Hey it's Applebees!! I love how they do their birthday presentation! It's one of the reason's we love the place. Kids are ok. Our service was amazing. Lilly or Tillie? She made a big deal of our childs birthday and we enjoyed every minute. Appetizer spaced out perfectly from the meal. Not like Olive Garden where your appetizer, salad and food all come out together. The manager Jordan plays it good. Although I'm sure he sings a lot of birthday songs but he acted like this was his first. Our server suggested the Shark Bowl and bourbon chicken and shrimp. The potatoes surprisingly good. Chili's, Outback, Olive Garden we like Applebees the best. I didn't check the restroom. We went here for a light dinner during Happy Hour; three apps and two pints of beer .... $25+ is Happy Hour? To top that shocker we had the worst waiter (James). Slowwwwww service, had to ask us several times what we ordered to eat, what we ordered to drink, came by several times to tell us he would bring our beers "soon"; we asked for one ranch, one blue cheese dressing for the boneless wings - took two times to get that right. Our bill was delivered ... yup, wrong bill! By then we were so frustrated we got a to go box, left half our beers and left. read more

Don't eat there. FOOD POISONING WARNING! I am a musician on tour. Applebee's was near our hotel. My drummer had a salad with chicken in it and it almost killed him. He became ill about 90 minutes after leaving Applebee's. Started throwing up. Diahrrea for days afterwards. A classic case of food poisoning from chicken that was not fresh. Everyone knows that you have to keep the meat fresh, and wash your hands in the kitchen. E choli bacteria. This was a tragic situation for the entire band, as my drummer who is a real trouper, was so sick he could not eat for 2 days. He could only get soup down. Clean up your act Applebee's. Don't poison your costumers. They don't come back. Oh and let's not forget that my bass player, who is the sweetest person, was almost attacked by some drunk racist guy at the bar. My guitar player took control of the situation with the bartender and stopped my bassist from getting stomped. The bartender did kick the drunk put. And thus the one star. read more

Worst Applebee's I have been to. Walking into the restaurant, we noticed the floors were filled with paper, french fries, and other crumbs, which wasn't just one table area, but the whole establishment. We sat at our table next to the window with filthy blinds. While sitting down, we noticed the bar was full of dirty glasses and nasty counters with the bartender still making drinks around the filthy area. If the bar and dining area are like this, imagine the kitchen. This should have been a clue for us to leave. I ordered the 2-sample appetizer (chicken wings and grilled wonton tacos). The chicken wings were "ok" but the wonton tacos were cold. As the waiter walked by we told him and he said he would get new tacos. I received the same plate just warmed up in the microwave, making the cabbage on top warm and soggy. After we finished our meal, we heard the people sitting behind us stating they had GLASS in their food! Before leaving we talked to the manager on duty (Bradley) and told him how we felt. It seemed that he didn't care for what we had to say about the filthy place. It's disappointing coming to a well-known chain restaurant expecting to meet the standards like any other location. Went in and got a table for 2. Hostesses were friendly and even got us our drinks right away, But unfortunately that was all the service we got. We were sat for over 20 minutes and nobody placed our order or even acknowledge us. After 25 minutes of sitting there watching waitresses pass us by we decided to leave. Service was horrible except for hostesses. This is not the first time I've had a bad experience at this Applebee's.... Chilis here we come! read more

Just finished a cheap and tasty happy hour feast! I had the chicken wonton tacos and the steak quesadilla. $5 each with a $3 brew. Tacos were so good, I got some to go. Will be back to this happy hour gem. read more

Just got appetizers, the nachos are not nearly as good as they used to be. They put a chili on them and it is just ok. The sampler is still really good. The boneless buffalo wings are still the best thing about Applebees. The new cookie desert is really good. read more

Had a late dinner here, there were a ton of people waiting but there were lots of tables opened. We sat down and ordered appatizers and some food. They came out pretty quick but after that we never saw our waitress. We ate some spicy food so our drinks were done quick and no refills. When we finally saw the waitress we asked for refills, did we get them? No we ended up paying and leaving. Not very good service. We definitely will not be back. read more

