I decided it would be nice to bring my girlfriend to dinner and for her to get her first drink at Applebee's because she just freshly turned 21. Upon my arrival there I was sat quickly and my table was freshly cleaned I had noticed they had just wiped it all day so I originally thought that it would be a great dinner, well tables turned when they made us switch tables because the person who sat us messed up, and after making us move sat us at a dirty and sticky Ass table. Then when my girlfriend finally found what she wanted for her first drink 4 different people put their hands on her ID then accused her of presenting a fake ID. At no point did they disinfect their hands or the ID. At this point I asked to speak to a manager and when he came by to talk to me he decided to tell me that if my table is sticky that I should have moved or told my waiter to clean it, that it wasn't his responsibility basically. Then proceeded to tell me that he doesn't know how to identify wether or not an ID is legit. That his specially trained bartenders do so which is the same people who originally declined her ID and did not have a scanner. The sodas we got were watered down and the service was actually depressing. What kind of manager at well known and long living restaurant doesn't know how to check an IDs authenticity? And who specially trains these bartenders? I hope nobody else has to experience the service I did. read more

If I could I would give "0" stars cause they don't deserve 1 star!!! We went here last night (1/23/20) for my birthday dinner. My daughter has asd and I called in a head of time (20 mins before) requesting a table in the back away from everyone ( like last year), I let a family ahead of me and the host gave this family of 5 our table and put us basically in the middle of the restaurant when they were aware of the situation there was at leastt 25 people if not more around us! It took over 30 mins to get our food, don't get me wrong the waitress was super nice and good with my daughter. We did the all you can eat. My daughter was so over simulated by all the people so I i did nOt get to enjoy my birthday dinner and finally asked for our check. It took another 35-40 mins to get that I had leave and sit in the car with my daughter while my husband waited for the check. Cause of all this we didn't get to enjoy or celebrate my birthday with dessert... I called and talked to the manager and he took my email and said sorry.. I never heard back it was not worth $70!!! So beware of how they treat people cause they don't have a care and ruined my birthday! We will never go back even though this has been a tradition especially at this location!!!!!! read more

Ok so, I went in with my fiancé and mother today and ordered the new Thai shrimp salad. Half of the shrimp were UNDERCOOKED. And I'm 99% sure our server was stoned, I'm at least glad he remembered to comp that food poisoning salad. Everything else was great as always. read more

Ribs were dry, tough and hard to cut apart. My husband's steak was tough. French fries were not crispy . My husband's plate smelled fishy even though he didn't have fish. Broccoli was good as always. Needless to say...we won't be going back for a looong time. read more

Every time I visit this particular Applebee's I'm seated quickly and waited on promptly. This Applebee's is by far the best one in the area. The manager even goes as far to help out on the floor, everything from taking orders, serving and, bussing tables, and visits every table to ensure the customers are taken care of. I've been going to this Applebee's for a couple years now. The food and service has always been good and surprisingly they cook a really good steak. They recently did a remodel of the entire restaurant and it looks great. Even the seats have good padding now so you don't hurt your butt sitting down. Prior to the remodel, the seats were pretty hard. I would recommend this location to anyone in the area. read more

Service was slow. Had to wait for 5 min for the hostess to come. Maybe short staffed? Table very sticky. They said it's because the finish is coming off. Wiped the table with a wet napkin and it was brown. They need to change tables or put glass ontop. Food was good :) read more

