They came out to fix a switch on our furnace, said if it went bad again within 90 days they would come back and replace it. It went bad a few days later and he said he'd call me the next day. 2 weeks later, and now they aren't returning my calls at all. Appliance Alliance dominates Google! When I typed in appliance repair for my area, they had all the top listings because of dedicated websites for each town near me. It's insane! Anyway, I called and someone was able to come out that same day, check things out, and give an service call for only $59 (one of our stove burners no longer turned on). Well, perhaps the service call was so cheap because the actual estimate was $420 (or another $360), including over $200 for labor alone. He said he need to remove the entire top of the stove. We thought that was nuts. Anyway, I contacted another company with the information written up on the estimate and was given a $220 quote over the phone. That other company came the next day and was in and out in 15 minutes, with super friendly service. Appliance Alliance totally feels like a scam to me. I would highly recommend this company. After calling SEVERAL other appliance repair companies on Yelp to try and get someone out to look at my Samsung washer and dryer and being told "we don't service that brand" or "we don't service your area" or not even getting an answer at all, Richard answered my call right away! After finding out where I'm located, he actually checked his route and said he was in my area so he could be at my house in the next half hour. Within minutes of arriving at my house, he was able to diagnose the problems for both appliances and gave me an incredibly reasonable quote. He got to work right away and explained to me what he was doing as he did it. He was able to fix the issues with both machines in about an hour. Friendly, quick, and reasonably priced. Called Appliance alliance because they advertised that they could repair Bosch Dryer. The dryer wouldn't turn on although it was powering up. Their tech Adrian arrived the same day that I called. After hooking the dryer up to the gas line ( he said that the gas needed to be connected in order to properly test the unit) he proceeded to apparently use the controls to run a test on the dryer functions. After 5 minutes of pushing buttons on the menu control he said that the problem was A wiring harness/inverter a $477.00 part plus $200. for labor but I would get a $59.00 credit for the service charge fee total of $617.70 I told him that I would think about it and proceeded to examine the owners manual on the unit Guess what ! If there were option for no stars, that would be my choice. I called for service and a repair man was sent out. He told me that he was going to have to order a part for my oven and needed a check for half the cost of the part. I wrote a check for $150.00 March 28, 2019. The check was cashed but never heard back. I called them in April to ask about the part and was told they were sorry but the employee had cashed the check and they would have to come out again. I made an appointment which they never showed up for. Since then I have been trying to get my $150.00 back from Richard with no success. I have also talked to his son and was promised the return of my $150.00 and to this day 7/11/2019 I have not been reimbursed. I had this business install a stackable washer and dryer in my apartment at a cost of $350. The washer began leaking a couple weeks after it was installed and they came back to fix it and it seemed okay. Then I noticed Clothing was ripping a month or so later. I had the manufacturer out and they said there was nothing sharp in or around the drum but the ripping could happen from not enough water in the washer. A couple months later, the water stopped entirely. I had the manufacturer out again and they pulled it out and said it was. It hooked up to the drain properly and that was causing the water pressure switch to trip and not reset. I called this business again and they said they would not back their work and I should call a GC to handle this. read more

They charged me $420 to fix it (which is like half the price of just buying a new washer dryer) and said I would have a 1 year warranty. It's now February 2019 and it's non-functional again and they aren't responding to calls, texts, or emails. I can not say enough nice things about Richard! I wish I had more appliances that he could take a look at because he is the best your going to find. He is honest upfront and no bull. He does not force you into fixing something out of your price range or fix something that he doesn't believe will extend the life of the appliance. We had a problem with a dryer since day 1 and I was on my last straw of trying to get it fixed. He took the time to educate me on what he was looking at and for so that I didn't think we were being taken advantage of. He was respectful honest and runs a business the way it should be run. He doesn't create imaginary problems for more money. I will continue to use him in the future for any issues we may have. There is no hidden agenda behind his free diagnosis and free service call. Beware. I called Appliance Alliance because my refrigerator wasn't cooling enough. Two guys came out, looked and diagnosed ( correctly) the problem as a faulty evaporator. They said a new one would cost $1800 plus up to $450 labor. That sounded a bit much, so i researched and called another company. Turns out the evaporator cost $1000 not $1800. Labor was indeed $450. But they were going to charge $800 more than was necessary!!!! read more

