I've wanted to try this place for so long and finally got to try it! Every Sunday they have a breakfast buffet and I've heard great things about it. It was worth the trip! The place itself is very homey and welcoming. The staff super friendly and happy. A very casual feel, much like home. The buffet was under 15 dollars and includes coffee, tea, and juice. They had grapefruit juice which made me very happy. They had eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, beans, cinnamon rolls, hash, pulled pork, beans, corn nuggets, a veggie casserole, and French toast sticks, as well as a large bowl of fresh fruit! One of my favorites when visiting New Hampshire!!!!!! Soooo cutely decorated inside. They play light country music in the background. They also have a couple tables outside. They have a full bar with fun cocktails & beer and wine. Don't let the prices on the menu deter you, it comes with soooooo much food!! Crackers and queso dipping sauce comes out first. I ordered the shrimp, grilled. It came with about 10 decently sized shrimp. A salad for a $1 up charge came out first. It came with grilled veggies and my choice of side. Always order food to go and the whole process from ordering to pickup is seamless! The parking lot is full especially during weekends, but there is a designated parking spot for take out orders right in front of the restaurant entrance. I have been remiss in not writing a review before now. Perhaps I subconsciously wanted to keep this gem to myself, but that would be too selfish. We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I love the falafel wrap. I generally agonize over the entire menu and end up at the same choice. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of very good choices and I've never been disappointed but why mess with success? The staff is awesome, they know us since we are there a few times a month, so it almost feels like family. But I noticed that they treat everyone well. We heard about this place on the radio and let me tell you it was worth the trip! The menu is huge!!! I mean huge as in they have everything from sandwiches and appetizers to full fancy dinners. Our waitress was Lisa, and between the casual ambiance, the excellent food, her utmost care, and her jovial personality, she truly made our evening with friends a memorable experience. We've been planning on coming over here for some time now. The Fenton family who own the Appleseed restaurant also own the Sunapee Cruises including the dinner boat. We've been to both, the old and the new boat several times but we had not been to their restaurant in Bradford. The place is quaint, reminiscing of a colonial tavern, ample but cozy. After a selection of cocktails, we ordered our course. Two of us had the seafood platter and it was magnificent. The fish, oysters, shrimp and calamari were cooked in a light and tender breading that made the seafood Both crispy and tender without overcooking. This was really a superb selection. I was craving fried chicken and had seen it on the menu here before. We called ahead to make a reservation because of Covid. We were seated on the outside deck by the lake and it was a lovely evening. We started with fried clams and onion rings that were crispy and delicious but needed salt. (No salt on tables these days, so had to wait some time to ask for salt). I ordered the fried chicken and I am so glad I did. It was hot, crispy and perfectly fried. Exactly what I was craving! It's almost like going home to eat your mom's homemade food (I hope your mom could cook). Everything I've had here is just wonderful. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly. I love the roast beef dinner, but my favorite is the boneless fried chicken. Their mashed potatoes are just like my mom's. The steak tips are done just how you wanted and are like butter! Hand cut fries to die for which pair perfectly with their juicy and flavorful fried chicken. Now I need to go back. I love looking at the license plates from literally all over the world. This place is amazing. Recently, my wife and I were stranded in Bradford, NH for to a motorcycle issue. It was suggested to us that we wait for our ride at Appleseeds. The staff here too such good care of us and made our 2 1/2 hour wait more than tolerable. The owner checked in on us, the wait staff constantly stopped by to see if we needed anything, and in the end, they were extremely generous when it came to the bill. The restaurant has a motto that they live by.... It's posted in the restaurant and on their menus "Because Nice Matters". And they live up to that motto! HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Prime rib for both us, done just right, I usually have the Turkey dinner, but saw the prime rib go past to another table and it looked sooo good. Kitchen always gets it right. Salads fresh and crisp. Nice comfortable atmosphere, eat in or on the deck. Great, friendly server, McKenzie, Fried Scallops were lightly breaded and very tasty with a nice baked potato and cole slaw. The salad bar included with entree's has a varied assortment to add to the basic lettuce. Bacon- corn kernels-peppers-croutons etc. Crispy lettuce with a well stocked salad bar. Sirloin Medallions, 8 oz. with baked potato. Medallions cooked to perfection and very tender. Lighter Fare Baked Haddock just the right amount also with baked potato and veggie. read more

