Applebee's is always a favorite place for me to go. Whether I'm going to hangout with a group of friends, or just with my significant other, it's the perfect place. They have great food, with a variety of different choices. They have T.V.'s all over with all sorts of different sporting events playing. And their waiter's/waitresses are always so nice and friendly. read more

Got convinced to try this place again after they apparently rebranded/redeveloped the menu. The waitress was good but the rest of the experience was pretty subpar. The booth we were stuck in was incredibly tight and the new "Ted" ordering system is not an improvement (a constant green flashing light in your face at your table when you pay is a bit over the top and annoying!) Additionally there was no real options for vegetarians, except for a few side dishes that come out very small portioned. Giving it 2 stars since the price is pretty fair but I would strongly recommend avoiding this place with all the other great options around Muskegon. read more

I've had a few bad experiences here before, but nothing that was never made right. Things took too long at times, but the manager took care of it every time without me even asking them to. I lose this place. I just wish they would bring back karaoke Thursdays! read more

Ordered online through the Applebee's website to feed my guests. Only 2 of the meals arrived out of my order. I called to see if I was going to get the remainder and the hostess immediately has an attitude and blames the driver (who is grub hub which isn't stated that they utilize a third party for deliveries). I ask to speak to a manager. They hang up on me. Call back and get placed on hold for 10 minutes. Call on a secondary phone and get a "manager" named AJ. Worst customer service for someone who is suppose to find a solution to the issue vs make it worse. Argues with me about delivery. Argues with me about my order. Argues with me about finding a solution. I'm at fault for purchasing a service from them and didn't even get a third of what I paid for. One of my guests calls and gets Rachel (another manager) and she is the only professional of the night. She handles herself so elegantly and is completely apologetic and takes ownership for the entire teams failure to come to a solution. At the end, I still didn't get my food or refund. If I ever order or go here again it will not be by my choice. read more

The manager is very very rude! Food was very cold took 15-20 to bring a cup of sauce and wingz was very cold and mushy nachos was terrible!!!!!! The cheese on the nachos was solid! The manager did not even apologize and that is very sad! And also is takes them at least 20-30 to bring out bill back! And they woudnt even tell us the mangers name!!!! I completely understand people forgetting things... but during dinner with my wife, not only was her drink forgotten about, but our ENTREES were forgotten about! Our waitress came back to us almost 45 minutes after we got our appetizers to ask us to repeat our orders because she forgot to put them into the system. She also told us that she was training someone as an excuse, but we never saw her talking to anyone else during our almost 2 hour dinner visit. And, to top it all off, she never brought us boxes when we asked for them as well. Horrible service, and horrible experience. read more

My daughters favorite place to eat. They love the pizza. I had the new sizzling fajitas and they were amazing. Madison did a great job.

I usually have good experiences at Applebee's but this last time I do have a complaint. On every table in the establishment there is an advertisement saying "Check in on Yelp and get a free offer". When I did this the manager explained how it's through the email or something and the way I was trying to redeem the offer wasn't right.. Even though I was on the official Yelp app. You should probably train your managers to recognize the app. The interaction left a really bad taste in my mouth. read more

I have been here a couple times and I feel like management is the problem. The last time I went was on Halloween when they had a 25 cent wing special. We called ahead with a party of 8 and said we would be there at 7:15 and we arrived at 7:10. Being a host at a chain restaurant in the past (Chili's), a call ahead to me is saying that when the person calls ahead, they will be put on the waiting list when called and moved to the top when they arrive. We got there right after another party of eight and they got seated after a five minute wait and we were stuck waiting for 40 minutes. They told us they did not have enough servers to cover us so with half the restaurant empty, we waited, because they did not have servers to serve us. Once we got seated we had a great server (Josh I believe) and the food came great. The only problem was they didn't have enough servers to serve us, which should not happen in a chain restaurant like Applebee's. read more

I haven't been in an Applebees in years, but I had gotten a gift card for Christmas so I figured I'd give it another try. Once again, I found the experience totally unsatisfying. They should be sued for false advertising, as the food looked nothing like the mouth watering picture on the menu? I had ordered blackend steak and penne pasta. I got 5 strips of dog jerky approximately the size of 1/2 of my little finger, and the penne which was supposed to have spinach and tomato had about a teaspoon of spinach and some pepper size flakes of tomato! The breadstick that came with it was also very small and stale. Now for the service. They were very busy and understaffed, so service was also lacking though my server did seem to be trying. People in the next booth also weren't impressed with the food and sent their order back, so she was flustered already. I'm sorry, I feel with so many other choices, Applebees doesn't deserve a second look. read more

As we were about to leave, some waitstaff crashed into each other and splatter food all over my aunt. She was covered! They did not assist her or apologize. One came back to check on her and she explained that it was in her coat and in her hair. The waitress responded with "well, you clean up nice." Not "I am sorry about that." My aunt was really angry. It's Applebee's. No, really, it's Applebee's. And an Applebee's is, for the most part, an Applebee's. Is this my favorite Applebee's? Nope. Is it the worst Applebee's I've ever been to? Nope. But it is always consistent in its averageness and, let's face it, sometimes that's all we really want--just an average place where we can get a decent drink, a decent meal, and pay a decent price. I don't go often, but when I do it's a pleasant experience and I consistently get exactly what I'm expecting to get. read more

First time going to Applebees, and I was not too impressed. We got in quickly and had a very good waitress, but the food was lackluster at best. My Black & Bleu burger was overcooked, and the bleu cheese wasn't dispersed equally on the burger (massive bite of bleu cheese). French Fries had a chewy feel to them, almost like they were stale.The rest of the party had similar feelings. It could have been an off night for the kitchen, but it may be awhile before I give it another try. read more

After taking a year off from Applebee's, We had another gift card to use up. Now I notice that their steak has perfect diamond burn lines printed on them. Mine came raw, so I asked the bartender to just put it in the microwave to heat it up and take some of the red out. Out came a different one with the perfect burn lines and raw again. This stuff is exactly like the "door to door" meat salesman in unmarked white vans suckered me in to buying a couple of years ago. My wife had Chicken with the same amazing lines and tasted the same, too. Sort of like old milk cows and laying hens that had outlived their usefulness. The "seasonal vegetables" was broccoli, carrots, and something else and the stuff tasted like it had been simmering in old gravy for 2 weeks. What is going on with this weird meat? Bran's has it too. .I understand that you have to make a buck, but lets bring the food up to par with banquet TV dinners. The wait staff was quick and friendly except for the 4 girls standing by the bathrooms texting. It probably is not the fault of the franchisees, but of corporate that dictates what is served at their establishments. read more
