5/20/26 tech was here today. Saw him sitting in his truck. Did not clean or VACUUM the pool. You need him to be followed by a supervisor. He should be told to come back today and do his job. Do you like wasting gas sending him out here and doing nothing??? Oh and no response to our prop mang company. UPDATE 5/21 tech here about 2:15PM and could not get the pump to primed. So at 2:45 packed up slamming our equipment lids and it now gone to his company truck getting ready to pull out at 3:00pm. Does he need training? Or a pink slip? read more

What a mess. Every interaction with this company has been terrible. The problems are all encompassing and they don't seem interested in fixing the issues. We have a backyard pool. We aren't pool experts. We noticed that the water level was going down over the summer and that there might be a crack in the pool. We called Aquaquip. They sent someone out who took one look at the pool and said he doesn't repair fiberglass pools. You'd imagine that the company that has been working on this pool for many years would know it was fiberglass and not waste our mutual time to send someone out who can't work on our pool, but you'd be wrong. We decided we needed a new heater - our old heater had broken a few years ago and we wanted to get a heat pump. We called Aquaquip. The man explained that Heat Pumps were obsolete, and that natural gas heaters were the way to go. Obsolete, huh? Interesting. It took several calls and several days to get someone who actually new the product. It took a couple of weeks to get an estimate (no site visit, just apparently takes a while for people to do work at Aquaquip). To install the heat pump, we need a trench dug for the electrical line. Aquaquip doesn't do that, so it is on us to go find someone to do this part of the work. Frustrating. We decide to proceed, and they schedule an appointment to install, that took a couple of emails and calls to get them to even schedule it. They ask for pictures of the site -- I pointed out that a site visit would probably save them time. But they decline, It is a two day, two person job -- but the man who comes is only one person and he only has one day. So they have to reschedule the 2nd visit -- it took a few calls for that to happen. They finally get the job done, they send a confusing invoice which has charges that we never discussed. The dollar amount is right, but the details are all wrong. Ok, another phone call - and we got it fixed. I then asked for a manager to discuss this whole experience. They send me to his voicemail, but he's apparently out for 2 weeks. When he's back, he does call me (yay!) - but then doesn't return my message. I then call to schedule pool cleaning, and they can't accommodate a cleaning until 4 months later. So we will find someone else. We would not recommend Aquaquip, to put it mildly. They are the dominant provider in this area, and we need to find others to do work for us going forward. read more

Aqua Quip way exceeded my expectations! We needed a new vinyl liner installed in our pool. We contacted them early knowing it's a process. They were out within a couple of days to get us started. Tom was great! He gave us a good estimate and timeline. Their communication was fantastic! But the best part was the finished product! They were extremely picky and would not leave until it was exactly how we wanted it. They followed up with us after the job was complete. I could not be more pleased. If you need a pool or hot tub, I would without a doubt use Aqua Quip. In fact, we're thinking a hot tub sounds great and will use them for sure. Thank you Aqua Quip! Unfortunately the worst customer service we have ever received. Scheduled a deep clean for our outdoor spa/hot tub, and they no-showed the first visit. When they did arrive the following week, I came home to a half filled tub with greenish water. It took 3 calls to get a followup visit and it turns out they had not used metal gon when refilling the tub, despite the fact that I left a full unopened bottle of this at the side of the hot tub. Two followup visits and many calls later the tub water looked normal again. Actual hot tub service was apathetic and patchy. Customer service people who answered the phone were lovely, however. The experience was so bad that I called 3 times to speak with a supervisor to give appropriate feedback and no one ever called in response. read more

