I was in a quandary when my Kenmore washer broke down. I I have not had to have any repairs to our appliances in quite some time; therefore not familiar with the good repairman. So I turn to yelp and found Appliance Expert. The business was in my area and had great reviews. Called and left a message. Within minutes I received a text and Todd had jury duty but told me as soon as he found out whether not he had to serve he would let me know. Honest, competent and fast! The great overall review score is no joke. Our rental property's gas Samsung oven stopped working (range still worked). I replaced the igniter myself, but it still wasn't lighting. Given how the rest of the unit was working, Todd said the next likely issue was a $400 fix. To limit people visiting my renters during COVID, we decided I would not be there during the repair, and I'd pay over Venmo. It turned out I simply needed to close the oven door and let the oven run a little longer when testing the new igniter. D'oh. Todd could've easily gone ahead with the pricey but unnecessary repair. Instead, he told me what happened, and only charged me a trip fee. Did I mention he got this fixed within a day of my first call? Thank you Todd! I called Todd about a weird problem with my refrigerator. He was able to come an hour earlier than he promised, which was very helpful for my schedule. After taking a look, he found that our problem was outside of his scope of work. He was very professional and courteous, and he didn't charge for the visit, since he wasn't able to fix the problem. I found Todd on Yelp, and I'm sure glad that I did. I was wondering if all the reviews were real given the high marks, but I went ahead and gave Todd a call. He answered the phone himself and quickly assessed the situation with me over the phone. He is a clear professional who has a solid understanding of appliances. He was very professional and clear with me over the phone. I also appreciated his ability to help me think positive about the situation. Because I had work my brother had to let him into my place. Todd was quickly able to diagnose the problem with my washer. My brother told me that Todd was "awesome" and was even willing to go pick up a part rather than order it, which would have delayed my ability to wash my stinky workout clothes. Todd fixed my washer within a few hours of his initial arrival and I'm now happily doing my laundry without problems. The only minor gripe I have is that Todd moved my stackable washer and drier 6-8 inches, so I'm going to have to use all my muscle to move it back. However, I'm a wannabe He-Man, so it shouldn't be a problem. If I was a little old lady, I'd have a problem (namely, that I'd be nearing my last days). I needed my 14 (+) year old washer and dryer repaired. The other highly reviewed and recommended company (Washer Dryer guys) said it was "too old" and they wouldn't consider fixing it. I called this guy, he not only said no problem he asked for the serial numbers from each appliance (he fixed my convection oven fan too). Then he came with the necessary parts and fixed all three appliance in one trip. Total for all three was $429. All work great, no need for new appliances at this time. I am so grateful that I called Todd to help with a loud refrigerator ! I was sick to hear the loud purring/clanking sound coming from the fridge- I'm thinking, "oh geez, I'm going to have to buy a new refrigerator". And that is always a bad feeling. I knew that the fridge was an older model and was just about resigned to shoveling out some dough to get a new one. I read about Todd on Yelp and gave him a call. He returned my called within 20 minutes or so, and asked questions to make sure it was something he could help me with - he asked for the model number on the inside of the fridge (duh! I should have gotten that before I called!) and he made sure he could actually fix what was wrong before coming out. We agreed on a specific time and sure enough, he was there on the dot (I hate those "windows" other companies give you). He came out the next day with the needed part in hand and had the fridge running quietly, practically silently, within an hour, in and out. What a relief! It was a fraction of the cost of a new fridge and Todd charged me very fairly. Frankly, I was kinda surprised it wasn't more. I liked that he told me the exact price before doing any repair. I would highly recommend Todd. Our front loading washer machine started displaying an error code. Todd scheduled a time with me on the same day when others weren't available for another few days. He was very prompt and had our washer machine working in no time. He made sure it cycled through without any issues TWICE instead of rushing off right away and his price was more reasonable than the company without availability for another couple days. I would also note that the other companies would only give me a day and told me they would provide a two hour window the night before. Todd gave me a specific time which was incredibly helpful.
