I had an appointment on Friday to get my battery replaced for $89, sounds easy right? In and out. I got there 10 mins before my appointment time, waited another 10 mins to be seen. I only wanted my battery replaced. I have iPhone 11 Pro, I know it's old. I don't have the funds to get newer phone. Ashley was my technician, she said with older phone it's best to get newer phone. She was nice and polite. She gave me options on the phones I could get with trade in. I asked if I could just my battery replaced. She said it could cost $89 or $500 something because it's older phone. I left after that. That crap just pissed me off like wtf. I got it done in one of those phone stands in the mall couple feet away for $60. Easy. read more

Applecare customer service made me an appointment to this store for an express replacement for my ipad. Arrived on time to this location. The lady who assisted me took at least 15 minutes to realize that, oh you have an applecare warranty! In short, she was clueless on how to help me and instead, asked me, you were here about a year ago, what kind of service was done to your ipad? She was explaining to me different terms that was work related as being a technician. I requested to talk to the Manager, which turned out to be BS also, explaining to me that an applecare service and an applecare store are two different entity! What I told him towards the end was, "I was just sent here with an appointment and I don't deserve this", only at that point that he said sorry. I asked for his together with the clueless lady, for me to file a formal complaint. He said his name was Daniel, gave me a business card of that store and manually wrote down an 800 number to call to file a complant. He said he will send me an email with his full name and with the ladys name. I have not received that message from him. What a cover up. THE WORST! In short, I had a phone that went haywire. I thought it was the battery (and in retrospect, still think it might have been) but after diagnostics were run, I was told I needed a new phone and that for them (Apple Store) to get hold of a 16 plus phone would take a week or possibly two. Phone was still under warranty as I bought this phone less than a year ago. Honestly, there have been small, strange glitches with this phone since I purchased it and I should have brought it back in for diagnostics the day after I purchased it. C'est la vie! In any case, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a new phone (17 plus) and trade in the old one. 5 sales people/help people/Genius Bar people later AND, I kid you not.... 4 hours later.... (even though I had an appointment with the Genius Bar, they didn't get to helping me for an entire HOUR after my appointment time), I finally walked out of the store with a new set-up phone. In addition to all of this, there were easily 100 customers in the store. Talk about auditory overload!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Literally, it was WALL-TO-WALL people, AND THEY HAVE NOT HIRED ENOUGH PEOPLE IN GENERAL TO ASSIST EVERYONE, AND THE PEOPLE THEY HAVE HIRED (at least 3 out of the 5 I dealt with) WERE MOSTLY INCOMPETENT!!!!! Moreover, one woman in particular who was supposed to help people at the "new equipment" table (there were 12 people at this table, all trying to set up their new devices) was particularly obnoxious in addition to all the other trials this store presented. She is mid-twenties, mid-length quite curly light brown hair, and blue eyes. She was the ONLY person there to help 12 people who had just dropped huge dollars for their new devices! Unfortunately, I did not catch her name. BUT OMG! She was very unhelpful. She could not stop talking about HERSELF and her own computer experiences and her family's computer experiences, all in a very dramatic fashion! It was like she was acting out a script she wrote for herself. Definitely think she wants to be an actress, LOL. The whole experience was horrific. read more

I had such a great experience with Celine today. Im slowly converting from Samsung everything to apple. *Bending the knee to the apple. So I was nervous and not sure how to navigate the apple universe and Celine was so patient and knowledgeable and encouraging in the best ways. Making my decades long android/PC world defecting more manageable I really appreciated how thorough and concise she was as well as sweet. If you are making a purchase you'll be seen fast. If you are there for technical support you might get a knowledgeable tech that solves your issue. You might get one that upsells. We were told since their diagnostic test couldn't execute the unit needed replacement and the pictures were toast, and they would not send it for further testing. $125 later at a repair shop it's all fixed; a capacitor. read more

We had great conversations and they were very helpful checking stock for accessories for my phone and the phone itself. Their customer service was excellent and i really felt like they wanted me to have a great experience getting a new phone. 10/10 experience and i will be coming back. There wasn't a wait and team members were very quick at engaging with me once i walked in the store. We had a very good experience here. We came on a late Monday morning. We were immediately greeted & assisted by a young man who was friendly & made our interaction very comfortable. We had questions that he answered in a very understandable way. Nothing was pushy or rushed. He provided us with purchasing options, money saving options, & rather than give an unnecessary spiel, he would ask if we wanted to hear more information about different topics. The information he did provide was helpful. He handled our purchase there & helped with putting in an order for pick up at another location for an item they didn't have in stock. Yesterday was the second time I've made an appointment for the same iPhone issue. The young man assigned to help was actually NO help at all. He barely listened to my issue...never actually looked at me as he was busy looking at HIS phone...he did no testing, but after listening to me for about 1 minute...said he understood what's going on and either it's a software issue or I need a new phone. I was waiting for someone to answer my questions regarding a new purchase and no one acknowledged me. I asked for help from one of the Apple customer service people and he said there were 4 people ahead and to hang tight by the phone area. I ended up waiting over half an hour before someone came but was still told to wait by the iPhones. My advice to the store is to staff up as the second time I came back they said the person before me cancelled (prob due to long wait) and it led to a lot of frustration since young kids were with us and could not wait. read more