Evan came on time and what a gentleman and hard worker he was! We had inherited a Lynx natural gas BBQ as part of the recent purchase of our home, but I was afraid to start it up as it looked as though the former owners never cleaned it. Since Lynx is a high-end BBQ appliance, I decided to get it cleaned up to see if we could use it. This beautiful stainless steel appliance was completely black inside with baked on char on all inside surfaces, grills, and both burner units. Evan really went the extra mile to bring this thing back to life. Now I'm not going to say it looks like new, but every bit of black possible to clean was removed. Not only that, but Evan was very knowledgeable about BBQs and grilling, and we learned a lot from him about maintenance, damage to grills and burners, and other things to look out for to keep the unit working for many years. He even helped get the gas turned on and fired it up. He suggested getting some Non-Stick Grilling Mats to even out the heat due to a damaged burner and rough grill racks. I recommend AquaQuip for their straightforward service at a fair price. Final bill was exactly as quoted. They don't try to sell you something, and they really got the job done for us. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible service. Technically has not been completed, but at this point if they don't get it fixed in the next visit I will stop using them and try someplace else. If they do complete the work I will update this review. Our new house has a hot tub and it didn't work when we tried it the first time. Since the old owners purchased it at Aquaquip, we called them for help. It has taken 1.5 months, 5 visits, and a bill that keeps on growing, and the hot tub still doesn't work. The first visit, the technician diagnosed the problem but didn't have any spare parts. He had to schedule a second visit. The second visit he brought the part, changed it, and an hour later the hot tub didn't work. We had to call for another visit. The third visit, a new technician diagnosed a different problem, and surprise surprise didn't have any spare parts. He had to schedule a fourth visit. The fourth visit, the first technician brought the part, changed it, and surprise surprise, it still didn't work. He had to schedule a fifth visit. The fifth visit they sent yet another guy, who left a note saying he couldn't access the spa equipment - the same spa equipment that the two previous technicians had absolutely no problem accessing. This guy didn't even have the decency to call us before leaving. We now had to schedule a sixth visit. Every new visit racks up another $80 per half hour of labor, even when they don't actually do anything. Every new visit takes at least a week, generally longer, to schedule. Nobody is paying attention or following up on our service. If you can avoid it, AVOID AQUA QUIP LIKE THE PLAGUE. This is the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had, worse than banks, cable companies, mobile service providers, and even insurance dealers. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. read more

Why is it so hard to get good customer service? Never late in billing, but Aqua Quip pool cleaning is poor. Over the years sometimes they don't show, no integrity of schedule and think it's acceptable to show up at 6:30 at night to begin cleaning the pool, dump excessive chemicals in pools, and numerous other complaints including an employee smoking pot on our property. read more

I am very happy to update here that the issue has been resolved. Partial refund is issued to close the dispute. As I can see Aqua Quip cares about its customers and would like to work dispute out in a good manner. Compared to my recent complain to another big company Dell, they shows better response and more professionalism when communicating to customers and they do care their reputation. Though I gave good ratings here to reflect the good post-event customer care, I strongly suggest that Aqua Quip to make their billing process clearer to customers. WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS!! Just purchased a new home with a swim spa and thought I would have someone look at it. The first tech from aqua quip told me it was electrical and no big deal he will have a tech come out next week and fix it. Next week came and the tech said he had no pictures or information about the last techs visit but he would look it over himself. He came back in 5 minutes to tell me we needed a new pump, heater, valve, basically EVERYTHING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED! He then got his tools said he would send us a quote and left all in a matter of 15 minutes. We then got an invoice of over $200 for his 15 minutes of no service. After this whole ordeal I then had a licensed specialist come and get it up and running in a matter of minutes and told me MY WHOLE SYSTEM WORKS FINE and I needed NOTHING replaced!! I reached back out to aquaquip to ask why they charged me for the visit that lasted 15 minutes and they still wont refund my money EVEN THOUGH NO ONE AUTHORIZED ANY PAYMENT!! The tech left and never even said a charge was going to be made. I am now getting my banks help in recovering those funds but long story short STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! THE TECHS HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND ONLY TRY TO SELL YOU A BRAND NEW SYSTEM. read more

Just got a call from Aqua Quip saying their tech called in sick 34 minutes after they were supposed to be here. We made the appointment more than two weeks ago. The scheduler tried to reschedule for Thursday. Nope. I made a point to be here today. I said Mondays and weekends work and was told I'd get a call right back. Nope again. We called another service provider to make an appointment. We initially called Aqua Quip because we thought they'd be the big, reliable company even if they were more expensive. Nope, three times. I don't get to blow my employer off with no call/no shows after my shift starts and won't tolerate it from these folks either. We're looking elsewhere for our hot tub service and repairs. read more

