I couldn't believe how nice she was and how knowledgeable she was. I bought an IPhone earlier in the year and had a young guy for a salesman. He was the coldest most useless person ever. His answer to every thing I asked him was I can't do that. He then told me to go to Verizon if I needed help. Iana should be teaching training classes to do sales in that store. Went to get some diagnostics done on my phone but that's mostly irrelevant to this review. I was "helped" by Bernard (yes I'm name dropping and I don't care). Not only did he seem like he didn't want to be there, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was hungover. Barely a hello and smile. He asks me "we're going to need to open your phone." I'm like "what why?" He tries unlocking my phone and says "yea we need to open it" I'm like "oh you mean unlock it" Who the F says open the phone when they mean unlock? My audio doesn't work during calls so I legitimately thought he was literal. Everything else went okay. Like I said entire demeanor was bad and he now thinks I'm an idiot cuz I should've known what "open the phone" means. This clown finishes his diagnostic and is already walking away and tells me I'll get an email. It's been over an hour now and still haven't received an email. I was walking around the mall and decided to get a copy of my diagnostic report and they happily printed it for me. I love the convenience of being able to go there for repairs, with so few apple stores, it's a blessing. There is always a wait, I expect that and I am a patient person. I feel a little bad leaving this review because I know things are difficult, but this might be one of the most disappointing Apple Stores I've ever been in. Before I get to the service issues, let's me just say that the store shows a total lack of care. It's a mess. Cables hanging down from tables, tables all over the place and not even slightly lined up. It looked like dirt had been ground into the tile floor. Product on the shelves was faced and aligned, but I bet that's only because so few people are shopping nowadays. If it looks like you don't care about your own store, why would I trust you to care about me and the computer o buy from you? For context, I went in with a friend while they were having their phone serviced, and I think the tech made the right call and that they were pleasant enough. However, the tech asked nearly no questions after the initial problem was described. I understand they have diagnostic tools, but the whole idea of Apple techs is to "repair the relationship" and make you fee heard and understood no matter how the repair resolves. The tech did not do that. They also quoted that the phone was less than a month out of warranty as a reason to not cover the repair. Now, I don't think the repair should have been covered anyways, but these are COVID times. People don't want to go into the store if they don't have to, and I know my friend delayed their appointment as long as possible. If businesses can ask for slack and understanding because "they're trying their hardest during these *uncertain times*", I expect the same in return. read more

Had a couple issues with my keys and made an appointment with the genius bar to get it fixed. I first took it to a retailer and they were not so helpful, but the kind people at the genius bar were able to take a look, give me some advice as well as a free (temporary) fix. Here's why the five-stars: 1) With the appointment, there was virtually no wait. 2) Aside from fixing the keys that needed fixing, they did some preventative maintenance on some of the other keys. 3) The whole experience was great from top to bottom - would definitely recommend, just be sure to make an appointment ahead of time! read more

Went to this store to try to get my computer and phone fixed. They said my computer was vintage and recommended me to go to a different apple authorized store (they should have said this before signing me up on the waiting list). Also, they were really pushy trying to convince me to buy new products. For my phone, I went to repair my iPhone 6S bc of damage and all they said was to buy a new one. I like apple products bc they last me longer than others. However, it seems that lately this company is only focused on selling rather than service. Why should I change my electronics when they can be repaired? Plus they come with a pricey tag too and I cannot keep up with changing my products every year. Is just not worth it. read more

We've been here a few times and it's okay. I'm not a fan, generally, of Apple stores in spite of having a number of Apple devices in our house. There's just something too cool about for me. But I digress. As far as Apple stores go, this one seems to be on par. It has a fair bit of space, though it does still get crowded. And they have lots of devices on display. Don't expect to get a ton of information. What I mean by this is: I went in at one point when I was considering switching from a PC to a Mac, but was also considering a Surface. The kid in the Microsoft Store was able to give me specs not just on his devices, but on other competitors as well. The girl in the Apple store seemed unprepared for someone who needed to be convinced about a Mac being the better choice. The staff is always friendly. A lot of them are young and clearly a bit unexperienced on the sales side, but also clearly doing their best to follow whatever sales protocol they are given. They do a nice job of managing a lot of people coming in and we haven't had to wait too long even when it was busy. So, there you have it. An Apple skeptic and unwilling convert admitting that she does, in fact, like her Mac, that Air Drop is crazy cool, and that going to the Apple Store is not as painful as it might be. read more

