Nice staff and good food. A group next to us ate their entire meal, were loud whole time cussing and swearing, and after eating all their food, they complained and demanded money back. They seemed like they had done this before, which is sad that they take advantage of places like this. Food is good for the most part... not great... I usually order riblets and 50% of the time it's cold when I receive it. The music is way to loud and I cant even have a conversation with my husband when we are there. The worst part is the hostesses are Terrible. They ignore you when you walk in and they behave as if you are an inconvenience when you arrive. Very bad energy the moment you walk in the door. For hostesses being the fave of the restaurant its unfortunate they make you want to leave the moment you walk into the door. The last time my husband and and I was there right after we arrived an older lady walked in and the hostess decided that was the appropriate time to take apart the bench in the waiting area to find kids menus as the lady stood there waitin to sit down and the hostess took her time as she complained that menus were moved to a different location. Once she was finished she didnt even bother apologizing to the woman who had to stand there and wait.we now go to red Robin instead. The pork riblets were very bony and cold. The signature four cheese macaroni side that costs additional was plain penne with a small amount of shredded cheese on top and pieces of bacon. I wouldn't dignify it as macaroni. My date's meal was also cold. Her garlic green beans did not have garlic. Service was pretty absent most of the meal. We sat for twenty minutes before anyone came to ask if we wanted drinks. Only got one refill the two hours we were there. read more

We haven't been to this Applebee's in over a year and couldn't remember why. The hostess was friendly and showed us to our table. As she left we noted that both of our chairs were broken (wobbled). As soon as we swapped chairs, our waitress (Taylor) showed up and took our orders. Our orders showed up In a reasonable amount of time and the food was good. The best part of this experience was the fact that our waitress (Taylor) was awesome at her job. She was there enough to make us feel well cared for, but not so much as to bug us. Pretty dissappointed on my last visit to Applebees. What is usually a reliable formula for success to the over-corporate engineering/thinking of the franchise was a disaster. Besides the Quick service on the water the rest of the service was bad, resulting in cold food without much flavour. Not sure how you can screw up the Applebees recipe for customer service, but the Nampa store was able to on a Friday night in April. They had plenty of staff that was able to stand around chatting with each other, but still had long waits for food, for the check, and for the change to come back after paying. I am sure I will be back, but this visit was likely going to make me think about Red Robin, Outback, Wingers, or TGIF if I have a need for predictable chain food in that part of Nampa. read more

We ordered hamburger with fries which appetizer or salad was included for their special. It was a busy evening so we stopped into Applebee's for dinner. This is a popular place and a great location and of course very busy. We waited about ten minutes went to a great table and ordered. Our drinks came but the meal was taking longer than normal, then the many came out and apologized that the salmon was mistakenly blackened. He offered us a salad and was very humble and sincere. The food finally came and it was very good and we entourages meal. When it came to pay, the manager removed the salmon from the bill without a word. It was totally unexpected and extremely generous. Are here recently for my birthday and I can say I would have rather had someone treat me to a spicy chicken at Carl's Jr. I ordered the 8oz steak (medium rare) and shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes and garlic green beans. As for the food, the steak was so far over cooked that I would say it was well done, and then cooked for another ten minutes after it reached that point. The shrimp was severely undercooked. Still slightly gray inside. The green beans didn't have any garlic or were really even cooked. The only semi edible thing on the plate was the potatoes which were dry as could be and just barely on the edible side. The service was even worse than the meal. Darlene, if I'm not mistaken, was terrible. Forgot most of our order, brought our food out in ten minute increments (even bringing parts of the same dish out at different times), had no tableside manner, and just in general was barely able to pull of being a waitress. Now, I understand that it can be a difficult job at time and if she had a ton of tables, I would have cut her some slack. She had 4 tables total... including ours. Even when she brought out one third of our appetizer combo, she never grabbed us plates after 3 separate requests so we had to use our napkins at plates. Pretty barbaric for a $60 check. I will never go back to this specific restaurant and I suggest you find somewhere else to go as well. Let me suggest the Olive Garden right down the road. read more

I don't know why, but when I'm in the mood for a burger I come to Applebees and I end up ordering something else! The menu is so appetizing and sometimes I forget about my favorites. I always sit at the bar because they have this awesome lady who works there serving the drinks. I like her because she makes me forget about any previous poor experience I had. She pays close attention to anyone who comes to the bar. I am just amazed at how she understands what you want even though you can't quite make any sense in what you are ordering. I had ordered this marvelous sangria. It is in a generous glass with apples. When I was ordering it I learned that it was a sangria because of her. I love the meals that Applebees has. This last visit I got this apple pork chop with green beans and mashed sweet potatoes. It was heaven! When it was placed in front of me it smelled like the holidays. The pork chop was succulent. The sweet potatoes were very good with walnuts on the top. The green beans were to die for with the garlic on it. read more

