Our fridge had these intermittent rattling sounds that appeared to be more frequent as the week…read morewent on. I used the Yelp app to request a quote from the company since there were a lot of positive reviews. The company responded super quickly, despite it being on a Saturday morning and even offered to take a look at the fridge that day. We weren't able to have them come on that day and they offered to come on Sunday. Amazing. Sergey called before coming and came super promptly to our house. (At 8:10 a.m - was given the window between 8-11 am). He first diagnosed our random rattling sound as our ice maker (which has been frozen over for years). He proceeded to chip away at our ice and turned it off since we weren't using it anyway. I thought that was it and felt a little worried since I had doubts the cause of the rattling was solely due to the ice maker, but he then asked how long the rattling was happening (about a week) and then pulled the fridge out to check the back. He said it was our compressor and although the fridge would rattle, he said it would be about $1500 to change the part. Said it wouldn't affect the efficacy of the fridge so we opted to just live with the rattle. Charged only the $89 diagnostic price. I expected more since he had cleared away our frozen ice, but he didn't charge us for that. The entire visit took about 30 minutes and while he wasn't the warmest or friendliest person, he was professional and thorough. Would call this business again if we had problems with any of our appliances.

I had decided to get my (really old) Frigidaire ice maker fixed last November and contacted another…read morerepair service (unnamed here but I left a review) who came out the day after I called and left a msg (that should've been my first red flag regarding their customer service follow up). I should add that it's a second fridge so not used regularly. The other guy came out and removed the ice maker from the fridge to determine what the issue was and what parts he needed. He removed a bunch of tubing that was the water supply and said he'd be back in a couple of days after getting the parts. That was on a Thursday (11-4-2020). No call back by Saturday morning so I happened to check the fridge and found the water from the ice maker was leaking and completely froze all on the inside of the freezer, preventing the door from even opening. I called several times and left multiple messages and texts to the other guy but absolutely no response....I was panicked so looked for another plumber. Morris Refrigeration to the rescue. I explained the entire situation and he came out within the hour. Before coming out he gave me a solid idea of what he would be doing (and not doing) and how much it would cost. He even helped remove the ice using a heated blower and installed a shut-off on the main water line feeding the freezer (which I thought the other guy either did or at least should've done). Morris Refrigeration was very courteous and the cost was reasonable. He said he wouldn't "cut the other guy's line" and fix the ice maker since he had already started the work and ordered the parts....very honorable. If I ever need any kind of appliance (or non-major plumbing) service, I would definitely contact Morris Refrigeration. #ServiceStarShoutOut

Although there was an initial scheduling delay due to the fact that Alan is a one man repair team,…read morehis wife Sheila did a great job keeping me in the loop and updated with Alan's progress. Alan came, assessed my refrigerator ice maker malfunction and repaired it, all within about 30 minutes. Great service and value. I would highly recommend. I'd like to note that I called three other appliance repair companies listed on Yelp and I didn't even get a call back from any of them, just Young's.

I rarely leave really bad reviews but in this case I made an exception. I don't know if this is…read moretypical of their "customer service" but my experience with them so far has been pretty bad. First of all I called and left a message on Wednesday morning (11-4) to see if they could fix my Kenmore refrigerator ice maker. It's a really old (14 yrs) fridge and actually hadn't been working in at least 8 years. I have another fridge so it had never been an issue till my second fridge started going bad and I had to shut it off and order another one that was going to be delivered in two weeks on the 18th. They called me back later that day and the lady (I found out it was the owner's wife) asked me several questions about my fridge to first make sure they could handle the repair and then scheduled a service call for Thursday between 1:30pm-3:30pm. I thought so far, so good. On Thursday I waited.....and waited.....and waited. At 3:24 I called and left a message asking if they were on their way. At 3:54 Allan Young called from his cell saying that he was finishing up a job in Kaneohe and would be on his way. He arrived a little after 4pm to start the job. He removed the ice maker several times to check the issue and finally took it apart and found the motor was frozen. He removed some parts and tubing and put everything back and said he would need to replace the unit and should be picking it up on Friday. He didn't charge me at that point which I thought was nice and said he would be back and would write it up after it was completed. He verbally quoted the part at around $125 for a "generic" replacement rather than $250 for the original version, which I was okay with. Now the fun starts..... No word from him on Friday so I called their number. Apparently, they never answer the phone; you have to leave a message and hope they will call you back...they did not. On Saturday morning I tried to open the freezer door and found it would not open because whatever Allan had done on Thursday caused water to start leaking out of the broken ice maker and drip all down the inside of the freezer walls, shelves and the door. The water had frozen solid and built up around the door so that it wouldn't open!! I had to take a knife sharpener and chip away at the ice on the door so that I could finally get it open. Then I had to clear out all the other ice that had frozen down the walls, shelves and the bottom of the freezer. WHAT A MESS!! I called them back but no answer and no response. I remembered that he called me from his cell so I called him but no answer and his voice mailbox was full and couldn't take any messages....not a good sign. I texted him the issue along with a few pictures of the problem and asked him to call me back...no reply. It is now Monday morning and I haven't heard back from them at all and I have had to deal with this ice issue all weekend. Their office message says they'll be closed on Monday 11-9 and Wednesday 11-11, but they'll check their messages and call back "as soon as possible". The only thing I could do was to leave another message and then start looking for someone else to do the repair. I know that things are difficult during Covid times but I feel it is inexcusable for a service company to not even reply or respond to my numerous messages; especially when it is a problem that THEY caused. I am always willing to revise my review and opinion of them but at least have the courtesy to CALL BACK!. WHAT A NIGHTMARE THIS HAS BEEN!! UPDATE...11/14/2020 Okay, I have updated my review and revised my rating from 1 Star to 3 Stars. Allan's wife Sheila, finally returned my call on Monday afternoon and I explained the problems I had over the weekend. She was apologetic and said Allan was not working all week but we made an appointment for Friday afternoon. (I got in touch with another repair person on Sunday and paid him $100 to install a shutoff on my fridge water line. He came prepared with a hand-held steamer and was nice enough to remove most of the frozen ice). On Friday, Allan arrived and I explained the situation and he saw he had to remove the ice that was still frozen around the old ice maker. He cleaned and flushed out the water line and the overall repair took a little over an hour. At least it is finally done and working. Sheila called me about 20 minutes after he finished to check on the status and make sure I was satisfied, which was a nice touch (I don't know if she normally does that or called because of the problems I had). In summary, I can't give them 5 Stars because of the water leak that Allan originally caused. I feel that should not have happened or at least they could have installed a shutoff in the first place. I was actually going to give them 4 Stars but decided against that after my conversation with Allan. I told him that his voice mail was full and asked if he got my texts and photos I sent. He actually said he did but hadn't really checked his phone all weekend!!

From my first phone call with Lynne, customer service and communication were excellent! I like that they send reminder confirmations the day prior to the appointment. Justin came out to service the dishwasher and was able to diagnose the problem right away. He was very informative and professional in his approach and extremely knowledgeable. We needed to order a part for the repair and his return visit went very smoothly. He even caught something that I would never have noticed about the dishwasher door. He fixed it and everything was perfect. I would not hesitate to contact Ace Appliance Service for my future needs.

On the day of the appointment they called to update me on the time and promptly showed up as scheduled. They charge $250 to come out and take a look which is fair since I don't expect them to drive to your place and work for hours without getting compensation. Justin was very knowledgeable and took the time to fully explain what was going on with our oven. Fortunately, it didn't need any repairs and we now have a much better understanding of how it works.