What else can I say. I'm giving it an enormous (1) for being... (1) Hit and miss with the service. Some are super friendly, some are awful. (2) Crazy appointment system that essentially is harder to get into than many doctor's offices. (3) Insanely, horribly, crazy, ridiculously high prices. I walked into the Apple Store and they told me it would be about 20 minutes until someone could help me with the iPads. It was about a 4 minute wait. Perfect! I love not having to wait, who doesn't? Dan and Ace were very helpful, and they made the purchase of a 6th generation iPad quick and easy! This store is always busy. Came here because my daughters iPhone 7 wasn't receiving service and is unfortunately the model with the recall. Upon arrival with no appointment I felt taken care of and was told that I would receive a text message when they were ready for me. I walked down to New York and Company and by the time I got there I received a text. I went back to the store and was greeted. The person I was assigned to was finishing up with a customer which was ok. We walked through the phone and then determined it needed to be sent in for repair, she took on another customer and I had to keep interrupting them so that I could be finished up to leave. This review is based solely on customer service. My star rating is a 2.5. We walked into the store and there were three representatives standing in the front, not a single one of them greeted me. My party of four made eye contact and walked right in by. This felt weird to me. We walked into the store to buy the Apple Watch. Walked up to the Apple watch display and there was one staffer there attending to a customer. So we stood there waiting. Waiting patiently for almost ten minutes. Not sure why someone else couldn't come over to offer assistance but that's okay. When the Staffer was done with the customer she stood there, staring at everything else that was going on but us. This confuses me. Again, no greeting and we were standing at the same display no more than three feet away. This got me upset because we tried to make eye contact and she deliberately looked away. After waiting, and waiting. Sigh. She finally realized we weren't going anywhere. I was there to buy the Apple Watch and by the time someone noticed me, I was a little frustrated so all my responses to her were short. She asked me if I had any questions and I told her, "No, I'm tech savvy enough to figure it out, just the watch please." She could tell I was frustrated and finally stepped up to do her job. We paid right at the Apple Watch display through the iPhone, which was super quick and easy. Then she started to go into detail about the watch and my mood changed. After all, I was excited that my sons were buying me an Apple Watch for my birthday! So I played nice, she helped me connect my watch to my iPhone 6 and we left. Quite frankly, I don't ever want to go into this store again. I would prefer to order my electronics through the Apple app. I don't like to be ignored, especially when spending hundreds of dollars on something. $450 and I'm out! I booked an appointment to get my cracked iPhone screen repaired. I showed up on time, and when I was assigned to someone they ran some test and updated some info, then at the very end decided to check if my screen was in stock....it wasn't. I was upset that this wasn't checked in advanced, but I was most upset by the specialist response. She claims the store doesn't know the inventory and also couldn't tell me what's in stock to protect the safety of the staff....that makes no sense, because she just checked the inventory in front of me. So now I know you're store is out of iPhone screens and I guess your staffs Saftey is at risk. There's just no respect for the buyers anymore. I have mixed reviews about this location. The wait time for an Apple Genius I was quoted was 60-70 minutes, and they said they would text me when my time was close. Almost 2 hours later I still had not received a text--not impressed. I then had to walk up to the Apple appointment coordinator and they said I would be taken now. Then, it was an additional 30 minute wait. Chris, the Apple Genius greeted me, and then proceeded to listen to my issues that I had with my Bluetooth on my iPhone. His support was simply outstanding. Not only did he listen intently to my iPhone issues, he clearly stated solutions in the most friendly manner. Good customer service is so hard to find these days and it is greatly appreciated when it's found, it made for an overall positive customer experience. Next time, I will try to make an appointment online and see how long the wait will be once I get there. I'll report back. read more

