Came in the store today, the manager Bernadette Had a disgusting attitude. Before I even had a chance to open my mouth to greet her with a smile she was already rolling her eyes at me. I Had an issue with a trade in due to their internally defective diagnostic software. Was told my iPhone 14 was worth 0$ due to it being "tampered with" which is impossible because it was purchased from apple and used by me for 5 months. - the phone was new ! Bernadette had the audacity to shew me away like I was garbage telling me "go to another Apple Store" "you are not welcome here." Absolutely disgusting attitude All I asked was if there maybe an issue with her equipment, her remark was "don't tell me how to do my job." Apple hires just about anyone of the streets to positions like "manager" incompetent ! Get off your high horse Bernadette you are a sleazy sales clerk at an Apple Store inside a mall, not the CEO of the entire company.

Went in to get my AirPods replaced after they started malfunctioning. I made an appointment and was immediately assigned to Adam. He took his time troubleshooting them and making the right assessments. Even when the store got super hectic, he maintained a clear line of communication between me and the other folks he was helping simultaneously and made sure all of our needs were met. It took about an hour but I left with a brand new set of AirPods. I needed a case that was more durable than the one I currently had and Adam introduced me to Sam who helped me to pick out a snazzy sports one with strings that allow me to secure it on my bag or belt loop for easy access. Customer service was top tier, appointment was easy to navigate and wait time was appropriate. Small wins!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER -- I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!…read more I brought my laptop to Micro Center because one hinge had come loose from the back cover, but when I dropped it off, the laptop was still together and the screen was working perfectly. I was told they needed to take it apart a little to determine how it could be repaired. When I went back to pick it up, I was shocked to see that both hinges had been removed and the LCD was literally hanging from a wire. This is NOT the way I brought my laptop in. Then I was told that the only way they could fix it was to replace the entire LCD assembly, which would cost $395 PLUS tax, on top of the $50 diagnostic fee. That would have been a very expensive repair for what I originally brought the laptop in for. I was also extremely disappointed with the customer service. I felt like I wasn't given a clear explanation as to why both hinges had to be removed or why replacing the entire LCD assembly was supposedly the only solution. The staff was not friendly or helpful, and I left feeling extremely frustrated. I decided to take my laptop to a local laptop repair shop for a second opinion. They looked at it and told me that I did NOT need to replace the entire LCD assembly. They said they could replace just the cover and repair it for $190. I'm very glad I didn't agree to Micro Center's repair. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before spending hundreds of dollars here. I dropped off my laptop with it still assembled, and I got it back with both hinges removed and the screen hanging by a wire. Extremely disappointed with how my laptop was handled and with the customer service I received. I would not recommend this place.

And even calling it a bookstore is misleading, because it also sells NYU shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and other NYU paraphernalia. Regarding computers, I have noticed that the prices are competitive with other retailers, and when I once purchased RAM for a computer, it was actually cheaper. You will probably get better prices online, but if you need something computer-related immediately, you should check this place out. Textbooks, however... Well, as my dad says, "that's how they get ya'!" They are way overpriced at any university. Unfortunately, the Barnes & Noble on 5th Avenue and 17th St., which used to have decent prices on textbooks, is no more. I loved going there as an undergrad and grad student and saving a few bucks. If you are a NYU student, you are probably stuck getting your textbooks here, unless you shop for them on Amazon or something. On the other hand, you can rent textbooks at this bookstore. I have never rented a textbook before, so I can't say anything about it. There is a regular bookstore, and the prices there are decent. They also sell classics at a discount for $3-$6. The clothing section is pretty good, and the prices aren't bad. Depending on what you get, items can vary from $15 (t-shirt) to $70 or so. They used to have a cafe, but unfortunately they closed it down. However, it is a nice place to visit, especially if you want to pick up an NYU shirt.