I have many memories of childhood dinners and special nights out at this Applebee's, but I haven't been in years. Last night, I returned after awhile for a mini family reunion and was thoroughly disappointed. While the steak I ordered was fine, the other steaks ordered were well done when medium rare was ordered. In addition, the quinoa on the grilled chicken and quinoa dish was very obviously premade and just reheated in the microwave. The serving for mashed potatoes were also quite small. In addition, the interior itself was disappointing, drab, and run down. However, our waitress was very kind and prompt and good at her job (+1 star for her!). While she was very helpful and understanding with our dissatisfaction with the steaks, the overall experience was incredibly disappointing and my childhood nostalgia for the chain has, largely, dissipated. read more

My husband and I went to Applebee's yesterday 7-12-14. We ordered from the low calorie menu. I had the chicken portabella meal. I was amazed at the amount of food I received for the 440 calories. The food was spiced just right and tasted wonderful. There was however a small problem with my husbands dish. The manager was called and the issue was take care of immediately. We recently used the car-side process for a 2 for $22 meal. Both meals requested the 6 oz sirloin meal (Medium Well - some pink) Once home and looking at what we were given, we were very disappointed. Both sirloins were dry, no pink, and honestly a 6-yr old could've prepared a steak better than that. I had to eat the "steak" with a coating of mashed potatoes in order to make it chewable. We have gotten this meal before....maybe 6 months ago, and the steak was fine. Don't know what is happening with Applebee's, but our experience and the other reviews tend to say that Applebee's is on a downward trend. Applebee's isn't large chain in California but before I moved I gave it a try and it was great! This wasn't a great experience and I made a fool out of myself for suggesting it to my boyfriend for lunch. We waited about 35 minutes for our food to come out the waitress didn't even give us our drinks until after the food came. The whole experience was an absolute disaster. I ordered soup and it came out cold and the appetizer we ordered was so over fried when my boyfriend poked it with a fork it chipped off and launched across the restaurant. I'd say that this Applebee's is pretty good, but also pretty average. I have only been there once, so maybe my judgement is unfair. I ordered a Fiesta Salad and some Andouille with red beans and rice. The salad, for one, was utterly disgusting. It had odd seasonings and sauces, and adding chicken with lots of different vegetables is a bit odd, but maybe that's just my opinion. On the other hand, the rice and the Andouille was very tangy and tasty on the tongue. I actually ordered a second serving of it, seeing as they are not very big servings. The service in the restaurant was very nice and accommodating, but it was a busy night, so it was also a bit slow. But I can understand that because it was packed full of people in there, just like you would expect in a popular place like Applebee's. One of my favorite parts was the apple pie with caramel on top. It was absolutely delicious and savory. It was a shame that it went so quickly, but who could blame a person for their love of sweets? From just this one dish, I'm going to go ahead and assume that they have very nice quality in their dessert dishes. Their main courses are also very good in quality; I just absolutely did not enjoy the salad. But I'm not a salad person, so I'm sure someone else will love the dish. I have to admit although Applebee's food isn't the worst its mediocre, my one star is strictly for service. On 2 separate occasions including tonight, we have come in late to eat and essentially been turned away because the excuse is the only seating we have available is in the bar because we are understaffed and don't have enough servers, and don't have any clean tables. For a restaurant that "prides" itself and advertises about being open late going in anytime after 9 PM guarantees you either get a frazzled server of you can even get a table. Tonight when we asked for a booth at 20 minutes to 11 the hostess said "sorry I don't have one clean and no ones available to clean one right now" I guess they are open late but only have 10 tables to choose from and if they don't have anyone to bus tables I don't even want to know who is washing dishes or cooking read more

This Applebee's restaurant is so good. If you go, try and get Julio C. for your server. This guy is oustanding. He doesn't miss a beat and you never have to ask for a refill on your beverages. The steaks are so tender and tasty. They almost melt in your mouth. We eat there on a regular basis and never have had a bad meal. Good bang for your buck. read more

Food Was Excellent and the Service was amazing! Austin did a great job serving us and our drinks never got empty and our food got to our table quickly! The only negative thing about the whole experience was the music! It was too loud and offensive. When we asked our server if it could get turned he said the management would not allow it.
