This place is an absolute joke; the whole staff is completely incompetent, not to mention that when it's extremely busy, they put people on wait lists for up to an hour to be seated; then when you are seated, your waiter/waitress will disappear out back to smoke;only reason I know this is because my waitress came back smelling like she soaked herself in an ashtray; they also only seem to care about the barflys that come in and sit at the bar for hours at a time read more

So the food was good we ordered boneless wings. It was after nine so you get half off so I think they were like seven bucks because they're usually 13 I believe or 15, one of them. I had a red and white sangria, which was really good. I actually asked for cherries on my red sangria, which he grabbed just a lot in a small container and I didn't get charged extra for them. My boyfriend ordered a drink that he did not like and usually the drinks are like 10 bucks so he only took a sip of it and they did not charge us for that because he did not like it. Food was amazing and well cooked, the staff were friendly and fast, and the atmosphere, with the music and dim lighting, is wonderful for a place to hang out and relax. If in the area, this is a great place to stop for decently priced, high quality food. read more

Southwest Chicken Bowl is properly named as the flavors are just like being in Texas, New Mexico, or Arizona. Great food from a franchise owner that cares about the communities they serve. Always friendly people that are quick with the refills. read more

Happened to be in Geneseo today and decided to go for lunch with the wife. We had a wonderful server named Erica. She was very attentive and friendly. She honestly made our visit so I really hope she sees this! We ordered our favorite Black Berry Bash Mountain Dew (which our now closed Applebees never seemed to have) and our 2/33 meals. We had the spinach artichoke dip which is always enjoyable and we both got the honey pepper chicken mac and cheese which was pretty good although I would have preferred it to be a little more cheesy. Atmosphere was typical Applebees but it was clean and comfortable. Not sure why this location has such a low rating...but we enjoyed it. If we have a need to come to Geneseo in the future, we will be back! read more

Stopped here for lunch with my sisters and nieces when we were spending a 'girls day' together. When I read the previous reviews AFTER eating there I was very surprised. The food honestly wasn't bad and the service was great. We're not talking fine dining here but it was a decent meal for a chain restaurant. Applebees had a wide assortment of lunch combinations to choose from. Our server was very patient as we all decided on our choices, often asking questions and changing our mind. Our food was bought out in an acceptable amount of time and all together. Nothing worst than having a person or two waiting for their food while yours is sitting there in front of you. Do you wait and have your food get cold? Or do you rudely eat as they stare at you? Always a tough choice! Our server checked back often about drink refills or for anything else we might need. Hey so I'm sitting here rn and my drink isn't being refilled and there's nobody in here and my food isn't here yet it's been 20 minutes

