    Principessa

What can I say that hadn't already been said? TIP: The "Margarita" is regular monzarella cheese pizza. The "Principessa" has the Buffalo Monz, sauce and basil which I thought was a traditional Margarita pizza. It's their best pie in my opinion. Only small gripe is that the bottom crust is so thin that the pizza is very floppy and nearly impossible to pick up, especially with the giant cut slices. I cut them in half. I like the ample amount of sauce though. Good service, sometimes excellent depending on which server you get. Everyone's friendly there. It's one of my fav restaurants in the area. Book in advance on Resy for Fri/Sat night since they get busy. Bar seats have to be reserved for eating too! Tables are tightly packed together so if you don't like squeezing in to your seat and being a part of your neighbors convo then it's not for you. love their wood oven pizza and the Spaghetti with Bolognese sauce but they have other good pasta, salads, etc, It's small place across from The Madison, 14th&Wash. Mon closed. NOT BYOB. Pricey! $$$$

Apulia is hands down the best restaurant in Hoboken. The food here is the closest you'll get to authentic Italian food without actually being in Italy. Everything is phenomenal from the pasta, pizza, chicken dishes, appetizers and salads you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Beyond the food, the service is excellent. The servers are great, and the owners are just as welcoming, which really adds to the experience. If you're in Hoboken and like Italian food, you have to go here. Easily the best spot in town and a place I'll keep coming back to with family and friends for years to come.

I've lived in Hoboken for 5 years and this was (regrettably) my first time at apulia. We came with some friends for a light dinner and drinks and it didn't disappoint. The uccelletti and caprina pizza specifically stood out. Each dish had such an amazing and unique flavor profile and all of the ingredients felt so fresh. Although we ate a lot, we didn't leave feeling uncomfortably full. The service was great as well. Although the drinks took a little longer than expected to come out, they were worth the wait. We sat out back by the wall with the growing vines and felt like we were in a small town in Italy. Will absolutely be back!

Great food, drinks, service, ambiance and hospitality at Apulia! We started off with espresso martini and Prosecco - great way to start the dinner Upon our server's recommendation we went ahead with lemon basil pasta and vegetable pizza. I loved the lemon flavor in basil pasta. There are many vegetarian options available here. I want to try cacio e pepe as that was also in my list. But me and my friend were full after a pizza and pasta. Loved sitting outside in the backyard on a summer evening. The service is amazing here. They took an extra mile with that respect. I would definitely come back to this place.

The chicken with Prosciutto di Parma Panino, absolutely delicious! Great value and your tastebuds will thank you.

Once again another amazing dining experience!!! Great cocktails (bar selection is incredible) The appetizers were not only delicious but the portions were generous. Our server was knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Main course did not disappoint, very flavorful and done to perfection. This place is well worth a try and will probably become your next favorite!!

Ordered: Glass of Rose is a Rose (~$13): Cantrina Valtenesi, Sicily Calamari Fritti (~$21): ocean caught Polpette di Nonna Angelina Curci (~$19): beef meatballs Margherita Pizza (~$18) Lemon Basil Pesto Linguine (~$23): lemon, basil, pine nuts, pecorino, parmigiana Aya's take: Apulia seems to be a spot known & liked by Hoboken locals. Even on a weeknight, a majority of the tables inside were taken so I'm glad we were able to snag one without waiting. We started with the Calamari Fritti and Polpette (meatballs). The Calamari Fritti turned out to be my favorite item of the night. The calamari was unbelievably tender, the breading was light and fried to a golden brown, and the drizzle of lemon on top really brought out those great flavors. It was so addicting and kudos to them for also including the tentacles. The Polpette was a good try but didn't really stand out to me. It was a good source of protein considering the other 2 dishes we were waiting on didn't have much. The Margherita Pizza was well-executed from the thin crust to the cheesiness to the fresh tomatoes and basil. It was a solid pizza. The Lemon Basil Pesto Linguine had no essence of lemon at all. The pesto was bright, fresh, and herby, I liked the pine nuts, and the linguine was al dente but it was missing something! It could have used that lemon or garlic to contrast the pesto flavor. Everything was fresh, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the art on the walls was awesome. Good try!

