I have been an Aptive customer since 2021 and had been pleased with their service in the past. Today I canceled their service due to poor service and customer support. They tried to say previous included services were no longer part of my plan and wanted to charge me additional fees. The technician left before completing the work. When I called customer service, after speaking with 3 different people, they were of no help. One representative even told me they already charged me for a service never completed. Not until canceling with Aptive did they inform me I would not be charged. The representative also confirmed that I should not have been told I would have to pay additional charges. By the way, I spoke to the customer service and was told I was on a 1 year contract with them which I was never told when the rap signed me up. Their rap said you can cancelled the service at any time. We ended up with a huge argument and finally they said they will cancel my service without charging me. I knew it won't be that easy, so I had to call my bank to block this company from any future charges. As expected, few days later they called back and told me to pay the early termination fee of $199 or they will send it to collection. Horrible customer service, ineffective pest control. Over a year of telling them there was a rat in my garage, over and over every technician, would just add more bait to ineffective traps. We fall on hard financial times and express they are not able to catch the rat, and not worth the price also financial hardship wanted even more money to get out. Representative for Aptive come by AGAIN today. Already told them no thanks twice before. Took me a while to answer the door and caught the guy looking around my kitchen through the window. WTH?! Gave me very creepy, casing the joint, vibes. Opened the door, and like before, they immediately start dropping names of the people on my street who they are supposedly doing business with. Why would it matter if they tell me Neighbor X used them, or not? It's not an actual referral. Then they start immediately going into the sales pitch about mosquitos... We have very little foliage in our yard, no standing water, regularly treat our patio furniture, etc. Spraying would be next to useless, and even if we did need it, we already have a pest control company we use. And I tell them that every time, and every time they want to know who we use and won't let it go. So pushy. I get that they are trying to make a sale, but I am under zero obligation to tell them who I do business with, especially when it's some stranger who has approached me while I'm at home. This time when I got tired of repeating that we already had someone, and no, I was not interested in continuing to discuss it with them, and began closing the door; the representative got really rude and said, so you don't got anyone then. Aptive - Eastvale has been awesome the past 5 years in our new community. Super responsive and friendly. NEVER had an issue with ants after the first spray. Had an issue with mosquitoes and they added traps. Now no mosquito issues! I had a wasp nest near my two-story roof, which they took care of easily. They're also very knowledgeable and can advise a creature's behavior. I don't understand the negative reviews. I think different locations should be reviewed differently. I am very happy with the service and totally recommend them if you're local. read more

Beware! One day a sales representative from Aptive pest control came to my house and offered Aptive services for pest control, his name was Mathew. He offered a one time treatment for fifty ($50). I issued a check for $50 to start same day. Few days later, I received a text message to let me know there is a follow up visit to check if the initial service was satisfactory. Days went by and upon looking at my account, there was several bills posted on my account. I call Aptive customer service and found out that I signed a contract for monthly service. The customer service that picked up the line was from Africa who was very very difficult to understand besides the line was bad. I was on hold for 45 mins then the call was dropped. I made a few more attempts but was unsuccessful, I decided to check my account with the local bank just to find out that the check I issued was never cashed but instead Aptive was using the routing # and account # to charge multiple charges. This is fraud practice by this company Aptive pest control. If you get a sales representative come to offer services, please don't buy on this one time offer otherwise you will be a victim just like me. Aptive sold me originally based on mosquito control. The traps they placed in my yard never worked and they were always out of refills for the in home plugs. They are terrible at customer service and my dog died because they left a bait trap open. They denied my claim and any responsibility and no one is available to talk to about it other than their customer service people who only put a note in the file but don't do anything. It is a horrible, tragic way to lose a beloved pet and they are horrible to ignore the problem. I hope no one else has to go through this due to poorly trained , negligent personnel. They also brushed black dirt onto all of my white eaves which took forever to get them to clean. I told him several times that we were not interested in the service to which he replied "but are you the owner?". Super unproffesional, as I closed the door he said to not worry that he could wait here for the owner. He left a couple minutes later. I signed up with Aptive a few months back. I called in and spoke to a representative where I was promised monthly services for a $69 reoccurring charge. Everything was fine until fall came around then they started to skip a month but continued to bill me. I called and spoke to a representative which was over sees and did not understand what I was calling for and I had a hard time understanding them so I asked to speak to a manager. Unfortunately I was transferred to a manager named Miles James. He was the rudest, unprofessional manager I have ever spoken to in my life. I really hope that the call was recorded like I was told it was. He was absolutely no help. I asked to speak to his manager but he said he was the top manager. He eventually hung up on me because I refused