Do NOT buy the screen protectors. First one cracked and shattered within 24 hours. After much debate and attitude, replaced on premises. Now, less than 30 days later, the replacement has cracked. I came in to the store yesterday to check out the new air pods pros. It was pretty busy inside, but when I walked over to look at the air pods and headphones. I was instantly approached by Jeff. He was very knowledgeable and was able to help me so much! He even let me try them on and test them out so I could see how the felt in my ears compared to the original AirPods that I currently have. Awful awful experience. Do not patronize this holier than thou location. I went in because I had purchased a brand new iPad Pro 30 days ago. It somehow developed a stress fracture shaped like a faint Y. It was NEVER dropped, hit, scratched, or otherwise mishandled, and has been in a case ever since purchase. The jerks at the store told me I'd be responsible for $450 charge to repair. I am 100% certain this is a manufacturing defect. This is about the 6th iPad between myself and my family. If I had thrown it on the ground and it shattered I would understand. But to have had a $1000 device for less than a month and be treated like a punk when I came in, and insulted with the suggestion that it's somehow MY fault.....didn't get to talk to Genius Bar because the guy at the front said it would be pointless as I would hear the same answer. I was even told, if the crack was a straight line instead of a Y shape, I could help you. As if I had control over ANY of this. I think the Apple company knows people will buy their overpriced crap regardless, and customer service doesn't matter. This is a DEFECTIVE product and I am being penalized for being stupid enough to buy it. No guarantee, no warranty, no customer service whatsoever. Defective from the manufacturer? Too bad. YOUR fault for believing in Apple. ******Update****** Because of another review that I read on yelp, I tried calling the 1-800 number and had an entirely different experience. I did have to wait about 20 minutes for someone to come on the line. But this person was able to assist me and is going to ship me a brand new iPad to replace my cracked one and reassured me that my situation is clearly a warranty issue and should have been handled more properly at the store. He did not have an explanation for why store personnel at this location are not handling warranty issues effectively. Not so pleasant, I went in for an issue on my iCloud account. They did not listen to what I said, and the man that helped me said he was so sure it was the issue with my phone, after the reboots and reset everything and I spent 2 hours there, it was not done and they are closing so I got home, waited one more hour, downloading everything back on, and the issue still not solved. I think they should be more helpful by listening what the customers said instead of just doing without thinking. I spent almost three hours for nothing. Definitely a big waste of time. read more

TAKING A BITE OF THAT APPLE! I so appreciate this store being in Avalon because I was never even attempted to enter the store at North Point because it was always crowded and tended to be more of a teen hangout. I love the clean look and accessible displays that allow me to go in and freely explore the items of interest. Although interested in a computer, I really enjoyed looking at the other products as well, such as the watches and headphones. This is the perfect store for those who are not tech-savvy and need to know the best product for the specific task at hand. There were plenty of employees floating around and available to answer my questions. I love their line of watches because they are diverse and they are actually very attractive with changeable bands including leather and stainless mesh. However, I find that they simply have way too much going on and I chose my fitness watch based on the fact that it looks like a watch, (not a fitbit) and has exactly what I need and nothing more. I just don't like unnecessary extras that get in the way. I don't follow trends or labels but I do appreciate quality and that is why I am now looking at Apple for my next computer. I simply want a reliable product and visiting this store allowed me to explore the available options and start to narrow my preferences. This Apple store is just GORGEOUS!!! In the heart of avalon with wall to wall windows, it is just bright, airy, and a happy place! I ordered an iMac to be picked up the same day. Right when I walked through the door I was greeted and then assigned a specialist. He was super nice and knowledgable and asked me helpful questions and gave helpful answers. I went to this Apple Store because an old iPhone 5 that my kids used would not charge. They ran their diagnostics and told me it was a battery problem and they could order a replacement for $50. I asked what to do with the old phone and they told me to throw it away. A week later I got an email from the store telling me that my new iPhone was ready. When I showed up they asked me where my old phone was and I told them that I threw it away because their employee told me to dispose of it. They said they couldn't give me the replacement phone without the old phone and there was nothing they could do but I could buy an iPhone 8 for 500 bucks. I don't mind paying a premium for Apple products. But I expect better service. read more

The store at Avalon is a glass box, so it is pretty to look at from the outside. However technical service is terrible. I waited about 1/2 hour from the time I came in (at the exact time of my service appointment) before the battery in my I-Phone was tested and an order to replace the battery for $79 was written up. Although I was told the battery would be replaced in 1 hour and 45 minutes, which is a plenty long time for a simple battery replacement, it took another 15 minutes during which I was given several excuses, none of which made sense. When I asked why my phone was still not ready, I was treated rudely - the explanation was that they were doing the best that they could. I was falsely told that the phone required more time to replace a battery since it was on the Sprint network. Moving the store to Avalon from Northpoint mall makes it more difficult to use the store. The parking garage for Avalon is far from the Apple Store. Avalon is an open-air center with no coffee shop near the Apple store so while waiting the customer has to go out into the cold or heat or rain to find a restaurant to wait in. Next time I will go to a Best Buy or independent Apple service center. Apple makes the best phones but this store has the worst service. read more

