The motz and brisk quesadilla were fine but anything we ordered with the chips were VERY salty. We even asked for different chips and they were still extremely salty and non even cooked all the way. However, Applebees is on my dunzo list.... got car side to go and got the fiesta lime chicken... had a pound of rice, 100 year old chips, small piece of chicken with hardly any cheese and sauce. Side salad lettuce was wilted. I also got the chicken cavatappi pasta for the next day. Salty. Miniature bites of chicken. Not a lot of variety for flavor. Staff were great. Went in with a party of 12 our waitress Megan was good. Unless you have a super, super duper salty palate the 9 oz. Bourbon steak is just that. First bite was hard to swallow from the saltiness. I ordered a medium rare steak and it was well done. Manager was nice enough to bring me a new one and was still well done. So my experience right now here at apple bees says a lot for it being in the suburbs... first off I like the waitress she's pretty cool but so we got the fireball whiskey burger it comes out barely hot like kinda cold the cheese poorly melted and a giant piece of lettuce covering half the plate! Applebee's is one of those places that you eat at after a game or after work to meet with friends. Service is mostly average and the meals are pretty good. Most of the food here is LOADED with sodium so if you are watching that this may not be the place for you. Half price apps start at 9. But you can't get half off on the sampler. Skip the dessert shooters it's to expensive for what you get. Also skip the shakes you get a very small glass and no extra. If you are on weight watchers or you want to watch your calories while you are out they have the points system on some entrees and they have a little section for 550 calorie options. I came here with a friend for dinner last night. Our waiter was awful! He was so unprofessional and made awkward comments. We watched him stand around and take to another server for 15-20 minutes while we were waiting for our drinks to be refilled. Finally, a different server refilled our drinks. When our server returned, he said "Oh good. I didn't want to do that." No kidding. I ordered the fish and chips. I got a grilled fish dinner instead, so I sent it back. It was completely wrong the second time as well -- I got a different fried fish. At this point, I was just fed up and ate it. I will not return to the Apple Valley, MN location again. read more

Worst experience ever went into this apple bees and ordered 2 burgers onion rings fries and chips/salsa and two drinks got our chips they were good got the burgers and sides both burgers were raw in the inside and onion rings were burnt i showed the waiter he sent our food back and told manager vicki and she swiped her manager card so i thought she was taking these items off our bill no we got our bill and only thing she took off was chips and salsa my fiance paid our bill because he didnt want to make a scene the manager never came over to talk to us the whole time we were there. The Applebee's in Apple Valley isn't too different from the others I have experienced nearby, but it is the one I frequent most. Generally, this restaurant is reserved for nightly outings, due to the excellent deal offered for happy hour after 9:00 PM everyday--two for one appetizers and great deals on beer. The appetizers always come in large portions and even two of them comprise a substantial meal more than a snack for two people. I often end up ordering some kind of the boneless buffalo wings--barbecue and traditional style are available--and the nachos. The nachos comes in an enormous heap with all the fixings, although once in awhile the balance will be thrown off a bit and too much cheese for my liking blankets them. Other appetizers include a miniature "veggie patch" pizza which is a thin, plate-sized crust with spinach and artichoke dip on it. Spinach and artichoke dip is also available, though not the best value for the amount provided. I also find Applebee's mozzarella sticks delicious, warm, and well-battered. Fried Onion Peels are yet another option, although I find them too greasy half the time. Finally, there is the large Appetizer Sampler which includes a little of everything, though there is no special bargain on it for happy hour and one can get more food just ordering two appetizers. Applebee's offers a variety of beers, and I have never had any complaints with them. Service is usually excellent during the week, though be prepared to wait to be seated and longer to be served on Fridays and Saturdays. read more

My wife and I frequent this place. Yesterday, we went to a cheaper place, but they had a long waiting time, so we decided to eat here. Big mistake! No waiting, but service was poor, food was so-so. I think they try too hard to be cheaper, but the quality of food and service has definitely gone down. Will not eat here again. Getting disappointed after a trip to Applebee's isn't something that happens very often. But recently, I didn't have the most pleasant experience. Due to the fact that I usually go to Applebee's late at night when I crave literally anything and everything, the food always seems to taste good. The food that I usually get when I go there is the half -priced apps. The half-priced appetizers are by far the best thing they have going for them though. To start out, the waiter was polite and took our order right away. My friends and I were very pleased with how quickly they came to our table. My friends and I all ordered a couple appetizers, and let me just go over what we experienced. To start out, the mozzarella sticks were simply just okay. The breading on the outside was pretty thick and cold. The cheese on the inside also wasn't really melted or anything, it was just kind of stringy. I was a little disappointed with