I love it when people get all serious about how Arby's has failed their expectations. HINT: YOU ARE EATING AT ARBY'S!! I walked in, got a roast beef combo, paid like six bucks, had some Dr Pepper and helped myself to horsey sauce and the like, which were all generously arrayed in the dining room for weird customers to hoard. The dining room is reasonably clean and worn and depressing. The meat is thin and kind of salty, the bun is white and fluffy. Sure, they're trying to sell more upscale menu items to appeal to more discriminating Yelpers, but I came for the classic Arby's experience and my expectations were well met. Huzzah! read more

This place is pretty gross and it doesn't look like it's been updated since the 70's. My team at work has this horrible tradition that whenever we hire anybody we take them to Arby's for lunch. Everyone knows how bad it is, but It's like a right of passage and some sort of shared suffering. Undoubtedly, we all feel sick for the rest of the day upon returning. The place just feels dirty, sticky and the food really isn't that great. Most times I get one of their "Market Fresh" sandwiches which usually comes with grease all over the wrapper holding the sandwich. YUCK. Just for fun, look at the nutritional facts on their website. Even their "healthy" sandwiches are between 700 - 800 calories. I sure hope we don't hire anyone soon, I don't think my stomach can handle it again. read more

With the holiday weekend, the city of Sunnywale was settled. So presumably finding a place to grab a quick bite on El Camino Real won't be that difficult. Without doing any investigation on Yelp, many of the places may be good or bad. But I'm not taking that risk. I haven't been to any of the Arby's in San Francisco and like another yelper who hasn't been to Subway, I fall in that same dilemma. When I think of Arby's, I think of one die-hard yelper who loves Arby's. That yelper has held many of the certified Arby's Olympic events in the past (2006-2008). I haven't been to any of those cool events, but today I've arranged my own personal Arby's event and decided to check out the up and down franchise. From the menu, the fast-food restaurant was introducing a combo meal with the new Arby's Flat bread Melt. For $5.99, the newest sandwich had thin-sliced Roast Beef, melted Pepper-jack Cheese, and sauteed onions and peppers in a flat-bread wrapped liked a taco. Considering the wrap was sloppy and oily, the cured meat was somewhat tender, but salty. My combo meal comes with a side of curly fries and endless refill of Pepsi, which was needed to extinguish the grease and non-edible bites from my meal. With the franchise being unsteady and erratic, my first and possibly last time at Arby's will end today. Also with the disappointment of the foods, don't expect me to participate in the Arby's Olympic. Boy, did I made a horrible decision in coming to Arby's. read more

I'm an Arby's addict, but this location has went downhill in the last year. * Worse service and food (at this location only) than before - already was worse than other Arby's. * Sauce dispensers replaced by packets. Really? * Soda machine was lowered to kiddy height. I can barely bend over enough to use it. Why on earth would someone do this? Hi all, thought I would visit Arbys and try out there new fajita flat bread with my niece, I had the steak and she had the chicken, we spent 21.60 which included fully loaded fries and drinks. The meal was tasty but the atmosphere of employees was not. I would not recommend this restaurant for families as the employees we're arguing and using cuss words. I don't think I will be returning as well, had to select a star to post, but personally it would be none. read more

I love arbys. Its one of my favorite fast food chains and I will always eat there as long as they're around. With that being said this location was sorely lacking. Generally arbys customer service is great and I dont have any issues with it. But this place is another story. When we were visiting California we decided to get a little snack. I love the sliders at arbys especially the pizza one. We pulled up to the drive thru.... nobody was waiting on us. So we had to say "hello?" a few times before someone attended to us. When we pulled up to the window we sat and waited. We weren't being attended on but could hear yelling from inside. Hey I understand that customer service jobs especially fast food are stressful and obviously not easy. But with that being said when you have customers generally you have the awareness to stop what you're doing and attend to them. That didn't happen. It took a few minutes before someone opened up the window and got us our food. He was a nice fella and he apologized. Even gave us free ice cream for our trouble. But dang man! I dont know exactly what was going on inside of this place but I wouldnt go there again even if I was in the area. read more

