I was seriously in the mood for a Italian beef sandwich, or a hot roast beef sandwich drenched in gravy. I could not make it to Brooklyn. So I thought I would just settle for Arbys. They give you the gravy on the side, so I thought it would be a good replacement. It was not the greatest sandwich. Something about the meat tasted off to me. The gravy was okay, but not that flavorful. On a positive note. The mozzarella sticks were good lol. But I am sure people are coming to Arbys for the sandwiches not the cheese sticks lol.. Im 25, and this was my first time at Arbys. I doubt ill ever be returning.

This was taken at evening rush hour.... Hard to find a parking space.

This was my first - and last - visit to an Arby's. In the "food chain" of nationally known fast food joints (McDonalds, Arby's, Burger King, Wendy's, and Taco Bell), on a scale of 1-5, where McDonalds ranks the lowest at a one, and Taco Bell ranks highest at a 2, Arby's barely beats out Mickey D's for being the worst. The rest fall somewhere above those, but below a 2. I really don't set the bar very high for these fast food joints. The "smoked beef brisket" had so much smoke flavor, I thought it got caught in a forest fire. Between the over smoked flavor and the barbeque sauce that they must source from Costco in 55 gallon drums, to drown the "meat" in (as they euphemistically call it), there was no beef flavor to be had. The word awful comes to mind. The fish sandwich was just as bad as the one I had from Wendy's last week (when will I learn?) with the exception that at least Arby's doesn't ruin what little flavor the fish has by smothering it with pickles. Arby's doesn't offer French fries. Nooooooo.... they serve those god awful spiced curly fries that get annoyingly tangled up in each other. My work is done here.

The menu has plenty of options with the ability to customize literally everything to your liking. I decided to get a 12 count mini donut with cinnamon sugar, Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, and cinnamon roll drizzle and it was phenomenal! The spot itself is super cute inside and it's located in a mini plaza with a couple other things around. They have an entire wall dedicated to a chalk board that you are free to write on. As well as a plastic axe throwing board that you can entertain your self with while they prepare your donuts. Both times I've gone I only waited about 10-15 minutes for my items to be ready which was super nice. I would definitely recommend this spot to any donut lovers!

Watching the mini donuts being made fresh was fun, and they came out hot, soft, and fluffy with a slight crisp on the outside. We ordered a sampler of six mini donuts and got to mix and match drizzles and toppings. There are so many flavor options from Nutella, cinnamon roll, guava, lemon, and more. The drizzles were smooth and flavorful without being too sweet, and the toppings added a nice crunch. Half the fun was picking the combos. We also tried their homemade fresh-squeezed pink lemonade, which was refreshing. The Dubai donuts were rich and really satisfying, definitely worth trying. Overall, this place is fun, different, and makes really good donuts. We'll definitely be back!

Most of their baked goods were sold out, which totally made sense because it was nearly closing time and the items that remained looked delicious. So we were sure that whatever had been sold before was more of the same. I ordered a hot latte and the kiddo ordered a raspberry tea. We also decided to order toasted sandwiches (grilled vegetables for me and grilled cheese for her) to enjoy in the shop. Enjoy we did! The latte was served with a foam smiley face. The espresso was strong and delicious and tempered nicely by the milk. Her tea was piping hot and fruity. The sandwiches were toasted but not blazing hot, for which we were thankful because we were very hungry. They also weren't greasy - an issue I have with other toasted sandwiches. As a side note - why do sandwich shops slather sandwiches in oil or butter when a simple iron sandwich press and a hot grill will suffice? Anyway, our sandwiches were great! They were filling but didn't leave us feeling lethargic (please refer back to the not greasy comment.) We were so happy to have a good meal and a seat after a long tour around the Quinnipiac campus. Bussing one's table is expected and the staff kept the tables spic and span in between patrons. Speaking of the staff, the young man who took our order and was servicing the dining area was kind and patient as we ordered. We made sure to leave fifteen minutes before closing because we didn't want to be THOSE people, namely the couple in the corner who'd setup their computer shop and looked to have no intention of leaving without a fight. We will definitely return to Bread & Chocolate if we find ourselves in the area again.