that one, but I wasn't going to let it affect my opinions of the next ones. The next item on the list: honey bbq boneless wings. This food did not disappoint whatsoever. With the perfect amount of sauce coated on each wing, the flavor was spot on. The portion size was huge too, as I was able to share it with everyone else and not feel like I was going to starve. Overall, it was very tasty. Next we tried the chicken wonton tacos. These ones were also very impressive to me. Having four small sized tacos makes it the perfect size for an appetizer - not too small and not too big. The flavor isn't too strong either, it is just the right amount of sweetness. The next item that we got was a milkshake. This oreo milkshake did not disappoint. It was creamy, rich, and everything that I was looking for. Finally, after a long night of eating high sodium appetizers, we settled on one final plate of chips. The chips were very greasy and salty. My fingers immediately were coated in a layer of grease and I had to wipe them with my napkin. Even though they were kind of tasty, I didn't think finishing the entire plate would benefit my body in any way. First of all the only reason I put one star was cause negative 5 stars isn't an option. I go to the apple valley Applebees in Minnesota almost 2 times a week for dinner.. we go there so much we have memorized our order. For the last couple months how ever customer service there has come to a grinding halt. Every time we get sat we get the same server and he does his usual.. he ignores us for a minimum of 5 minutes before he says hi. His care for our needs is appalling. I don't get how you can take five minutes to greet then be a butthole the rest of the time. I know what it's like I have served for two years. I also know that tip money is everything. But hold on mr. you are not getting a tip if you act like you don't want one. My worst time was when we got sat by the most upbeat host I ever met. Then the server took 10 minutes. So I asked a manager where he was. She blew me off and said he was training some one and it might be a sec...like excuse me..I came to eat now not later. Then he was so rude and never gave me a refill even tho I put the cup at the end of my table to help. Finally the host got me a refill after she brought out our food. Later on the way out I gave that host a huge tip cause I told her she was the best server I ever had. She went above and beyond. I just wish my actual server got the hint. I've always been slightly unimpressed with the Apple Valley location and prefer to go to the Lakeville location, but after this past Saturday I will not return to the Apple Valley Apple Bees. When we walked in the host was about to suggest a high top table, I had two 4 year olds and a one year old with me, so when she started looking that way I quickly asked for a booth. We were walked back to the booth and sat down. I quickly remarked to her that the table was filthy as I picked up a chunk of food and threw it to the floor, nothing was ever done about this nor was I ever brought a booster or high chair for my one year old. The waiter seemed to take some time to get to us even though there were only a handful of other patrons there. I ordered a mudslide for myself, a soda for my son, a water for my daughter and a chocolate milk for my toddler. My 4 year olds were brought their drinks in the big adult cups....anyone with young children knows what a disaster that could be. No cup was provided for the toddler's milk. And, for my second visit in a row, my mudslide had what appeared to be freezer burnt ice chunks in it. The waiter eventually made his way back to the table (he was very inattentive and seemed quite distracted, not to mention not very hospitable) and my friend brought to his attention how inappropriate it was that my 4 year olds were given such big glasses, his only excuse was that I wasn't charged for an adult drink, I had to force him to take away my son's drink because there were chunks floating in it!! We ordered our food after about 20 minutes of being there (and for how slow it was I was less than happy it took him so long to take our order). When our food arrived my drink had been empty for some time, I was never asked if I would like another....I had to ask our waiter to bring me a soda. I had ordered the appetizer sampler (something I order every time I go), my dip was easily considered room temp and I received less than a handful of chips My friend's meal was supposed to have lovely vegetables with it, she got 3 zucchini and some ridiculously large slices of onions. By the time the waiter finally checked back my soda was empty.....I never did get a refill. He dropped off our check and scurried off. Over 15 minutes later he finally came back to collect payment, in which we asked to speak to a manger. He sent out the manger in training who was unable to help us and had to waste more time getting the actual manager, whom in our hour and a half at the store I hadn't seen on the floor even once. He was polite and offered to make things more acceptable for us. The worst, for me, came after all that. I took my daughter to the restroom and the hostess (who handled my children's crayons and menus) came in, blew her nose, and left. The manager in training came in after that to use the restroom so I filled her in on the fact that after blowing her nose the hostess failed to wash her hands. The manager in training gave me some line about how it was because she was going off line so she would wash her hands in the back and turn in her mic. Imagine my surprise when I exited the restroom and this "off line" hostess was at the front pedestal with her mic still attached!!! Over an hour and a half on a Saturday afternoon (not even lunch or diner rush) to get in and out. Never again will I walk into that Apple Bee's location. read more
