He was friendly and communication was clear. The dishwasher ended up having a loose connection that was tightened but was a little moreccomplicated due to how the dishwasher was recessed (was previously replaced 2 years prior so it's not too difficult). The whole repair probably took a little over an hour and I expected to pay close to what the others quoted but to my surprise he was charging us a premium. When I questioned the price the gentleman stated he made a mistake and he quoted me the price he would of charged if he went out to source a part. Last I checked he never left the kitchen..? This kind of shady practice is why a lot of us consumers are weary and ask for up front pricing. I still ended up paying more than I would of but it was simply to end the contract. I cannot in good conscience recommend SkillRam. EDIT - Response to owner First of, no quote was provided beforehand and I can screenshot the whole conversation. Did you also forget that was the same conversation where you took the liberty to schedule 10am despite the fact that I clearly stated "anytime AFTER 12pm" forcing me to care for my child while balancing this repair. Second, the gentleman backtracked on the price when I questioned it and stated the $320 price was due to an extra charge to source parts. Please dont claim you are innocent because I have the receipts to prove my claim. What an awful way to do business. Repair man fixed the fridge and verified functionality. Fridge was working like new. My fridge was under warranty. The warranty was very tedious but technician gave all information requested. It took about few months to get warranty approved because they put asking for more info. Technician always responded promptly when I requested more info. Once the new part arrived, he quickly coordinated a time to replace the circuit card in my LG refrigerator. Hasmat came to install the downdraft cooktop. He mentioned I need to have a new flexible duct, gas regulator and gas connector which I paid for when I purchased the product but not delivered. The job is not a standard installation which I paid the appliance company and they left uninstalled and I called 5 times and waited for 1 month for them to get back to me. Finally they let me know I need to pay extra. I decided to find my own installation company to do it faster and better value. Hasmat came on time, diagnosed the problem, got me the parts I need and didn't charge me extra for his trip to Home Depot which I appreciate a lot. We coordinated our schedules on Saturday and he was prompt on his arrival time. He quoted a price for labor earlier and stuck to it. The only other charge was for the part that needed to be replaced.
