Went to this Applebees on Saturday for lunch and had a fantastic lunch!! I had the pork chop with the Cajun shrimp topper, with garlic green beans with bacon, and garlic mashed potatoes.. YUM ! All of it was perfect and delicious!! Ordered a Perfect Margarita, it was also perfect! My husband got the baby back ribs and steamed broccoli..he said both were delicious!! A huge shout out to Manny who was our server.. He was attentive and checked several times to make sure everything was the way we ordered it, and delicious. Definitely a top notch server. Thanks Manny!! Everything on their menu looked amazing and since we had not been there in quite awhile it took us a bit of time to decide on what to get. The staff was amazing during our KQLH fundraiser, everyone was having a good time, we played great music and we had people dancing, coming by and saying hi. Not great customer service at this place but decent. Occasionally, my husband and I chose this place to get out of the "date night norm". It doesn't necessarily provide awesome customer service but also doesn't provide devesting service. Last night, in particular, we were disappointed by the woman manager who watched us walk in and made us wait to be seated until she noticed a crowd began forming behind us (also waiting to be seated). When she walked over to us she didn't even ask us if we had arrived before the crowd and instead asked the family behind us if they arrived before us (she knew they hadn't). Not to add the eating utensils at this place were dirty. And we had to ask for clean ones. I think it depends on management for that shift on your dining experience. We've had other decent experiences at this Applebees where the male manager comes over and directly asks us if we need anything. read more

One star purely because the food didn't kill us. We couldn't remember the last time we went to an Applebee's but had a gift card and hungry kids so we ended up there. The staff seemed flustered, uncoordinated and we watched them go table to table with food and drinks asking if they had found the person who actually ordered what they were trying to send out. Weird. They side salad ranch tasted like a bottle of hidden valley..gross. They brought my kid's pizza dinners out about ten minutes before my husband and I got our food so we had to rush eat our meals to catch up to them to avoid a meltdown. Finding someone to refill drinks didn't happen. The chicken in my sandwich was a little slimy and bland however had an overwhelming taste of smoke which had to have been artificial because the texture was not that of something that ever touched a grill. My son ordered a milkshake when we were seated that arrived as we finished our meals. We tipped the remainder of the gift card, not because the service was outstanding but because we never ever want to return. Ever. Oh, and 2/4 of us are physically ill after our meals here. I have dined at Applebee's in Redlands for many years, however my last visit on Friday, January 4, 2019 was one of the worst visits I have ever had at Applebee's. I order all you can eat shrimp which was not very good. The shrimp tasted oily or greasy. The server was extremely busy and was not very attentive to guests that were dining with me. The server made no recommendations for other items on the menu. The reason I am giving this Applebee's two star rating because of management to seat a party of twenty two guests around our table area. Management was unable to seat all twenty two guests at one time rather guests of this party was standing in the aisles waiting for our table to finish. There was children running up and down the aisles, loud talking among them. Myself and other guests felt like we were being unwanted in their party. The night management did nothing to correct the situation. One other party of four left hurriedly after the this party arrived. I talked to the server and management and was told " I an sorry "nothing else was said or done. I guess the party of twenty two meant more money to accommodate then my party of four . I dine out often and I occasionally dine at Applebee's. After this incident it might not return to Applebee's Redlands in the near future. read more

So, basically I was working the night shift 5/29/22. I ordered from Applebee's Redlands through Door dash, I ordered the Blackened Salmon. I didn't get a chance to even think about eating until several hours after I received my order and when I finally did decide to eat it I opened the container with my food in it I found a live House Fly crawling around inside the container, all over my Food. This wasn't the first time this happened to me involving this particular Restaurant. There was another incident where I ordered their Double Crunch Chicken Wings while I was work. I opened the container and again found a House Fly in the container with my Food. That time they broke their Necks to rectify the situation because I ordered directly from them but this time because I ordered from Door dash when I spoke with the Manager she acted as if Applebee's was in no way, shape, or form responsible for what occured. The Manager didn't apologize for what happened, she assumed no accountability for the incident, she didn't offer to offer to do anything to fix the problem, she just made sure to tell me that I had to contact Door dash because they were the ones who charged me for the Order. I take responsibility for this incident, shame on me because I never should have eaten here again after the first incident, but I assure you I WILL NEVER EAT FROM THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN. These people run a disgusting and unsanitary Restaurant and obviously do not follow even the most basic of proper food handling procedures or else not even the first incident would have occurred. Door dash on the other hand gave me full refund and applied some credits to my account for future use and they weren't even the ones who prepared the Food! Oh! and ZERO STARS! My mom and I went to dinner here late last night 1/2/19 at about 1030pm. We were greeted and seated right away by a lady who I assume was the manager. She was very nice I didn't catch her name. Our waitress was Dawn. Dawn is the best waitress I've ever had! She was sweet attentive quick and polite. She was perfect!! She kept our drinks full and a smile on our faces. The food was good everything came out fresh and hot. I had a cup of French onion soup that was delicious! My mom and I had the endless riblets chicken strips and shrimp. The servings were generous and of good quality. I will definitely be back just for the excellent customer service we received from her! I hope her supervisors see this and acknowledge her for it. Sorry but entire staff. Is really bad. Starting with our host Josh who had us sit down and wait for 20 min while more than 70% of the restaurant was available to seat. Bar was closed, this is at 10p and they close down for business at 1am. I counted a staff of 7 in FOH + 2 bar tenders and I seen 2 different dishwashers that's at least 11 different people working. But couldn't give two fucks to assist us. All the servers looked our way but no one assisted us. Ridiculous I've eaten at many restaurants for years and this by far has been the worst. Sorry but upper management needs to figure it out. Or just shut down the entire operation. Won't be coming back server was Brandon and he wasn't any better, ignored us, didn't bother bussing our plates or refilling our drinks. This Applebee's just keeps getting worse every time we go. A month ago we ordered the Buffalo wings and they were hard as rocks. They remade them and same results. We decided to give them another try because they are open late and I got off work late and didn't want to cook. First we noticed the 2 for $20.00 special went up $2.00. Ok, whatever. My meal came to the table without the side. I was informed they ran out of red potatoes and needed to choose another side. They should have said something before instead of sending out an incomplete meal. My husband's chicken tenders were hard as rocks. Went here to watch some football since radio signals suck and barely hear the game. Went inside and all the TVs have no sound but playing the same Thursday night football. So why no sound and play stupid elevator music. Got here around 6:30 pm. Got seated right away, but no server for the next 15 minutes. No drink or even a "ready to order" question. Other tables got questions about dessert or cleaning tables, but no acknowledgement for me. Probably won't return. A crowded Starbucks drive thru has more customer service. read more

