Good food, good service. There was a bit of a wait but it was also was New Years weekend.

We had to wait forever for a table. There was 10 in our party, but they keep seating everyone else that came in after us. We kept hearing that it would be 5 more minutes. 45 minutes later we were seated. Thank goodness for our waitress, so pleasant and made us feel welcomed. That made up for the long wait. read more

Poor service everytime I go. The hostess literally didn't say a word and just started walking away and then turned around and said "let's go" and kept walking. No hello, no smile just "let's go." The waiter asked for our drinks and didn't come back for 20 minutes and forgot our drink but continue to ask for our order. No personality what so ever. Food was okay. The waiter also didn't say "have a great day, stay warm" or any type of goodbye just put the bill on the table and left. Heard other customers complain about the hostess also around us. Worst experience ever, my niece unwraps her silverware to find a booger on her knife. We brought it to the hostess attention who whisked it away and brought clean utensils, but the damage was done. No one ever told the manager or really acknowledged the severity of the issue. I asked to speak to a manager and waited 20 minutes before she came to speak to us. The manager then denied that it was a booger wrapped up in a napkin and served to us. We waited for another 20 minutes to be compensated because who can even eat after such a disgusting experience. All I can say is if you are hungry this is not the place to go because cleanliness and customer service is not really high on their spectrum. STEER CLEAR!!! read more

Came here while it was busy and asked for a booth the lady who was seating us wasn't happy but still cleaned a booth for us to sit at. Andrew our server was great and very friendly and pleasant on the eyes Our food got to us in a good time and everything was cooked perfectly. Came here from Illinois for a weekend trip and happy we came to this location. Only reason for 4 stars is because of the lady who seated us. read more

Ive called to place a spot on the waitlist because i have a party of 15 and was told they dont do more than parties of 8. After calling this morning to make sure that we would be okay to have a party of 15 and being told to use yelp.. yelp only allows up to 10. I tried something I never had and I really liked it, this usually doesn't happen. they looked very busy on the outside but we didn't have to wait and our food came very fast. I had a steak, spinach, tomato and mushrooms over rice dish from the lighter fare menu. My boyfriend had the all day burger, it was delicious, I was very jealous. read more

Honestly. Applebee's is a chain restaurant. So I expect some consistency when it comes to trained cooks. The waitress was darling, attentive and kind. But the cooks in the back not only messed up my first order. But sent out the makeup meal so quickly that it wasn't completely cooked. My burger on the outside was crumbly like cooked beef should be. And stringy/ mushy and pink on the inside. Luckily the manager took 30% off our bill. But even after this experience. I question the capabilities and training cooks here are given. read more

Wish I could give no stars. We had a terrible experience dining here awhile ago and decided to give them another shot and just order to go. We ordered at 4 for a 6:00 pick up. We are generally very satisfied with Applebee's, however this location was the exception to the rule. Restaurant was NOT busy! If it was busy I could understand the slow service. We waited each step of the way, from getting beverages to paying our bill. Server never asked how our food was, never made any conversation or small talk. We ordered the 2/25.00 1/2 slab of ribs. We opted for two salads instead of an appetizer. The salads were delicious and much more then a basic house salad. Our ribs though were terrible, very dry! This location was on our way home after returning from Gerald Ford airport. We won't make the same mistake on our next trip past Muskegon. Thumbs down on this particular Applebee's! read more

I was there late last year. We each ordered something that was under $10 on the menu. A burger or something. We were there a while, so I polished off 4 beers. She drank water. Don't get me wrong....two entrees X $10.....- $20 plus drinks.... I guess I should have asked how much each of those beers were because my bill was $38 dollars, not including my $6 tip. So it was a $44 dollar lunch. Whoa! Another reason to lay off the beers.....at least at Applebee's! read more