This place was extremely disappointing…read more I've had their bread at local restaurants and always thought it was excellent, which is what motivated me to visit in person. Over the past few months, I tried stopping by three separate times, twice they were already closed, and once they had completely sold out of bread. I finally made it there on a Sunday morning, and they had only one loaf left, and not a type I wanted. We decided to order two egg and cheese sandwiches (one with turkey bacon). Both were terrible. The rolls were soft, soggy, wet, and flavorless. Each sandwich had a single egg placed off-center, so half the roll barely had any egg at all. The turkey bacon was so bad we removed it and threw it out. Normally, I would have just moved on and not returned. But what really pushed me to write this review (which I never write) was the carrot cake we purchased. We took it home, refrigerated it, and tried it later that evening. It was, without question, the worst piece of carrot cake I've ever had. The frosting was hard, dry, stale, and completely lacking flavor, no sweetness at all. The cake itself was equally bad: dry, crumbly, and utterly tasteless. There was no hint of carrot, cinnamon, nutmeg, or any spice, just bland, dry crumbs. The cake was completely lacking sugar. After two bites, we threw it in the garbage. I don't say this lightly. I've been cooking and baking for decades, hold a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, and spent over 20 years in the industry. I've traveled extensively and eaten outstanding food around the world. For me, someone who genuinely loves desserts, to throw cake away (which is rare) says everything. I understand it was a Sunday and that fresh baking may not be happening that day, but it's simply not acceptable to sell baked goods from prior days that are clearly stale. Even more concerning than the staleness however, was the complete lack of flavor in the product. The sandwiches were disappointing, but that cake was on another level. I won't be returning for sandwiches or desserts, but perhaps the bread.

This review is based upon my recent visit to support my Food Blogger friends @thesidedishers who inspired a sundae there. It was this crazy combination based on Thanksgiving sides. I believe the components included corn casserole ice cream. Sweet potato casserole ice cream. Cranberry sauce. Whipped cream. And freeze dried green beans, for texture, and because it's Thanksgiving. LOL This was an exceptionally cool and creative seasonal Sundae. My favorite combination was the sweet corn ice cream with the sweet and acidic cranberry sauce. Will I ever order a sundae with green beans again? Probably not, but I can't rule it out. I've gotten to know Kelly a bit from my own food blogging. This discovery was so alarming and obviously jeopardized the health and safety of my family that I immediately called the store. No one picked up. I sent an email on Saturday, April 5th and realized on Tuesday, April 8th almost 4 days had passed with no reply. I decided to forward my email again and finally received a response that they did not receive my original email although the same email address I received the reply from was the exact same email address I originally emailed. Interesting.... Not to mention the forwarded email had a timestamp on it. Nevertheless, I expressed my concerns along with resending the photos. Here's where the situation gets worse .... I advised the email respondent that I saved the cake and would be more than happy to drop it off for them to have it carefully inspected. Instead, they decided to email me back and advise me that they had "carefully inspected the photos", and determined it was a carrot that underwent a chemical reaction and not a concern. SERIOUSLY!?!? Firstly, I read through the ingredients list and there isn't anything listed that should be green. Secondly, I watched the videos of at least 8 vloggers who bit into the carrot cake and turned it towards the camera and NEVER once did I see anything green. So let me guess... this "chemical reaction" just so happen to ONLY happen to my cake? Lastly, and the most disappointing part of the email stated, as a "gesture of goodwill", I would be happy to offer you a "complementary replacement cake." Complementary as in 'Free', haha! How in the world could something be 'complementary' when you already paid for it?! Which is exactly what I asked them in my response. At the bare minimum, I should've been offered a refund. And asked to bring in the piece of cake so they can carefully inspect it to protect the health and safety of ALL the North Haven, CT Crumbl patrons! UNBELIEVABLE, the way this matter was handled! Of course, I respectfully declined the cake and let the respondent know that I would never step foot back into the North Haven Crumbl again, except to drop off their contaminated product. This type of customer service is extremely poor and shows a clear picture of the type of person/persons running the North Haven establishment which I found out are two brothers by the names of Scott and Justin Cinnamon. Certainly a missed opportunity to right a wrong. And by the way, my daughter and I are Pink Status Crumbl members. For those of you who don't know, that is the highest status you can get. The way you become Pink Status is by patronizing Crumbl regularly and earning points. So No - I am not some one-time customer complaining. We actually love their product and enjoy reviewing them. North Haven Crumbl has certainly loss at least one customer due to this. Photos are below...See for yourself!
