First and foremost, the technician whom was rude to my husband on the ring, which note he arrived earlier than indicated. My husband and I work, therefore could not be there at 1:30 p.m., and when we advised someone was on the way he told my husband "Hurry up man". I understand it is not his fault the person who was going to oversee for us wasn't there yet, but he was early and we did advise if he could just wait in his car for a few minutes to avoid the heat. Next, I told the technician on the phone that there are clothes stuck in there, which have been there for two days so it was of urgency to take out (anyone knows this). The technician did not advise that the door to my washer would lock up again, and my clothes are now stuck there...until who knows when they come back to do the repairs. and now that I recall, the last time took MONTHS!!! I then called the customer representative, one whose name I don't remember, and she provided me with vague instructions on how to remove the piece myself and call back if anything, but at least she provided me with some form of solution. I called back again as I did not want to risk trying to open it myself and perhaps cause more damages and was connected with a Destiny, a customer representative. Destiny was EXTREMELY rude, VERY argumentative, and insinuated that I was a liar. Clearly no sense of customer service....Overall, terrible experience with the exception of the first rep I spoke with. read more

Appliance Experts?? Really!! We had a range under warranty that needed repaired.. They came out Nov 4 said need parts sb 7-10 days.. No communication on parts. I called several time to find out what going on kept getting the run around. I then (4 weeks later) decided to called the manufacturer to see what's going on with the parts only to find they never ordered them so the factory called Appliance Repair Experts and got the part # & within 5 days the part was at the repair company. It took 5 weeks to get them out with the part only to find it was not the problem. Told me it could be another 2 parts which they'd order one by one & come back.. The office called to say they ordered the part and that was 2 weeks ago!!! Fortunately the manufacturer had and (in house) person who came out and completely knew what the problem is and ordered parts and they'll be installed today!!!! I read all the negative reviews and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt however with the inexperience of the tech and the horrible office lack of communication I'd warn anyone thinking of using them to NOT!!! read more

I would not trust this company. I called them to fix or replace my range hood. The young man they sent did not know what to do, was unable to tell me anything about what was wrong or what I needed to do to fix it. He spent his time doing internet searches on his phone, and asked me to help with that. He took photos and said he'd get back to me. I paid the $100 for this (he tried to overcharge me too). Unsurprisingly, he did not get back to me. I followed up with him, got a promise that he will get back to me, and then nothing. Meanwhile, the company called me repeatedly to ask if I wanted to proceed with the repair, and each time I had to explain to them that the guy hasn't given me any idea about what the repair will involve, how much it would cost, and so on. I tried contacting the management, left a couple of phone messages, and have not heard back. I feel scammed and suspicious about this company. I wish I had seen these reviews before I set up the appointment with this company. We have a brand new Bosch dishwasher that was giving an error message. You would think that, any person repairing appliances would be able to figure out that they needed to look and figure out what the error was saying. Well, the guy that came out told us that he would have to get the water out first and that would be $60. He was not going to be able to do anything else until we agreed to have that part of the repair started. We made the decision not to have him remove the water, because what he was there for was to get the dishwasher up and running. So I just got a call from the company telling me that they weren't going to be able to do the repairs because it was still under warranty. Now wait, he could do the repair of taking the water out but all the sudden we have to get it fixed by someone that handles things under warranty. Never mind that I told the person who I made the appointment with that the dishwasher was brand new. Wouldn't that be in the cue at that time for them to tell me because it was brand new, they wouldn't be able to do the repairs. I'm sure I'm going to have to eat the $70 see for them to come out and do exactly nothing. Do not call this company and have them come to your home. read more

Well, here's another crappy review for a company that is so bad that after 73 reviews they have only have a 1.5 stars rating her on Yelp. If we could have fired them, we would have, but Fidelity Home Warranty Insurance sent them so we were stuck with them. We called into Fidelity and these guys called us to schedule the repair for our washer two days later. Whatever, not the end of the world. The guy came and he was so unfriendly it bordered on rude. He asked what error message the washer gave us. We told him that it said "fe" (which means water is overflowing; it was) he argued with us for several minutes and told us it had to be a number. Well eventually, he whipped out his phone to look it up on his phone, which is exactly what I did, and declared that it was some inlet valve needs to be replaced, and that he doesn't have the part so it'll take 3-5 days to arrive. 7 days later we get a call on a monday telling us they JUST ordered our part, it will arrive on Friday and they'll come do the repair on Saturday. This means 2 weeks without the washer. Oh, and that we have to hire a handyman to unstack the dryer. Sigh. I offer to pay for a second tech to help move the washer. NOpe. They demand we get a handyman. Now I'm irritated, but whatever. Well, the guy arrives on Saturday to do the repair, and is every bit as unpleasant as he was the first time. In about 2 minutes flat he tells us it is done. We ask if he's run the washer to make sure it doesn't leak all over the floor again (knowing damn well he hasn't). He says "No I don't have *access* to the water valves). Well, the water valves are literally 2' away (see pic). As I'm leaning across the washer to turn them on (literally that's all it took) he's walking towards the door. When I ask him what we should do if it doesn't work he says, "It should work, if not call your insurance company" Seriously? NOt call us we'll come back out and make it right." Nope, the guy is to lazy and unprofessional to stand there, after I lean over to turn the water on to make sure the job is done properly. Well, guess what? YOu guessed it. The washer doesn't work. Now rather than water flowing onto my floor, the washer runs with no water at all flowing through it (Yes, I turned the water back on, yes, I can hear the water in the pipes, and I have no idea why the water isn't going into the washer). I call Fidelity back, they say I have to give these morons the opportunity to fix the work they botched. I haven't decided if I will do so yet. It might be easier and less aggravating to pay out of pocket and just hire someone else because, i have no doubt that these fools will take another several days to call us, and God knows how long to fix it. At this point I am out of patience, not to mention underwear, towels and socks. read more