Now I'm not usually a big fan of Applebee's. It's fine, but whatever. Good food. Nothing special. For some reason, they're half-rack of ribs and macaroni shrimp thing was REAL nice. It was pretty packed when my wife and I went and the food ended up taking awhile, but the waitress was fantastic and comped us an appetizer and got us a big old discount off our bill for having to wait. Horrible service, waited 20 mins for water and then 45 for apps that were reheated. Another 30 mins went by to get our food which, again, was cold. Had to ask for refills and even for our bill. Not going back, used to be a great restaurant but went downhill fast. read more

Was convinced by a family member to come here against my judgment from a previous less enjoyable experience here. Once again they disappoint. Ordered a beer and it was flat, and anyone who's ever drank a beer before can clearly tell it was flat just by looking at it. Then ordered a salad and the croutons were literally soggy which was a first for me but equally disappointing. Service was sub par. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. read more

Let's start with the service. Sat at the bar on a less than busy Monday night. The bartender was nice enough and her service was good. Now comes the abortion that was my food order. I tried the full rack of ribs, seeing that I've never had them here. What a mistake that was. Couldn't even cut them with a knife. Fall off the bone my ass! I could used that rack of ribs as blunt instrument to murder someone! The fries were cold and chewy. Kinda like potato jerky. They took it all off my bill, which was the correct thing to do. I ended the night with pounding as many $1 long island ice teas as possible. My record was 13. This is our go to restaurant. They treat veterans like me well. Just love their shrimp won ton pasta and their broccoli.

I called to place an order, I asked if I could verify if I still had a courtesy credit from last time they had made a mistake. The manager put me on hold after 20 mins of waiting disconnected. When I tried calling back no one answered I waited about 5-10 mins as I still had to order dinner and it rang three times until I was sent to voicemail. When I called a third time to place the order i explained what happened and the woman was repeating everything I said to another employee the other worker Made a comment and when I stated I could hear everything they were saying they tried covering up the phone repeated what I said and started laughing . Applebees, the best sit in car restaurant in Muskegon county. The best thing about the place is the service, waitresses, waiters, and bartenders; just fantastic. I remember walking in and I was immediately greeted, sat, and taken care of. I brought it down to 4 stars because sometimes people may take a very long time to respond to a table. The food, when I bite into the food. I have to cross my fingers and hope it's a good day. I have a different experience each time. This makes me nervous about spending all that money on a meal. Be careful what you order and don't be shy to find a manager. They're very friendly. I recommend this restaurant, leaving with 4 stars and a smile on my face each time. Enjoy! read more

i had a dirty crumbled up receipt at the bottom of my drink, i gave it the benefit of the doubt and waited for my food, long behold there was a hair in my food. didn't get to touch a single thing of what i ordered because it was infested with garbage! i absolutely feel sick to my stomach and am scared of what else i could have overlooked and consumed. once management was informed of what was going on after the second disgusting thing that was given to me i noticed she chuckled and brushed off the situation. i'm not usually one to leave a review but i feel completely violated after this experience. absolutely terrifying what they are dropping in peoples dishes. read more

This is one of the worst restaurants I ever have ate at. Went around 3pm ordered apps and drinks then our actual meal. Meal came out wrong sent it back and they fixed it however while waiting for the new meal I grabbed the silverware I found what the waitress called "water marks" on it...uhh yeah and a side of dried food as well? The plate in the photo hadn't been touched either except to see if there was food in which case there was. After that I took my food to go..and tossed it in the trash promptly. That was the first restaurant I've EVER left without giving a tip and I've had bad service before but this was just disgusting. read more

Always a good time, and maybe not the most fancy atmosphere or food but, it's ALWAYS good. Service may be sub par at times. But the $1 drink specials each month and then 2 meals + appetizer for 20$ or step it up a bit for 2 for $25.... will keep us coming back every time. read more

Honestly probably one of my favorite restaurants mainly because of the fries (covered in salt which I love and fried perfectly) in addition to that, the chicken there is great and is also cooked to perfection and tastes fresh.
