We had a good experience at this location. We got there right at opening, 11AM. We sat at the bar. The staff was friendly as well as the bartender. Shortly after a regular showed up. We knew this as the bartender knew his drink and food order, all he had to do was say yes to it. I don't known how the place is busy but we had a good experience. Not my favorite location because of a terrible experience I had there years ago. It was late when we decided to visit. We didn't want to waste time driving to the one near the mall so we sucked it up. I figured their would be new staff and management after all this time. We were seated pretty quickly. They are enforcing social distancing and limiting capacity, which I appreciate. Our server was super quick and sweet. My birthday is next week so she gave me a birthday Sunday. This place has gone to hell. No WONDER they are closing a lot of the Applebee's down. We order at LEAST $70 worth each time. Price keeps going up, quality keeps going down. Service is null & void. Anyone who has ordered on the app or online KNOWS how tedious that process can be in itself. If you dine in you can drink all the drinks you want from the drink specials, but if you order drinks for curbside pick up, they make you buy an entrée for each drink you buy. Went to pick up food at the pick up time Waited 30 minutes to get it. But didn't bring us the drinks. They said they would bring those out in a few minutes. 30 minutes later they finally brought them out.... Mind you we had chicken strips and fried cheese curds as well as other items that are absolutely disgusting to be reheated. The manager was the one who brought the drinks out and when we complained to him he said he could give us $10 off our check. Wow OK, so the waitress just doesn't get her $10 tip then? Friend contacted the corporate office. Hasn't heard back. So needless to say by the time we got home the stuff was refrigerator cold and inedible. This place has improved so much from 2 years ago. The staff is warm and friendly, and the Happy Hour is great. They have the best plate of Won Ton Tacos during Happy Hour for only about $4.50!! The tacos, a brutus beer, and an appropriate tip totals about $11. The bathrooms are always clean. This has been my new favorite spot for the past year. I had a hard time getting my husband to come back and try it because the old bar staff (girls) were awful. They were too busy flirting and bucking for a good tip with the guys that we would have to sit and wait, and wait, and wait. I love this place, but the hosts and hostesses need more training on their decision on seating, especially for people with disabilities. My husband and I both have mobility problems and use canes so why would anyone seat us at the furthest table from the front entrance. We ask for near the restrooms as possible and got sat at table literally the farthest from them as possible and then was ask if this would be comfortable for us. When ask why we were sat here when we ask for near restrooms, the person seem to be deaf and had no comment. My son and I wanted a sit down meal and since there is a variety on the menu, and he is 5, Applebee's was a great choice! We were put on a wait and notified by text message shortly after. Our table and chairs were very clean and directed to scan a QR code for the menu, no problem. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered a draft and he wanted a Coke. They were served promptly and our order was taken. When our food arrived, it was accurate and warm. My double crunch shrimp was cooked perfectly and so was his meal. The overall vibe of the restaurant was positive and people were enjoying their visits. The staff was upbeat even knowing the COVID restrictions were going to take effect within a day resulting in no dine-in for a month. The experience was so good and our service was a pleasure. My wife wanted Applebees tonight and got there just after 3pm. We were sat in a section that had one other costomer when we were seated. Another customer was sat behind behind us about five minutes after we arrived. We were never waited on the 25 minutes we sat at our table. The waitress had been to the one table 5 times and the customer behind us had their drink order by the time we left. The waitress walked by us as we were leaving and didn't say a word, not a big surprise I guess. Had a craving for fish and chips! We walked in and sat strait away, waited less than 5 minutes for our server to introduce herself, ordered drinks and had them within the first 10 minutes of walking through the door. We told our server what we came for when she delivered our drinks. Our food was sitting in front of us in 9 minutes from the time she walked away. NOT BAD! The reason for the 4 star is my refill took almost 20 minutes and she got it wrong for some reason when it got there. Haven't even been here for 5 minutes and already screwed up my in laws margarita orders. My mother in law wanted hers on the rocks with salt on the rim and my father in laws was blended with no salt and I guess mistakes happen. We told our waitress Christine and she had apologized as she doesn't normally work the bar. However she was awesome at making sure when she got our orders she bundled them accordingly to save us money as you can pick 2 apps for 9.99 or 3 for 13.99 and any additional for $3 per extra app. Anyway on to the food... We order some the Boneless Buffalo Wings and Mozzarella sticks from the 1/2 off happy hour menu (3-6pm and again from 9pm-close). The buffalo wings tasted like they were frozen, fried, and smothered in the buffalo sauce. Not bad if you're lazy and don't want to do it at home. The mozz. sticks were good, better than most places. Nice and gooey inside and the marinara dip that came with it was good too. Then we ordered the Pico De Gallo brisket nachos and they were delicious except for the "Fake queso blanco cheese" that was drizzled on it. I would have preferred melted pepper jack cheese personally. We also got the potstickers which were good, but they were micro sized and not stuffed with enough meat as I would have thought. The saving grace was the peanut and teriyaki sauces that came with it. However the romaine lettuce garnish was a bit much you would think you were getting a potsticker salad. We also got the fried green beans which were the highlight of the whole appetizer bonanza dinner. It comes with a side of ranch, but recommend getting blu cheese if you're into that, brought it up a couple notches. The green beans themselves looked like it was freshly battered and fried, so when you by into it the green