We had a great dinner at the Appleseed. We were staying about a mile away at the Candlelite Inn, and the innkeeper recommended this place to us. She told us it was comfort food, and that's exactly what we got. As soon as we sat down, our waitress placed a plate of Ritz crackers with some warm cheese sauce to dip it in. It was a no-frills version of cheese and crackers, and it was a nice way to start our meal. Our entrees came with the salad bar, so we got our salads next. We were pleasantly surprised to find a really good salad bar in this homey little restaurant. The main greens were a mix of romaine and iceberg lettuce, and they had some great fixings, including real bacon bits, cold sesame noodles, crunchy peas, beets, hardboiled eggs, and chickpeas, on top of your usual veggies and croutons. We had our choice of housemade dressings including a sweet cranberry dressing, a great house blue cheese, and a really good house Russian dressing. I ordered an open-faced roast beef sandwich, and my boyfriend got a turkey dinner. Both of our meals were delicious and satisfying. My roast beef was piled high on nicely toasted white bread and covered in gravy. My boyfriend loved his turkey dinner, which had lots of turkey, gravy, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. Our waitress handed us a bowl with two soft dinner rolls and two mini chocolate chip muffins to go along with our dinner, and it just added to our already enjoyable experience. The beer selection wasn't too shabby either. Not a lot of taps, but there were some interesting beers. My boyfriend got a Switchback Ale, and I got a 4000 Footer IPA by Woodstock Inn Brewery, which is located in New Hampshire. read more

I wish I could have given it a better review. I took my Dad out to dinner and he was very excited to try this spot near his home. They bring out a few ritz crackers and melted cheese in a little plastic cup for starters. The cheese had really no taste to it. I ordered the lobster roll with the salad bar. The best part of my experience (foodwise) was the salad bar. I thought it was good with fresh ingredients. The lobster roll just tasted weird. It's the best way I can describe it. It came out on a buttered toasted hotdog bun which was cold. The lobster had a bad taste, which is strange because I love lobster and lobster rolls. Really regretted it since it was pretty expensive. We both shared the fried clams. I thought they were pretty good. My dad thought they weren't crispy enough but I've had worse. They were on special, the sign said 15.99 but I was charged 17.99. No problem, the server was friendly and fixed it. He ordered the fish and chips, also on special. The outside was crispy but the inside was a bit on the gooey side as if the oil wasnt got enough. He didn't really enjoy it. The fries were good though. The good...I loved the New England atmosphere. I felt like I was at home there. The people were also very friendly there and service was great. The food is very mediocre..that's all. It would have been different if the food was cheaper, but it is actually quite pricey for what you get. read more

Here's the low down. 4 people. 2 identical orders. Their "favorite" seafood the Atlantic Haddock. Both were grilled. One tasted good. The other tasted like plastic. We traded bites so there was fairness in this review. The shrimp was good. The pulled pork was good but as a sandwich the roll was ala market market. We ate at the old courthouse last night. That was a 5. Granted the latter check was 20% higher. As far as pulled pork Peter Christians hands down better. While this is a 3 star rating on the food, the service was easily 5 stars. read more

We went to Appleseed for breakfast on our last day of New Hampshire vacation. It's a very quaint restaurant, country style decor. It's small with a peaceful view of the lake. We were seated immediately and served coffee. BTW, the coffee was strong and the best we have in New Hampshire. The breakfast buffet was adequate. Oddly they had vegetable lasagna. I liked it. The corn fritters were original and delicious also. We left felling stuffed and satiated. I'd recommend Appleseed for a comforting breakfast. read more
