For a company that prides ones self on customer service this location has to be the worst at service. My phone which is new and is so hot to touch that the appointment taker would rather me go home with a phone that could catch fire then see if possible someone could see me. I am willing to wait. I am not asking for preferential treatment I just want a save product that I can feel safe with. I have on normal occasions had great help here and great service but today the appointment taker would rather brush me off. When asked to show me the appointment schedule app she herself is clueless to figure it out. "Genius" I think so needs some brush up on customer service and helpfulness. read more

Called and scheduled an appointment with this specific store because the technician on the phone says "they had a replacement in stock" and I was going to be getting my iPhone 7 replaced. Went in and was told I wasn't able to get the replacement because I was out of warranty even though the phone has a known bug with dropped service which is not my fault... So I went in being told one thing and was disappointed Apple didn't follow through. I had to pay to get more cloud storage so i could back up my phone to begin with so I could then get a loner phone. The tech who checked me in told me since I was late I would have to be re-qeued in the line and it would affect my wait time, but the only reason I was late was because I was waiting for an apple tech to check me in! Do not come here to buy the iphones!!! The line does not move!!!! Only the people in the front go in and people cut easily. The management sucks, there are no control. My friends at other locations already all got their phones, while I am still in line where I was at the beginning after coming at 4:30 am. The line was not allow to start until 5 am but there was already a long line when we came. It has been 6 hours and I am highly unsatisfied at this disorganization and slow service. This store just tried to F#$k my 16 year-old daughter who, after my poor judgement- sending her to an Apple Store to get her phone screen repaired by herself- told her that her phone had to be replaced instead of being repairable. The phone was in her purse, which fell 18 inches off her bed. The impact of phone against her keys cracked her screen, with the impact point very obvious based on the crack pattern. They told her the frame was bent and the phone had to be replaced. At almost triple the cost, of course. This store is like a used car or car repair store- looking out for single or young females that can be screwed and taken advantage of. Seems to me like they are very adept in doing this. Beware!!!! Lots of waiting for battery service on my iPhone SE while there are a bunch of Apple people standing around chatting with each other. I was told my phone would be ready by 8 PM so I stopped by on the way to another date. No phone and absolutely no sympathy from the Apple people. I left and had to go out of town the next morning for several weeks. After a couple of calls and lots of time on hold, the manager didn't even apologize or seem to care. All he did was threaten that Apple would seize the phone if I didn't pick it up, so it's one old Vietnam Vet against all the lawyers as a Trillion Dollar company has. Fortunately, the iPhone won't be a big loss. There are lots of good phones out there. read more

This is a decent store to buy Apple products, but I had a frustrating experience there. In February 2006, I bought a Mac Mini from this store. I asked them to upgrade the RAM to 1GB from the default 512MB, but when I brought it home, I found that it only had 768MB of RAM in it. So I took it back and had to wait while they upgraded the RAM. When I took it back home, I found that they had not put the power cable back in my bag. So I had to drive back to the store once again for the power cable. I felt like these guys didn't know what they were doing, and it was really frustrating. read more

So after having AT&T and most recently Sprint, decided to buy the new iPhone directly from The Apple store. On release day I had a set time to arrive. Saw a big line, joined, eventually got my phone. I would compare the experience to a haircut at Great Clips. Rushed, adequate, not personal. Bought a phone for a family member so came in the next day hoping things would be better without the first day madness. I would say the experience was messy. Two lines outside, everyone wondering which one to go to, and they had a different Check-In process so I lost my spot in line. If only yelp let me do three and a half stars. I'll admit, every time I pass by an apple store I lose the desire to go in because it is just too damn crowded. The sheer amount of people makes it hard to get approached by a worker. I came in because my iphone5S was displaying vertical pink lines every time I tried to take a photo. We flagged a worker down and he told me the wait wasn't very long. He set me up with an appointment and told me I would receive three texts. One immediately, one when it is almost my turn, and then one when they are ready for me. So we drove to the jewelers, got my ring cleaned and came back when I got the message that it was almost my turn. I had to wait probably another half hour to 45 minutes before I was finally helped though. The workers are nice and friendly, the wait is just a little too long. I was looking at upgrading my iMac. Called with questions about upgrading and recycling my old computer. Was left frustrated with the poor customer service and came to the conclusion it is easier to throw my computer in the garbage and buy a Surface laptop. I had a great experience here making a recent big purchase. The employees aren't pushy and my sales guy was knowledgeable. I came to this store after having issues at the downtown Portland store. Even if all the money goes to the same place in the end, I refused to deal with downtown's not-so-helpful-employees and traffic. After paying, they brought the items to my car. It's really stupid to buy phones here. I feel like they always lied. The first day came for iPhone 6. They said I can't line up till 5 am and I came back at 4:40 there was a ridiculous long line already there. Seriously ? The time after came at 4:30 . The security said and the sign on the door said I can't line up till 10. This time came at 9:00 again already a line was there wtf? Wasting my time and gas . As I am writing this I have been waiting for longer than 15 minutes, interest in buying a new Mac, no one has approached us asking if we needed any help. It seems that all the older people are being helped immediately. There is clearly people standing around talking amongst themselves not paying attention to what's going on. My family and I went to go purchase the iPhone 11 today. We were in the store for a solid 30-45 mins looking around and finding the right accessories. After doing so we asked about purchasing the phone and were directed to wait in line. While in line we were greeted by an Apple store employee who was very rude. He had his AirPods in and talked to us with little respect. It turns out we couldn't buy the phones because we needed to make an appointment. We had no idea. There was no signs saying this. With learning that information we said ok, can we make an appointment? The employee then responded in a very condescending way and said no, we are all booked. Then when my mom tried to ask when we would be able to make an appointment and he said not until tomorrow. She said ok can we make an appointment for tomorrow? In a very snarky way he said no because the appointments needed to be made same day. Then when my mom tried to clarify he then made a rude comment about how he would say the same thing to any other customer that was in the store. This made my family and I very frustrated. This Apple employee didn't seem to care about how he was treating us and we left very frustrated and disappointed. Something I find confusing is that there weren't any appointments available when the store has plenty of employees just standing around doing nothing. When we were looking around there were multiple employees who came up and asked if we needed help. So I don't understand why there weren't any appointments available. Overall, this visit to the Apple store was very disappointing and made our family leave frustrated with the way we were treated. Don't get me wrong, my family loves Apple and the products but we were very disappointed by the way we were treated. read more