That was...painful. Went into the store to purchase the new iPhone Air. I'd just gotten the Apple credit card a few days prior, and their terms clearly state that you can finance the phone w/ it for 24 months, at 0% interest. Great...told them which color I wanted, and they brought it out. When it was time to pay, I made sure to tell him I was planning on doing the monthly installments. He looked at me and said "Oh, you need to be on one of our partner providers to do that." Here we go. This wasn't clearly stated anywhere on their site, or the credit card application. I very reluctantly told him I would look into switching over to Boost (the others being T-Mobile, Verizon & AT&T). He just shrugged. I left & was able to switch over fairly quickly, came back & had to wait in line AGAIN, and was finally able to check out. This time, the new Boost service wasn't being "found" in their system. Had to call Boost customer service to figure it out. The back-and-forth between Boost and the Apple employee took OVER AN HOUR, and by the end, it still wasn't resolved. The employee was now convincing me to swap over to yet another carrier. He told me I could do it right then & there. Why wasn't I told that in the very beginning w/ Boost? Annoyed at this point, I told him to just do T-Mobile to get it over w/. Was finally able to get the phone w/ financing and immediately canceled the T-Mobile service after leaving the store. The phone wasn't locked to the carrier, since it literally HAD NOTHING TO DO w/ Apple or its financing. Clearly, Apple gets some sort of cut for getting people signed up w/ these providers, but it's all just ridiculous & unnecessarily frustrating. The good news is that I discovered Boost is actually cheaper than my previous carrier, so thanks for playing a part in that, Apple! read more

Apple customer service could not be worse if they tried. My phone has been damaged for a month. I'm not sure what Apple care is for but my poor genius was doing everything to help me with a hardware issue on my second visit despite my first genius telling me it was support issue. Contacted support who told me to go to the store again weeks later and at least this guy tried and his manager was rude condescending and totally indifferent. The insurance is a scam since they can't work on my phone from support or in store. Regardless of what I still have to pay on top of the phone and insurance and repairs that I tried since Apple refused to repair or help me in any way. Obviously a mismanaged system that even the genius said was terrible. They left me with a broken phone I've already overpaid to repair, a subscription for insurance that obviously does nothing, a customer support line that you have to go through multiple people telling you the most basic things, and they will fully lie to get you off the phone or out of the store. The employees at this store have been completely downgraded recently. I've been going to this store for years and I've always had a positive experience, except yesterday when I had an appointment to get a replacement AirPod. The employees were talking to each other the entire time, I had to wait for them to finish talking about their weekend plans for me to ask them to check me in. After they check me in, I had to wait an additional 30 minutes just to ask several employees what's taking so long and they all had a were so rude and mean to me when I ask how much longer I'm supposed to wait for my appointment. So I wait a couple more minutes until I finally asked a guy with a long beard (the only person in the store who didn't have an attitude and wasn't a complete a-hole) about what's happening to my appointment and he tells me that my appointment was cancelled.... read more

Ray (the manager) was SO helpful, patient, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to help me with my dead phone. It was a hopeless situation because my phone kept over heating and dying. However, Ray would keep swinging by me and stepping in to have technicians help me. In addition, Enrique kindly helped me with purchasing a new phone, helped me with obtaining information for my new phone and assisting me every step of the way. I went here to help my mom buy a new Apple Watch. It was a surprisingly emotional experience as she was getting it after a car crash wherein we lost my dad and she broke every limb including her spine and neck. She needed the watch for fall detection and the staff member who helped us was just so utterly empathetic all while staying so positive. I checked in at 10 AM and by the time I left the store it was 2 o'clock. I had an appointment time set for 12:30 but showed up early in the hopes that somebody would be able to help me as that time no longer worked. The manager was very sweet and checked me in early and gave me updates as far as how long it would take. Both Genius Bar technicians, I worked with, gave their full effort and took time in trying to figure out what was wrong with my laptop. I didn't catch names other than Holly. John was kind enough to give me a demo of the Apple Vision Pro. It blew me away I said oh my God why haven't people all try this there was no pushing and trying to sell the item to me. It literally sells itself. It was amazing and for the price a little high, but so are all Apple items, but I saw things and did things that I could never have done in one day. I traveled all over the place. It was beautiful, breathtaking scary, and everything all at once. I feel that everyone must try this. Thank you, John. Wow, what a terrible store! I went to buy a computer for my spouse. I knew what I wanted, I just needed someone to sell it to me. When I came in a young man acknowledged me and said that he would help me next, in a few minutes. I wandered around the store for ten minutes until he was done. As I approached him, an unpleasant young woman approached and said that he couldn't help me, that he had to help someone else. She then said that there were multiple people in front of me, meaning a 30-45 minute wait. Never mind that I had already been waiting ten minutes. Never mind that if she had talked to me and put me in the queue when I came in there would have been fewer people in front of me . She was rude and nasty about it, with an attitude that we were lucky she deigned to even speak to us. Obviously I just left at that point. It is an absolute nightmare going into this store every time. You get a different answer from each employee. Dropped my phone off for a battery repair was told to just come back in an hour. And my screen protector would be replaced for free. I come back this rude lady tells me I can't pickup my phone without my id and to walk back to my car. Yea no I was not told that and I'm not walking almost a mile back to my car. Then my screen protector was not replaced and they broke it on my phone. After a terrible experience at Arden fair Apple, I decided to go make my purchase for a Mac computer at the Roseville location hoping to get better service. Upon arriving, I was ignored by the employees as multiple groups of employees were standing around chatting while I waited around to buy my Mac. After 45 minutes to an hour, right before I was going to leave, they approached me and sold me the computer. I raised my concern about the lack of customer service and being hawked by security but was dismissed. I was told they would contact me for more info but did not. Excellent Service from Michael who assisted me in researching on the Sale , Warranty and Insurance of my Ipencil which stopped charging ; making it no longer useable; software updates may have disabled the glitch that made it work for a while . We were able to get a 50% discount to buy an IpencilPro that will work with my latest edition of the IPad Air after he negotiated on our behalf as loyal Apple consumers. read more