Great and professional service. I received a response minutes after my quote request on Yelp and was pleasantly surprised the service call to assess repair was free. I had trouble with my 10 year old dishwasher. They were able to get a technician, Adrian Perez out to me the next morning. After taking apart my dishwasher, Adrian, saw my dishwasher was too damaged for repair. He carefully put everything back into my dishwasher and with his professional demeanor, offered that Appliance Alliance can install my new dishwasher once we purchase it. 1 star because you can't give them zero. In a nutshell - Noisy (but not broken) dishwasher. The tech comes out, takes the dishwasher apart and finds the motor is going bad. Okay, we need a new motor. We ask the tech to put the dishwasher back together. He tells us "I'll leave it this way because I'll be back in a day or two with the new part." Two days later, no part. Call them up ask ask. They ordered the wrong part (they claim they were sent the wrong part, but they seem to have a history of massive incompetence, based on the other reviews.) They give us a window on Friday between noon and 3. Sounds good. We have plans for dinner and this works fine. 2:30 comes around and no tech. My wife calls and the tech tells her that it's been rescheduled from 3 - 5 and that his boss has to come with him because the job is difficult. So my wife calls the owner and the real fun begins. The owner - Richard - tells my wife that he'll be there between 3 and 5 because that's what he has scheduled. Forget the time window setup between us and the tech, Richard is coming then. My wife informs him "No, you're not. We will not be home. That's why we set up a noon to 3 appointment. What about tomorrow ?". Richard informs here that Saturday is for emergencies, so no. My wife tells him "You are supposed to be here with the part, today. You left my dishwasher in pieces. When will you be here?" Now, any respectable and professional business would have apologized for the mix up and made it right. But not Richard. Instead of doing the right thing, Richard goes on the defensive - as though he has been grievously wronged. Richard tells my wife that they won't be repairing the dishwasher because it's a hostile environment and she used vulgar language. Both of which are lies. So now, we have an disassembled, non-functional dishwasher (that worked but was noisy) that his tech took apart. Richard claims he will refund the inspection fee, but that's not good enough. You owe us for taking the dishwasher apart and leaving it - because my wife called your bluff and you went running for the hills. You did the least professional thing you could do and provided the most inept and cowardly customer service I have ever seen. See you in small claims court, Richard. read more

Thank you Richard for your free consultation visit. His technician Adrian came on time to fix my cook top. The igniter in the cooktop was away from the burner thus not lighting the burner. He just moved the igniter in the direction towards burner and burner started working. To our surprise, he did not even charged us a penny (other appliance repair guys were asking for more than $150 just for a visit). I cannot thank Robert enough for helping me with my washer and dryer. He is knowledgeable and fair. He came out promptly and was able to quickly troubleshoot what was wrong with the fact my dryer was not properly vented and lined everything up correctly, the other repairman I called with another company did not help me. My refrigerator is about three years old and on Sunday it stopped making ice. I tried to maneuver the handle myself but I wasn't able to have any success. A friend of mine recommended calling Richard at the appliance alliance. Richard came to my home it was very respectful especially during these trying times of COVID-19. They wore protective PPE to be respectful of the members of my family, and I thought that was very professional and respectful. Richard was able to diagnose the problem rather quickly and he completed the work in a steadfast way. The arm on my icemaker had become unattached and it was stuck in off mode which caused it to freeze up. After Richard saw the problem within a few hours my icemaker was dropping ice again like a champion. This company is horrendous. They answered