I have been to Applebee's on numerous occasions with my family of 7. This one I decided to go with something basic. I ordered a plain steak, broccoli and fries. To my surprise the steak came out raw. It wasn't just a little pink or pinker in the middle it was totally completely uncooked. It was surprising how they let that be served and someone didn't catch it sooner. The scary thing is I almost ate some of it too. Matter of fact the only reason I gave the review I did was for the consideration of the manager when I gave her the dilemma. She brought me out a whole new platter and took it off the bill. Her kindness was like I already said, great, and based on how attentive she was I'm guessing that I was one of many customers who also had problems with the steak that night. Let me count the atrocities that I witnessed during my hour of dining here. 1.) for 13 dollar stir fry you would assume you could afford to give more then a half pounded out piece of chicken breast, more then a half cup and white rice and some sort of veg or sauce or anything to make look worth what u are paying. Yesssss.. I know you are cutting corners on the Chicken breast by filleting it in half... 2.) The MAC and CHEEEEEEESE dinner, had no cheese, are you out of cheese, there was no remembrance of cheese goodness at all and the noodles were well pasted sitting a pot drying out stage, no cheese, gooey, weird honey sauce and my kid was so disappointed yet another 12.50 for NOOODLES AND CHEESE... portions again not worth the money. Lastly my meal ***sigh*** How can you mess up green beans, they have found away here. Painfully obvious that they were frozen and thrown in a pot better half of 3 hours ago with no salt butter OR GARLIC... garlicky green beans, nah I say unto you more like tasteless rubber. My Mash also had sat for sometime and had brown tinge through out from sitting in a pot to long. My steak was the only saving grace but was a 4oz not the 6 they proclaimed... all together 70 dollars for a meal I dare never to repeat. The wait staff was pleasant and accommodating but I came to eat not to chat. I think the manager could see the look of utter disappointment upon my face and asked if everything was okay. But how can you say with yelling, YOUR KITCHEN GIVES ZERO FUCKS, and if I ask for a reorder I am going to invite spit be placed my food... Appetizers started out great with wings with barbecue sauce. As I got my meal I already felt full ( don't get apps and a big meal). My burger was very oily all over the bun tasted like butter pancakes when i was eating a burger. Decent to say the least. Broccoli could use more steaming. read more

Chesterfield Applebee's leaves a lot to be desired. The last time I was there I ordered a quesadilla burger and ff. After waiting nearly 40 mins and having to flag down any server who would pay attention, I finally got my food. A friend and I would regularly come to Applebees for the half off appitizers and drink specials, but within the last year or so the service, food, and drinks have been less than great. We ordered some draft beers and they tasted horrible. My hard cider was flat and the Oberon left a bad after-taste. I will not go here again. Our waitress was very rude. I ordered an appetizer as my meal. My husband ordered the u limited chicken tender meal. The lady looked at us and stated that we would need to order two because sharing is not allowed and would we like her to add another one onto our bill? I said no thanks. She very rudely walked away. I'm only leaving 1 star because zero isn't an option. Took my mom for an early dinner on Mother's Day, I ordered the steak on the 25 for 2 menu, my broccoli, was cold and way underdone, mashed potatoes were freezing, and the steak which was supposed to be medium, was like shoe leather on the outside and raw in the middle, and the service is sub par. We had taken Applebee's off of our places to go but thought that we would give them another try...big mistake! Awful waste of money on a plate of food I would not feed my dogs. My husband, daughter, and I went here pretty excited to try their new fajitas. They've got a whole menu dedicated to their new sizzling plates so they must be good right?! No. The veggies were raw when served to us, the steak was overcooked, we didn't get our extra tortillas, and our app was supposed to be free as we were never asked if we wanted to try one of the drinks but by the time the bill came we were too exhausted with the whole ordeal we didn't even bother reminding them. Our dessert, while it tasted good, took half an hour to get to us! We love Applebee's and this was really unfortunate. $60 wasted. More than likely won't be back anytime soon. read more

Its been 4 years since I have been to this restaurant. Last time I was here we walked out after sitting at our table for 20 minutes and never being acknowledged. This time service was better but still slow and the waiter did apologize for his absence. Unlike the other reviews my family and I eat there often. Never had any problems with food or service.

I was very disappointed in my last visit to Applebee's. I ordered an appetizer of their hot spinach dip. When it got to our table, it was cold and runny. I was disgusted with the way it looked, and unfortunately it tasted worse. We requested a new appetizer, they brought out the same exact spinach dip that we had sent back, but this time it was hot. I spoke to the wait staff, and she said she would take it off our bill- which didn't happen. Our overall experience was unpleasant, and we most likely won't be back for some time, if ever. read more

I eat here all the time. The Bourbon Street chicken or steak with shrimp is great. The staff is always friendly and the food is always good. I only had a problem with my food one time and it was because the cook was new. The manager was made aware of my dissatisfaction (without me having to ask for the manger) and gave me a discount on my order. After that, I never had another problem. read more

Waiter was less than enthusiastic to be there, never even cracked a smile. Ordered the appetizer trio, very small portion except for the beer cheese that came with pretzel breadsticks. Portion was huge and it was yummy, we saved to dip fries in. I ordered the Thai shrimp salad. There was almost no dressing, the chili sauce on it tastes more like BBQ sauce, I asked for more dressing, when he brought me pb sauce it tasted much better. Apparently they forgot to put it on. Giving them another try after bad service for the past 4 times. It started out great with a wonderful server named Frances taking our drink orders within a few minutes of seating. She came back with the drinks and took our order immediately. It took about 15 minutes for some of our food to come out of the kitchen. It took an additional 20 minutes for the last of our order to come. Our wonderful server had to tell the kitchen to remake it since they let it sit. While the server was great, the food just wasn't and some of it was cold. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the food but superb server. Frances is the best server I have ever had anywhere. read more

Came here for an early dinner around 4pm & it was happy hour. Our server Ashley with a smiling face let us know that from 3-6 is happy hour! I ordered the bourbon steak with red skin potatoes & it was to die for! Beer was awesome & service was great. Ashley was quick and got us everything we needed. Very disappointing for my fiancés bday lunch. Didn't know they no longer offer steak fajitas and we ordered new menu items. Both dishes contained the brisket, it was soooooo salty we couldn't eat it. It tasted as if it was a boil in the bag meal and reheated. Everything was tasteless and dry. Very sad but it sometimes happens. We did tell our server who was awesome, but it's not her fault. We strongly believe that the smaller local mom and pop restaurants are going to thrive based on these poor food chains not listening to thier customers. read more