WORST customer service ever. The worst Apple Store in the northeast. My experience seems to go down and down with every and any visit. They have no idea what customer service is and I am saying this as a FORMER EMPLOYEE. For every one person you set off, another 1000 on google will know. Another 1000 on Facebook and another 1000 on yelp. That's 3000 people today. I was told a display replacement takes 2 hours. Then I was told they test the phone for an hour as a quality control measure. When I called the employee out and told him I worked at apple as well doing his exact job and that I understand that a display replacement is less than 30 minute labor. Then he said because they were understaffed it would take 2 hours to replace my display. The manager did not care when I told him I had appointments to get to. And he said wait 2 hours. I told him I was going to go someplace else because I did not have 2 hours to wait. He said that I should. And I left. That was the apple experience. DISINGENUOUS AND DISRESPECTFUL OF MY TIME. This was an appointment also. I called the manager to give him feedback while I was driving to macsolutions at the eastern hills mall. At first when I asked for a manager, I was given a manager on the phone. He pretended to not be the manager that "served" me. Then he said he was. When he was more comfortable with the conversation because all I did was express my concern for how they treat their customers. If AppleCare indicated to me that a repair is 2 hours, I would know what to expect. What set me off is when the employee stares me directly on the eye and tells me to walk around the mall for two hours. Again, the manager was unhelpful and asked what he could do for me. I told him nothing and that I was going to an apple authorized repair facility so I could move on with my day and not walk around the mall for 2 hours. I told him to take it as feedback and move on like I have with this particular store. I went to eastern hills mall to macprosolutions. I was told that they take 3-5 business days because they send it in to AppleCare like all the repair facilities. That was a nice burn from the Apple Store manager. No heads up, nothing. Like I'm the jerk. Keep in mind all I wanted to do was replace my display and pay for it. The macprosolutions guys was awesome. Reminded my of what apple service was. I told him I had no problem with waiting 3-5 days and would pay extra for shipping. When the gentlemen informed me that the display might not be replaced because of the bent frame and that apple might just have me get a new phone. The amount of information on these phones nowadays is ALOT! So I didn't want to get a new phone. Soooo... I go to the cellphone store to the left of the GNC at the eastern hills mall. I got these guys to fix it in 20 minutes. Made my appointments and couldn't have been happier. 6 Month warranty. "Sir, any manufacturer issues, please come back." Those guys rule. Manager at Apple didn't care, neither did employee. NO EMPATHY! I was just an inconvenience. A jerk. Save yourself time and money, avoid this particular Apple Store at all costs. I will drive to Pittsburgh when I get my new MacBook and iPhone 8. You should also if you care about a good Apple Store experience from true professionals. I have been to the Galleria countless times and never actually stepped foot in the Apple Store. That changed when our Apple Box died last week. My wife booked the appointment online for a 6:45 time slot on a Tuesday night. When I arrived, they checked me in quickly and got start to work. A big shout out to Andy for his great service. After about 15 minutes of running various tests on the Apple Box, Andy called it DOA and gave me a new Apple Box as a replacement because it was still under warranty. It felt great to leave the store with a product, no hassles, no questions. If any of our other Apple products go down in the future, I'll be more than cool to go back to the Apple Store for service. read more