a call to a job where a fridge was supposed to be repaired. They left and one day later we found water all over the wood floors and down into the basement. When I called to get resolution they blamed a general contractor that hadn't been in the house for 5 weeks. We have repairs potentially into the thousands of dollars because of their lack of knowledge. My strong suggestion is that you rely on your applicable manufacturer or someone that stands behind their work. If you want your wood floors to buckle and walls to get soaked in water, this is the perfect company for you. Have an issue with our dryer so we called Appliance Alliance since they had fixed our washer before. We scheduled an appointment on Tuesday 8/30 between 5-8pm. Received a call from Manny right before 8 that he wouldn't be able to make it, but asked for details on the dryer. Rescheduled an appointment for today between 10-1pm. Didn't hear anything from Manny until my sister called at 12:25pm to see if he was coming. He told her he wasn't going to make it by 1. She said we were going to go with someone else. He said he already ordered the parts for the dryer that he never even looked at. How do you order parts when you haven't even looked to see what the problem was? He wasted our time twice. There does not exist a sufficiently low score for this company. They purported to know how to fix sub-zero refrigerators. They sent me a kid by the name of Frankie ( with a grim reeper tatoo on his forearm) who allegedly knew how to fix a sub-zero refrigerator. After charging me $3200 dollars, the freezer still did not work. After no less than fifteen calls and two know shows, Frankie magically appeared and fixed the freezer temporarily. He also promised us a one- year warrantee. Three months later, however, the freezer ceased working. We called the company relentlessly and have had no response. These people are frauds. I have never dealt with a company that was so un-businesslike that it appalled me. How they get any technicians out to their customers remains a mystery to me after my experience with their lack of communication, follow-through, and other unprofessional behavior.My first interaction with Appliance Alliance was fine. They were able to send someone out the same day on a Saturday. Then, I made the mistake of trying to get my air conditioner repaired by them. I was told the technician would come early Monday morning, but the technician only showed up Monday night after I called to ask why someone had not come. I was then told I would need to acid wash my condenser. That's all dandy, but it required another visit, and I could only get the technician to make an appointment "for sometime around Thursday or Friday," he would call tomorrow with the details. Come Wednesday, I've heard nothing. Called Richard to ask what was up. He reassured me that someone would call me back. Silly me, apparently I was slow to catch onto Appliance Alliance's fatal weakness: calling customers back. Of course by Friday, no one has called or shown up. I give it a rest, and wait until the following Monday to call Richard back. Richard claims to be surprised, and tells me his guys kept telling him that "he'd take care of it." Richard then swears that he will get his man over right away, call me back in 30 minutes. Never calls back. Try again Tuesday, Richard tells me he has fired his technician and has another whom he is contacting and who will call me back "shortly." By Wednesday morning, I've lost all patience. Try calling Richard, get his voicemail, can't leave a message because his mailbox is full of course, so I wait 'til the afternoon. Finally reach him, to tell him this was unacceptable and some other choice words (but still civil). He tells me that his guy said he'd called me last night and spoken with me, and that he was apparently waiting for me to get home and call him. Richard needs to check his employees' recent calls section on their cell phones, because either those men were lying through their teeth, or they were calling the wrong numbers. Given that one guy said he'd spoken to me, I think it's safe to say he is lying to his boss or delusional. I am simply beside myself after my incredible, unbelievable, prolonged experience with them. Should have simply not called when the technician didn't even bother to come the first time, but I had give them a mulligan. Dumbest decision I've made in a long time. read more

Called to have a tenants air conditioner fixed since it would not run. WEDNESDAY : Called Richard in morning. Stated they would get somebody out. After numerous calls they would come following day. THURSDAY: Somebody went there and stated that to fix the unit it would be between $400-$600 in parts and labor. Tech texted tenant, will be there today. Richard called me and stated a tech will be out there but he needs to be paid in cash. Never showed or communicated. FRIDAY: Richard stated someone would be coming out today. No Show!