Always loved Arbys when they used to have one in my hood of Bayfair, so had to stop by this location while in town. For what is was I had a solid experience, my gyros were delicious and had to get a A1 side of mozzarella stix! Was so satisfied that I got a classic beef n cheddar to go. Food is cheap, especially w/ coupons you can get in the mail. I wouldn't go without one, otherwise it will be a bad deal. Service is kind of slow and my friendly, neighborhood Taco Bell makes burritos much faster! It's incredible how awful Arby's are here in the bay area. After living in Atlanta (Arby's home base) for 3 years, I'm utterly underwhelmed and quite disappointed at how poor Arby's quality is here in the bay. The prices are ridiculous, the roast beef flavorless, and whats with curly fries ONLY? I remember this location used to be the bomb, having Railroad Rootbeer on tap, and "homestyle" skin-on fries. The only time I could reccomend stopping in here is if you've got coupons from the mail (in which case, you can get 2-3 sandwiches for about $5, not bad.. on their own their almost $5 each anyways. The Atlanta area locations also carry a "five pepper" sauce that's freaking amazing. Arby's sauce is still delicious, but please.. bring the 5 pepper sauce to the west coast! The old Indian lady that used to work here would always undress me with her eyes.. she's since moved on, but I was always a bit anxious the way she'd stare at me :P When I was a kid, I'd come here because they used to have this touch-screen ordering system built into the counters, WAY ahead of its time and super cool (when you're a kid growing up in the valley, anything high-tech is "cool", and this certainly was pretty neat). That's since gone away.. the homestyle fries are gone.. the Market Fresh sandwiches are alright. You're better off going to Togo's across the street for hot roast beef. read more

I'll be honest: by and large, I hate fast food (after all, the reason they call it "fast" food is because you have to eat it FAST, or else you might actually taste it!). That said, Arby's is an exception for me, and a bit of a guilty pleasure when it comes right down to it. The restaurant here in Sunnyvale is decent sized, and leaves plenty of room for seating. There are always far more tables than there are people sitting around eating their sandwiches. I also like that they have smaller tables for parties of one or two to sit at, rather than having to take up a table built for four (or more). Service is very friendly, and I've never ran into any issues there. The food comes out quickly and efficiently! So, what do you order? I've sampled many of their menu items, so here are a few quick thoughts: - My favorite is the French dip. Tastes very good with the au jus. I like to add a bit of Arby's (barbeque) sauce to it to add a bit more zing. - Their signature sandwich, the roast beef and cheddar, is pretty good. It has a certain sweetness paired with an onion flavor in its marinade that makes it excellent. - The roast beef sandwich is the same as the beef and cheddar, but without the cheddar cheese. I prefer it with the cheddar, although this one is good, too. - The chicken bacon and swiss is quite good. Their bacon is nice and crispy, and gives a crunchiness to the whole sandwich. The chicken cordon bleu was very good, but unfortunately, this Arby's location discontinued it. So, if that used to be your favorite sandwich, I've found the chicken bacon and swiss to be a good enough substitute (it's basically the same sandwich, but with bacon instead of roast ham). - I also like the ultimate Angus three cheese and bacon sandwich, although I don't like it as much as the others listed above. It has a certain smoky flavor to it that is good, but I'm not as crazy about. So, there you have it. From their signature roast beef sandwich, to the chicken bacon and swiss, to the Angus beef sandwich, there are plenty of options here for whenever you are looking for fast food. Definitely better than other fast food options. read more