Went to have my iMac hard drive replaced since it crashed a little over 2 weeks ago. Service went well, price was ok for new replacement drive, but all went south when I went to pick the computer up. These folks had the audacity to proceed to tell me that in order for me to get the broken original hard drive back from them, I had to pay an extra $98. How absurd! The attendant tried to tell me it is like when you buy a part for a car, you pay a lower price for the part and that the core old part off sets the cost of the new part. The most ignorant thing I've ever heard. Then she proceeds to tell me that they destroy all the old hard drives. In that case why can't I just have the old unit that belonged to me since I purchased it with the computer? What a racket. My guess is they don't destroy the drives, they pirate the information off of them like all tech companies do to track your personal info and where you go for advertisement and purposes. What a crock of crap! last time I go to a apple store! But what is the real truth is they don't care. They sell millions if apple products every year. i've been to apple stores all over the country, and around the world! apple of avalon is probably the worst apple store on the list! like a lot of reviewers said in their reviews, bad attitude, bad genius support, lack of help and understanding. OH they were right! These people are not nice. Terrible experience happened here twice! First time battery issue with my iphone, the genius rep tries to make you feel like an idiot, terribly rude and dosen't want to help, bring up the issue to the manager not much of a help tells me will looking to this matter, but the phone issues dosent get solved. Customer satisfaction first huh? I dont think so, at least not here. Thank goodness there are other APPLE STORES in the area that treats their customers the way they should be treated. and took care of the issue with great help! Second bad experience with this store, i should blame myself for stepping in here even trying to purchase something again, bought a brand new case for my iphone, transaction was good, everything smooth, walk to my car then notices the case inside the packaging looks used with scuff marks on 2 edges. They try to act like, apple cannot sell damaged or used stuff, it just dosent happen, it was brand new how can this happen! So today I tried to go to the apple store to have my 2015 Mac book pro battery replaced (since there was a recall placed on the batteries). I arrived around 1:30, which was the time I had made my reservation for, and I stood around for 5 minutes waiting for one of the apple employees to become free so I could check in. After I saw one of the employees become available for me to go talk to I started walking toward the employee. While walking toward him he made eye contact with me and the expression on his face turned to one of annoyance and essentially conveyed to me the message he didn't feel like dealing with me. After dealing with the employee and checking in I proceeded to wait another 15 minutes which made me wonder what's even the point of having a reservation system. Finally after around 20 minutes of being in the store waiting to be assisted another employee walks toward me and the first thing he does is look at my girlfriends chest. After explaining the situation and what we were attempting to accomplish with our visit (the entire time the short pig of a man couldn't keep his eyes of my girlfriends chest) he essentially told me that my visit was a waste of time and that I'd have to come back at a later date because the battery I had in the laptop might not be the correct battery since I had the battery replaced twice prior to my visit. Even though I'm the recall it stated that if I had the battery replaced prior to my visit to apple it wouldn't be an issue as long as it was the correct kind of battery. The repair shop I had taken my Mac book to replaced my battery with the correct apple battery and I went back to the repair shop after my horrible experience at apple and they litterally showed me the battery and showed me that it was the correct battery for the kind of Mac book I had. So long story short this short pig of a man at apple with his neck beard and beady eyes wasted my time and the entire time was more interested in the cleavage of my girlfriend than with assisting me with his companies screw up. DONT TAKE YOUR WIFE OR DAUGHTERS TO APPLE IF YOU DONT WANT THEM TO BE VISUALLY UNDRESSED BY DISGUSTING MEN WORKING THERE. read more

We came in this morning to set up a new iPhone. The associate who helped us didn't get everything transferred over to the new phone and told us to go home and restore it from the computer we backed it up on. Once we were home, we had some issues with encryption and couldn't recover any pictures or contacts, so we went back up to the store. The second time around, we were helped by an associate named Chad. He explained everything to us, helped us wipe the new phone, back up the old phone to iCloud, and restore the new phone with the new back up, very simple. The first associate didn't help us with the iCloud, something I wish she would have mentioned so we wouldn't have had to make another trip to Avalon. Chad definitely saved the day, he was extremely patient and nice! read more

This place is horrible. They cancelled my Mac appointment because I'm 5 mins late. Yes, being late is my responsibility and I have no problems about the cancelation. However, they spent the first 25 mins just talking and doing nothing when I was on my iPhone appointment and I had to wait for 2 hours. That's definitely a no and I walked away. Besides, they asked if I want to trade in my phone for $250, what kinda moron would say yes when people spent $700 on a new iPhone but a sell back is only third of the price, even the parts are worth more. Just because one Apple a day keeps doctor away doesn't mean people are that stupid. But maybe we are stupid that's why a new iPhone is $1000 now. We let them do that. read more