See Sara! weekly she tests our water and explains the do's and don'ts to keep the balance correct. John was able to take the time to help solve a pool issues and took the time to explain why we had issues and the best ways to prevent more problems. Understanding these issues has saved us money and helped our family and friend enjoy our Aqua Quip pool. Got a quote for repairs... the tech came out did the repairs and it was less than what was quoted. Thank you!!! The employees do not guess about what your problem is they what samples or pictures before they try to solve the problem. Ok Gang here is the real deal with Aqua Quip (AQ) in Renton. Almost two years ago my wife and I splurged and bought a Sundance Chelsee spa from AQ and for the most part we liked it--perfect size & amenities for us and also for the occasional guests when they too need to get away and chill. Whenever we've had a minor issue or even any questions whatsoever, their Sales n' Service people gladly responded in spades. We would HIGHLY recommend that you buy your spa from Andre' L. and have your spa zeroed in (serviced) by John B. when you need some onsite professional help. They "Say what they do, and they do what they say." We couldn't be happier with the quality of the Sundance reputation. My mom gave me her early 80's Sundance spa back in 1989 and it had worked here fine for another 22 years. That's why we wanted another one. Apparently Jacuzzi & Sundance merged since Mom bought her Sundance spa back in the day. We ended up using Spa Frog to chlorinate and it seems to work best for us. No matter if you use your spa infrequently or not, I recommend you REALLY drain your spa at least every three months or so. Learn to rotate filters, clean them monthly, and don't be shy about learning pool chemistry 101. AQ in Renton is reputable and I strongly recommend them for all your spa needs. We have been a customer with Aqua Quip for over 10 years. We originally purchased our hot tub from another manufacturer and it went on the fritz back in early January. We contacted the service department at Aqua Quip and they came out and assessed the problem. After literally 8 visits and 3-1/2 months of diagnosing the various problems, we finally have a hot tub that works properly. The service team hung in there and never wanted to give up on our "problem tub". The final billing was very fair and we are happy customers. read more

We bought a tub at an extravaganza event at South center in April. Andre the Regional mgr of Agua Quip sold us a basic tub to replace our 22 year old, still working tub. We were sold a used tub that arrived damaged. Andre's general attitude to our whole $4,342 sale was pretty much I.D.G.A.S. Answering basic queries were always dodged. At least he refunded our money after 2 months with no replacement tub in sight, after no communication about the tub status in 8 weeks. Bought a new hot tub from them a few weeks back. Their Sales, Customer Service and delivery people were fantastic. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The new hot tub is a Sundance Optima. What a great hot tub. 40+ adjustable jets, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, waterfall and LED lights. Best money I have ever spent on a personal item. I am completely and utterly disappointed in Aqua Quip's customer service and responsiveness... We thought signing up for monthly maintenance would help. It didn't. We've had at least 4 broken appointments, numerous promises of return calls unmet, waiting on yet another as I type this post. Avoid this place. There is a reason they ask for a credit card upfront before they do any business. Bought new fireplace in Jan 2014. Went to use in Oct and it would not turn on. Talked to the Redmond store where I bought the fireplace(over 3 grand) and the guy said all major parts would be under warranty. So I set up a appt for 1030am. Guy shows up at 1207pm. Next thing you know I am getting billed $346 for a diagnostic fee . Faulty gas valve was the problem, but that is not under warranty. Estimate to fix was $435.25. This would of been ok if not for the $346 diagnostic fee. Customer service is lousy and they do not give a sh@t about you once you buy a fire place.. Dealt with Mike W from Renton and AJ from Redmond Store. Lousy customer service from both. Will never ever do business with them again and we will be telling all of our friends in Kirkland, Redmond and Bellevue to avoid these guys. Total rip off on diagnostic fee. Call around. Worst service experience of my life!!!! Called because fireplace was not working correctly. The fan would not turn on and the pilot light and heating system would shut down by itself. AquaQuip service guy came out, response was timely, but the service guys had no clue. The problem with the fan was a GFCI circuit tripped in our kitchen which was connected to the power for the fireplace fan, simple. Now, the main problem, this guy took 1.5 hour to figure out that the problem was a thermopile that is accessible from the front, but spent hours taking the whole fireplace apart. After $400 1.5 hours, supposedly the problem was fixed. Nope, the problem continues. They come out again but this time the diagnosis is the wall switch. He didn't have extra one so made appointment to come back another time to install. I decided to fix myself since everytime they come out the $$$$ and installing a switch seems simple. After 5min on youtube, 30 min labor, a trip to Bellevue Fireplace Store to get Pilot orifice cleaned $8.00, the fireplace works like brand new. I thought the service guys were experts? I didn't know a thing about gas fireplaces but 5min on youtube and a little elbow grease and like brand new. Do not call AquaQuip for any kind of service. read more
