Wish I'd bought an Apple product long ago just for the amazing tech support! Gilbert helped me immediately and spent about 45 minutes solving my set-up problems and syncing my iPhone with my iPad. He not only explained what to do, he slowly and thoroughly walked me through each process. The store looked jam-packed, but I noticed numerous "blue shirts" with smiles on their faces looking for people to help. My husband is a happy man tonight, if you know what I mean! read more

So my MacBook Pro early 2011 model stopped turning on unless the power adapter was plugged into it and had a message on the battery symbol "Condition: Replace Now" I made an appointment to get my battery replaced and I had to wait an extra 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. After I got a tech to take a look at my MacBook Pro, he explained to me that there was something else wrong with my MacBook and it wasn't just the battery. He suggested that I would have to replace the whole board(which is $500) , and get another battery ($129) . And said by that point I might as well get a new one. However I decided to ignore his advice and bought a battery off amazon by Greenbox innovations for $40 that had a 5-star rating. The battery was all I needed because my MacBook works just fine now! I do not recommend this place to give you useful info when coming in for repairs . read more

Went in to have my iPhone 5 screen replaced. Made the appt several days in advance. Asked if the calibration machine was working--it was "working great--1 month old." They quoted me 20-25 minutes for this process two times over. After checking in twice and 50 minutes later--I was told the calibration machine was broken. So, we have a problem. The exact item I checked on at the beginning of the call was broken--I wonder how long they knew about this before telling me? Anyway, it can go two ways from here--with excellent customer service--Apple can come out of this the hero--but, no that didn't happen. The gentleman assisting me indicated that that it "wasn't his fault." This irked me further and when I commented that they could do something about it--iTunes gift card, percentage off next purchase, etc. He said "Apple doesn't do this." So, now, I am out time, money and a phone. We spend about 15 minutes together as I expressed my frustration all the while the guys were in the back were on the phone to support. (he had told me I could go to Valley Fair at 6 p.m. on a work night and have the process complete--can you say 2 hours later, gas, energy, etc). By the time we were done--they had fixed it--over an hour later. Still, the gentleman assisting me claims, it's "not his fault" and "things happen." I fill out the customer service survey that came in over email a day or so letter and check the box that says, "yes, Apple can call me about my experience." The manager calls me and expresses that my concerns will not go unnoticed. However, again, does she compensate in any way? No. Why take more of my time on the phone if you've got the details in a survey. She goes on to state that she has, in some circumstances, done just that (offered an itunes giftcard, percentage off next purchase, etc) thereby insulting me further as my situation apparently didn't warren the extra mile. I don't feel Ariel made it better by calling. I feel she perpetuated the Apple stance of "We are Apple; we rule. Take it or leave it." Again, it was about me giving "my time" while Apple gives nothing. If I wasn't entrenched with so many products, I would switch off of Apple. They are making it harder and harder to like their products because you have to go through their brand of support: tight timelines that flex when they need them to but not when you need them to; apathy toward customer experience; inability to truly amend a given situation; immaturity in their approach overall (and I work in high tech sales--around peers of theirs all day long). There are several posts here about poor customer service for this store--one positive is the guy who went to Best Buy first. I am in line with the former...I will not go back to this store and feel that Ariel, customer service rep--was again just "doing her job." It was even awkward at the end when she said "it will not go unnoticed." I really didn't need 15 minutes taken out of my precious day to be told that--email works just fine. However, if you were actually calling to retain my business and do something for me to compensate for my time, energy lost and overall negative experience--that is a good reason to call. No more Apple Oakridge. Let's see how the rest fare. read more

This is the worse damn service I have ever experienced in my fucking life..first off i come in to pick up my phone after repair, and they can not locate it through my name..i pull up an email with notice that my phone is ready and my phone is under another person's name and they do not want to let me get my phone now...im about to rip someone a new asshole as im still sitting in Apple waiting for my phone...this is the most incompetant apple store I've ever been to..and im being quite generous with even giving a one star read more

For a repair that takes 15 min max, they don't offer any same day service even with very urgent need. Said that I'd have to leave my computer for 2-3 days. Up to 3 days for 12 computers ahead of me in line? also didn't offer any advice on faster alternatives. Considering this is due to a factory faulty hardware piece, I hardly think this is what Apple care wants to stand for. read more

If you're planning to get an apple repair, don't send it in to this store. Instead of having my laptop fixed, my laptop ended up with more damages. This is the second time I have to take my laptop into repair into the same store. The employees are rude, and they don't even respect the customer. I was outside making a phone call and one of the employees gave me the stink-eye. If I could give no stars, I would. In addition when I got home at night, they sent someone else's receipt to my email. Please you have one job, do your job right. I went to the Apple store to get a new battery for my iPhone because it keeps shutting off at 40% (that is frustrating enough). I was told I needed to make an appointment and it would take an hour. Are you kidding me, one hour just to purchase a battery. I don't need to talk to anyone, I don't want to buy a new phone. I know how to install and charge it. I asked what time they opened and they told me at 10:00am. I said I would return then, they said you still need to make an appointment and it may take longer than an hour. All I want is a stinking battery. Maybe it's time to get a new phone (maybe something other than the iPhone). read more