bean was nice and juicy and the outside was perfectly crunchy. My father in law's green goddess wedge salad looked very appetizing, which I may get the next time we are dragged back. The worse of them was the fake cheese in the spinach artichoke dip. It would have been better if it didn't look like it came frozen and was microwaved. Also, they should offer chips and bread or just bread. The chips were super thin so they broke every time you tried to dip Overall our waitress Christine H. was super nice, accommodating but not normally in the bar and she made our drinks which I thought was off. The bar nor the restaurant was packed, so I figured that was why there were some mix ups with my in laws margaritas. However she was very on point when she refilled my bottomless strawberry lemonade (which was not too sweet and the strawberry wasn't overpowering the lemonade flavor, however was disappointed to see they put strawberry syrup at the bottom vs. strawberry juice that comes with frozen strawberries, but I can't complain since there were real diced strawberries in my lemonade, so I was pleased). This place has the potential to be one of the best Apple Bee's around. - There are some really good staff members here, the manager in the evening is very friendly and helpful, and the kitchen has been great, on point as long as you don't order to go. Some of the bar staff has been so incredibly nice and talkative, however one in particular tries to avoid all conversation and will take forever to serve anyone, it's like she's hoping people will go away. If you eat in the restaurant, it's spot on food, however the to-go orders have been slopped together and not handled with any care or attention, I hate doing to-go orders here. My broccoli was raw and flavorless! I mean it's like it was chopped up and warmed up. My BF's steal was supposed to be medium well and was well done (what my steak should've been), but was over peppered & salted too. He usually puts a tad bit salt on his steak but not this night! His potato was overcooked just as bad as mine! When someone who hates butter asks for more for his baked potato, you know it's bad! We've had issues with almost all Applebee's near us (the south hill mall, Auburn, Covington, & Federal Way locations) and it's been months since we've eaten here, but it's more crappier than our last experience, at least then I was able to eat the baked potato & broccoli. First off, Applebees has been my go-to restaurant for two decades now. Secondly, I wish we could give zero stars. And I also worked in fast food service for 10yrs so I am always hesitant to complain about any type of service. But I went to this restaurant on September 23rd at 10pm And got the worst food in my life. The male server had excellent hospitality and kept apologizing for the wait over and over throughout the night. The food was finally presented to us by a white haired manager that look beyond unhappy to be there. My sides were cold. The steak was not only prepared incorrectly but also looked like it was zapped/reheated before being presented. And the person I was eating with food was worse. We ended up just leaving as it would've probably took another hour to get it remade. It was so bad that I literally recovered my yelp password just to write this. Definitely disappointed. We like going to Applebee's for the simple fact they have good prices even if the food is mediocre. I mean it could be worse, I mean I could be having to cook. We like the kids can eat here and we don't feel like we've spent hundreds or have wasted much money. Well that is all good but not when you get service as we did here. We waited (and I timed it) 40 minutes for our food, 15 minutes for our drinks to return from refills and our order was given to another table. It was awful, while the waitress was polite not apologies or even acknowledgment that the wait was terrible was ever given. I did not want to add more time to our stay by complaining, so we ate and kept it moving. Whenever I see Applebee's commercial on TV, it always looked so enticing. There isn't one near Anaheim Hills, so I never got a chance to try until I came to Seattle. It was 10:00pm when we got out of SeaTac airport. Tired and hungry, we saw Applebee's just before getting to our destination (my fiance mother's house). It was 10:30pm, we were not familiar with area and what eatery might be open, so we stopped to check it out. Wow, it's open until 1:00am on Friday night and 3:00am on Saturday night!!! To tell you the truth, I wish I was in little Saigon having a bowl of PHO, but that was a dream that had to wait to realize. For now, I'd settle for some Boneless Buffalo Wings, Riblet Basket, and Fiesta Lime Chicken. The Boneless Buffalo Wings were more like Nuggets. They were lightly breaded. I expected them to be crispy but they were not. Frankly they tasted like they had been sitting in the sauce too long and got soggy. I really had no idea Riblets meant ribs with very LITTLE meat. How stupid of me! I didn't have the Fiesta Lime Chicken myself. My fiance said it was OK. But I think he was just too hungry. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised. When I think of Applebee's I think "Jamaica Freeze" and the events that have taken place there, that's it. So here's the story of Applebee's food and me. I went in this one time and had their riblet special basket, it was so delicious, tender bar-b-q-e gooey. Then I went again and had riblets...cold. I thought ... ah...reheat. I went for wings....fantastic. Then I went again for wings....cold. Again...I thought ... ah...reheat. I'll spare you the repetion...the next few foods yummy at first, cold later. Next up...Jamaica Freeze...so yummy..I went out of there tipsy from Jamaica Freeze's, lucky hubby drove otherwise I would have to just sit there until I got sober....but how could I resist Jamaica Freezes...a dilemma I luckily did not have to encounter. And every time I've gone back...yummy. My conclusion...it's reheated food, and that's been confirmed by a friend who used to work there. I think they have potential even with previously cold food, but the food needs to be more consistent. I think the service is good, and I've had a lot of memories there birthdays, dates, hanging out with friends, not necessarily for the food, but the people and things that have happened there. The service was fair...had to wait for workers to finish their casual b.s. with each other then, the food was not edible ... I told the waitress the cook seemed to cover the food with allspice or whatever they called seasoning to a point it was not palatable.