We sat there for an hour an a half before finally getting most of our meals! The service was horrible we had to use an empty table to clear our own because Samantha k. Never came back to clear Anything off the table, she was upset with us for messing up one of her other tables. My grand daughter never did get to eat her pizza because it never showed up till the very end after my son had to go get it sitting in the window! I ordered online, then followed up with a call since there is no place to make adjustments on line like we wanted, and was told no problem. When I arrived NONE of our requests were taken care of, they were like I didn't call. When I asked the manager to make some sort or compensation for the errors, he offered to fix them, but the food was already getting cold, and I had already waited for the extra dressing that wasn't in the order. We used to go to this applebee's at lease once or twice a week before we moved down to the Oregon coast. Today I took 3 other ladies to lunch there and was so dissatisfied! When I asked if it would be ok to have 3 separate checks, the waitress asked if we were going to use credit cards. I answered, I believe most of us would. She replied "then you have to use the machine on the table; you can't charge up at the register! When asked how we would get our separate checks, again she said that we would have to look at the table device and each one pick out what we ordered and run our card that way! OK..so we ordered and when our food got there, our soup was stone cold! She exchanged it for another bowl and it was lukewarm..good but not hot. Two of us ordered Orange Spice tea and when the third lady asked if she could have the same, she was told that they were out of that kind. She ordered green tea; the waitress went and returned to say they were out of that kind also. When I suggested that the manager go across the street to Safewway, she said that they only had one on duty and that person could not leave!. What has happened to this store????? At the end of our meal, I told our waitress that we were ready to leave and she said "do you need me to help you with this machine? I answered YES. Where has service gone?? After 40+years of dinning out in all types of restaurants, I've never had such an awful experience. Our waitress was extremely slow for having no business in our section. My wife and son waited 20 minutes for drinks. When the waitress came back to the table, she apologized for the delay. Then stated ang I quote " I'm sorry, I've been in the bathroom. " WTF!! REALLY! ! I haven't been to an Applebees in a REALLY LONG time! Food was really poorly made and service was less than exceptional. We had a group of 5 with one child. It's pretty bad when you order a meal and it's so unappetizing that you cash out and go to another place. We did appetizers to start which admittingly were pretty good. We had the chicken wonton tacos... so good, the boneless wings... meh, and steak quesadilla...good. For dinner we did the 2 for $20. My better half and I both ordered buffalo chicken strips for our main course. They were so over cooked and had barely any sauce on them. It was awful. One of the people with us ordered the oriental salad and asked for the dressing on the side. They brought her a salad loaded with dressing plus an additional sauce on the side, not at all what she asked for. Our waitress was even less impressive than the food. We were all drinking beer but I really wanted a water (surprised we weren't given any when we sat down, not even the child got a water) Anyways, I think we asked 7 or 8 different times for 2 waters and didn't get them until we were basically leaving. when it came time for the bill, the tablet on our table didn't work. We asked several times for our check explaining to her it wasn't working. When she finally brought it over we went to hand her a card and she was already gone. We were so frustrated with the entire night, we gathered enough cash to pay our bill and leave. Applebee's on Mill Plain in Vancouver for us was a terrible experience. First off the lady escorting us to our table had heavy powder/cologne fragrance about her. Not good! Wanted cup of soup - only had "bowls." The waiter assured me the bowl was 5 oz., which actually cracked me up - I did research at home and a "cup" is generally 6-8 oz. and a bowl around 12 oz. Their BOWL is smaller than a normal CUP. And it truly was small. Ordered corn chips to supplement - they never came. The place was quiet - but workers were scarce. When we saw them they were typically clustered together chatting. Worst thing was that the heat was blasting on us entire time - it was uncomfortably hot. Felt sorry for workers. After we asked, Manager told us they had adjusted it but that the furnace "had mind of its own" - and it just kept pumping out heat. She said it had been like that for the NINETEEN years she had worked there - that it was an "old building." All-in-all could not recommend this restaurant and do not intend to return. read more

Ok, after 2 previously horrible experiences, my husband and I decided to give it one last try. BIG mistake. Our waitress was very nice and helpful and everything was going so well, until I received my meal. I ordered steak, mashed potatoes and veggies and after having dental work done, was really looking forward to eating the soft potatoes, but upon inspection, noticed a hair protruding from the top of the potatoes! So gross, but I realize these things can happen and was willing to accept a new order. When the manager brought the "new" plate back pretty fast, she apologized, and left and I proceeded to add pepper to the new potatoes and just mixed them a bit, and there was another hair!! It also seemed to be from the same person, which made my husband and I wonder if they actually gave me new potatoes or if they just re-stirred to camouflage the hair. So either all their potatoes were "hairy" or they tried to dupe us, either way, super bad service! So, I didn't eat and refused to eat anything there and all the manager did was give my husband his half price appetizers($5) on the house. Like, really??? Supposedly, she claimed to get rid of that batch of potatoes even though they didn't find any other hairs, but I have trouble believing her. NEVER eating there again!!! read more

I usually love all of my Applebee's experiences, but a server in particular has made it less than enjoyable the last two times I've been. I don't know what's up with this girl, but she is impatient, rude, and straight up bratty. My friends and I went 2 weeks ago and she was short with my friends, and I went with my friend yesterday night and the billing got messed up. I understand these things, I wasn't upset about that. It only got bad when she misplaced my gift card and then left me at my table for 15 minutes as if the gift card never existed - just hoping I would get up and leave. We had food sitting on the table, and had to grab her attention for a box during this 15 minutes after we already ate. She was running around attending to everyone but us because she lost my gift card. Finally, I had to ask her for it and she acted extremely confused. It was in her little black book the whole time. Very rude and unprofessional. If this were a fluke, I would let it go, but your server Whitney has been extremely short and unkind both times she has served us. I will not go back to to this Applebee's location because of her! Food is always great, but please address this issue with Whitney - would really appreciate it. read more