Went to the apple store to get my iphone 5s and I think his name was Randy who helped me out. He was the friendliest person ever! He was an older man in a wheelchair who was a retired high school history teacher. He answered ALL of my questions and helped me start my phone. He was fast efficient and just an overall cool person. In their defense I want to be clear my phone is 14 months old and the warranty is only 12 months. That being said, I downloaded the new iOS update and it greyed out my wifi. so my daughter takes it in to the Apple store where they treat her poorly and accuse her of getting it wet(which they are able to check and prove she did not) and say "no warranty no help". So I get home and take the phone back in where Ross the manager tries to explain to me that yes Apple's update killed my phone but it could not have done so if the phone was not already failing. So your inferior product was the problem not the iOS that had to be corrected and yet I am out of luck because of sixty days. We pay enough for these items and then ample each month to use them, apparently it is too much to expect a quality product and quality service but fear not you can pay even more for insurance to protect against Apple's short comings but only for two years. read more

Terrible service! My laptop crashed on my birthday. There were no Genius appointments available so I waited until 10am to call them since that is when they open. I asked if it was busy and if I could come by. The girl said it's not busy, just 1 person in front of you. I came within 15 minutes, and somehow there were now 9 people in front of me and I had to wait until 1pm. They completely disregarded my presence and felt that it isn't the apple spirit. read more

Customer service is pretty bad. I Walked right past a greeter who was ignoring everyone walking in . Then I was directed back to the greeter who was then to engaged in staring at another worker who was actually helping a customer to realize he had customers waiting for him. This dude blatantly ignored another customer and I as if we were not worthy of his time. I was only there to pickup an item I had already paid for online, but left feeling like maybe I should have picked it up from another store. Now there were these two kids wearing blue t-shirts who were busy talking to themselves who didn't seem to like being disturbed with a question about a product. I guess, the manager needs to send the kids to some "customer service" training. I gave the two stars for the two guys wearing the red t-shirts. I had use Apple products for many years and I never had any problem with them, so I never been to the Apple Genius Bar. Until lately my Iphone 4 broke down and I needed help to fix it. I was not happy with the service at all. The "genius" looked at my phone and assumed I replaced the screen and that was why the phone broke down, but I never replace it. He took it to the back and came out with a new phone and said I can swap it. He opened it and let my hope went up, but then he turned around and said: Sorry, your sim tray did not match with the system, can't swap it. Wth? You said I can swap to a new phone, then said No right after. He told me to bring back the right sim tray then he'll let me swap. I asked him how can I tell which sim tray is for which phone, he said I DON'T KNOW. What? You are working for Apple and considered a "genius", you don't even know then how can I know. I walked out right away. The whole time he was acting like I stole then phone or did something to it. I hoped there would be some kind of survey to let them know about my experience. read more

First visit ever to an Apple store and likely to be the last. On 9/29/15 I called this Apple ahead of time to see if they have a SIM card tray because my new iPhone 5c somehow didn't come with a "sim card popper" and I kind of damage it while installing the sim card. It took like ten rings before a rep answer and I asked if they had any in stock and how much was it. She replied, we have them and to just come buy and they (Apple) would replace it. I asked how much was it and she oh they will just replace it for free. Came in waited in line, and said I had to make an appointment and the wait was an hour and a half. Stupid me should of left then and there. Walked around the mall for an hour and half like a dumbass, and finally got a text to go back to the store. Had to wait in line again even though I have an appointment. Finally got to see a specialist and told him about my situation. He told me that I would have to pay 8 dollars for a measly plastic sim card tray which was free of charge according to rep over the phone. So, then come his lead which was the most thoughtless customer rep I ever seen just gave me this death stare with his measly green eyes and wouldn't give two hoots of what I had to say or what my situation was and basically called me a liar. How the hell did this prick became the lead? I thought Apple customer service was top notch and cared for it's customers. After this horrid experience I would never step foot in an Apple store or buy any of there products. read more

Awesome experience with Daniel! I sent my husband last week to get my MacBook Pro looked at because it wasn't working. He was told the video card was out and they suggested a new computer over it being fixed. We went and bought a new one and returned to the store to have my files transferred over. Daniel immediately came over and sold us the cable that we needed to do the transfer and walked us through exactly how to do it. We sat down and plugged it all in and he did some research to only find out that there is a recall on my original macbook and set us up with an appointment so we could see if it was covered. He checked on us multiple times while we waited for our appointment and low and behold, it was covered!!! We sent it to get fixed and he returned the cable for us because it wasn't working with my old computer, he even brought out a cable that worked just fine. It's hard to find honest customer service who don't try and upsell things just to make a sale, he truly went above and beyond and made sure we left happy! Thank you daniel!! read more

