This is a great place to come for Mideastern/Russian imported speciality foods. It's small but clean & well-organized. We ordered from their carry-out food menu. The value is great for the quantity of food. However, I am only giving this place 3-stars because I ordered a falafel plate which was more pita bread than falafel. The pita was huge & overwhelming & the taste of the falafel was average (not bad but not amazing either). I would go back again for the number of speciality products & the value of the products sold for the price paid. read more

My family loves Ararat market. We usually order the big family trays with rice pilaf, beef and chicken and a salad. We also get the hummus and pita bread. Everything is absolutely delicious! It's also affordable and our go to when we host family gatherings. Most importantly, the folks who work there are the sweetest! They come out and greet us when we pick up our food and thank us for our purchase. They truly make us feel welcomed and appreciate our service. 100/10 would recommend this place read more

Love this place! Wish they sold shawarma but the kebabs are delicious, great seasoning and the owner is extremely sweet. She's friendly and welcoming and the food is made fresh never had any issues. I love this place! It's a tiny little market but they also serve food that you can buy to go. Every time I have gone to buy food the wait is normally around 15-20 minutes so it's probably best to call in your order. The owner Helen is super nice & I actually just met her in person fairly recently. My mom normally picks up our order. She was very friendly & helpful & I enjoyed talking to her. We like to order the chicken lula kebab plate! It is delicious and there is definitely more than enough food! It usually lasts me two meals. It comes with rice pilaf, salad, garlic sauce, pita bread, & 2 chicken lula kebabs. The Sochi bread is fantastic! If you are lactose intolerant than stay away! It is bread filled with cheese in the crust and in the middle & it's topped with an egg on top! Delicious! I'm sure it is probably best eaten fresh but even when I bring it home our family demolishes the whole thing! Cheese + Bread + Egg = who wouldn't love that combo? Aside from the food to take home and eat, this little market has a wide variety of grocery items. I normally like to buy the bulgar rice, yalanchi, Armenian string cheese, & frozen cheese boregs but I'd love to try all the different snack items they have as well. I'm making dolma and sarma, and wanted ground lamb. I was pleasantly surprised that, Ararat Market, sells it. I also picked up Hye Quality Bakery cracker bread, and saved myself a trip downtown. Since Nina's Bakery closed, I haven't found an Armenian coffee I like. Ararat Market sells the dark roast, and was able to grind it fine. I can't wait to see how it tastes. It's the little things, in life. Everything I needed, and more. I plan on going back, next week, for lamb shish kebab. Thanks Ararat Market! read more

I do not understand the 5 star rating of this place at all. I was searching through Yelp and came across this place and based on the overall rating and the number of ratings I would have expected this place to at least be good, maybe not great, but at a minimum good. My wife and I both ordered the chicken plate and we were both blown away by the quality (or lack there of) of their chicken. It had the weirdest rubbery/chewy texture and seemed to have pieces of gristle in it. We have experience this before when we bought really cheap chicken from a local grocer. The rest of the plate was boring with not one single item that jumped out at us. Maybe it was a bad day for the place, but it was definitely a bad enough experience for the two to of us where we won't be going back. I'm still laughing at the 5 star rating...... 5 stars???? read more