Had lunch here today. I've always loved eating at Applebee's but today I was very disappointed. It took almost 10 mins for the server to ask us what we wanted to drink. Then I ordered the salmon and I understand it's grilled but it was so burnt that it tasted like charcoal not to mention it was hard. The green on the side were soggy and lacked any sort of flavor. The server was ok up until he saw the $10 tip I left. Then he was all smiles and have a great day after that. Some may ask why leave a $10 tip? I work at a restaurant and it's hard to stay happy and positive when some of the guests are rude as hell. So I figured I'd at least try to make his day a little better read more

Apples bees is what you think it is a very popular chain restaurant . The food is just so so . And the staff here depending on the day is very grouchy. The music throughout the restaurant is very loud and you can't hear the people even sitting at your table . The happy hour appetizers are cheap and you get a smaller portion. Then the regular so it actually is worth it to just pay regular price. May or may not go back . read more

You know? Everyone here is trying. We were seated sooner than the estimated wait time. Our waitress had a great attitude; not overly cheery, but friendly and she had solutions. My drink came out fast - a delicious peach and mint sangria. Our appetizer never came so they adjusted it off the bill and brought it with the meal. My Mac and cheese had no cheese, so they brought me a side of cheese. Oh, they don't serve Dr. Pepper. read more

A couple of friends and I had just gotten off of work so we decided to go to Applebee's. As we got there there was no wait or at least no people waiting In the entrance, there was no hostess to be seen though. We sat patiently waiting but the hostess didn't appear to be there., servers saw us but clearly avoided eye contact. We went in at 11 and they close at 1 so I don't know why they were avoiding us??? Considered sitting ourselves BUT as myself being a hostess know how rude that is decided to hold tight. My friends kids were getting impatient so finally the manager came over and sat us himself. Saw the hostess come behind him, realizing she had been gone for long he told us a dessert was on the house. Appreciated the gesture , manager seems too nice and taken advantage off. Anyways our server seemed annoyed to be getting us since the hostess didn't seat us quick enough. Wasn't super attentive but still did a good job. Finally! A place in Santa Fe that is not overpriced with bad food and bad service. I hate to say this but aside from The Cowgirl and Backroad Pizza, Applebee's has been the ONLY restaurant in Santa Fe that I haven't been embarrassed about taking my parents to. They are from out of town and unfortunately every place I have taken them to besides the ones listed above, have been horrible! Our experience at Applebee's was wonderful! We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday night. We were seated quickly, had a friendly and attentive waiter, plus good food. I will be taking them back! read more

Worst experience ever!! Waited 45 minutes for a table at 2:00pm(not a busy time). Waited another 45 minutes for drinks and to get our order taken. To sum it up didn't get our check until after 5:00pm after complaining numerous times about the poor service. Still did not have half my order come out and the waiter spilt salsa all over me! Instead of comping our entire meal for the worst experience ever we still had to pay half! Complete disaster watching table after table walk in, order, get food, and walk out while we are complaining just to get a refill on drinks. AWFUL SERVICE!!! read more

My husband and I ordered the two for $20 deal, and the Caesar salads were great. However, when we received the Fiesta Lime Chicken, the chicken tasted crunchy. We immediantly told our server, and she had the manager comp the dish. Although, the chicken wasn't all that great, the fact the manager didn't try to fight with us regarding the comp was awesome. The last time we had an issue with our food management refused to fix any of it. I am grateful for our server Sydney, and how she offered us dessert. This was the worst service I have experienced in a long time. I don't know who we offended but we need to apologize.

The menu pictures were misleading. Half the plate was under-cooked broccoli. We politely explained the stark differences. The waitress, rather than helpful, just said "you're the first person to EVER complain" and raged off. She took it personal--she didn't cook the food. She stormed back, literally dumped the new food on the table, and asked another employee to cover us. I remain in disbelief that Applebees was one of the only places open on a Thursday late night in the CAPITAL city. Not to mention the Governor was there...LAME! Albuquerque was way better. read more

Wow this place sucks! Messed up on bill twice- overcharged us

We've eaten here a number of times over the last four months. During his time, the size of the portions have been miniaturized. The prices seem to go up and you get less. The food seems to get colder, too. This is sad. We ate at Applebee's elsewhere and always had a wonderful experience. read more