Our refrigerator stopped working on May 18, 2024 and called our home warranty and was assigned Appliance Repair Experts. I read reviews of the company (yikes) and immediately called home warranty to request to change contractors which they would not allow. Technician came and hardly looked at the refrigerator and said he ordered parts (primarily compressor) to repair/fix and it would probably be a week or two. That was a lie because he needed authorization from home warranty to order parts. Made many calls after that and found the parts are ordered and should be arriving by a certain date. Found the ordering of parts did not happen as they said. Received no progress or help from their staff. We found the staff to be disrespectful, unprofessional, and untrustworthy. One phone call I had a question on the expected parts and asked to speak to the manager. The staff member told me hold on a second, got back on the phone and told me per the manager , I could not have the information I requested. I asked to speak to the manager, and she said the manager is too busy to talk to me. I left a voicemail and never received a phone call back. After many lies and disrespectful staff interactions, we got the home warranty to cancel their contract and give us a cash out forour refrigerator. Then the contractor received the compressor and we were told by home warranty that they refused to give the compressor to us, which technically would be our part. So this company got paid for a part they could use on another job or sell. Needless to say they were added to our do not use list with the home warranty. They told me also they would be having their complaint department look into this company. Highly recommend not using this company which I tried once being assigned, but had to go through weeks of this per home warranty policy. Would give them a zero rating if possible. read more

I think this is the first review I have ever written because I have never experienced such terrible service in the past. They are happy to take your money for the service visit but don't follow up afterwards. I was told three weeks after the initial appointment on 12-2-22 what the problem was for my ice-maker only because I called dozens of times before someone would pick up. There is no way to leave a message either. After insisting to know what exactly the part was they promised to call me back and find out if they could get it. Two more weeks went by with no reply so the phone calling cycle to contact them began again. Once I finally got through ( 1-5-23) I asked for a manager who did call me back but said she would not reveal who their supplier was that did not carry the part. ( I was at least informed finally of the name of the part. ) My intent was to find another repair company with a different supplier so I did not repeat the cost of another service call. This company is VERY DISHONEST!' Their technicians are personable but unfortunately DO NOT KNOW how to write their findings correctly! We have a dishwasher and AHS as our home warranty provider! That's another company that is DISHONEST as well! I'll yelp that company layer! After being contracted through AHS this company sent out the same technician out to inspect our dishwasher three time! On two of the visits he replaced parts WITHOUT fixing the dishwasher! Our dishwasher goes through it cycles but NEVER SHUTS OFF! The motor continues to stay on whereas you can hear it! The technician heard the motor running after a completed cycle himself! He was a loss for what to do said he would talk to his supervisor to see if he had encountered anything like what our dishwasher was doing! Five days later we get a call from AHS stating that the technician stated that there was NO MECHANICAL FAILURE with our dishwasher! So there was a 3 way call between myself, AHS, and Expert Appliance Repair. I told her that she needed to speak with technician herself to get the correct diagnosis but she insisted that the tech was out in the field snd could not be disturbed, They are incorrect so I offered to send them a video of our dishwasher that keeps running after a cycle! Whereas they were not interested in a video! I'M GIVING EVERYONE A WARNING about this company! They get contracted out by these home warranty companies and then lie about the diagnosis so as the home warranty companies don't have to pay for replacement of appliances! I made a claim through my home warranty company and this is the company they had sent out to my home. It took a month from the time I made the claim for them to actually arrive. The two repairmen came in spent about 5 minutes and said they would have to order the part for my appliance, handed me a receipt and walked out. That was 3 months ago. They never came back, I have called a dozen times and have yet to receive a call back. After speaking to my Home Warranty rep, I was told the company said they completed the job. So beware of this company. I also was having them do another job for me which they insisted I pay upfront for. So I paid the $193.50 and he said he would be back in 3 days to complete the work. It has been 120 plus days and no response and no call backs or refund. I have contacted and filed a complaint with the California Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair #A45177 I have contacted and filed a complaint with the BBB where you have 12 pending complaints 1/5 rating. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! If I could leave zero stars, I would! This company was sent out by my home warranty for my washing machine. Serviceman Yan showed up at my door. When I opened the door, I told him just give me a moment to lock the dogs up. He didn't even respond. So, I closed the door, locked the dogs up, and then let him in. I apologized for the wait, again, he didn't respond. I then showed him where the machine was located. I explained one problem I was having and while trying to explain the second problem, he talked over me and never listened to the second issue. He then began grabbing towel from the top of my washer to put in the washer. He never asked me if it was OK to use the towels he was grabbing, and ultimately mixed up my bath towels with rags, which I never wash together! He said he let the cycle run and finish and there was no problem. I explained there is definitely a problem being that this happens daily. He said, "well, it's not doing it now, so there is nothing I can do about it." I tried telling him the code my machine was giving, he ignored that too. He marked my paperwork that I am overloading the washer and that's why the machine shuts off. I told him there was one shirt and one pair of shorts in the machine the most recent time it happened. He again told me I was overloading the machine. He also pointed to what he referred to as a blanket, which was actually a small throw and told me that is too much to put in my washer. I have a high capacity, extra large, front loading machine. This technician's statements were so idiotic, I couldn't believe what he was saying! He said the machine finished a cycle and turned off with no problem so he was leaving. I told him he needed to tune up his customer service skills. He waved his hand in the air and said have a good day ma'am! He was rude, arrogant, ignorant, and NO HELP! When I went to my machine, IT WAS STILL RUNNING! It wouldn't stop! After 15 minutes, I finally shut it off manually. The towels he put in the machine were sopping wet, they didn't drain. This didn't happen before, so whatever he did, made my machine worse! I called the office, spoke with the office manager who accepted no accountability. She just kept repeating that Yan marked down no problem with machine. When I asked for someone above her, she stated there wasn't anyone. I said she is not a supervisor or owner, so there has to be. She said they don't talk to customers. At that point, I hung up and called my home warranty company. I plan to report them to the BBB as well. This should not happen to consumers! read more