When you call this store you get a robot response, you have to provide the serial number on the device you need assistance with, after that; iWaited on the phone for 15 minutes without somebody picking up. At that point I researched my dilema on my own. Iphones now update and change the interface and use-ability 100% you used to normally open the phone and go to home page. Now, you instead get CNN newsfeeds, and celebrity gossip and a bunch of useless ad-ons that are un-needed, the new operating system I was forced to get even has a weaker flashlight! I will be switching to android once this phone dies out. read more

you all have probably heard about Apple offering to exchange batteries on 6 & 6s phones because Apple downloaded software without permission, on your phone which slows down the processor to extend battery life. Apple received such negative flash back on this that they are offering to exchange the battery for $25 instead of $75. Why am I not surprised that when I called in for support to schedule an appointment for my 6 & 6s I was told that neither phone qualified for the promotion. I asked to speak to a supervisor and after waiting for over 15 minutes finally got to speak to one. Supervisor said promotion doesn't start until the end of January. Then he proceeded to tell me how my apps are draining my battery and it isn't necessarily the battery that is bad. He lead me to believe that when/if I brought my phone in the end of January it will be the discretion of the technician on whether your battery is old and needs replacement. I just wasted almost 45 minutes to get nowhere! My next purchase is going to be a Galaxy. Apple has become to full of themselves! read more

Second time in the Apple Store and the experience was awesome. Sat down for my appointment time and looked around and thought to myself..I'm going to be here forever. Wrong! Within twenty minutes I had met with a rep, given up my phone and walked over to Whole Foods. Came back a little earlier but my phone wasn't ready so I was in awe of all the scanning that was going on by the employees. EVERYONE was polite and kind. No generation downtalk was going on. Honestly the worst experience ever! I was waiting 2 hours to get my phone fixed because my screen is apparently defective (iPhone X) they even did the diagnostics test and said it was in fact apples problem and said it was common with these phones and that was why my phone was glitching, After that they finally came to get it and made me back everything up with their SLOW WiFi which disconnected my back up 3 times! They brought back my phone 2 minutes later and said oh your phone has water damage we can't repair the screen even if it's Apple's problem your phone is not working!!! That is ridiculous!!! Why would that not be the NUMBER ONE thing they check if it's such a problem?? And my phone just started doing it yesterday and I have been no where near water with my phone!! Horrible customer service! I bought a mac book pro. I was double charged for my purchase. When I brought it to the attention of the managers Darius and Kristy, they could care less. They acted as if I was bothering them! because of this attitude, I decided to cancel my order. 4 days later, the 2 charges are still pending. I again called the Avalon apple store and spoke to the general manager Elizabeth. After explaining about spending all Sunday dealing with over $2500 worth of erroneous charges and the terrible customer service. Elizabeth stated that she couldn't understand why I was so upset, her exact words "Are you experiencing some sort of financial hardship?" Went to this store with my dad's broken Apple Watch just to get the screen replaced. I knew I'd likely wait a while since I was a walk-in (fine). When the greeter at the door asked what I needed I told him 1. I need the screen replaced on this broken watch. 2. ITS NOT MINE, its my dad's. 3. HE HAS APPLE CARE. He told me he'd text me in 30-35 minutes when they were ready for me. I needed to go to another store so I walked to the other side of the Avalon, only to get a text that they were ready for me EIGHT MINUTES later. Walked all the way back. Then sat in the store for 30 minutes ANYWAY before they got to me. A woman came by and took all my details. Told her the same things. When the technician came he told me the Watch needed to be unpaired from the iPhone (no one else could have told me this while I waited? both knew this wasn't my watch) before he could do anything for me. I tried to get a hold of my dad, but couldn't. The tech told me he'd have to close my appt and have me come back. I asked if there was any way he could send it off and have I'll have it unpaired within a couple hours. He said no, I have to come back for another appointment. I wandered around the avalon until my I could get my dad to unpair it, went back to the store and talked to a different greeter. He told me there was a long wait but I can just send the stupid thing in the mail!!! SINCE HE HAS APPLE CARE. And, that it would take 2-3 days versus a week from the store! In summary, this store single handedly wasted three hours of my life, and it took four people until someone told me the easy way to get this done. I'm giving two stars solely for the fourth man who actually knew how to do his job. I should have been told by the first two people to make sure the watch was unpaired, and all three people should have told me I could send it in the mail, get it back in half the time, and not have to wait at all. Thoroughly annoyed with this store and will be avoiding it at all costs. You should too. read more
