

I recently went to the Apple Store (where I had previously purchased my desktop and IPhone) prepared to purchase an Apple Notebook. A no-brainer; an easy win-win situation. I had two technical questions about creating documents in Word that I needed answered before finalizing my purchase. The young salesman was very nice, but told me that he did not know the answers to my questions. OK. That happens. One should not expect a salesperson to know every answer to every question. So I pointed out another Apple employee on the floor who had helped me a week prior with the same question, and who knew exactly what I was talking about. The young man returned a couple of minutes later and told me the other employee "never met me before." Wrong answer!! I was told the more knowledgable employee was with another customer, and I had to wait. No problem. After about 10 minutes, the manager came out to tell me the other employee had left on break. OK. I get it. But is it too much to expect that someone with the ability to answer a basic question might make him/herself available? Classic case on how to turn a win-win into a lose-lose. 4.5 stars for the Apple store today. On a Saturday afternoon, I walked into the Apple store knowing I was going to get the MacBook Pro. I had done a little research prior to my purchase, so I had I good idea what I wanted. I even knew what my student discount was going to be. Normally, when I step foot into this particular store, it is complete chaos, and slight agoraphobia amps up within me. Today, however, was a bit more relaxed. I say it was due to the amazing weather, and people were enjoying their outdoor activities instead of shopping indoors. Regardless, I had a really great experience today. Good thing too, since I hate spending good money at a store and having terrible service. After browsing around for a few minutes, an employee asked if he could help me. I went ahead and told him what I was looking for, and asked a couple of questions. He was really helpful and made friendly conversation with me. Before we finished chatting, he had already had someone deliver the computer to me. No need to stand in line to pick up or pay for your item. They bring the item to you, and the employee assisting you rings you up right then and there with their portable credit card swiper. Then, Apple provides an awesome free service that will most benefit the non-techies. The in-store set-up service! For no extra charge, an Apple employee sits with you for about 20 minutes and helps you set up your laptop immediately after purchase. I found this extremely beneficial since I am a PC user, and was unfamiliar with the intricate details of a Mac. The employee was able to help me set up my email accounts, show me all the icons, and generally familiarize me with the Apple way of doing things. Not too shabby! read more

Went in to get my iPad looked at. The colors on the screen were distorted. Worker wanted to try a reset. I asked if I was going to lose anything on the iPad. He said I had a resent backup so I wouldn't lose anything. He did the reset. It did not fix my problem and the only backup available is from 2016. What happened to resent backup he was talking about? I lost three years of photos. I have small children and those were important photos. I never would have had him do the reset if I was going to lose anything. read more

Sucks! Only interested in selling. Worst customer service ever! I have an IPhone with a service plan including battery care. Apple refuses to honor it and AT&T stores are forbidden to open/access the inside of a phone. Both point the finger and blame. Secondly, my phone works poorly and is slow even after re-booting. Again after 3 visits to Apple, I get the 1000 yard stare from some 19 yr old who doesn't know anything about the product, or they want to sell me a new phone. This place seriously needs to update it's policy on customer service because it bites! A friend of mine received a used Apple laptop computer as a gift, but the battery life was low and she needed to find out if she could buy a new battery. We went in the store on a Saturday about mid day. The store was relatively uncrowded (for an Apple store) and there were plenty of employees who were doing nothing more than chatting among themselves in small groups. We approached one of them and asked if they sell batteries for Apple computers at this location, nothing more. The employee replied that she was not qualified to answer that question, but lead us to a person who could. As we waited for the guy who was qualified to answer (he was preoccupied with his tablet), we repeated the question to him. His response was "do you have an appointment?" We replied "no", we just wanted to know if your store sells batteries for laptops at that location, then we would pursue it further. His reply was "I'm unable to answer that question unless you have an appointment, and that the next available appointment would be more than 60 minutes away." We replied "you mean we will have to wait more than 60 minutes before you can answer that general question? He said "yep, next time make an appointment." We left. You've got to be freaking kidding me! That store had more than 5 employees doing nothing more than chatting, and yet only 1 employee is qualified to answer that? And wouldn't do it without an appointment?? Hard lesson learned: if Apple doesn't give a single hoot about anything else other than selling new equipment, then forget 'em! I needed a replacement charger for my MacBook Air. I provided both the serial number and model type to the associate. I drove 30 minutes to the store to purchase it as I was informed in advance they had plenty in stock. I got home, and the charger was not compatible. Apparently I need to physically bring my computer with me to check compatibility. read more

We had an appointment here Saturday at 12:50 p.m and Roy helped us out with our phone and made sure that the process of restoring our phone was going smoothly. He even put a phone aside in case restoring the phone didn't help correct the problem (which we came back Tuesday to claim since the factory store did not work) I like that this location wasn't super jam packed with people playing on the apple products, and random walk-ins waiting to be helped. We were helped on time and I for someone with kids, its good to be able to be in and out. read more

One of the poorer Apple customer service I've experienced. Saw a group of about three Apple workers standing around just chatting. They all had their devices to check customers out so I knew they were capable. Approached them to make a purchase and one kinda stood around unsure as the other directed me towards a busier area where they had set up an "express" checkout. They continued chatting away while I waited to be checked out. Too many workers standing around not helping customers who obviously need help. The retail experience at this Apple location is eroding. read more

I gave Apple 4 stars only because the staff here is no very knowable. I work in IT for a living and almost every computer in my house is Apple not because I am bias but because I don't enjoy fixing my own computers. I understand that Apple probably doesn't pay much to there staff but still, they should at least know how to clear a log file in terminal. Prices are a bit high too, but that is just my opinion. Still overall I love MAC's for there innovation and there practical applications. read more

I have had the best experience shopping at this Apple Store! Three weeks ago I purchased my first iPhone (the iPhone 5) from Verizon, while Verizon folks were helpful they are not Apple. I bought an iMac two weeks ago from this store and purchased the OnetoOne sessions, I've been in four times for classes and every time...they ask how is my Droid/PC to Apple transition coming along! They've helped me with learning my iPhone and making the switch to a Mac as smooth as possible. Group sessions usually turn into One to One individual sessions, I LOVE IT! read more

I know staff has to go through steps to fix an issue- which is rare for Apple products. It is a pain but understood. Being clueless and unhelpful and treating customers as if they are ignorant is another. During my steps to resolve over several days, I have wondered if staff at this location are at normal intelligence. I have been literally at the mercy of their service in hopes I wouldn't be out of the cost of my phone.(they take product in back to repair and will come out with an answer). Coming to this store is a waste of time. Don't go in if you have to wait after 8:30pm. I went into the store and there was a long wait, which was to be expected, however because our wait pushed us past the "830pm window" to upgrade a phone, the associate told us that he wasn't going to be able to help us because they were closing soon. The experience became "better" when we asked to schedule an appointment so that we could come in and not have this happen and he basically told us we could do it on our own at home... I really got the feeling that he wanted us to leave so he could close the store.... Overall a very poor experience and I will not be going to North County Apple Store again. read more

Shout out to Daniel for not only fixing my computer's battery problem but also pointing out the delamination issue and informing me that the repair would be covered. He clearly cares. Went here to but earbuds. Easy enough. I've been in Apple Stores, so I know how it goes. Walked in, grabbed buds, while I was there, thought I would price out Thunderbolt drives. Walk over to the externals and start looking for the Thunderbolt drives. That's when I was approached. Needed to explain to the employee what I was looking for, why I wanted it, what computers it worked on, and what it did. I don't expect the brightest or even an Army of Geekage there to help, it's Apple, they hire the hip, the cute, the good looking, not the qualified.