Assigned the company by my home warranty. I called them after waiting two days for a call from them. The earliest they could come was 10 days later. With the appointment time window being nearly the entire day, I asked if they would call me 30 minutes prior to their arrival. The appointment was today. I received a phone call saying the technician is at my home but no one is there. I explained I did not receive a call from them as promised, but I could be back at my home within a few minutes. I was put on hold (I assume she called the technician). After on hold, she informed me the technician already left. Our security cameras showed he was in fact still at my home. I asked to speak with the office manager. Office manager, karla, was very unpleasant and unprofessional. She insisted she called and left a voicemail. There was no call made and no voicemail left. I was told the only option is to reschedule. I asked to speak to her manager or supervisor. She claimed she didn't have one. I asked about the owner(s) and was told they don't talk to customers. Interesting because I read this same thing in another poor review of this company. There is a clear reason why this company has all around terrible reviews. Avoid them from the start. Request a different contractor before you end up being disappointed like so many others. I cannot imagine how they are in business. read more

Used AHS insurance for appliance repair experts. They sent out ALEX nice older gentleman but did not speak a word of English. I think he was Russian. We used his phone to translate. In the end he got the diagnosis correct. BUT they said they had weekend, Sat hours which they did come out on a Sat. But when they called to put in the part they refused to come out on a Sat, which is the only way I could do it as I live out of town. They refused to try and work out things just said NO Saturdays anymore sorry. So I had to have a neighbor meet them BUT they never showed up or called. I called them and they said there system was done and so they had to cancel all repair visits that day. What a waste of time and they would NOT honor their word about coming out on a Saturday after they told me they had Sat hours. What business works this way. they do not care because they get plenty of business from American Home Shield. I complained to AHS but to no avail. MY rec stay away and demand a different company. read more

This company was dispatched by our Home Warranty company to fix our dishwasher. 1) The technician has made 4 trips to our home to attempt to repair. Every time they have needed to order an additional part. They do not know what they are doing. 2) Their purchasing department does not order parts directly from the manufacturer and when their 2nd party supplier couldn't get a part we had to wait all the while the manufacturer had it in stock. 3) Their office never answers the phone hold times are at least 30 minutes. 4) Set up appointment to come and install the 5th part they ordered. On day of appointment 1.5 hours into the time frame they provided for our appointment they called to say they are not coming because they have the wrong part and they need to order the correct part. They blamed the home warranty company. I called home warranty company and they checked no one had called them yet and they try to call Appliance Repair Experts, waited 30 minutes and no one came to phone. 5) We have now waited 6 months to have a dishwasher repaired.
