Pretty quick and efficient while traveling. Friendly cashier. Better than expected! Busy but well staffed.

Husband got a smash burger with sweet potato fries and a Heath bar shake. Everything was served quickly by the nice young man behind the counter, all was hot and looked great. Everything was delicious, with the highpoints being the sweet potato waffle fries, the biscuit, and the milkshakes. I got ranch and the Motlee sauce for my chicken and both were excellent, the ranch is def homemade. We'll be back around the next time we head in or out on I-10, although it's only 30 minutes from where I live in Jax, so we might make the drive just for dinner one night.

But, beyond the expected hamburgers and a great selection of shakes, they have chicken 'n' waffles, fried shrimp, and other dishes. Everything is indeed fast food yet at the same time tastes homemade. My shrimp were good though a bit too salty for my liking, the waffle fries fine, the bread roll (really? not hushpuppies?) ok if weird to me to include in a seafood basket. Their house MotLee's Sauce is certainly the sauce to ask for, by the way. All in all, a good, economical choice for fast food plus to support something local and unique.

First I want to give the staff a shout out they were very friendly and accommodating, but that's…read morewhere the best part of my experience ended. The diesel fuel island was a disaster - I sat in line behind a dually pulling a horse trailer for at least 20 minutes while she fueled her rig and no other tractor trailer fueling moved during my entire time here which I found odd - well it was finally my turn so I followed the protocol by estimating my fuel needs and prepaid prior to returning to my RV to fill her up. That when I discovered the reason for the long wait these pumps which are classified as "high flow" nozzles pumped at a snails pace. Believe me I had plenty of time to look over this dump of a travel center while the fuel slowly flowed into my 110 gallon fuel tank, thankfully I wasn't empty or I may have had to camp here overnight. The slow fuel flow speaks of the lack of maintenance as does the condition of the exterior areas around the fuel islands - I will definitely avoid all TA Travel Centers going forward based on this and other experiencesof this brand in the past. One star at best....

Bathrooms were nasty and typically TA is clean. It is clean the management clearly not care about customers and just selling Fuel. Very sad to see the work ethic at these corporate places when they could have a great experience for customers...oh well. Stop at the loves on the other side of I-10 for clean bathrooms.

I can't tell you the exact year when I finally decided to actually TRY the Burger Barn. I honestly…read moreput it off for years, thinking to myself... yeah, sure they're good. It's the only burger place around here! Years have passed, and competition has moved into town... and yet? I'd rather go here for my hamburger crave than anywhere else around. Why? They've never compromised on how they make, wrap or deliver their delicious burgers to you out the window. They are just as delicious today as they were 20-odd years ago when I first tried them and got hooked! How does someplace maintain this? Good management and ownership. Not compromising on quality, ingredients or changing how it has always been done and done right. The same burger I bought from there over 20 years ago is the same delicious burger I buy today. Sure, the prices have gone up, but they have to in order to pay upkeep of your premises, taxes, your staff and the suppliers of everything you have to have in order to run your business. I still remember someone complaining about how much it was for a burger there when they first raised their prices to at least be somewhat competitive with the "Arches" down the street. Look. You can go down there and buy something that someone flipped around, pre-processed somewhat filled with questionable meat or soy protein, loaded with msg and salt, who knows where it all was already made and pre-cooked before it even got there... I've seen the process from start to finish at our Burger Barn. They cook your burger fresh once you order it. If it were made already, it'd be ready for pickup at the window when you pull up to order... sounds like someplace you know? I've got the patience for something fresh, something consistently good and priced a lot cheaper than down the street, considering you're getting so much better quality! So you do you and go wherever you like... me? I'll stick with the best burger in town that's oh so good from the first bite to the very last bit. I thought about that, looking at the bite I had at the end with still plenty of creamy cheese, tons of meat and a few delicious pieces of pickles, onions, lettuce and even a sliver of tomato worked into it! Good to the absolute last bite. It's amazing to me that no one realizes how lucky we are that we have a family owned and mostly run business right here serving quality to our community for how many years now? Anyone know? I'll have to ask them. The window servers may change but the food is always the same goodness it always is. Thank you guys for maintaining your place in our town!!

The flavor was just ok. The fries were good and great flavor. The coleslaw and great flavor. Everything was super clean. The staff were very friendly. * The negatives in our opinion; they called out the orders over the intercom system VERY loud!!! One of the girls would yell the person's order over the intercom. Everyone around us would hold their ears. When the guy would call out the order it was fine. We sat outside in the patio area. There were teenage kids at the table next to us that was being sooo loud and yelling back and forth and would even throw things and each other. After about 10 minutes when we sat down to eat thank goodness they left!!!! In our opinion (my wife and I) we felt Cane's was OK. Don't think it's the best chicken in town but definitely not the worst. We will definitely be back some time.