to continue arguing with him. I reported this horrible company to the better business bureau. I scheduled an appointment for 8/20/2025 between 8am and 10am. I called at 10:05 as no one had reached out to me. I received lip service from the call center person, oh he will be calling you quickly I just spoke with him. I called back at 11am, again oh he is very busy today he will get to you. They rang, not once, but THREE times today at 1:32pm, at 7:35pm, and again at 8:47pm. The third time I answered him directly through my Ring Camera and asked him to read the sign and get off my property or I will call the police. Absolute worst company ever! Guy comes to our door and sells us this awesome thought of not having mosquitos anymore. Long story short, not only do I have triple the amount of mosquitos, but now I have tons of spiders and all sorts of other insects. The previous company didn't get any of the cobwebs or spiders in my garage or doorways if I didn't see them come I would have never known. This company does not deserve even one star. Every treatment visit after the first time had an issue. Each treatment was done by a different representative, and each time an area was skipped. Not completed as promised when signing initial agreement. One visit I was charged for a no show. I was home, gate unlocked, & no one rang the doorbell. My dog never barked. The technician returned and knocked so lightly at my door if I hadn't been within 2 feet of door I would not of heard the light tap at my door. I notified company I needed to schedule the dates not them due to other workers on property such as a poolman. They continued to schedule and did not reply to texts, email or phone calls. I feel so RIPPED OFF by this company in so many ways. BEWARE! Wish I had researched the company first, because there are a lot of unhappy customers and lawsuits. Kevin Arroyo sold me a full-property service plan that was stated to exceed the level of service I previously had from Urbanex and also include fire ant coverage for the entire property. If I recall correctly, he said he was a manager with his brother that ran the Plano office. After I received an email, it looks like he was a sales rep and lied to me about his position. Before switching to Aptive, I had just finished a service from Urbanex the previous week, and at that time I had zero pest concerns. The only reason I switched over was because I could combine multiple services and seemed like it would cover more property with a slightly higher cost. I explained to Kevin that the primary concern is companies scheduling service without any coordination and then showing up when I'm not available and not being able to treat the inside and make sure they're actually treating the property. I was told the first day that the full service would treat the entire property, but the weather was bad, so there was concern about being able to spray the roofline of the home. Kevin stated that they would come back to do a second full treatment since they were running out of daylight and the weather was bad. As I monitored the crew, they sent some initial pictures, but I did not see them actually complete a lot of the service. It seemed more like they took pictures to show they were doing work and never finished each task, but just wanted to make it look like they really treated the entire property. All of the existing Urbanex pest traps remained in my house, and I was told they would all be replaced. To this day, they have never been replaced. The follow-up treatment was supposed to have been a full property re-service since the first seemed rush and they didn't treat the full property, but I was not present and the bugs continued. Over the next couple months, I found a growing amount of pests in the home. Beetles, spiders, etc. I found wasp nests, and fire ant mounds began to multiply. I made a complaint on Google Reviews and scheduled a reserve. I received a text message for a service date that was not ok. I requested a new date and the only options I was given was a month or two later, which was unacceptable. Just going around the yard to take care of my trees, I accidentally stuck my hand into a fire and mound that was hidden under grass. I am highly allergic and almost died by being stung previously. I called and complained and a woman told me she would schedule an entire full-property reservice that week, inside and out. The tech that came out said he was only given a shaker cup and was not told anything about a full property reservice. The truck itself was falling apart, and he said they did not give him anything to be able to take care of anything but fire ants. I also showed the tech the Urbanex traps that were still present on the property and he told me those should have been replaced on day one and routinely replaced. He admitted that he could not treat the property for all the issues I was still having, but said he would do what he can with what they gave him. He had no sprayer or any equipment. They didn't even give him personal protection equipment and the poor person was dealing with pesticide, and was very concerning to me. I gave the tech a pack of latex gloves, because someone needs to care about this guy's health. The tech found a significant amount of fire ant mounts all over the property that were not there prior to my service and noted that there was no way the property could have been treated properly. A week or so later, I went to check the areas he showed me, and the fire ants were still present, which tells me the chemicals being used are also not adequate, and they're just giving their techs granules and telling them it is effective when it's not. I had service with Aptive back in 2018 and cancelled the service after about a year because the techs would always try to show up when I wasn't around. If I was around, I would see them pull up and park, be on their phone in the truck for about 20-30 minutes and then walk around the property once with a backpack sprayer and leave. I gave this company another chance because Kevin Arroyo said all that had changed and that was not the same office. This was all clearly a lie to get a sale. Patrick Sinegar (Operations Manager Dallas) was made aware of my complaint and emailed June 18, 2025 with an apology, but no attempt to come rectify the pest issues has been made. read more
