The food was a 3 out of 10. We ordered a Caesar salad that had so much dressing it was more of a soup, I'm not even exaggerating. The rest of the meal was cooked. As a vegetarian, I usually order the quesadilla salad with no meat. In the past, it was always chopped full of vegetables and black beans and corn salsa with pico de gallo and the little tortilla strips. But today I was served a bowl with a handful of lettuce maybe a tablespoon of black bean corn salsa no pico de gallo no tortilla strips. I had to send the waiter back for the dressing. I have had better side salads. Two of my cheese quesadillas had chicken on them. The last restaurant that served me a quesadilla salad of such poor quality soon went out of business. By the way, we had to wait over 30 mins for a server after asking twice. Considering the other meals at the table, I would give this Applebee's zero stars but I am being forced to give a star. We have been coming to Applebee's for several years. I have always steak always well done no pink and I have never had a problem until this visit the steak when it came out was well done, but it was burnt. It wasn't close to that we have received in the past. I've always depended on this restaurant for a cooked right steak, juicy and well done the lady that seated us saw that I was having trouble walking in and then instead of putting us in a booth close by. Came here with a few friends before a movie. The place had a decent amount of people, but not crazy. We had a group of 5 and ordered, sat there talking. It took like 15 minutes for my friend to get wine when the bar was next to us. I looked up and realized we had been there for an hour and our movie would be starting soon and none of us had eaten anything. I asked the waitress when would the food be done, because we have to leave and she brought out 1 plate at a time. We had 12 minutes to eat after all our food came out. I had the greasiest platter ever from cheese sticks to super greasy wiggly quesadillas and the unflavored non-seasoned chicken (bone out) wings that looked like tiny chicken nuggets. The spinach dip and chips were the best thing on the plate. I asked the waitress when we arrived did they have military discount and showed her my I.D. she said yes, but after I paid my bill, I realized she didn't add it. We were running late for the movie, so had to go. We all realized why we live here, but all have not been here in years in any state. Atmosphere was disrupted with loud music! Tha Hostess was really bothered about having to prepare a table for 6! ( apparently it was time for her to get off). we did come in @ 8:00 pm. What's there to say, Applebee's is Applebee's. Nothing great or outstanding. I come here because they are open after midnight. In this town we don't have many late night choices. Tonight they were not to crowded, so service was not to slow as it is when busy. The Queso Blanco appetizer came out pretty quick. Pretty yummy as usual, chips seemed a tad stale. I ordered the 2 for $25 deal since portions here are generally small and it takes two to fill me when I haven't eaten all day. Ordered the 7oz Bourbon Street Steak and from the photo you'll probably agree, kind of blah in appearance but, did taste good and cooked exactly how I like it. The other dish was the Napa Chicken & Portobellos, now this looked good and tasted good. No dessert on this trip. read more

We went to Applebee's tonight it was not that busy when we arrived. We were seated by the manager and waited for our waiter he finally came over after 20 minutes. The beginning of the disaster lol. We asked for silverware and the one waitress said What do u need a fork? I was like we don't have anything no napkins or appetizer plates she replied, "We don't have any there all dirty we don't have any available!". I was like what?? Finally we ordered and waited. As we looked around we saw that no one was being waited on at any tables and only one couple was eating in the whole place. We waited 45 minutes and finally got our food and it was messed up not what ordered and the manager had served it to us she said no one had showed up to work and their was only one cook tonight. Everyone was complaining around us and couldn't get their orders taken or wondered where there food was. The folks seated behind us said the waitress had screwed up there order 4 times and they ended up getting their food for free from the Manager. (The manager on tonight was not there manager for this store she was called to cover we were told) It was a horrible experience and the corporate office really needs to come and do something about this place it is not managed correctly and they need to train staff and hire more employees and cooks. This location operates as though they have 2 people on staff. The waitress kept apologizing for the wait because it took 25 minutes to get drinks and more than 30 to get our appetizers. We spoke with the manager to see what the issue was, and he acted like they were busy and those times were normal. They were definitely not busy. We stopped to eat here @7:58pm while on a road trip. We had to wait 20 mins for a Waitress. When she finally came to table I ordered our drinks and food all at once. It took another 10 mins for our side salads then it was a total of 20-25 minutes before getting drinks. Was told they gave my husbands food to someone else it was another 20 minutes from then before our food came out. When she finally came back I told her I would not pay for my food. She become sulky at that point. I get being new and busy but this was horrible. Not one time did a manager walk over or around to check on us. They took $12.50 off of our bill. This is the worst food and service we have got in a log time. Our family likes Applebee's. We frequent the one in Georgetown. Tonight, this location, was a little disappointing. My son ordered the grilled chicken with a side of strawberries. The grilled chicken was sort of old. Had a funny taste. 3 of the 4 in our family sampled & confirmed that. The waiter graciously brought out another- but you know how 5 year olds are. He was done with dinner at that point. On my appetizer sampler, the pretzel sticks weren't as good as the Applebee's we usually go to. I think they were stale. They even looked different. I went to Applebee's Grill and Bar this Thursday for a dinner meeting with a client of mine and were quite impressed with how upbeat and modern the building and service was. As seen in the pic, the salsa and chips were quite delicious and their new Strawberry Chicken Salad was heavenly. This is a perfect place for business meetings and family outings. read more

