I've never had good fries at In-N-Out. You'd think for how busy they are, they'd have nothing but fresh fries going out. Nope! It was like 10p on a Wednesday and the line stayed 10-20 deep the entire time. But the fries were warm and lifeless and the re-make wasn't much better. I ordered a Double Double with a whole grilled onion as I had recently heard that was an option. It was a good burger, but not wait in line for 15 then wait another 15 for the food good. Was this place founded by Jim Jones or something? And can we stop with the secret menu BS? It's probably the reason this place takes so F'ing long. If your burgers are so good, own it and stop with double grilled in whale blubber with a dry-toasted double bottom bun with shredded lettuce and 2mm thin tomatoes. Some do it better, and some do it worse, but get over it. It's a fast food burger. read more

I came in last Friday and opt-in for a protein style burger. This location's In-N-Out Burger is at least one dollar or more than the location in San Ramon, CA. The protein style burger costed around $4 something. I had the same thing at San Ramon location which only costed under $3. I guess pending on the location of the area, the prices are different. Overall, the protein style burger was good. But I probably opt in for a hamburger instead and just remove the buns since it is cheaper that way. Don't know why protein style burger costs more. Due to AMC theater located in this plaza, it gets crowded whenever folks finished watching a movie and would come here to eat. My husband had helped me place the order and it is unfortunate his order number was forgotten. He had to go up the counter after he noticed his order # was skipped and the counter person said they are making it right away and apologized for skipping his order number. Just our luck. This is my go to In n Out. I am usually met with fantastic service and amicable people, until today. I had my order repeated back to me incorrectly, to which I corrected. Once I got to the checkout window, I had my order repeated back to me incorrectly a second time. I corrected him and thought everything was fine. When I received my food, it was the initial incorrect order that I thought I had corrected the first time... then the second time... it was wrong again. I arrived home with a burger with none of the adjustments I had requested. I am left with a burger I cannot eat. I'm not sure if this is because it's late on a Saturday, but honestly after correcting their mistake twice, I'm extremely upset with being left with a burger I can't eat because it has bread when I asked for protein style (lettuce bun). I come here every now and then for a quick bite to eat when I'm seeing a movie nearby. Lately I've come often enough to know that they recently started asking if you want to round up to the nearest dollar to donate to the homeless, then following this (and just days ago) they upped the prices of their menu items. I didn't realize until after I had ordered my food. When I mentioned something to the cashier about the different price for something I get often, he reacted as if there hadn't been recent changes in prices and exclaimed "well it's only a $.17 difference." I felt gaslit honestly. Maybe they started asking to donate to the homeless out of the kindness of the hearts, but part of me thinks that they only started doing that to prepare customers for the hike in price coming their way. I wish they had just let me know. "Yeah, we recently had to raise our prices"- that feels more honest to me. Personally, I think this In-N-Out Burger is a great location! I mean it's centrally located and you have AMC Theaters right next to you! There is always plenty of parking available. I like at all their locations, that they have a person who takes your order while you are waiting in the drive-thru line! I've enjoyed this location after a moment of shopping at the Walmart Marketplace in the same center. Never had a problem. In person order takers are very nice and professional. It's speedy to pay at one window, then in a few minutes you'll get your hot, custom made burger. I always order extra lettuce, grilled onion, no cheese and no salt in the burger patty and French fries. I also order the light pink lemonade which is sugar free. Even better than I remember! The last time I had in-n-out was a couple years ago but went back on Monday and it's so good. Love that you can customize anything here (hello secret menu!) and that they have banana peppers for you to get from the condiment station. I got the cheeseburger with all the toppings and it was so delicious with the banana peppers! It added the perfect tangy spicy sour balance to the burger. The animal style fries were out of this world. The only thing is that it was a little too soggy for me so next time I'll ask for the fries to be well done. The chocolate shake was also very good. More thick than I expected. If you're hungry, I would recommend the double-double which has 2 beef patties. This location has really friendly employees and our food came out pretty fast. This is just for the service... my family and I went through the drive-thru and the lady who was taking the order outside disappeared, casually came back, didn't bother to ask if we had ordered yet (and to our thought, we would then have a chance to order at the front intercom)... nope. It so happens the lady who was running the line missed a couple of cars without any regard. It's frustrating already being in a long line, but to be so blah about it was a bit annoying. We ended up ordering at the window and instead, were placed in the "home run" parking spot having to wait for our order another 10min. It's expected to have long waits at in-n-out, but a nuisance when people obviously could give two rats butt about their job. This In-N-Out is super convenient for me because I can quickly grab a bite before I head to the movies. Either drive thru or dine in, both experiences have been pretty quick. I usually always get the single with grilled onions and my bf gets the double-single protein style. The reason why I docked a star off is the inconsistency - the tomatoes will either be thinly sliced or thickly sliced and the lettuce can be either small or big pieces.. which I realize is a bit hard to manage but just a bummer because once I ate a single the lettuce piece was super thin.