Unfortunately this is the only Apple Store in WNY so you're going to have a wait if you need help. I recently brought my iPhone in because it was not powering on and nothing I did was working. I went early on a Saturday morning, anticipating having to wait. When my daughter and I walked in I was immediately greeted by an employee who took my information and directed me to the waiting area to wait for a tech to help me. After waiting about a minute I was greeted by Taylor, I explained my problem to him and he did his tech stuff and he got my phone to power on. As my phone was restoring he asked if it would be ok if he went to help another customer while I waited for my phone to reboot and he would check on me in a few minutes. After my phone rebooted, Taylor came back and we moved from the waiting area to the "bar" and discovered my phone wasn't recognizing any wifi. So we restored it again and again the same thing happened. Taylor said that he was going to take it to a genius in the back because the fact that it wasn't recognizing wifi told him it was a more serious issue going on and that my phone would probably need to be replaced. When Taylor came back he told me that my phone was fried and that it would need to be replaced. This freaked me out because the warranty on my phone expired a month prior (with Apple you have a one year warranty after purchase) and I was still making payments on it through AT&T. There was no way I as going to pay for the replacement. But Taylor surprised me and said that he had spoken to his manager and they would replace my phone at no charge since I was only a month passed the warranty expiration. Say what now?!?!? I was thrilled! All in all my daughter and I were at the Apple Store for 90 minutes and even though it got frustrating at times with my phone and a lot of patience was required. I left there extremely satisfied and grateful to the Apple Store and my tech Taylor for providing me with great service and replacing my phone at no charge. I couldn't be happier. My advice to anyone who has to go here, keep in mind this is the ONLY Apple Store in WNY and you will wait if you need help. Be kind and patient with the techs, they are there to help you and want to. read more

This has been a pretty important spot for me since moving to Buffalo since for some reason my charge port constantly gets filled with dust and dirt and the last time I tried to clean my own phone, I broke it. This morning I had an appointment at 11:00AM and showed up 15 minutes early as advises and I was out at 10:58AM! The staff here has always been quick and helpful whenever I have visited this store and from the interactions I have seen, they seem to be that way for pretty much everyone. My eyes are still inflamed in rage after dealing with the "genius" bar staff. What happened at this apple location???? A long time ago they went up and beyond with their customer service ! Prime example I had broke my screen on my iPhone 4 and had no apple care or warranty they replaced it for free. I didn't need to bitch and complain they just did it. I was shocked and overwhelmed with joy I didn't need to shell out 175 for a piece of glass. However this last experience has put me in a spot where I don't think I will be coming back to apple with my next phone. This is my second iPhone 5. First one the power button only worked on half of the button. And while still under warranty i took it in to the apple store to be fixed or replaced I was told that having my phone in a case where dust can get in the case caused the button to stop working. I stared back at the genius in disbelief you would tell me such bs and after arguing I finally got it replaced. And now it brings us to last night. This now being the second phone things again started going wrong. First the battery sucks. Two my microphone stopped working so that means no speaker phone, siri, voice to text and sound in videos.... Not cool. and three the screen started splitting from the frame ( was never dropped ). So I bring it in again still under my apple care warranty, I figured with all that is wrong this should be a quick in and out ... Boy was I wrong. 2 hours waiting and arguing. This store should invest in chairs since standing for 2 hours made me think am I in Disney land ?!?! So needless to say mr genius brings out a new replacement iPhone only to corrupt it and tell me sorry I have to give you your old broken phone that i (he) erased everything on back, and order another since we don't have it in stock. I use my cell for work, I need numbers and some apps to do my job so I reloaded my back up back on to this pos. and I was told to call the store to see if the new phone was in/ ordered. Guess what that's exactly what happened I think I spoke with Matt this morning said dang if it was off we would have had the phone in later today. But now looks like Friday. There's not a whole lot of information displayed about the product in the store but maybe that's the elitist Apple branding machine (I buy apple products, I'm no better). But to not have a check-out counter, a place of civility, a way to give someone my money... that was too far. I asked someone how I could purchase said charger and leave. She said, "I'll have someone come over and check you out." Oh really? I had to beg. For 20 minutes we waited, trying to flag down associates. Honestly, I feel a little bad for Apple. Everyone is so quick to use their products, but then complains about EVERYthing associated with it. Yes, the products are expensive. I don't love a lot of their policies, but that has nothing to do with the store/the employees/the products themselves. I use a MacBook Pro 13-Inch for work, and I use it every single day. A lot of programs are running constantly. I have had this product since my senior year of high school. It is about 5 years old and still works perfectly. However, the charger broke. So, I went to the Apple Store for a new one. The price was 79$. It comes with a year warranty as well. I walked into the store and it was incredibly busy but there were employees everywhere. I walked straight to the back and made some guy pay attention to me, (ladies, do this also in life, it works wonders). I asked for what I needed, he looked it up right away, and I was out of there in less than 5 minutes. Very helpful, so for that I thank you. I like Apple products because I know that they will work and that if I have a problem with it, it is under warranty. I use the iPhone 6S and yes, my payment sucks balls, but I love the phone. I understand that this review may seem like I am a rich snob, but that could not be more inaccurate. I am not rich, nor am I a snob. I never want to come to the Apple Store, but when I do come, I always have a great experience. Thus, it gets 3 stars. Let me explain. Instead of occupying retail space in the city proper, Buffalo's Apple Store is located in the Walden Galleria, a mega retail center located twenty minutes outside Buffalo. This a monolithic mall that feels like a museum of the 1990s: everything is super-sized, calorie-packed, overpriced, made in China, and lit a little too brightly from above in a way that makes me itchy. To get a simple errand done at the Apple Store, you have to make an appointment online, drive out through Cheektowaga, find parking (usually on a weekend), push through the madding crowds in the Galleria, and fight your way through the store to the nice man or woman with the iClipboard who will check you in. Thus, I usually view an Apple Store visit as a hassle. One I will put off until the very last minute. But once you're checked in and you find a seat at the Genius Bar, you realize that, well, the thing is aptly named. Things move smoothly. You're attended to at roughly the time you scheduled your appointment to begin, and while you wait, a video plays overhead, telling you all the cool things you never knew about your iPhone. The people behind the bar have the answers to almost every question, and if they don't know it, they'll take the time to look it up. If the answer requires new equipment, then out it comes, fresh and white and gleaming, and you get to take it home with you. That part -- the part when you get to take your beautiful Apple product home -- is always my favorite. I know I'm in the minority here -- the fact that the store is often crowded probably means that other people would willingly spend their WHOLE Saturday here, every Saturday. But for me, if the most exciting part about a business is the moment when I get to leave ... then probably, there's something that could be improved about my experience. Maybe, that something is building another Apple Store closer to the city so that both become less crowded? I suppose a girl can dream... read more

