I use Yelp a LOT for store hours and advice from others. I feel like half the users here are just to slam people for bad service. I was experiencing dishwasher issues. I am not the first owner of our new home so I googled and found that our Viking model had a recall. I was able to get parts shipped to me and Viking gave me two numbers to call for the part to be repaired. I called Appliance Service Group and one other company. Natalie responded to me quickly and professionally and was able to schedule Rafael on my day off, which was nice. Unfortunately, my dishwasher had an infestation of roaches that ate the mother board. No part delivered could repair that. Rafael suggested we just buy a new one and I agreed, after looking at the damage. I will say that I will call them in the future with any appliance problems. If ZERO STARS were an option, I'd give them that rating!!! First of all, after 4+ service calls, my fridge isn't repaired. Every time Raphael came, he'd fix one problem, and break something else. Example: Fridge wasn't cooling... he fixed it... then ice maker wouldn't work. He said give it 24 hours and it would start again.. Nope... Example 2, he came to fix ice maker, then got the freezer door so out of line, it wouldn't close, so all frozen food melted...again.... But, despite the inadequate repair skills...that wasn't even the worst thing about dealing with them. The worst thing is NATALIE. First of all, she tries to make you believe they are a big company with "service technicians" that she will be calling/scheduling. They are 2 people. No service technicians...just her husband. When I called to inquire about the status of a part that was on order (I was told it would be overnighted in and 10 days later, I am still waiting for repair....with no fridge) she immediately became indignant and told me I just needed to find a different repair company. She has the WORST customer service of anyone I have ever encountered in any industry period. She was rude and offensive. I tried to explain to her that I wasn't looking to start over with a new company as I had not had a fridge for 10 days, and that I simply wanted to know the status of the part, she still kept insisting that I use "another" company because I wasn't satisfied with their service. I have never been treated more rudely over the phone. Ever. I am contacting Viking to request that they be disqualified as an authorized warranty repair company. Also filed a complaint with BBB, but they aren't even an accredited business. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE, DO NOT WORK WITH THIS SO-CALLED COMPANY!!! read more

Thermador makes some great products but even great products need service sometimes. Appliance Service Group was listed as one of three local providers and they had the earliest availability and lowest service call price of the three. Quick and courteous service, excellent follow up, a smaller than usual service window than most (think waiting all day for someone to show up), and related research done by the company to inform me of and perform service on a recalled power cord. I appreciated the use of text in order to expedite the assessment for the service to be performed and the updates provided via text. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for servicing of their appliances, especially the higher end stuff, reach out to Appliance Service Group for top notch service that is expertly executed. The company respects the time of its customers and provides clear communication as to the status of parts, scheduling and again provided research I was unaware of and had not been notified by Thermador about. This company with Natalie and Rafael is amazing. They are very prompt and totally accommodating and Rafael is so knowledgeable about the products. My GE Monogram refrigerator was broken and not cooling and so I called and Natalie responded that they were on vacation and would be back in a few days. The morning they got home she called me and had Rafael come out that morning. He diagnosed the problem and said he needed to order a part. They got the part in 2 days and that afternoon Rafael came by and installed the part and now my Refrigerator is back to new again and working perfectly. My range hood wouldn't shut off, so the extended warranty company connected me with Appliance Service Group. I left a voicemail with my information and the office lady promptly returned my call and scheduled a servicer to diagnose the problem. The tech Rafael came over, with a mask on, and determined what part needed to be ordered. When it arrived, Appliance Service Group texted me and we scheduled an appointment for the next day, and it was quickly and profesionally fixed. This may sound mundane, but I was expecting worse. Not only did she get back to me, but she told me to turn off my breaker to my electric stove top, and that would most likely reboot the system. It worked. Not only do I appreciate her responsiveness, but also how she tried to help me fix it over the phone. Look, this is a husband and wife team and they work hard. One of the big bosses at Servco told me that when noone else can fix your stuff, call Rafael. He was right. Rafael fixed a monogram fridge for me that I had 5 people check before. Now today I had an appointment for my fridge and when he was on his way, I had to cancel because my fridge started working after not working for 10 days! They were very nice about it. I manage a condo unit in Waikiki and when our tenants informed me that the Viking dishwasher was not working I said "no problem -- I will find someone to come over and check it out." This proved harder than I thought because there are VERY few companies in Honolulu that service Viking appliances. I happened upon Appliance Service Group through Yelp and they are one of the best companies I have worked with. Natalie took my call and was very helpful, friendly and efficient. She took my information and reached out to the tenants and quickly arranged a date when the dishwasher could be serviced. I heard later from our tenant that he had to move the date a few times because of work, and Natalie was really accommodating and flexible in setting up a time to see what was going on with the dishwasher. On the day, our tenant informed me that Rafael, the service technician was very pleasant and nice and walked our them step by step through his diagnosis of the dishwasher. He called me from the unit and explained that it was the motherboard that was shot -- and sadly that these motherboards were no longer in production. The dishwasher needed to be replaced completely. I asked about recommended brands and Rafael was able to recommend brands on par with Viking but where I might be better able to find repair services and parts. Rafael was prompt, more than fair in what we were charged, and honest. These are qualities that anyone that has to have work done on their home or unit can appreciate. Natalie was really helpful and returned calls right away -- the communication both from the office and from the field is elite level with Appliance Service Group. Natalie the scheduler was prompt in returning my calls, and followed up every step of the way. I did not find her rude. I found her to be point blank and to the point, which is how it should be. The service rep was prompt and reviewed our range hood problem to be simpler and cheaper to fix than the first inefficient service man! The first man from another company told us we needed a new motor! And He did not get back to us! So I called Appliance Service Group and received PROMPT response and EXPERTISE! Our serviceman found that the duct was hitting the blade and that's what was making the horrendous noise! He fixed it for 1/4th the cost of a new motor and installation! Our motor was fine! My experience with Appliance Service Group was a blessing! Natalie scheduled my appointment and was very sweet. I was very impressed with Rafael's integrity, skill-level, work ethic and prompt service. The 2 burners on my Thermador stove were not working. He came diagnosed the problem thoroughly and effectively, ordered the necessary parts, gave me suggestions on another problem I had and when he came back the 2nd time, he did the repair in about 15 minutes. I watched his work and it was masterful! He knew what he was doing. He even made the time to check my refrigerator which has also been showing signs of needing repair. He accurately diagnosed that problem and will do that repair next week. He was very kind not to charge me another service call fee which would have been fair for him to charge me.