What a bunch of incompetent staff they have there. I am so furious with how today went. I showed up at the store at 11:15am and needed to have my laptop looked at. I check in at the "genius" bar and the girl checks me in and says the wait will be less than an hour. She sends me a text to show I am in line. I went and had lunch and then sat at the food court waiting for my text saying it is my turn. After over an hour I decide to go see how much longer. The same girl sees me and comes right over. I told her I haven't gotten a text. She looked a little rattled and then hems and haws around and says they were really busy. But it was now my turn and to go sit against the wall next to the bar. Then she goes and tips off the next girl, who comes over and says it will be soon, just 2 people ahead of me. Now we are at a hour and a half. I am seeing people that checked in after me getting helped. Finally it is my turn. The guy that helped me was nice, but didn't seem to really have a clue what was wrong with my computer. His estimate was $832 but I had a warranty. He said it would be ready in 3 to 5 days and they would call me on my cell with a update. I had many other errands and didn't get back home until 6pm and then fixed and ate dinner. After dinner I fired up my old computer and low and behold I have a e-mail from these idiots that my computer was ready to be picked up at 3:30pm. This is at 8:30pm!!! Not a call or text from them. Now I have to wait until 10am to go get it and then go into work. This is such crap. read more

Let me start by stating that I am technologically challenged. I was pretty much terrified to enter the Apple Store, from the outside it has always looked overwhelming and packed with people that actually know what their looking at. I had a weird issue occur with my iPhone and was directed to the Apple store by my wireless carrier. I made an appointment hoping I wouldn't have to wait for long in what I deemed a horrible environment. My service consultant was Stephanie DelaCruz; I received the most outstanding customer service from her and her co-workers! She was extremely patient with me, never made me feel inferior our dumb for not knowing a lot about my own phone and what it could do. She patiently walked me through setting up my cloud, as I was concerned about losing all my pictures while trying to troubleshoot the issue with my phone. I liked that she didn't do it for me but rather kindly talked me through each step ensuring I had set it up correctly and was able to transfer my pictures. I would recommend utilizing that amazing customer care specialist at the Apple store to assist you with any and all of your Apple needs. I truly appreciated the attentiveness and service with a positive attitude and a smile. read more

This store is small but I have never had a problem like the one I experienced today. Apparently kids are asked to leave if they are unaccompanied by their parental unit. Well my oldest, who is in middle school, took his little sister there for a few minutes while I ran into the nearby LensCrafters. When I came back they were sitting on the bench outside. My kids, who love Apple products, and will normally ask to visit the store just to browse and play on the iPads were asked by an employee to leave the store because it was "crowded," and they were unaccompanied by a parent. I thought, well if they're trying lessen the crowd -- having us, two more parents there would make it worse. I have let my kids visit this store before and it has NEVER been a problem. They are not rowdy and would not cause a problem. When asked to leave they complied. When I asked an employee about this she said was not aware of any policy of kids not being allowed in the store without a parent. A manager came out and as I explained what happened she seemed surprised too. I told her my kids were not being rowdy or causing a problem but an employee had asked them to leave. She said there was no such policy and apologized but this incident was hard for me to stomach since we spend so much darn money on Apple products and they really are trying to appeal to kids and break into the education market. To her credit she did say she would speak to that employee if we could point him out. However my kids were embarrassed by this incident and could only say he was a male with dark hair. I would bring my business elsewhere -- another Apple store, bigger with, hopefully, no rogue employees making strange and arbitrary rules. read more

i give them 1 star for talking very kindly, but the way they treat walk- in customer is awful. i came here at 6 pm and they said i have to wait 2 hours to get my phone fixed. i came back at 7 because i have nowhere to go. after 30 mins, a lady came talk to me and she is going to get the charger for me. then, she walked to the next person without giving me anything. i was thinking that she may forgot about it, so i walked to the guy who works there and asked for the charger. he said there's noone free right now to get the charger for me, all of them are busy. i look around and see a lot of their employees standing for nothing. i wasn't expect them to fix my phone but just get me the charger which is hiding under the table. it takes them 2mins to get the charger or it's ok that they just point their fingers to the charger and i will get it myself because i told them my phone's battery drain out really fast and it take forever to recharge. still, no one comes to give me the charger. i don't know how much time i wasted here. it has been 45 mins sinced the lady came back and plugged the charger, and i had spent another 15 mins to wait for the "lady's charger". i am still waiting for the phone to turn on hopelessly. i have heard from my friends that it takes a whole day waiting at the store if i need it to fix. so i never wish to be at apple store til my phone can not fixed by myself. it's "my fault " that the phone ran out of battery before i get to the store. i even don't want to place an order at the store because it take a century to get. apple seems just hire people for selling their stuff, but not for helping around at all!!!! read more