My Macbook Pro from early 2011 wouldn't get past he grey screen. Every time I turned it on it would get to the grey screen and then shut down. I looked on-line and could have gotten tech support from apple for a one time fee of $19. I decided to make an appointment with the Genius Bar instead. When I got there the store was busy, it amazes me how the apple store is always busy. I am not sure if it is because so many people are buying Apple products - or those who own apple are always having trouble with them and need help. The Apple Store employee ran a diagnostics on my computer and the good news was the problem was not hardware problem (I was a little afraid my hard drive had died...) the problem was a software issue, and I was told the entire computer would have to be erased and the OS would have to be re-installed. Which I was OK with because I do have a time machine and most of my data was backed up. I also save most of my documents on the cloud. It took about 30 minutes for them to erase and re-install the OS. When I returned to pick up my computer, they didn't charge me. I was surprised and pleased, as I thought I would have to pay for their time and servicves, since my Mac was over 3 years old. read more

I had a watch that wasn't functional. I called support, they gave me a case number and asked if I could stop at an Apple store. I could as it was on my way home from traveling but since I live 70 miles away a return visit was not in the cards. Initially the staff told me that there was little they could do. Ultimately the store manager stepped up, replaced the hardward and resolved the situation, saving me a boatload of aggravation. read more

Im just so happy that the entire apple corporation would rather spend their money on color coded tee shirts so that trendy betchez can prance around the apple stores with gadgets in hand making them look about 87.9% smarter then they actually are instead of simply getting a quality customer service department. Three cheers Apple, you are saving the world one hipster at a time. I just don't get why a company that is worth some $600 billion cant seem to put together a decent customer service department. Im not interested in going into the apple store and waiting in line for 45 minutes while watching greasy little kids push all the buttons on the displayed products. read more