Bumping up the rating...went in for a Genius Bar appointment, and "Wade" was extremely helpful in diagnosing a hardware issue that I was able to take care under the warranty of a hard drive I bought from another manufacturer to increase the capacity on my laptop. He checked my serial number and saved me about $100 in the process. Made me have more faith in getting apple care for my devices in the future! read more

I had an appointment at 1:40 for a cracked display. I was seen within minutes of my schedule time. I was told it was taking about an hour and a half for repairs. I returned at the specified time and my phone was fixed and ready to go. It was refreshing to have friendly professional people help me. I showed up exhausted; it was a four hour drive each way. Thank you Apple for creating an environment that I enjoy coming to and your employees obviously enjoy working at. My only complaint is you need to open a store in Bend, Oregon! read more

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I went in without an appointment Friday around 5 and was helped right away. They repaired my iPhone 5 for free as it was still under warranty. It took about an hour from start to finish to do the repair and while I waited in the store the staff was friendly and kept checking on me and on the progress of my phone. I also asked them if they recommend a clear plastic screen protector ($15) and they said I didn't need it. They were honest with me instead of just trying to sell me a product I didn't need. Bought the iPhone 7 online. Set up for pick up at 7:30pm - 8pm. Got there about 7:20pm. Checked in and had to wait. Waited for 30 minutes, got passed to 3 employees and last employee said to be back in 30 minutes. Came back around 8:45ish and still my order not done yet. Had to come back the next day. Checked in and have to wait again. Now it's been about 25 minutes wait and still no help. So, I asked the guy who checked me in, he just basically told me nothing that he can do. I said to myself "okay that's fine, ill just ask them to return it and get me a new one". But nooooo I cant get the color that I wanted. I love this store! I have a Mac Addiction. First Mac I bought was the Mac Book Pro in 2007 and it's still in excellent condition. Never had a problem with Viruses or technical problems. So easy to use and the colors are so vibrant and clear. I will never go back to a PC again! The staff is also friendly and approachable. I love this store it's like a toy store for me!!! read more

That was the worst experience I've had in a store in a long time. My phone battery has stopped working (started right when the new iPhone came out, weird, right?) I was in to get my battery replaced. I was told there was a walk in queue and it would take 1-1.5 hours. I checked back in after getting a text to come back after an hour, and there were more people in the queue ahead of me than when I started. Finally, 3.5 hours later, they still were not ready for me. No Apple store is perfect but I can totally understand them because of how busy they are. We walked in 10 minutes after opening and the store was already packed full. We were met by Carly and she was awesomely helpful. We came for iPad Pro pick up and she was very kind to apply back to school promo in order to get free Beats. She totally made our day one of the best ones in Oregon. They have insanely fast internet and extremely helpful " new set up" staff. We got our iPad up and running in no time and were on our way out. The only redeeming quality about my trip was that the apple staff fixed my phone. I checked in thirty minutes before and got seated. The store wasn't overly busy or anything. I was told that it might be a bit, but since I made an appointment it shouldn't take long. 45 mins later an employee sees me and tells me I'm next. About 15mins later I finally get helped. Absolutely AMAZING team members at this store. My iPhone 6+ arrived defective straight out of the box (I preordered from verizon) and verizon was not able to help me AT ALL. The kind folks at apple took care of my defective phone and helped get everything set up for me. Associate Bryan Cecil and Manager Jesse worked one-on-one with me for FOUR HOURS to make sure I was properly taken care of. Bryan even walked with me down to verizon to assist in processing my return with them. I could not be more pleased. The apple staff went ABOVE and BEYOND in assisting me today. read more
