Dear Yelp, This place was amazing, first off the aguas frescas were amazing, I ordered agua de sandia. I didn't know where to start so I ordered one shrimp taco and a fish taco, amazing , as I was finishing my second taco I noticed they had a special, tacos de lengua (tongue tacos) on handmade tortillas. I couldn't resist I like my girlfriends tongue better but these tacos were delicious I almost felt like I was cheating on my lady. I was able to sneak in my Pacifico because what's better than a ice cold cerveza and tacos . The people were pretty nice the kid with glasses offered to throw away my tray. My wife and I stopped here the other day to try something new and me I love birria so of course we had to get some birria tacos and quesabirria tacos and boy was I amazed and speechless at how delicious they were. The staff is very friendly as well always smiling and give you update on your food being ready they even offered me and my wife an aqua Fresca for the wait. This is definitely our go to spot now for delicious birria tacos and we can not wait to try other menu items. I highly recommend this place if you love delicious authentic Mexican food. The food is wonderfully authentic. I can only speak a little Spanish, but they take their time and are patient as I attempt to order in all Spanish. They never get anything wrong, and their Horchata is wonderful. The restaurant is small and popular, and on the corner of a busy street. Very cheap, and very wonderful. I LOVE this Eastside GEM! They have an amazing variety of Mexican dishes. I am a picky eater and they always accommodate my requests whenever I want change a dish or want it made differently. A hole in the wall restaurant! I don't ever crave for Mexican food but this place was amazing! Better than the popular El Gordo in my opinion. I love their tacos! I am a huge fan of tripe (if you don't like intestine stay away but if you do you must try!) it was sooooo amazing, crispy, juicy and flavorful. The lady taking our order at the countered seemed to not be there mentally. Dazed and confused took for every to take the order. Ordered a carne asada burrito. Typically at any other Mexican restaurants it has carne asada, guacamole, and pico the Gallo. This burrito had more beans and rice then carne or anything else. We also ordered some carne asada tacos. The carne asada looks more like ground beef and tastes old and as if it's been reheated multiple times. Wanted to give a try because we live near by but definitely not a spot for us. Great authentic mexican food. Something like a whole in the wall place. When you walk in its very comforting and the dining area has a tv in it so you can watch tv as you eat. Very hispanic atmosphere. I ordered a trio fajita plate, asada tacos, and a california burrito. Food was really good and had alot of flavor. You get big portions and guaranteed to get full off of your meal. Their jamaica juice is the best. The cashier in the front is a very nice lady and she speaks both spanish and english. The wait isnt very long at all and they have a drive thru. I give them 4 stars because they are great but the dining area can be a little more cleaner especially since we are in a pandemic.
