Company is absolute trash!! I was lied to by the sales rep that knocked on my door offering services that the company does not even provide. After speaking to the technicians and finding out that rodent exclusion services were not available, i called their office hoping to find a resolution. I was met with zero help or any alternatives to resolve the issue. They dismissed the whole fact that i was lied to and was more worried about collecting the $199 cancellation fee. I discontinued services and asked to speak to a supervisor. Again i was met with no help and a bit of hostility. I was told "Your services has been cancelled, you will not receive any more calls from us and that you will have to pay the $199 early cancellation fee. That is all." Basically i feel defrauded. I have no problem paying for the services that was provided but the cancellation fee should have been waived since i cancelled due to being lied to and the company are unable to provide the services i specifically needed. If you see anyone at your door with that Aptive shirt on just kindly slam the door on their face and tell them they are trespassing. A representative from Aptive showed up at our home and completely disregarded multiple clearly posted No Soliciting signs. He rang the doorbell several times before we finally answered. When we asked if he had seen the signs, he ignored the question and launched into a disjointed sales pitch. He appeared to be under the influence -- slurring his words, unable to stay focused, and asking personal questions like our names and when we moved in. We asked him to leave. After we shut the door, he remained outside and shouted that he would be "coming back soon," which felt like a threat. When I reopened the door to ask what he meant, he again refused to explain. When asked for his name and company, he said his name was Eli and he worked for Aptive. After the door was closed again, he began yelling profanities and personal insults at our front door, which we caught clearly on our doorbell camera -- including threats directed toward me. By the time I came outside to confront him, he had fled the scene on a hoverboard. We immediately contacted Aptive to file a formal complaint and provided them with a detailed account and video footage. We also filed a police report with our local department. Aptive acknowledged the complaint and said they would begin an internal investigation. However, more than 24 hours later, we've received no follow-up, no update, and no apology. This experience was alarming and unacceptable. Based on this and other reviews, it seems Aptive either condones or fails to control the behavior of its salespeople, who are using aggressive and inappropriate tactics in residential neighborhoods. They have horrible customer service, the service they provide does not do what they claim and they lie to get you to sign contracts and lock you in. I scheduled an initial treatment for a late appointment on 11/18/25 but they showed up earlier so i had to reschedule and also some discrepancies on the contract. Someone called me the following day on 11/19/25 to talk about rescheduling the following Saturday early in the morning and better pricing. He assured me MULTIPLE times that we could do a 3 month trial because I wasn't comfortable with a longer contract without speaking to my partner. My mistake for ever trusting that would be the case. Even after I asked if the three month trial would be on the written contract and being told yes, he locked me into a 24 month contract with no mention of a 3 month trial. It's no wonder this company has lawsuits in which to deal. The kids they hire are sad. Determined but sad. He came around every half hour whether one was home or not. One of their boys roamed our neighborhood repeatedly knocking on doors at all hours, scoping our security systems, asking questions about our systems, not introducing himself, refusing to show any identification, being rude, back talking and cursing. We got a "hand gesture" at our camera. No is no--especially when there is no regard for property and livelihood. Note: this is a "Pest Control Company". He repeated that he knows he's not allowed to be here in this gated/signed community to each of us that he interrupted, but it's okay because he is "helping". Helping what--he refused to state. I have been paying for aptive for approximately 3 months and since I have been paying we have not seen a decrease in spiders or bugs in our home. We constantly are finding big spiders in our home and have to kill them ourselves. Every time I text apdtive images of bugs found in our home, they come up with an excuse on why the bugs are still in our home. Our first mistake was to speak to the Aptive Pest Control solicitor that came to our door! We don't usually do that but since we kept procrastinating to get information for that service that we needed we allowed him to give us his sales pitch! He was a young man and sold us on an Aptive Pest Control Contract for a year. Terms were for one year, 1st spray was $39. then $95.00 per month. It was for spiders, fleas, mosquitoes and other bugs that we don't have problems with but were included as part in the contract. He guaranteed that if product didn't work they'd come and respray but give a week or so because it sometimes takes a couple of sprays to work in the beginning but they would respray for to get it under control. They did come repeat but their product wasn't working still. We called again and really disappointed because It was a service we needed but Aptive was not delivering their promised Pest Control as stated in contract. I told him I didn't want to continue paying for nothing after paying 4 months. I was told by sales guy he'd speak to his manager, try another of their formulas and spray again. Again the same negative results. I spoke to Law again and told him to cancel next credit card payment because Aptive didn't fulfill their guarantee. Told him it's still plenty of time to cancel next payment due timely and he apologized and said he was sorry because sometimes product works and people are satisfied with service. Told him I wished it had but was upset because we couldn't be outside due to mosquitoes, also same spiders and their webbing and we had been patiently waiting with no pest control whatsoever. Not worth the promises only with nothing to show. He said he'd take care of it on his end. I sent him a text confirming our conversation but only another appointment was schedule by text that we didn't see until the service guy showed up. We told him about our status that we had canceled service and no longer paying for it as per conversation with Aptive Pest Control so he left without spraying. Then we received another text saying we could reschedule because we had missed the last service appointment! I called the company # on that text and was told we had a contract and in order to get out we had to pay $133. to break contract. I told them Aptive broke contract because they didn't deliver the services in contact and we had had paid for 4 months for nothing. She agreed to waive the charge to cancel but they didn't cancel and I was charged another monthly payment of $95.00 even if their representative had said he'd cancel at his end since it was timely before next payment was due. Told her since I had worked with them in good faith and they failed in their guarantee by not delivering then I wanted my full refund because I don't just give money to companies for nothing in return. She said sorry it didn't work! I then called Law and left him a message. He did respond, apologized but said Aptive had transferred him to another state, (I think he said New York) and that he understood how I had expressed our need for pest control when he came and sorry it didn't work. Said he'd see what he could do but couldn't guarantee anything! Do NOT waste your money on Aptive Pest Control. It doesn't work no matter how good they claim it is!