Q&D: One step above my microwave. Long & Blah: Applebee's will never be Chili's, no matter how hard they try. Their menu is eerily similar to Chili's and I don't think that is a good thing. I love Chili's food and think they have some great stuff, but Applebee's took their ideas and made them worse. I don't currently work in customer service but I have worked in restaurants for over ten years and most of those jobs were at corporate style Applebee's-esque type places and I can tell you that it's not an easy job. The managers make you memorize scripts, you are always afraid of being "Shopped" by a secret shopper, and you have to kiss ass constantly so as to not get a complaint, it sucks! That is why I feel for the workers at this place. As soon as you walk in to this place you can feel the cheese, and I'm not talking food here. The staff has been programmed so much that there isn't any feeling left in "Welcome to Applebee's!" They should have a robot up there to do it or an automated sound that say's it when you open the door. This happens at every level too. The servers are sing-songy and talk to you like you are a retarded child. The managers are just as bad and seem beaten down and abused by forever having to lick the tangy buttholes of geriatric seniors on a Sunday, it's sad. The food here is not very good but it's not bad either. It would be nice if there was some FRESH chef specials that were offered that you could only find at that store. It's sad that you can't get anything unique at an Applebee's. Everything they have has already been done by Chili's, TGIFriday's, CPK, (insert corporate chain here). I'm in a bit of mixed feelings with Applebee's to be honest. I'll try to be as unbiased as possible but still bringing up my tastes and distastes with them. In the past, I have had extremely horrible service mixed a bland menu or maybe just my luck catching bad cooks on duty (In my opinion based off 10 years of memories). My definition of bad service: not refiling my drink; forgetting about me at the table; waiting an extended period of time to be seated, take my order, or just check to make sure I'm still alive. I will state a huge award winning thing that they do is show MAJOR support to military veterans. Myself being a disabled veteran I often find that companies off other discounts but elect to lookover veterans. Thank you Applebee's for being a huge supporter in supporting the troops and veterans. My most recent visit to Applebee's (the visit at this location in Redlands), I ordered Pomegranate Lemonade and the Three Cheese Chicken Cavatappi. First I'll speak on the ordering system, I absolutely love it, it makes ordering quick and easy, as well calling over a server as respectful as possible at the click of a bottom rather than at the snap of your finger. Even upon checkout paying on the system. Being seated and bringing the food and drinks is the only true thing the server has to focus on (the most important part of the experience next to their knowledge on the food if there is any questions.) My Pomegranate Lemonade was great. The balance of syrup and lemonade was very even. As well, the syrup having fresh Pomegranate pieces in it. Very refreshing. As far as the Three Cheese Chicken Cavatappi, I don't have much to say.. Not a good thing but not a bad thing. It was just ok. Sauces consistency wasn't as thick as I'd like it to have been, was a bit thin (in my opinion but as it cool it thickened to what I would of wanted when it was hot.) Additionally, it was very light on chicken, cheap option to save a bit of money? Possibly. They chicken was nicely blackened, I did enjoy it. Overall the pasta was decent. Not the best but no the worst by far. I waiting a bit before getting seated but over all the service and servers where awesome. One complain I do have, although, I understand for profit reasons. The manager asked (trying to convince change my selection) me to change my lemonade to a margarita. Myself being in recovery from drug/alchole addiction I wasn't to please with what seemed to be pressure to drink an alcholic beverage. I have no issue with declining but I know others that are fresh in their recovery that may not be able to. Other than that, service was great. It's Applebee's. Great for lunch and happy hour. I use to love the happy hour...the staff are all pretty cool I know 2 of them personally. What really kills me is not the lack of service but the lack of quality. Bonless wings have come out Luke warm the last 3x But this last time just did it for me I ordered a Long island ice tea and on top of the lemon wedge they put in the drink was some sort of big insect. The waiter was like "oooh yeah thats a bug should I call the manager?" And I was like ueah and call the Orkin Man .... Manager on duty was very apologetic ...she said I wont charge you for the drink.....I never even took a sip, so that was obvious. I had a quesadilla and she didnt charge me for that $4 on happy hour and I said ok. What wasnt ok was that the 2 other people were only half way done with the plates they ordered and they didn't want to eat no more. The appetizers were awesome, my favorite is the potato thin crisps with the spinach aritchoke dip, the boneless buffalo wings, Of course we did the 2 for 20 deal. The meals was good on my end, except my sister ordered a steak and it wasnt fully cooked, basically not as it was advertised. But the staff was cool about it and didnt interrogate my sister. They simply came over and apologized and gave her a second order and it turned out to be of her liking. They didnt charge us twice. HAPPY HOUR IS ON POINT! 3 bucks for cocktails such as long islands long beaches and stuff I enjoyed that very much :) it wasnt watered down.
