Disappointing. APPRO responded fastest to my Yelp request to determine why my broiler and oven both stopped working the same day. But - the tech was late. Using a voltmeter, he claimed that both igniters needed to be replaced. However, the one igniter he had in his personal vehicle was the wrong one and said he'd have to come back. While possible, its seemed unlikely that both igniters would die the same day. I did some research and learned that the tech should also have checked the board, gas valve, and perhaps the wires behind the oven. I communicated this info by email and the company said they would get back to me in an hour. Never heard from them again. The next company figured out that just the oven ignitor was out and had one in the truck. Problem solved that day. APPRO at least had the common sense not to try to charge me for the visit. Lesson learned, Fast response isn't always the best. Talk to the company before they come out. read more

The problem was 2 of the 4 top burners would not light with the automatic starters. They would all light with a match. Appro came 3 times and kept ordering parts but in the end said that they could not fix it and returned my deposit. It is now worse than ever with only one burner working, The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because they tried. However they also left the kitchen messy after they left. read more

They were very responsive with scheduling an appointment, but when they arrived they couldn't figure out how to pull the dishwasher out from under the counter. Still paid $30 diagnostic fee. Maybe they are okay with easy repairs but they certainly weren't able to handle my situation. Not recommended. read more

Responsive from the beginning and communicated (often) from pre-visit, to checking the fridge and quickly identified what the part that stopped working. After the repair was finished I was shown the area where the part was, the part that went bad, and said to check the fridge to make sure it started cooling again. After failing to hear back from one appliance repair company and being told by another that they couldn't perform the work, I contacted AP Pro. Fred from AP Pro returned my telephone call promptly and was at the house the very next morning to troubleshoot my under the counter KitchenAid ice maker. Fred was focused and really worked hard to figure out what was wrong. The unit needed a new control board which Fred quickly ordered. To my surpride, the part was delivered from a New England based distributor and arrived at AP Pro early the following week. Fred was out immediately to install the new part and finish troubleshooting the unit. Fred even called that evening to check to see if ice was being made (it was) and offered to return if this was not the case. Their technician diagnosed the problem promptly as a malfunction in the motherboard, which he tried to fix on the spot but couldn't. Only getting one star for coming out and finding the issue in a timely manner. After that it went all downhill. Fred the owner (supposedly) was not professional at all. He said he had a higher up boss so I asked him to give me their info and he did not. Took two weeks to get the part, which was okayed verbally to do it asap( but didn't remember because he was on his phone the majority of the time!) Came out and was very late and not on time scheduled and kept calling to say sorry he will be here 20 min. Then again 20 min. Then again 10 min. Then again 7 min, but never showed up any of those times. Was here for about hour and half and did not care about our countertops as he just threw all his tools and the pieces he took out the fridge and not being careful. Water was all over our floors and he didn't have anything prepared himself for this. Broke and damaged some pieces in our fridge and just said "oh that's not important."Was on his phone the majority of time again and not focused. Very very unprofessional and then come to the part to replace it ....., he got the WRONG PART and our issue was not fixed. So it wasted our time. Do not use this guy and go to another reliable and professional company. You have been warned. I have all this recorded on camera too!! He will reply that he did this and that but i have evidence of him breaking pieces and damaging my fridge parts and it's in my home. So he is a liar and will lie again and again so it's good to have pics and video to back up my story! read more

Fuad responded amazingly promptly to my online inquiry that I posted around 9pm and Benjamin came the next day about 12pm as scheduled and solved my dryer belt issue, also addressing some other issues and explaining some possible observations with another appliance (our Washing Machine). Very pleased with Fuad and Benjamin's service, professionalism, explanations, and efficiency in service. Glad I chose to work with them. I'd also add in response to a negative review which observes that a dryer belt only costs a few bucks that you seem not to understand what you're paying for when you hire an appliance professional. They need to take apart the whole machine and put it back together safely *after* diagnosing the problem(s) and potential additional problems, while keeping inventory of parts, and being prepared to respond promptly to strangers online, and come to their house in less than 24 hours, and provide expertise and advise about related issues. So of course they need to charge more than just the cost of the belt, just as a carpenter chargers you for more than the cost of nails and just as a doctor charges more than the cost of the threads they use to stitch you up. If I had tried to even take a guess that maybe the belt was the problem, order it myself, wait days for it to arrive, even try to open up the dryer taking it apart, putting it back together and maybe just maybe getting it back together correctly without dying in the process.. well.. maybe I would have survived after many days and hours of agony in the process, but then I still wouldn't have had the benefit of a lot of very helpful advice and observations from Benjamin who advised me not only about the repair he was doing, but quite a few other things I was grateful to learn to save money in the future with things I can more easily do myself. read more

We wish we would have just bought a new appliance from the start. The water to our fridge had stopped working. The diagnosis provided by APPRO was to replace the filter, and they charged us 30 bucks to tell us that. We would change the filter regularly, so we were fairly certain that wasn't the issue; however, we took their word for it since we were about due for a filter replacement anyway. Needless to say that didn't work. We contacted them again, and they gave us a quote for a full waterline replacement (With another consultation fee charged of course). Most of the time one guy was outside on the phone while the other was waiting for him to get off the phone. To add insult to injury they destroyed our wood floors when they did the job. Sliding the fridge across them deeply scratched the wood. They were warned by us that this could happen, and we provided towels to help prevent it; however, they didn't use the towels adequately if at all. When we mentioned the property damage and provided pictures, the explanation they gave was "the fridge was heavy". At this point we were willing to let things go since the waterline in the fridge worked. Well a few weeks later it stopped working again. We reached out about warranty work. After some back and forth they came out and gave us a quote to fix something else. We agreed since they seemed to be trying to be fair (plus we had already spent a little over 500 dollars), but we hadn't heard anything back in over a month before we decided to cut our losses and get a new fridge. Our issue was that our fridge worked minus the waterline, so we didn't want to be wasteful. We now regret that decision after working with APPRO. We bought a new fridge and couldn't be happier with our purchase. Working with APPRO resulted in spending 500-600 dollars for a repair that didn't last a month, property damage caused by them of over 1000 dollars, and excuses for the terrible job that was done. When we had our new fridge installed, the deliverer used sliders to ensure the floors weren't scratched when either the old fridge or the new one was moved, so the floors were not damaged further. This shows APPRO was simply careless and didn't have the right equipment to get the job done. read more