One of the best dining experiences in New Jersey -- thanks to Jessie! Hands down one of the best service experiences I've ever had! Jessie was absolutely amazing...super friendly, attentive, and knew the menu inside out. He made a few food recommendations and every single one was spot-on... seriously mouthwatering delicious! You can tell he genuinely cares about giving guests a great experience. It was so good we came back the very next day. The place was packed (as always), but they still managed to fit us at the bar. Sadly, the bar server wasn't quite as sweet and the food recs didn't hit the same. The restaurant itself is super cute: cozy, romantic, and full of charm. Between the ambience, the food, and Jessie's incredible service, this spot is a total gem.

Haven't been here in a long time and wanted to go back to check it out! Glad we did! Excellent meal! We loved the service and food was very good! They have a huge outdoor patio and plenty of seating inside too. Everything tasted fresh and was perfect to share! We had salad, burrata (special), pizza and tiramisu. So good!! Thank you for the great evening!

Here's the deal: Apulia is a neighborhood spot and good for a date night if yin get there on the earlier side, some younger families enjoying the delicious Neapolitan pizza. It has a small outdoor dining section on Washington St. inside has a small bar area where a full menu is available. The bartender was very helpful with the menu and is great at recommending cocktails! They're true mixologists and have some wild combinations to try! The main room offers tables for parties of 2-6 people. and leads to a back outdoor room ( it may be closed it?) but it looks like a good spot for a larger private diner party) The food was incredible: not shown are the delicious calamari & eggplant appetizers!! The pizza was a seasonal special of butternut squash & caramelized onion OUTSTANDING! Definitely recommend and will be back again

When in Hoboken -Apulia. This was our first time here for dinner with our Son and Daughter-in-law. At first I was disappointed as I thought we were going to our favorite Turkish restaurant in Paterson. Well thank God we didn't. The venue is fantastic. Beautiful "just the right size" dining room. Our server was very attentive. He was friendly and helped us decide what wine to select. The food was absolutely delicious! I wanted the pizza but was deterred by the chicken pallard (forgot the actual name check-out the menu) - loved it. My kids and wife ordered 3 different pastas that were made to perfection. The calamari fritti, some of the best I've ever had! Fresh and crispy not oily. The table next to us ordered two pizzas. OMG did they look great. Should have had the pizza. Going back for the pizza!

My favorite Italian spot in hoboken with cozy and charming ambiance. The food tastes like it's from Europe with clean great quality. Highly recommend !

Had the pleasure of sitting outside in their back patio section. It's cozy and cool ambiance. The food was spot on! Great pizza and I believe the pasta is fresh made.

Pizza was awesome here I will definitely go back and try the other food that they have but I can say that the pizza does tend to be a little floppy. You just have to ask for it well done.