First, as stated by a previous poster, this is an ARBYS. And yes, Anderson's is a way better sandwich except for one detail: if you were raised on Arby's, there is a certain "thing" about that roastbeef sandwich that only it can satisfy. I am an OLD SCHOOL fan of the roastbeef with arbyque sauce on the nice soft bun. You know from the menu board and window posters that they have new and maybe better stuff but I get to that point in ordering where the pressure is on and just can't get past the #2 combo with potato cakes (giant triangular tater tots). By the way, some idiot asked why the soda dispenser was lowered... ADA friends. Give it some thought. Anyway, I am now feeling the warm comfort of the probably not organic, mostly over processed, deliciousness coursing through my veins and can now face the computer screen again! Err the 80's called and want their Arby's back! (Seriously. I thought I was in a Back to the Future movie as I rolled into their drive through.) I got a craving for a roast beef and cheese. I haven't had one since, well ... probably the 80's ... so how appropriate! Too bad I forgot my leg warmers. It was ok. Service was pleasant and fast. For some reason, Arbys in the Minnesota area (if you're ever in MN, try the Arbys there) are far superior to those in other locations, especially here in California. It seems that the franchising isn't as strict out here or something? Anyhow, this Arbys is one of the best in the area, which is to say that it's palatable. I went to try the world famous fish sandwich that they are advertising on TV. I ordered receive my sandwich drove away when I open the sandwich it was burned beyond recognition. I drove back to The restaurant and walked inside . When I told the manager that the sandwich was burned he stated "that's how they all come" I asked him they all come burned and he said yes. I asked him to look up at the picture of the sandwich and tell me why the sandwich in my box did not look like the sandwich in the picture. He didn't have an answer for me and that is unacceptable. Really not a great place to go. I should learn my lesson but they have some great looking items on the commercials. Sadly, they are so far from what you see. I hope this was a one-off incident, but I ordered the Beef-and-Cheddar this evening, which normally has a good amount of Roast Beef. But this time, there were parts of the sandwich that literally had 1 extra thin layer of meat, i.e. pretty much all bread. The majority of the sandwich was skimpy. This is my first time at Arby's EVER! I ordered the fish sandwich with curly fries and both items were a bit cold! I ate inside and the Indian woman working there was yelling at her employee in front of me which was uncomfortable to watch & hear. The food here is just blahhh! Inside is kept clean and well kept though I give them that. I won't be returning anytime soon. Arby's brings back memories of college, when we thought a French Dip sandwich with au jus was just the bomb. Now that our taste buds have matured and we're far more finicky than we were in our younger years, Arby's can still be palatable when you're starving, or just craving the taste of those 'fake' roast beef sandwiches. The roast beef in the sandwiches freak me out now as it doesn't look quite real to me. However, once every few years, I find myself drawn towards the Arby's drive-thru for that rare fix. read more

Say what you want about Arby's roast beef but it's a hell of a lot better than a crappy old burger. I am a "meat-o-file" and I like their plain meat on plain bun concept. heh Sure it's fast food but it sure tastes good when you get stuck on a 24 hour shift and you need something to eat at 3:00am. I don't usually get anything other than the regular roast beef sandwiches. All the others have to much stuff on them that gets in the way of the meat. Among our orders was 3-piece potato cakes. While they were preparing our orders, my wife wanted to change the potato cakes to 4 pieces. We asked them to give us 4 pieces of potato cakes. Been to this store for a number of years. Always like their food even though the management does not seem to care about updating the store...looks very dated, wall paper ripping, food display a mess (empty trays). Today, went there thinking I can enjoy their AC because of the very hot weather. Surprised! They do not have AC, just a tiny fan at the sun room. The restaurant is too hot to stay in. Ordered onion rings...worst I have tasted...re-cooked, cannot find the onions (all dried up), the batter was hard. Don't want to go back again. At a time when even Big M has to pull out all stops to get business, Arby's definitely is on the way out. read more

I've been to other Arby's and they have been decent, but this is the worst one by far. They keep food under the heat lamp which goes to the drive-through for sure. What really pissed me off was that the last time I went there I got a two for 5 or 6 dollars promotion. I got the roast beef sandwich and a chicken sandwich that was made with chicken nugget sized pieces. It was slow (usually is except lunchtime) and I said I wanted every fresh and cooked to order and didn't mind waiting. The guy at the counter, in a brash tone of voice, told me "everything is fresh" as I was staring at food under the heat lamp. When I got my order the roast beef was ok, but the chicken was not even hot and dried out like it was cooked a few hours ago and slightly kept warm. It seems, since that location is slow, that the franchise owner is a cheap tightwad that keeps every thing until it sells. I've also noticed the sandwich bread is on the stale side sometimes. Arby's brings back days of youth. I'm actually surprised this one is still around since it always seems dead to me. We usually go through the drive through and food for the most part is okay. A couple times we have had to stop before we leave the parking lot because something is missing. Also, they never have shakes available because there is no machine to make them.
