I eventually fixed the problem myself, that was not related to his advice. Turns out the built in diagnostics were misleading on this Samsung refrigerator. I just kept replacing the sensors until I found the bad one. At least he was honest and saved me a service call charge. I fixed it myself for about $100 dollars. The honesty was that he couldn't help and didn't want to waste my money. I appreciate that.

I have a Govee monitor that has consistently shown the inside temp has not been below 43 degrees in days. The motor keeps making that kind of churning noise that it never made before. The MGM tech who was here for literally one whole minute said there's nothing wrong and refrigerators cycle through and regularly go up to 50 degrees. I have my control panel set at 33 degrees, which is too low but at 35, the recommended temp it wouldn't cool below 43 degrees so I changed it 36 hours ago to 33 and the temp doesn't decrease. My refrigerator stinks with rotten food but this MGM tech said food is safely stored at 50 degrees. Would you trust your families' health with this company? Would you eat chicken or fish or eggs stored at 50 degrees? It is 70 degrees on a beautiful Saturday in November- the technician clearly didn't want to work today. So, according to him, everything is fine and nothing needs repair - it's pretty fine that your refrigerator registers 50 degrees at 3 am with refrigerator door closed for six straight hours. Over an hour after tech left fridge temp is still at 42 with control panel set to 33- door hasn't been opened. Seven hours later still 42 degrees - I've texted them with photos of temps, web pages contradicting their tech's statements about food safety. ZERO response. I suspect the positive reviews here are planted. Stay away from MGM appliance repair and don't trust Godfrey.

The repairman diagnosed the problem as a wearing out of a simple part of the motor assesmbly that, given the product design, required a replacement of the whole assembly. The price quoted for the part and labor clearly supported a decision to replace rather than repair the 5 year old dishwasher. But upon shopping for a similar model, I was not satisfied with the currently available options, as none closely matched my other appliances. I recalled the very enthusiastic reviews I had seen of Wooten Appliance in Beltsville (kind of far from me), and thought I'd invest in a second opinion. What a good call that was! Daryl is a pro and a gentleman--extraordinarily skilled, and a person of integrity. He did his own examination and diagnosis, but to save time and service calls he prospectively ordered the part I had been told I needed, with the understanding that I wouldn't be responsible for purchasing it if he did not concur with the prior diagnosis. He did a fantastic job in repairing my machine with a brand new assembly, and additionally cleaned the gasket that had become caked with soap. He taught me what I had been doing wrong for 5 years that had accelerated the soap buildup--and how to clean it. He worked neatly and without making a mess. And he was competitive in his pricing. His receptionist / office manager, Rosemary, was key in this very fortunate save. When I called to request a second opinion she generously and capably facilitated this successful resolution, patiently and precisely conveying Daryl's questions, my answers, Daryl's quote, and my concurrence in multiple phone communications. She is a terrific facilitator. So glad I called Wooten and kept my beautiful and now rejuvenated dishwasher! I recommend Wooten Appliance with five stars, plus.

I had a very disappointing experience with Wooten Appliance Repair. They gave me a clear estimate of before starting the job, which I agreed to. However, after the work was done, I was shocked to be charged double than the agreed upon original estimate. The technician offered no explanation and no reasoning. This is completely unprofessional and unethical. Pricing should be based on the job, not who I am or where I live. I went ahead and paid the full amount. I would not recommend Wooten to anyone looking for honest or transparent service. I feel taken advantage of, and will be warning others to stay away.