I…read morehad been eager to try their pies, as well as their full meals, but only just made it to their dimly lit, hip and happening main dining room. The space was not large, but they really made the most of it, offering a decent number of tables with reasonable space between them. My friend and I were quickly seated and immediately greeted by a charming server that opened our bottle of wine (it's BYO) and offered us still or sparkling water. I had read in other reviews that you had to pay for water, so I was not surprised by the $6 bottle of Saratoga that wound up on our bill. In addition to our engaging server and the happening atmosphere, the food was similarly incredible. We decided to order a load of things to share, so that we could try a greater variety. We started with two appetizers that were seasonal Spring additions to the menu. The Hamachi Crudo included five thickly-sliced, tender pieces of Japanese yellowtail sitting in a broth of rhubarb aguachile and topped with white strawberries and basil seeds. It was an unique blend that we would not have expected to work, but boy was it delicious! The sweet toppings infused a load of flavor into an otherwise mild fish. We also enjoyed the Fava-mole, a creamy puree of fava beans studded with balls of hand-pulled mozzarella and pea tendrils, all drizzled with zesty ramp oil. I had not been sure what to expect from the dish, but it offered fresh, bright garden flavors. We also decided to share a pasta course and an entree. The Fettuccini was tossed with spring truffles and maitakes in a light, yet heavily aromatic, wild mushroom cream sauce. It was one of the best dishes I had had in quite some time. Then, as we were waiting on our seafood entree, we received a second pasta, courtesy of the Chef. I had mentioned that I had heard rave reviews about Flour from a server at Heirloom Kitchen, a top NJ restaurant. Apparently, our waiter had let the Chef know about that glowing praise, and the kitchen further verified that positivity with the generous gesture. In fact, they wound up sending out the Linguine with white clam sauce, razor clams, and wild ramps, the other dish about which I had been most curious anyway. Well, it was another winner! It was garlicky, herbaceous, and rich with flavors of the sea. Speaking of seafood, we next received the Branzino 'Bahn mi', a perfectly cooked piece of Mediterranean sea bass with Vietnamese sausage and pickled vegetables. The branzino's crispy skin and flaky, moist interior were excellent, and we loved all of the other smoky and briny flavors on the plate. After all of that excellent food, we would have loved to try one of their appealing desserts, but we were just too full. Between the ambiance, welcoming vibe, and delicious cuisine, our Flour experience was simply divine! It has now became one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I cannot wait to try their pizza at some point as well.

I was a big fan of both, especially the ricotta, which was so incredibly creamy. For the mains, everyone's fresh-made pasta was excellent. I ordered the Mexican street corn, which was unique, flavorful, and delicious. I also tried some of the spicy rigatoni and loved it. We ended the night with the s'mores dessert, which was rich and chocolatey. Also, the fact that the restaurant is BYOB is a huge plus! The only downside was that I lost an item during our visit. I had a really hard time finding their contact information online, so I had to go back in person to ask about it, which was a bit annoying. Ultimately, they weren't able to recover it, but the food itself was still outstanding.

Garlicy and saucy but again, not soggy. Love their pizza! Great for families and they have outdoor seating.

I came to Napoli's in Hoboken to satisfy my craving for some casual and homey Italian food - and…read morethey did just that. We tried the 1/2 vodka (add pepperoni) 1/2 spicy buffalo chicken pizza in the personal size, as it seemed to be two of their most popular pizza flavors. This "personal" size pizza was actually quite sizable, 3 slices of each flavor and definitely enough to share alongside our pasta. Both flavors were good, but maybe my expectations were too high. The vodka sauce was flavorful, but I was a little disappointed by the amount of pepperonis they gave us when we added that topping to one side. The buff chicken had a good classic buffalo flavor but wasn't that spicy, and came with your choice of either ranch or blue cheese drizzled on top. Although a little soggy as expected, the pieces of fried chicken tender on the pizza were well coated in Buffalo flavor. However, the Blackened Chicken Pasta honestly blew me away. Tons of large chicken pieces, peppers, and onion all tossed together with penne in a creamy Cajun sauce. The blackened flavor really came through and this pasta was so yummy and satisfying, while not being too heavy or overly creamy. Penne was also a perfect al dente! My only gripe with this establishment was the cleanliness. Our tap waters had a pretty bad taste, I actually ended up ordering a Coke as I did not want to drink the water. It smelled a bit sour in the air as well. However, many of the best family run restaurants out there are often not the cleanest or nicest ambiance, so I wasn't expecting top tier hygiene - but the bad water taste made me slightly uneasy. Our server was very attentive and patient with any questions we had, and made our overall experience wonderful. It seems like this is a really popular to-go spot for locals in the area, the dining room is smaller but decorated with cute NYC subway theming which I loved as an MTA enthusiast. Would return for the Blackened Chicken Pasta!

The pesto sausage was pretty nice, the pesto added a savory flavor to the slice and complimented the sausage well. It was a tad bit oily but what pizza isn't? The bacon fig jam flavor was really good but we found out why our slices came out so quickly. The bottom was absolutely burnt black and added a bitter taste to every bite. Sadly this slice was left unfinished. I think going during their rush hours might guarantee that you won't get a burnt slice because these slices definitely aren't cheap. Hopefully this was just an off day for them...