Terrible experience today at lunch. We arrived at 11:40 and very few tables were occupied. The hostess was very nice and seated us promptly. Our server did not come by and the hostess came back by and took our drink order. We waited for over 15 minutes and the server never came to our table. I was in Wichita Falls, TX this week and ended up at the local Applebee's since Texas Roadhouse did not up until 4, this was lunch time. What a horrible experience. I ended up spending over an hour at this restaurant for lunch. That is not an option for me. My server was Caitlin, horrible!! I ordered the fried shrimp with French fries only, took over 30 minutes to get to my table. Then I went to pay at the table and needed a receipt. Unlike at Chili's table top kiosks you cannot get a printed ticket from the machine. I asked 3 people to get my server so I could get a printed ticket. It took over 20 minutes for me to get that receipt. Unacceptable. Fool me once. Poor management. read more

Finally we get seated and waitress helps the ones that come in after us. We gave up and left. Manager did try to offer apologies but staff was terrible. Then it takes almost 10 mins to be seated at a dirty table, then another 10 mins pass before our drink order is taken, 15 mins later when my drink from the bar arrives it looks nothing like the picture, the waiter walks off, when he returns 15 mins later I ask was this the correct drink his brilliant response is "yeah we're out of sugar for the rim I forgot". So I let it go because I'm in the service industry so I know things happen, people have bad days! We order the endless wings that should come with wings, fries, coleslaw, as well as the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer. The appetizer comes out 23 mins later cold and the dish isn't even half full. He says not one word walks off, the next 20 mins passes and 2 plates are delivered with simply wings that are cold and burnt, when I ask the waiter where the rest of the food is his only response was " oh yeah we're out of fries and coleslaw", my response is "and you didn't think to mention that?" His response is "I didn't think about it?". So we say fuck it and order onion rings for my husband and a side salad for myself, when he comes back to the table he puts down a plate with 3 1/2 onion rings and a bowl of lettuce with a pinch of cheese and walks off! So I proceed to ask for a manager and guess who never came to the table? Antoine the manager! Worst service I have ever experienced in my life and not a single employee in the entire damn place gave a single shit! The bartender was too worried about her boyfriend at the bar, the waiter apparently hates his entire existence, and goo old Antoine never gave a shit about anything period! Went 3 days ago . Used a gift card for part of payment. Was overcharged for a meal for grandson. I was told they could not take the amount overcharged off my bill because they couldn't do "two" credits in the same bill, since they had used my gift card. Refused to credit it, I will never go back there ever again. I find this totally unacceptable. read more

Dined late night at the bar. The bartender forgot to put in our appetizer. Food took forever to come out and was lukewarm. Husband asked for whiskey on the rocks, and the bartender added water (even after being told a second time that the drink was whiskey only). Several requests to the bartender had to be repeated. Bartender seemed to have a negative attitude, complaining loudly that someone had ordered a cocktail without alcohol. Overall just a poor experience. I don't plan on returning. Although we were in a hurry and they were crowded, our party of two were seated rather promptly for it being 8:00-ish on a Saturday night. We were in somewhat of a rush so we ordered right away and our food was served promptly. That was the good parts of our visit. When the dishes arrived my mashed potatoes were ICE COLD! Like right out of the refrigerator ice cold! I couldn't eat any of them and tried to spell the word "COLD" with them on my plate when we left. I didn't have time to complain or send back so we just bailed. The steak and mixed veggies were good, but who the f&@k would serve ice cold mashed potatoes with under-to-uncooked chunks of potato in them? Applebee's in WF on Kemp, that's who! read more