I decided to come to this valuable and this beloved institution for my good friend DJ Bake's birthday (December 15th by the way). He was so happy to be celebrated by someone, anyone. You see, he grew up without a family, and he gravely lacked the love and support we (normal people) have all had growing up in a loving home. All the comfort he has ever been offered was music and song. Therefore, at his first birthday celebration, he wanted one thing: an appetizer board and a song. As our waitress approached, he was jumping for joy and bouncing in his seat with pure excitement. I'm pretty sure I saw him shed a tear of happiness. But those tears quickly became ones of deep sorrow when he was refused by our waitress a Happy Birthday melody. He threw himself on the floor, sobbing and screaming. 13 people had to drag him out of the Geneseo Applebee's, and this all could have been avoided if a song had simply been sung. Went tonight with a party of 9. We were sat around 6pm and didn't leave till almost 8pm. 35 minutes for drinks and our food order to be placed. Served us with out napkins or silverware. Waiting another 35 minutes for refills on drink. We had to go to the bar to get our own water. We weren't given knives to cut any of out entrees. One of the people we were with had to cut his Fiesta chicken with his pocket knife. All the tables around us sat dirty for the entire time we were there. All the upcharges on the food is why I give this place only a two. Also, the appetizer is kind of meh. Anyways, we came in around 6:30-7:00 pm and it was pretty busy. We did get a table quickly and the service seemed nice. They had a few servers and we were supposed to get one server but she never came so then another guy began to be our server. He was really nice!! I am so glad too because he was SOO much better! John! S/O to you! So we spend a LOT of time looking at the menu. Unfortunately they change their menu so often and all their items are similar. It's got variety, but it's still not super interesting. There are a lot of bland items on the menu. I wish they had more options for vegetatarians. They kept trying to have weird fusion items. Like cheeseburger rolls, or like tacos, or a thai salad, or srirancha shrimps or chicken wings. Or chicken tenders with macaroni and cheese. It was just way too sporadic! So we finally order, I got the srirancha shrimp, the other dining companions got the hamburger and the sandwiches. They were all really expensive!! For what you got! It was kind of ridiculous! They didn't melt the cheese in the sandwiches either! The fries were good though and they gave you a lot. The shrimp was deep fried and it was okay. It was just way too expensive! That's my only problem with this place. It's way too expensive for what you get! Did she just give that guy my sliverware? Yup, she sure did. So, after waiting 45 minutes for my meal today (shrimp skewers, mind you, which should take 2 minutes total to cook), I asked for some sliverware (because, hey, it might be cool to have a fork and/or a knife when participating in an activity such as eating). Keep in mind, our waitress only had two tables at the time. It was just us and the elderly couple behind us, which had already paid their bill and was in the process of leaving. Which table do you think our waitress gave the silverware to? You guessed it, the table at which the man was standing up to leave and the woman was already sitting in the car. Really? I looked at the guy and he just laughed. On top of that, our waitress (who only had two tables!), neglected to take our empty drink glasses after bringing us refills, and as a result, from mid-meal to the end, we had 11 glasses at our table (see picture). That would be fine in any other situation (no it wouldn't), except today, there were five of us at a four-top, with me sitting on the end. It was crowded, to say the least. I hate this place with a passion. I'm not gonna say much about the food, because you already know it sucked. I got the Spicy Pineapple Glazed Shrimp & Spinach. I didn't want to waste my daily calories on any of this shit. I was there to see people and not for the gourmet food. My shrimp were small and rubbery, the rice was instant, and my spinach looked like a pineapple spooged all over it. None of it was good. After my meal I thought about all of the delicious food I could have purchased for the $10 spent on my shrimp monstrosity and it made me really depressed that Applebee's is a multi-million dollar corporation, while places like Lee's and D'Mangu have to fight for survival. Katie our bartender/server was horrible. I had ordered a steak med-rare and it came back wrong 3 different times. For each steak she put a plate in front of my face for me to put it on. It was so unprofessional! I had accepted the last steak because I couldn't stand the thought of throwing away each steak that was cooked incorrectly, and after a 30 min wait my sides were ice cold at this point. Her server/bartender skills were lacking so bad it made the whole experience much worse. After this poor experience, She mentioned how a manager would be right over to address the situation, and no one had come. She barely apologized nor offered desert or anything. As loyal customers of Apple bees and one of our favorite places to go for steaks, we have a bad taste from this and are no longer going to this location! Went here tonight and was served by Katie and her training waitress. The service was horable. The trainer was complacent and trainee was lost. Couldn't get order right and never asked about a refill. She stopped by to get order, drop off food and that was the last time we saw her....we had to go to the bar in order to pay. What horable service for what we paid for. Quesadilla burger! Whoever heard of such a thing? Well the brilliant person who came up with it, deserves kudos, very tasty. This was the only saving grace of dinner here. Everything else can be described with the word "yuck". The runny spinach artichoke dip accompanied with oily tortilla chips, the yuengling draft beer I got tasted like straight up BUTT..and the fries,,oily and unappetizing. Loved this Applebee's. They have a lady that walks around twisting balloons to keep the kids and grownups entertained. She made me a heart with lovebirds. I loved the light fare choices and tried the steak with whole grains. I added a side of grilled vegetables. The steak dish was very tasty and filling. So, the service here is really slow. However all the employees seem really nice. The food was just like any other Applebees. I did notice that the table behind us were seated at a table that was not yet cleaned which was a little surprising, but they did not have any table clearing/cleaning people on the job at the time I went and the waitress had to do it all. Absolutely awful! My husband and I ordered margaritas which came out looking like orange juice and with no alcohol in them. My daughter waited for a refill of root beer for over 20 minutes. Our waitress was horrible. Said she had too many tables, when all she had was 2, including ours. We waited for our meals and when they came out, they were cold, half of the sides were missing, and they were bland. On top of that, we waited for ketchup. Thursday 7/11/2019 all you can eat special. Table for three,we were seated right away at 5:55pm. Restaurant was 2/3 full. Drink order was placed quickly but took waitress 20 minutes to return with drinks. We all ordered the specials but it was 50 minutes for the food to come. That's 7:05pm until we had some food to eat. No one cleared plates as we ate, when we left there were 14 plates on table! Food and drinks were good, but management needs to staff kitchen properly when they run specials. 3/17/19 8:30p appetizers we're great and on time but when I receive my sirloin meal the green beans were basically dying and the steak was so ever cooked it didn't even come on the platter bubbling cuz it was already dry and black. When the waitress asked what was wrong with the steak she used the fact that I got a lot of appetizers as an excuse to why I didn't eat the meal. I was obviously not happy and told her what was wrong and no refund was offered, instead she told me not to order well done or it will always be like that, UM EW NO.
