Where do I start..... Just had my third service, the tech spent exactly 14 minutes here, sprayed insecticide on walls at shoulder height, soaked my front porch, even getting spray on my mailbox. My wife asked him to sweep spider webs from under the eaves above the front door - his reply was "I've already done that" - she told him he missed one, and he became condescending, saying " I've done it already but I can do it again" and did it. Also no consideration with a advance text message - he just showed up. And then there's the payment contract - I pay 65 a month believing it was a monthly visit for basic service, then I find out that it's every 45 to 80 days. Not happy. The only good thing was the phone call representative. The individual was understanding of the situation and helped me pull out of contract prior to services. Then sent a confirmation email. The downside is..I to am a victim of this as well. I do not want to blame the company but more so the sales rep. To put it short, watch out! They will pitch you a sale that sounds to good to be true only to send you a confirmation email with a completely different higher tier contract. To add to that, the CC was on file and they have pre planned scheduled appointments ready to be billed. It was not going to be a one-&-done type of thing. Do not use this Pest control company. The Door to Door sales person would not take "No thank you, I have a pest control service and I'm not looking to change" for an answer and would not leave my property. He tried banging on the front door and was told no thank you through my doorbell app. He then stood at my garage door and tried the sales pitch on me while I was busy with an urgent repair and did not stop talking or leave until I dropped what I was doing and with my kind and polite voice, told him to leave more than once. He waited and tested me until I was angered then walked away still talking. Sending minors out to households and let them be rude to people in late afternoon is raising the bar on poor soliciting. I used these guys for a year over 4 years ago. I was not satisfied with the results, especially when I started having an ant and flying insect problem. I called for return service and they never got back to me. So, I canceled my service. Fast forward to today. Guy comes and rings my doorbell. I have a No Soliciting sign right at my front door. I have been an Aptive customer since 2021 and had been pleased with their service in the past. Today I canceled their service due to poor service and customer support. They tried to say previous included services were no longer part of my plan and wanted to charge me additional fees. The technician left before completing the work. When I called customer service, after speaking with 3 different people, they were of no help. One representative even told me they already charged me for a service never completed. Not until canceling with Aptive did they inform me I would not be charged. The representative also confirmed that I should not have been told I would have to pay additional charges. As expected, few days later they called back and told me to pay the early termination fee of $199 or they will send it to collection. I would leave negative star rating if possible. Products do not work, and no option to transfer service without signing a new service agreement. Likely a violation that needs the attention of the FTC. Their customer service guaranteed a no-fee cancelation of service after several complaints, yet they continued to bill me. I signed up with Aptive a few months back. I called in and spoke to a representative where I was promised monthly services for a $69 reoccurring charge. Everything was fine until fall came around then they started to skip a month but continued to bill me. I called and spoke to a representative which was over sees and did not understand what I was calling for and I had a hard time understanding them so I asked to speak to a manager. Unfortunately I was transferred to a manager named Miles James. He was the rudest, unprofessional manager I have ever spoken to in my life. I really hope that the call was recorded like I was told it was. He was absolutely no help. I asked to speak to his manager but he said he was the top manager. He eventually hung up on me because I refused to continue arguing with him. I reported this horrible company to the better business bureau. Gave me very creepy, casing the joint, vibes. Opened the door, and like before, they immediately start dropping names of the people on my street who they are supposedly doing business with. Why would it matter if they tell me Neighbor X used them, or not? It's not an actual referral. Then they start immediately going into the sales pitch about mosquitos... We have very little foliage in our yard, no standing water, regularly treat our patio furniture, etc. Spraying would be next to useless, and even if we did need it, we already have a pest control company we use. And I tell them that every time, and every time they want to know who we use and won't let it go. So pushy. I get that they are trying to make a sale, but I am under zero obligation to tell them who I do business with, especially when it's some stranger who has approached me while I'm at home. This time when I got tired of repeating that we already had someone, and no, I was not interested in continuing to discuss it with them, and began closing the door; the representative got really rude and said, so you don't got anyone then. Again, WTH? Because I won't stand there and give you want you want after you chose to knock on my door in the middle of the day, I'm the bad guy? Wow. Beware! One day a sales representative from Aptive pest control came to my house and offered Aptive services for pest control, his name was Mathew. He offered a one time treatment for fifty ($50). I issued a check for $50 to start same day. Few days later, I received a text message to let me know there is a follow up visit to check if the initial service was satisfactory. Days went by and upon looking at my account, there was several bills posted on my account. I call Aptive customer service and found out that I signed a contract for monthly service. The customer service that picked up the line was from Africa who was very very difficult to understand besides the line was bad. I was on hold for 45 mins then the call was dropped. I made a few more attempts but was unsuccessful, I decided to check my account with the local bank just to find out that the check I issued was never cashed but instead Aptive was using the routing # and account # to charge multiple charges. This is fraud practice by this company Aptive pest control. If you get a sales representative come to offer services, please don't buy on this one time offer otherwise you will be a victim just like me. Aptive sold me originally based on mosquito control. The traps they placed in my yard never worked and they were always out of refills for the in home plugs. They are terrible at customer service and my dog died because they left a bait trap open. They denied my claim and any responsibility and no one is available to talk to about it other than their customer service people who only put a note in the file but don't do anything. It is a horrible, tragic way to lose a beloved pet and they are horrible to ignore the problem. I hope no one else has to go through this due to poorly trained , negligent personnel. They also brushed black dirt onto all of my white eaves which took forever to get them to clean. I told him several times that we were not interested in the service to which he replied "but are you the owner?". Super unproffesional, as I closed the door he said to not worry that he could wait here for the owner. He left a couple minutes later. Aptive - Eastvale has been awesome the past 5 years in our new community. Super responsive and friendly. NEVER had an issue with ants after the first spray. Had an issue with mosquitoes and they added traps. Now no mosquito issues! I had a wasp nest near my two-story roof, which they took care of easily. They're also very knowledgeable and can advise a creature's behavior. I don't understand the negative reviews. I think different locations should be reviewed differently. I scheduled an appointment for 8/20/2025 between 8am and 10am. I called at 10:05 as no one had reached out to me. I received lip service from the call center person, oh he will be calling you quickly I just spoke with him. I called back at 11am, again oh he is very busy today he will get to you.
